Dr.Arias/Paradox/Pair of Ducks analysis/headcanons ! (oh my god this was REALLY HARD TO MAKE because NOBODY talks about paradox and theres almost NO info about them ! ill split these into two for Paradox and Pair of Ducks! also know, that these are just my headcanon and theories! they may not be close to the ACTUAL canon!!)

DR. ARIAS/PARADOX:

him and simon were close childhood friends! then, they also became eachothers coworkers! at that time, paradox was the head of psychology and simon was the 2nd best therapist in the site!

they both shared two interests: ducks and psychology! ducks, because of their symbolism and their various number of species!

I AGREE WITH THIS HEADCANON, but paradox smells like poisonous flowers! im thinking of belladonna!

his fashion style is dark academia! its the opposite of simon's; light academia!

he probably listens to someone like Gesaffelstein!

his birthday: February 15th, 1988 (37)

but in secret, outside of the foundation, paradox was a member of the serpent's hand!

one day though, during an experiment with scp-914, he was watching the test, BUT a d-class got scared/angry and shoved him into 914 ... ->

this incident caused him to become two ducks, but both of the ducks have his mind and soul in them! he was STILL proven to be able to work for the foundation for his human-changing trait (and the fact kain pathos is a dog and he still works)

DR. PAIR OF DUCKS

after the incident and him becoming two mallard ducks (one female, one male), obviously people were VERY confused to see two ducks coming in to work! even more confused when they saw his ability to turn into a human with both of them!

this earned his nickname: Pair Of Ducks!

but, 4 months later, he causes a containment breach that involves turning the cameras off, takes advantage of the situation to go steal scp-268 (it originally belonged to the Serpent's Hand, so they told him to go get it!) but then Simon catches him while running to a breach shelter, seeing him with the hat and Pair of Ducks attempts to convince him to leave with him to the Serpent's hand ! this doesn't work, so Simon panics and tries to convince him to defect from the Serpent's Hand last minute! They are both caught, and Pair of Ducks suddenly risks being terminated, but Simon manages to convince the higher ups to not kill him, and the higher ups agree because he's both an anomaly and important asset to the Foundation . But then he manages to fake his death, by Simon and other higher ups helping to spread the word that an MTF killed him, and another rumor that Kondraki confirmed he died. Then, after he faked his death and defected from the Serpent's Hand, L.S took over and suceeded in stealing SCP-268.

after this, the Foundation doesn't completely trust Pair of Ducks anymore, so they separate his two ducks to block his anomaly of turning into a human! Pair of Ducks is two ducks; one of them is a female mallard duck in SCP-765, the other one is a male mallard now known as Maverick; Simon's therapy pet!

When people ask him about the new unique choice of therapy animal, Simon pretends that he's grieving the death of Paradox by getting a pet that reminds him of Paradox.

a little bit about Maverick: now we know that Maverick is anomalous, but also that he's part of Paradox. Maverick can understand people, and during therapy, he helps patients by comforting them when they cry (by going on their lap for example). Paradox WAS an amazing therapist, and forever will be in his Maverick form.

and now a little bit about the other mallard duck: Paradox's other half of him is in SCP-765 (duck pond), it would make sense for this half of him to be there, since the pond has therapeutic effects, and Paradox is determined to be a good therapist even in his separated duck forms!

so....a foundation staff with an ambiguously close relationship with another member of staff got into trouble and was executed, and then had his death covered up. i wonder where else has this happened before

(i do want to see this as some sort of karmic payback that after having commited this act, the same fate would befall kondraki years later)

General headcanons for how I think the staff smell cause I'm bored 💔💔.⁠｡⁠*⁠♡

- Clef smells like a healthy mix of ass water and hay!!

- Kondraki smells like the forest, specifically pine trees (and probably also sweat..) ^^

- Shaw and/or Bright probably smell like ungodly amounts of axe body spray.

- Gears smells like absolutely nothing. It's creepy.

- Lament also smells like axe body spray, though not as badly.

- Iceberg smells EXACTLY like that freezer smell.

- Glass actually smells like various amounts of flowers! He also smells very fresh :)

- I imagine Paradox probably smells like sap for some reason..or maybe forest as well.

- Cimmerian smells faintly of honey. (And alcohol...:( )

- Crow is actually quite neutral too! Though not in a creepy way like gears.

- Light smells like vanilla!!

- Rights smells like that perfume you love but can't figure out what it exactly smells like.

- Strelinkov? Extremely overpowering deodorant.

- Talloran for some reason smells like herbal tea to me??

- King? Apples. That man will never get rid of them.

- Gerald? Always faintly smells of blood..

UAO-022 ‘The Paradox Genes’

Alright, now instead of me doing the narration, I’ll let Dr Wallflower to take over, so, take it away Dr Wallflower!

Dr Wallflower: Well, thanks old friend, and in case you don’t know, hi! I’m Dr Wallflower, and this is UAO-022 (Unidentified Anomalous Object), also known as, ‘The Paradox Genes’

Description: UAO-022 refers to a group of genes which can be divided into 2 categories, UAO-022-01 and UAO-022-02. Usually, these genes are dormant and don't really do anything until they are activated which is when the true horrors start. UAO-022-01 are roughly scarlet colour which is impossible but nonetheless, UAO-022-02 are roughly violet in colour and are found everywhere in the body just like the former. It is unclear when the genes activate but it seems to have a dormant stage of 1-20 years. Once they are activated the host will experience mild mental changes which include:

Slight increased aggression

An urge to be in the sun or an urge to be around areas with electricity

However, once the host of the genes have life threatening injuries, say for example: being stabbed at the back, that's when the true effects of UAO-022 happen. Whenever this happens, the genes will override the host’s body and the process will be divided into 3 stages:

Stage 1: Extreme pain and lost of consciousness

After the fatal blow was delivered, extreme pain will surge through the body causing the host to be unable to stand up and clutch to the ground in pain, shortly after, the host would consciousness due to the pain inflicted

Stage 2: Physical Changes

Once the host is unconscious, the genes will rapidly take over the cells in the body. Changing the DNA of the host causing the host to attain physical attributes of whatever paradox pokemon they turn into. This process is rather quick, happening below an hour.

Stage 3: Full Transformation and Loss of Control

Once the process is over, the genes will hijack the host's mind, causing them to be irrational and violet in their actions. They will appear to have no memory of who they were.

Transformed hosts of UAO-022 are extremely aggressive and will not hesitate to kill anyone in their way. It appears that they have similar behaviours to normal paradox pokemon albeit more aggressive.

While there is currently no way to remove the genes from the host, it is possible to change the host back to normal. If the host of the genes is knocked unconscious, the genes hijacking the minds will be destroyed, severely weakening them. In the weakened state, the hosts will be in control of their body and aware of everything of what's happening but unable to speak their own language. However, it is also shown that it is possible for the hosts to change back between their forms at will.

Little is known about the origins of UAO-022, but what we do know is that the genes are already present in the dex holders since birth, how did they get in there? We don't know, but what's more concerning is the organisation that caused all this in the first place. If you had paid attention in the story from the teaser, you would've remembered the sentence, 'All wearing black uniforms and a tell-tale 'R' symbol, only difference being that it is rainbow coloured instead of being red.' The rainbow coloured R, what organisation has this? More importantly, why are they doing this? Maybe one day, our questions will be answered in the future. Although Katie herself exhibits no anomalous properties, there are specific things that are of note.

She has multiple augmentations, specifically in her brain, back, and arms.

Arms:

Three ports on each arm, which are capable of connecting to any Sevcon AI Override, meaning she could control literally any piece of Sevcon Tech she wants, and by connecting to Facility 19's central AI, she can connect to the Sevcon Server Grid, and take control of EVERYTHING, ANY TECH EVER, at once.

Back:

Five ports, each capable of connecting to Sevcon AI Replacement Tech, meaning Katie, or any one of her clones, can be used as an AI, instead of just an AI Override.

Brain:

An override that allows her to take control of the Clones or Sevcon Drones and use them as a Hive Mind.

Katie and her clones also have earpieces, that allow her to communicate with any Sevcon Facility, meaning she has effective communication to Weapons, Self Destructs, Facility Functions, and Flight Controls from literally ANYWHERE and in any universe.

Katie has an extremely high intelligence, which allows her to quickly jerry rig anything into anything she wants, meaning she can improvise any type of tech assuming she has the right equipment.

Which is usually ANY type of metal scrap.

The only anomalous properties Katie holds are the following:

Origin (Not a clone) Only:

Black inky substance that she can control with her mind, that pumps directly from her heart. The substance is not known to have any limits, even capable of piercing through Sevium (Strongest liquid, and the liquid that Sevcon Uses for warp fuel) reinforced titanium with no effort.

All Katies:

Universal Constant: Katie exists across EVERY universe, no matter what. Her remains were even found in several universes that never formed life.

Immunity To Reality Anchors: As the name suggests, Katie is completely immune to Scranton Reality Anchors.

Kaitlyn C. B. File addendum:

It has been officially proven that IC Katie is aware of OOC Katie.

This also proves a boundary outside of every higher universal layer that is the real world, and not the Sevcon ARG, meaning that Sevcon's timeline truly does encompass every possible situation, including one where Katie creates the Sevcon Timeline itself.

This has developed into an infinite paradox and all records of the quote 'Real World' must be destroyed to protect normalcy.
