Scout Talbot-Smith.

FATHER’S DAY
The death of Lucille Ball’s father at an early age had a great impact. Throughout the four situation comedies built around her, the “Lucy” characters had mothers, but references to their fathers was rare. Here’s a tribute to the precious few dads found in the Lucyverse!
Tumblr media
Henry “Had” Durrell Ball (1887-1915) ~ Father of Lucille Ball and Fred Ball.
Tumblr media
Desiderio Alberto Arnaz y Alberni II (1894-1973) ~ Father of Desi Arnaz and grandfather of Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz IV. Desi Jr. is now the father of two.
Tumblr media
Ricky Ricardo (aka Ricardo Alberto Fernando Ricardo y de Acha aka Enrique Alberto Fernando Ricardo y de Acha III) ~ Father of Ricky Ricardo Jr. (Keith Thibodeaux). Actually, Ricky’s son was played by 8 actors over the course of the series.
Tumblr media
In “Return Home From Europe” (ILL S5;E26), Ricky insists that he is not the father of baby Cheddar Chester!
Tumblr media
Below are all the fathers on “I Love Lucy”!
But first, a (Father’s Day) word from our sponsor!
Tumblr media
Will Potter ~ Father of Ethel Mertz. Besides Ricky himself, Will Potter (Irving Bacon) is the only father of the main characters on “I Love Lucy.”  Although all four have living mothers (two of whom are characters on the show), only Ethel’s father is alive and well and appears on screen in “Ethel’s Hometown” (ILL S4;E16).
Tumblr media
Charlie Appleby ~ Father of Stevie. Charlie makes two appearances on the series, although each time he is played by a different actor: Hy Averback played him in “Baby Pictures” (ILL S3;E5) and George O'Hanlon (inset photo) in “Lucy and Superman” (ILL S6;E13).
Tumblr media
Harry Munson ~ Father of Billy. Harry and Grace live about a mile from the Ricardos in Connecticut. Harry is played by Tristram Coffin in two episodes: “Lucy Misses the Mertzes” (ILL S6;E17) and in “The Country Club Dance” (S6;E25).
Tumblr media
Ralph Ramsey ~ Father of Bruce Ramsey. The Ramseys live across from the Ricardos in Westport. Ralph (Frank Nelson) was only seen in two Connecticut-based episodes: “Lucy Gets Chummy With The Neighbors” (ILL S6;E18) and “The Country Club Dance” (ILL S6;E25), although Nelson appeared in many more episodes as different characters.
Tumblr media
Danny Williams ~ Father of Rusty, Linda and Terry, although Terry does not appear in “Lucy Makes Room For Danny”, the cross-over episode that brought “The Danny Thomas Show” to CBS. In fact, for its first three years, the show was known as “Make Room for Daddy.”  Subsequently, Thomas did a sequel called “Make Room for Granddaddy” and Lucille Ball guest-starred on it in 1971.
Tumblr media
The Sheriff of Bent Fork, Tennessee ~ Father of twin girls Teensy and Weensy. Will Wright played the character in “Tennessee Bound” (ILL S4;E15).
Tumblr media
Mr. Stanley ~ Father to nine girls! When “Lucy Goes To The Hospital” (ILL S2;E16), Ricky meets a man in the fathers’ waiting room (played by Charles Lane) anxiously awaiting the birth of his latest (and he says last) child, whom he hopes will be a boy. His hopes are dashed - times three over!
Tumblr media
The Italian Farmer ~ in “Lucy’s Bicycle Trip” (ILL S5;E24), claims to have nine  children: Teresa, Sofia, Luigi, Pietro, Dino, Gino, Rosa, Mario, and Antonio!  The Farmer is played by Mario Siletti, but his "multi bambini” remain off screen!
Tumblr media
Ernie Kovacs ~ Father of Kippie and Bette, unseen but mentioned characters in “Lucy Meets the Mustache” (LDCH S3;E3) in 1960. The girls are said to be making friends with Little Ricky, while their father entertains at Lucy and Ricky’s (last) party.
Moving on to the Fathers of “The Lucy Show”...
Tumblr media
Theodore J. Mooney ~ Father of Bob, Ted, Arnold, and Rosemary, who was never seen, but is said to live in Trenton and to have had a baby, making Mr. Mooney a grandfather as well! Gale Gordon played Mr. Mooney from 1963 to 1968. If the character was ever given a spin-off, it might have been called “My Three Sons”!
Tumblr media
Father Time ~ Played by Sherman Bagley (Ralph Hart) in “Chris’s New Year’s Eve Party” (TLS S1;E14). He is accompanied by Baby New Year played by Jerry Carmichael (Jimmy Garrett). In the series, Sherman’s father Ralph is mentioned, but never seen. Jerry’s dad is deceased and never given a name.
Tumblr media
Kenneth Westcott ~ Father of Debbie, who is a friend of Lucy Carmichael’s daughter Chris and Principal of their high school in 1963′s “Lucy is a Chaperone” (TLS S1;E27). He is played by Hanley Stafford.
Tumblr media
Mr. Sanford ~ Father of Timmy, who is having a birthday where Lucy and Viv are hired as party planners and the entertainment in “Kiddie Parties, Inc.” (TLS S2;E2). Mr. Sanford is played by Lyle Talbot. If he was ever given a sequel, it might be called “Sanford and Son”!
Tumblr media
Jonathan Winslow ~ Father of Charlie, Danny and Bobbie (aka Roberta) in “Lucy the Babysitter” (TLS S5;E16). What Lucy doesn’t realize is that the Winslow children are actually baby chimps!  Mr. Winslow was played by Jonathan Hole.
Tumblr media
In “Lucy and Harry’s Tonsils” (TLS S2;E5), Mr. Phillips (Jack Collins) plays an father expecting his first child who believes Mr. Mooney is there for the same reason, while Mr. Mooney thinks Mr. Phillips is there for a tonsillectomy! Phillips (having his third child) is similar to the character of Mr. Stanley (who is having his ninth – all girls!) in “Lucy Goes to the Hospital” (ILL S2;E16).
Tumblr media
“Lucy Becomes a Father” (TLS S3;E9) finds single mom and widow Lucy Carmichael trying to be both mother and father to her son, Jerry. She joins five other cub scout dads on a weekend away, trying desperately to do what the other dads do. The fathers include (left to right): Hal Smith as Mr. Wilson, George ‘Red’ Fox as George (hidden), Gale Gordon as Mr. Mooney, George Niese as Mr. Carter, and Buster West as Tom. Coincidentally, Gale Gordon had the surnames Carter in “Here’s Lucy” and Wilson in “Dennis the Menace” but neither were dads!
Tumblr media
In the play “The Founding of Danfield” staged in “Lucy and Arthur Godfrey” (TLS S3;E23) in 1965, Godfrey plays “Daddy” of Lucybelle (Lucy Carmichael), and [spoiler alert] Conrad P. Field (Mr. Mooney) turns out to be the daddy of the Honest-But-Poor Piano Player Dan (Vinnie, played by Max Showalter). In real life, Godfrey was the father of three.
Tumblr media
The Father of Our Country ~ George Washington, as embodied by Lucy Carmichael when “Lucy and Viv Open a Restaurant” (TLS S2;E20). Viv (Vivian Vance) dresses a George’s wife, Martha, to promote their new Colonial-themed restaurant.
Tumblr media
In “Lucy the Gun Moll” (TLS S4;E25), Lucille Ball plays both Lucy Carmichael and a look-alike gun moll named Rusty, who performs the Cole Porter song “My Heart Belongs to Daddy”!
And now the Dads of “Here’s Lucy”....
Tumblr media
Mr. Caldwell ~ Father of Laurie in “Mod, Mod Lucy” (HL S1;E1), the very first episode of “Here’s Lucy.” Lew Parker played the over-protective dad of teenage Laurie (Nancy Roth). His wife is played by Nancy Howard. Parker was best known for playing the father of another TV character, Ann Marie (Marlo Thomas) on “That Girl.” In real-life, Marlo’s father was Lucy’s friend and co-star - one of the most famous daddies on TV - Danny Thomas!
Tumblr media
On “Lucy and Johnny Carson” (HL S2;E11), while appearing on “The Tonight Show” and playing Stump the Band, Lucy Carter chooses a song titled “Snoops the Lawyer” that she says her father sang to her when she was a child.  This is the only mention of her father on the series. Coincidentally, Ball’s real mother is one of the audience members (Carson is sitting on the arm of her chair). Since the song was not written until 1920, and Lucille Ball’s real father Henry died in 1915, this cannot be a real-life recollection from Lucy.
Tumblr media
Lee Wong ~ Father of Linda Chang and Sue Chin in “Lucy the Laundress” (HL S2;E17). The single father and business owner was played by James Hong.
Tumblr media
Moose Manley ~ Father of milquetoast Wally in “Lucy and Wally Cox” (HL S2;E21). Moose was played by Alan Hale Jr. and his timid son by Wally Cox (insert).
Tumblr media
Harrison Otis Carter the First ~ Great Grandfather of Harry Carter IV (aka Harry). Gale Gordon’s image was used to create Harry’s great grandfather.  Harry claims he was one of the founders of Sinclairville, New York, and was father of 17 children!
Tumblr media
Konstantin Kasos ~ Grandfather of the Bride in “Lucy’s Wedding Party” (HL S3;E8). The role was played by Bruce Gordon (”The Untouchables”) who was really just 55 years old playing a 77 Greek granddaddy.
Tumblr media
Vincent Price - Father of Victoria aka “Little Vicky”, the name of Price’s real-life daughter, who is mentioned by Lucy, but does not appear in the episode “Lucy Cuts Vincent’s Price” (HL S3;E9).
Tumblr media
Alfredo Colucci ~ Father of Ricardo, Anna Maria, Louisa, Luigi, Vincenzo, Dino, Lucrezia, Alfredo Jr., Margarito, Bruno, Rosa, and Frederico - all of whom appear in the final moments of “Lucy and Harry’s Italian Bombshell” (HL S4;E3) starring Kaye Ballard. Emile Autuori plays Alfredo, but the twelve children appear uncredited.
Tumblr media
Claude Wolff ~ Husband of Petula Clark, who was noticeably pregnant when they played themselves on a “Here’s Lucy” in 1972. In real-life, Wolff became a dad for the third time with the birth of his first son, Patrick.
Tumblr media
Harry Carter (Gale Gordon) finally got to play a working class dad to two unambitious teens when he appeared in a TV commercial during “Lucy and Cousin Ernie’s Fun Farm” (HL S1;E23) in 1969.
Tumblr media
Harry Carter (Gale Gordon) pretends to be a husband and father (to be) when he convinces Lucy to play his pregnant wife to scare of a domineering suitor (Jean Willes) in “Lucy, The Part-Time Wife” (HL S3;E14).
Tumblr media
The Lucyverse has plenty of room for fathers of all kinds. Father Lambros (Paul Picerni) showed up for a Greek wedding in “Lucy’s Wedding Party” (HL S3;E8).
And Finally, “Life With Lucy
All Lucy Fathers come back to Gale Gordon - a man who never had children in real life!
Tumblr media
Curtis McGibbon ~ Father of Ted McGibbon and Grandfather of Ted’s children Rebecca and Kevin. Gale Gordon played Curtis, the patriarch on “Life With Lucy,” with Larry Anderson as Ted, Jenny Lewis as Becky, and Philip Amelio as Kevin.
Tumblr media
In “Mother of the Bride” (LWL S1;E8) in 1986, Lucy Barker and her sister Audrey (Audrey Meadows) mention their father during a private conversation in the kitchen.

CANTLON'S CORNER: HOCKEY NEWS AND NOTES OFF SEASON VOLUME 12
Tumblr media
BY: Gerry Cantlon, Howlings HARTFORD, CT - The world is slowly approaching normalcy. Sports news is becoming more and more prevalent as ALL sports are moving closer and closer towards returning into the daily lives of its fans. AHL AWARDS The American Hockey League announced that forward Gerry Mayhew of the Iowa Wild has been voted the winner of the Les Cunningham Award as the AHL’s Most Valuable Player for the 2019-20 season. Mayhew scored a league-best 39 goals – the most by an AHL skater since 2011-12 – and finished third with 61 points in 49 games, leading Iowa to the team's best regular-season record in franchise history. 10 of Mayhew’s goals were game-winners and logging 11 multiple-goal performances, including a natural hat trick in a 3-0 win over the San Diego Gulls on Feb. 14. Mayhew tied a franchise mark with a ten-game scoring streak from December 12th to January 10th. Mayhew earned CCM/AHL Player-of-the-Month honors for January after he totaled 12 goals and 19 points in 11 contests. Among Mayhew’s 39 tallies were 13 power-play goals and two shorthanded markers. He also led the Wild in plus/minus rating at plus-16. Iowa was 26-7-1-2 in games when Mayhew registered a point. Mayhew represented Iowa at the 2020 AHL All-Star Classic in Ontario, CA, and was voted a Second Team Left-Wing AHL All-Star for 2019-20. He also made his National Hockey League debut this season, notching two goals in 13 games with Minnesota – including a goal in his first appearance on October 15th in Toronto. 2020-21 SEASON When it starts, where it starts still remains to be seen at the NHL or AHL level. The NHL has agreed-upon a framework to return to play, but several major details are still being worked out. While questions remain how it will all play out, signs point to a resumption of hockey sometime this summer. The AHL season start will not be in October, with the most likely start being some point in November. The October 9th scheduled date for the home opener for the Hartford Wolf Pack is almost certainly going to be rescheduled. One of the many side issues is the pending expiration of player contracts at the end of June but of the contracts of teams' hockey staff at the end of the month. “They’re running out of runway here and a lot of people are in limbo,” one source said. "It isn’t only players, its all the hockey ops people, GM, Assistant GM, Head Coaches, assistants, equipment managers, trainers, and scouts are all sitting around wondering a lot about this. What I’m hearing is the likelihood is that they will slide contracts forward say 60-90 days, then, announce a Draft Day and then a free agency period. The other big issue is, of course, the salary cap and what we're hearing is a freeze on the cap at this year’s level ($82.1M) for the next two-to-three years until the economy recovers. In principle, both sides are happy. They have areas of interest they want to clarify moving forward, but a ten-year extension for the CBA is being bandied about. It's in discussion but nothing's finalized.” The business of hockey is a large and expansive one with many pieces of the financial puzzle still to be resolved. PLAYER MOVEMENT A big coaching opportunity has opened up after the Los Angeles Kings announced on Saturday that they will not renew the contract of Ontario Reign head coach, Mike Stothers, whose contract is set to expire on June 15th. Stothers has led the Kings’ affiliate for the last six seasons, including five with the Reign (2015-20) where he earned the Louis A.R. Pieri Award as the AHL’s outstanding coach and won a Calder Cup championship with the Manchester Monarchs in 2014-15. “We appreciate everything Mike has contributed to the organization,” said Rob Blake, Vice President and General Manager of the Kings in a press release. “He has played an important role in helping develop our players and we want to thank him for his years of service and guiding us to a Calder Cup Championship in 2015." San Diego's Chris Wideman heads to the Torpedo Novgorod (Russia-KHL) and Frank Corrado of the Belleville Senators signs with MODO (Sweden-Allsvenskan). Lukáš Radil, who split the year in San Jose between the AHL Barracuda and the NHL Sharks signs with Spartak Moscow (Russia-KHL) while Carter Camper of the Utica Comets has his eyes on Sweden or perhaps Russia for next year. 23 players have now signed in Europe. 16 of the 31 AHL teams have lost at least one player to a European signing. Ex-Pack, Kodie Curran, turned down a KHL deal with Avangard Omsk (Russia) to sign a two-year, one-way deal at a $1M/year with the Anaheim Ducks. He will likely be in San Diego to start the season. He played with Rogle BK (Sweden-SHL) last year earning high marks as the top defenseman in the SHL and the Golden Helmet Award as the regular season MVP. Nice story on Curran in the Calgary Herald. Read it HERE. A pair of ex-Wolf Pack players were swapped for one another in a two-for-one deal in Russia. Defenseman, Alexei Bereglazov, winner of two Gagarin Cup titles, and forward, Ilya Kablukov, depart Mettallurg Magnitogorsk (Russia-KHL) for Avangard Omsk. Going back the other way in the deal is right-wing, Taylor Beck, an ex-Sound Tiger. Ryan Verbeek, the nephew of former Hartford Whaler and New York Ranger, and current Detroit Red Wing Assistant GM, Pat Verbeek, returns to France to play with Elite Magnus League HC Briancon next season. He split this season with Pensacola and Huntsville of the SPHL. Calvon Boots of the American International College (AHA) leaves the Springfield, MA school for the Rochester Institute of Technology (AHA) in the fall. AIC goalie, Zacharias Skog completes his four years and signs a pro deal back home with Vasterviks IK (Sweden-SHL). His movement makes 31 college players signing in Europe. Goalie, Ryan Edquist, after just 21 games in four years with the Boston College Eagles (HE) has grad transferred back home to the Minnesota State-Mankato Mavericks (NCHC). He will be the backup to next season's likely Hobey Baker finalist, Dryden McKay, who had a 1.31 GAA, tops in the nation in his sophomore year. He is the son of one-time Whaler, Ross McKay. Edquist's transfer makes for 16 Division I grads moving to new schools. Andrew Mancini, (Canterbury Prep-New Milford) drafted as the first-ever draft pick by the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks in the NAHL Supplemental Draft has opted to sign with the P.A.L. Islanders (NCDC) which is closer to his Long Island home for next season. Cam MacDonald (Selects Academy of South Kent Prep) who was a Boston College (HE) commit for 2022-23 has elected to head home and signed with the Saint John Sea Dogs (QMJHL). He spent last season with the Sioux Falls Stampede (USHL). Max Coyle becomes the fourth University of Alabama-Huntsville (WCHA) player to transfer from the program that was slated to be eliminated. He heads to Bowling Green (NCHC). Read that story, next. TALBOT, A SAVE AND A BEAUTY The University Alabama-Huntsville Chargers were on the verge of extinction until a former Wolf Pack goaltender got involved. In just ten days' time, the Chargers' program received an astounding $500K in donations allowing the University to continue to have their team play in the WCHA conference. The conference formally reinstated the program on Wednesday. The conference is losing seven schools after the 2020-21 season as they form the new CCHA conference. UAH may apply so they have a more travel-friendly schedule according to now-former head coach Mike Corbett, who stepped down on Wednesday, along with Assistant Coach, and long time AHL player, Gavin Morgan. The other assistant coach Lance West was named Interim Head Coach. West played at UA-H in the early 1990s, three-of-the-four years at Division II. He was an assistant coach for ten years after graduating before spending the next eleven seasons at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks Nanooks (WCHA), the first ten of them as an assistant coach. He returned to the program two years ago. A fundraising campaign to support the continuation of the Alabama-Huntsville hockey program was successful in raising the critical monetary gifts from numerous individual donors, according to UA-H Athletic Director, Cade Smith in a story on AL.com. The dollars were matched by two separate gifts of $125,000 each. The gifts came from long-time hockey supporters, Taso Sofikitis, and Sheldon Wolitski, who played on the school’s Division II national championship team. The total amount of more than $750,000 in private dollars will allow the Chargers to continue to compete at the Division I level during the 2020-21 season. This total philanthropic contribution is the largest athletic campaign contribution in the history of UA-H. One of the school's biggest program supporters and who helped spearhead the drive was its most famous former Charger, and current Calgary Flames and ex-Wolf Pack netminder, Cam Talbot. He took to his own Twitter page to express why people should donate to the cause. “This program gave me a chance that nobody else would. Without my time spent @UAHuntsville, I would not have got the opportunity to be where I am today. I want those opportunities to continue for more young players for years to come!” Talbot was named to the advisory board. In addition to the private dollars, UAH president, Darren Dawson, committed money from the university to cover the balance of the hockey team’s operational costs during the upcoming season. “We are thankful from the loyal support that has been demonstrated this week by the fans and alumni of Charger hockey,” said Dawson in a press release statement. “We are hopeful that this support will translate into a sustainable funding model that will allow the UAH hockey program to rise again to high levels of success,” “The university is fully committed to the upcoming season,” Smith added. “The university will work with the supporters of the UAH hockey program and a newly formed hockey advisory board to develop a plan that will allow the Chargers to thrive in the 2020-21 season and beyond. UAH is committed to building a world-class Division I hockey program with a permanent conference home that will allow the Chargers to continue past the 2020-21 season.” The school has already allocated money and cleared space for a brand-new, on-campus arena before the pandemic hit looking to take the Chargers from the larger, off-campus site, the Van Braun Center, which is the home of the local SPHL team, the Huntsville Havoc, to a more manageable facility. The WCHA conference will be strengthened and could become the first fully functioning West-Coast-based Conference as they are likely to add Arizona State, whose brand new on-campus arena is expected to be ready in 2021. The two Alaska schools in Fairbanks and Anchorage are likely to merge in the near future because of state budget cuts. The conference will likely then add other major West Coast Division I colleges and universities such as Los Angeles-based USC, and UCLA, Colorado-based, Air Force, who will likely switch from the AHA conference, and perhaps UNLV, and Utah, who are currently ACHA Division I club programs. Despite the good financial news, the Chargers program lost another player to transfer when Bailey Newton announced he will leave after his sophomore season and head back to Canada and the University of Western Ontario Mustangs (OUAA) QMJHL The last Canadian major junior Draft is this weekend. The QMJHL Draft will be done remotely for the first time with the first round scheduled for Friday on the league’s YouTube channel. Rounds 2-14 will be on Saturday starting at 9 am with selection results on the league website. The QMJHL U.S. Draft will be held on Monday, June 8th with results on the league's website. The states with eligible players in the US Draft are from are; Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. A strong rumor is that the QMJHL will start it's 2020-21 season on October 1st, regardless of what the other two major junior leagues, the OHL and WHL, do. In part, it will be because they have no US-based franchises. The only issue will be European players' participation based on provincial and directives from Ottawa regarding COVID-19 and the US border for American players which of course by mutual consent is still closed. “The feeling is they want to get back to a regular order of business starting a month later is OK, but they want to get back on track,” commented a reliable hockey source with knowledge of the situation. Having fans in the buildings are necessary for franchises to survive, but Health Canada will have the final say on when the puck is dropped. The NAHL has pushed its Draft Day to July 21st. The CHL Import Draft that normally takes place after the NHL Draft and no date has been set for either. COLLEGE HOCKEY The Dartmouth head coaching opening was filled with a familiar name to followers of Connecticut college hockey as Reid Cashman, who spent four years as a defenseman with the Quinnipiac Bobcats (ECACHL) in their rise to national prominence, was named the new head coach for the Dartmouth Big Green (ECACHL) on Monday. He becomes the 22nd coach in school history and replaces the all-time winningest coach, Bob Gaudet, who stepped down after 23 years year in the top spot. “I feel like I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to be the head coach of the Dartmouth men’s hockey program,” Cashman said in a press release statement. “For 114 years, Dartmouth has competed at the highest level and has produced Olympians, All-Americans, and NHL players. Along with the great history on the ice, Dartmouth College has been one of the finest institutions in the world for more than 250 years. It is truly an honor to be given this prestigious opportunity.” Cashman has been on a fast track professionally. He was an assistant coach for two years with the Hershey Bears (AHL) and has spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach with the Washington Capitals, with his portfolio being the Caps powerplay and defense. He also coordinated their development camps and participation in the Traverse City, MI annual prospects tournament. He won’t start this new position until the NHL playoffs for the Capitals concludes, whenever that may be. Cashman played 151 games for the Hamden-based university. In 151 career games, Cashman tallied 23 goals and still holds the school record of 125 assists for 242 total points. He was an NCAA (East First-Team, All-American in his senior year in 2006-07. He was a second-team honoree in his junior in 2003-2004. In Quinnipiac’s last season in the AHA conference, he was named to the First Team and led the conference in scoring. He was named Player of the Year. In addition, Cashman was a Hobey Baker Top 10 finalist before the Bobcats were elevated to the ECACHL conference. Cashman played five years of minor professional hockey with his last year in North America winning an ECHL Kelly Cup championship with the Cincinnati Cyclones in 2010. Cashman’s last pro year was spent in Austria skating for EHC Linz in Erste Bank Eishockey League (EBEL). The Red Wing, MN native was undrafted but played in the AHL for Toronto, Wilkes Barre/Scranton, and Milwaukee. In the ECHL, he played for Columbia, Wheeling, and Cincinnati After retiring from active playing, he returned to Quinnipiac and became an assistant coach to Rand Pecknold for five years (2011-2016) and went to two Frozen Four Finals. Quinnipiac lost to first to their conference, and in-state rival, Yale University, in a 4-0 shutout in 2013 and again in 2016 losing 5-1 to North Dakota. Thomas Maia is another Division I player heading to the Canadian Junior A ranks while still retaining his NCAA eligibility. Maia, who suffered a broken fibula without playing a game for R.I.T. (AHA), heads to the Victoria Grizzlies (BCHL) after he was traded from the Oakville Blades (OJHL). Speaking of Yale University, they announced its 2020 freshmen class of seven which includes head coach Keith Allain's son, Nik (North Branford/Taft Prep) from Boston (NCDC). He was a UCONN commit at one point. Ryan Stevens joins his brother Luke who is already with the Bulldogs. The boys' father is Kevin Stevens, the former NHL'er with the New York Rangers. Stevens, the elder, won two Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The other announced players include Reilly Connors (Madison/Loomis Chaffe), and goalie Nathan Reid, from Sioux Falls (USHL). LIU named its first head coach last week, and this week their first batch of LIU Sharks recruits with the first-ever recruit signed being Jordan DiCicco of the Brooks Bandits (AJHL). He was followed by nine others including, Connor Szmul, from the Chippewa (WI) Steel (NAHL), Daine Dubois of the Bonnyville Pontiacs (AJHL), Robert McCollum Muskegon Lumberjacks (USHL), no relation to ex-Wolf Pack Tom McCollum. Also, Nolan McElhaney, who missed all of last year with an ACL injury, transfers from the University of New Hampshire Wildcats (HE), and a second Division I transfer, Mitch Meek, from Michigan Tech (WCHA). Madoka Suzuki of the Kemptville 73’s (CCHL), Marty Westhaver of the Victoria Grizzlies (BCHL), Aaron White of the Amarillo Bulls (NAHL), and Gustav Muller of the Madison Capitols (USHL). TRIVIA What was Wayne Gretzky's last non-99 uniform number? He wore number 26 for three games with the Peterborough Petes. Last month was the 25th anniversary of the Quebec Nordiques' last game. It was at MSG against the Rangers in the Stanley Cup playoffs. The Rangers won the series in six games with the last goal in Nordiques history was scored by Peter Forsberg. The Nordiques were the first WHA team that merged with the NHL that was moved. Read the full article

Ramblings: Thoughts on Tierney, Chabot, Sanheim, Theodore, the Domino Effect and more (Mar 04)
Ramblings: Thoughts on Tierney, Chabot, Sanheim, Theodore, the Domino Effect and more (Mar 04)
***
Now available for pre-sale – the 13th annual Interactive Playoff Draft List. Pre-order it here. It will be released the Friday before the season ends. If you bought the Ultimate Fantasy Pack in the summer, this will be included in that purchase. It is not included in the Keeper Fantasy Pack.
*
I’ve seen some people picking the Oilers apart for giving draft picks for the likes of Alex Petrovic and/or Brandon Manning. But really, what were they gonna do with that pick – draft with it? It’s the Oilers we’re talking about.
*
I don’t blame the Oilers for any of their first-round picks, I would have drafted the same players. The failures – well, that was a case of picking in the wrong spot at the wrong time and in each case they took the best player available. But first rounders are no-brainers. A GM can make those picks without any scouting staff at all. They can just use Central Scouting or DobberProspects for that, am I right? The scouting staff comes into play with the picks after the first round, and that’s where Edmonton is pitiful. Sure, they have been better since 2015, but the bar for them was really low heading into that. Really they just went from ‘the worst’ to ‘something slightly below average’. I would seriously do a full-scale review of the entire staff and let three quarters of them go. Need fresh blood and a fresh outlook. And get back your analytics staff.
*
I don’t know how I didn’t know this, or maybe I did and forgot, but a big need for the Oilers is a top puck-moving defenseman and they actually drafted Erik Gustafsson (fourth round, 2012). They couldn’t come to terms with him (or didn’t want to) in 2014 and lost him. A year later, Chicago signed him. Four years later, he has 41 points in 42 games.
*
Alexandar Georgiev took the SOL Sunday, giving up a goal that didn’t actually go in the net (he threw his stick). Georgiev is 4-1-2, 2.78 and 0.920 SV% since February 6 and at this point he’s been starting every other game. He’s obviously performing better with the regular workload. As with most goalies, sporadic starts don’t work very well for him. It takes a certain mindset to be a successful backup, and that’s why career backups never become starters. From what I’ve seen of Georgiev, he is not a great backup. But is he good enough to be a starter? Perhaps, but his window for doing that in New York is closing as the organization’s Russian phenom Igor Shesterkin is likely on the way, perhaps as early as next year.
{youtube}W4kAmTW0s48{/youtube}
Neil Pionk has just two points in his last 25 games.
*
It’s a combination of the new coach and the fact that all the star players are gone, well…more of the latter, but Chris Tierney is finally getting big power-play time. Oddly enough, that’s about when the production stopped for him. Maybe he’s like Conor Sheary and can’t produce with top-line minutes. But he has just one point in seven games and is minus-10 in that span. Prior to that he had 16 points in 17 games. I almost really like his outlook for next year. First, he’s one of the best players on the team now (who are they going to sign that is better? Will anyone even want to go there this summer?). Second, he’ll be 25 next season. I love the age of 26 the most in fantasy, but that’s close enough. Third, his trend is astonishingly steady. It goes upward at a nice pace, even going up a little during the supposed sophomore slump: 0.25, 0.29, 0.49 points-per-game average the last three years and is 0.62 this year. The only problem is – and it’s a big one – to whom will he give the puck? If he leads all Ottawa forwards in scoring next year will that be with 49 points?
I was asked a couple of times about Thomas Chabot, and what to do with him during what is the fantasy playoffs in some leagues. He has one point in seven games and is minus-13 (kind of makes Tierney’s last seven games look good). The entire team has been crap, which caused the coach to be fired prior to the season ending, which had initially been the plan. With a new coach things will turn around. That’s a relative term, of course, since this is a bad team so how much could it possibly turn around. But it will turn around in terms of winning the odd game and keeping them close. That means that Chabot’s plus/minus won’t be as horrible. But because the team lacks firepower, the points won’t be there. With 24 games left, Chabot will get about 10 to 11 points and will be minus-2. That’s my call. If that’s not worth keeping for your playoffs then you have to drop him.
Brian Gibbons isn’t getting a lot of ice time, but he does have three points in four games since joining Ottawa. He’s also playing on a line with Brady Tkachuk and Colin White.
*
Florida coach Bob Boughner decided to reward rookie Henrik Borgstrom’s three-point effort on Saturday by giving him 11:33 of ice time on Sunday. That’s actually a reward. It’s his highest TOI in five games and third-highest in 12.
*
Brian Elliott carried a shutout into the final five minutes and the Flyers chased Robin Lehner after three goals by the 23-minute mark. Elliott is healthy now and has three Quality Starts in his last four games. Cam Talbot’s one and only start for the team was a Quality Start. So the team is getting solid goaltending now and they’re winning games in a late surge for the postseason.
With another goal Sunday Travis Konecny has 18 points in his last 19 games. He’s still not getting onto the top PP unit and I wonder if they should consider putting him there.
Shayne Gostisbehere has one point in his last eight games while Travis Sanheim has 14 points in his last 16 games. Sanheim moved up to the top PP with Ghost on Sunday. He’s 115 games into his NHL career, but it appears that he’s arrived. At least his proven enough that he can move the puck at this level. There is no threat to Ghost, don’t worry about that, as $4.5 million for the next four seasons will see to it that he gets all the PP time. As a one-dimensional offensive player, Gostisbehere can’t really be used in a checking role.
*
Marc-Andre Fleury has not allowed a goal in 169 minutes. This team is on fire now and the addition of Mark Stone has not only kickstarted the line he is on, but it’s free up the William Karlsson line. So that line is back rolling. Remember last year early on when it was considered the second line? This year it came in as the clear-cut first line: Karlsson with Jonathan Marchessault and Reilly Smith. So of course the opposition keyed in on it, effectively stopping them. Now who do you key on? You can’t let Stone and Max Pacioretty run wild, right? Domino effect.
Further domino effect? Shea Theodore. He has four points in his last three games, his ice time has ramped up and he has 17 SOG in that span.
*
With two points on Sunday, Jakob Silfverberg now has just seven points in his last 14 games. That, uh…leads Anaheim. Truth.
After missing most of the season with a UBI, Kevin Roy finally got into his first game. He had four points in five AHL games on a conditioning stint. Ryan Getzlaf was also back in the lineup and Roy was plunked on his line. Here were the line combos for the Ducks:
20%
GETZLAF,RYAN – PERRY,COREY – ROY,KEVIN
19.6%
JONES,MAX – KESLER,RYAN – ROWNEY,CARTER
11.1%
HENRIQUE,ADAM – SPRONG,DANIEL – TERRY,TROY
10.2%
RAKELL,RICKARD – SHORE,DEVIN – SILFVERBERG,JAKOB
Roy may not have produced, but his presence on the first line allowed Silfverberg to play with a talented player (finally) in Rakell. Domino effect.
Since arriving in the Ducks organization Brendan Guhle has been in the lineup and given the PP reins. He’s seen about seven minutes of PP time so far but has yet to produce on it. Still, he picked up an ES assist Sunday. He’s young, so I would be surprised if he makes a splash this year even with all the PPTOI. But it’s experience, and it’s an indicator as to where the team hopes he’ll fit in down the road.
*
Derick Brassard was on the second line with Carl Soderberg and J.T. Compher, scoring his second goal in an Avs’ uniform (four games). The team is 1-2-1 since he joined.
*
For the first time in his career, Blake Wheeler scored four goals. He became the fifth player in franchise history to do that, joining Patrik Laine, Mathieu Perreault, Ilya Kovalchuk and…? Answer in the comments if you know it.
A year and a half ago I was high on Nathan Beaulieu, touting him as a strong dark horse. I did this because the Sabres went after him hard, acquiring him and immediately putting him on their power play. They desperately wanted him to succeed as a PP QB. A dark horse is all about opportunity. You’re betting purely on opportunity and not on results (because none are there yet). In this case, it flopped. I had him in two of my leagues and dropped him as soon as I could after the failure became clear. Now he’s been cast off to the Jets and while his ice time has gone up, he hasn’t seen PP time and he never will, given the talent on the blue line for Winnipeg. But he did pick up two assists on Sunday. I wonder if he could be a depth producer next year in the way that Tyler Myers has been this year. Beaulieu is 26 years old, so the timing is right. As a former first-round pick, the talent is there. Somewhere. And this is a high-scoring team so he could get 20 points almost by accident. He is an RFA this summer.
In his last eight starts, Connor Hellebuyck has faced 40.3 shots per game. Hello, defense?
*
If you’re fighting for a playoff spot, I’m not sure if you put Cam Ward between the pipes. And now the Blackhawks see their slim hopes turn to microscopic. Ward has allowed at least four goals in each of his last five games.
Since being sent back down, Collin Delia has allowed five goals on 44 shots, in case you were curious.
In the end, the Blackhawks just couldn’t shut down that big line of San Jose’s. You know, that unstoppable line of Melker Karlsson, Barclay Goodrow and Michael Haley? Always put a guy on Haley, come on! They burned the Hawks for two of the five goals.
*
Frozen Tools update: The game logs had been lacking ‘missed games’ indicators in the player profiles. They are in there now. It helps to easily identify when a player was out, or if he was scratched, etc.
DobberProspects update: Each scouting profile not only has our upside and certainty ranking at the top, scouting observations in the middle and the Elite Prospects career stats at the bottom…but now it has Mason Black’s fun pNHLe chart at the bottom. It takes a player’s stats in a given league at a given age and averages it out against history, spitting out his NHL potential upside. (Note: this won’t be ready until late in the morning)
*
See you next Monday.

Fantasy hockey - Leading 250 rankings for the rest of the 2016-seventeen season
More than a several goaltending conditions have introduced on their own as tricky to rank this season. The entrepreneurs of Sergei Bobrovsky, Devan Dubnyk, Braden Holtby or other these kinds of dependable stalwarts really should be thanking their fortunate stars that they never have to offer with any of the a lot of tough circumstances in NHL creases.
Anecdotally, it certainly feels like a exceptional season for goaltender benefit, with less players featuring consistency and reliability — even if it was only for modest fantasy benefit. Let’s get a speedy spin by means of all thirty nets for just a speedy thought or two on the present problem all over the league.
Anaheim Ducks: Affected person John Gibson entrepreneurs have been rewarded right after a slow start off with the 23-calendar year-outdated rounding into kind as a very clear No. 1 fantasy goaltender. Sizzling off the press: Gibson suffered an higher-physique injuries Saturday and left the game, however the injuries is just not major, for every the L.A. Day-to-day News. Nonetheless, Jonathan Bernier, as always, is a passable handcuff in Gibson’s absence.
Arizona Coyotes: Mike Smith is a single of those people rare commodities we stated in the opening: dependable, if unspectacular. He is a solid goaltender enjoying for a sub-par group, but the effects are at the very least predictable. It can be probable he could be a really solid No. two fantasy goaltender if your No. 1 is Holtby, Dubnyk or Bobrovsky, but his fantasy companion on your group demands to be elite.
Boston Bruins: Tuukka Rask is quietly turning in an additional elite season involving the pipes. He has the stamina and experience to press by means of and end as a No. 1 fantasy goalie.
Buffalo Sabres: Robin Lehner could be a No. 1 fantasy goaltender if he could get some separation on Anders Nilsson — and some offensive guidance. With the Sabres’ offense rounding into kind, it is really not a extend to imagine Lehner closing the season within the top 20 goaltenders.
Calgary Flames: Both of those goaltenders gave up a few plans on Saturday evening, offering us a pleasant reminder that this crease continues to be a mess for fantasy entrepreneurs. It can be regrettable, simply because there is enormous possible listed here for Brian Elliott or Chad Johnson to be elite, but neither has been equipped to maintain constant for more time than a month. We are nonetheless stashing Elliott and crossing our fingers, but that really should only be a System C at this position.
Carolina Hurricanes: Cam Ward, like Mike Smith, has available muted but constant fantasy benefit. There is benefit in consistency this season, but Ward is not going to get it done for you by yourself.
Chicago Blackhawks: Corey Crawford has not been as unbeatable as he was prior to an injuries in December, but he has a very clear starter’s mantle and the keep track of file to get back into kind. He is a tier down from the elite, but a No. 1 fantasy goaltender even so.
Colorado Avalanche: A tire hearth burning out of regulate, the Avalanche crease is definitely the last location to look for fantasy assist. Semyon Varlamov is a mess this season and Calvin Pickard can only do so significantly with no defense. Prospect Spencer Martin is the hottest to get tossed in the frying pan. He is a talented child, but this is no location for a 21-calendar year-outdated netminder.
Columbus Blue Jackets: Sergei Bobrovsky is in a race with Devan Dubnyk to be the greatest fantasy goaltender in the NHL this season. Lock him into your roster as a legitimate No. 1.
Looking in advance to the long term? In this article are the greatest drafted players at present exterior the NHL, led by Clayton Keller and Mathew Barzal.
We check out in with scouts and executives on each individual team’s prospective customers, such as those people closest to the NHL and those people who’ve manufactured the most development.
Entry-stage contracts are both equally an opportunity and a challenge for NHL entrance offices. Here is a look at the groups creating the most of their youthful talent and the pitfalls in advance.
two Similar
Dallas Stars: The actuality that Antti Niemi can give up six plans, get pulled for Kari Lehtonen and nonetheless get a acquire is quite indicative of the kind of game the Stars play. Even if this tandem were being lowered to a very clear starter, the group performs much too fast and loose for fantasy benefit in the crease.
Detroit Red Wings: Jimmy Howard was getting a renaissance campaign before finding harm, when Petr Mrazek has not been equipped to get his game heading. Rookie Jared Coreau has shown flashes, but his over-all ratios are nonetheless in line with what Mrazek has done in the course of the season. Whilst Howard was moved to prolonged-term hurt reserve, he is nonetheless predicted back in February. Stash him 1st and then, in a desperate problem, stash Mrazek, much too. He was a single of the NHL’s greatest netminders for the next half last season.
Edmonton Oilers: The wins are there and the ratios are just a shade guiding the elite goaltenders of the NHL … sure, welcome to the No. 1 fantasy goalie realm, Cam Talbot! This was not always predicted of the former Rangers backup, but he finished up in the correct location at the correct time for Oilers rebuild to ultimately get root.
Florida Panthers: Surprisingly, Roberto Luongo‘s physique of do the job this season has been a lot more in line with a No. two fantasy goaltender — probably a solution of the injuries woes for the Panthers, or probably a solution of his advancing age. Either way, he is finding enough rest thanks to backup James Reimer and really should operate out the season as a solid No. two.
Los Angeles Kings: Poor Peter Budaj. He is been definitely brilliant stepping into the crease when Jonathan Rapid was harm in the 1st game of the season. But with a return of Jonathan Rapid predicted in a little a lot more than a month, there continues to be a business sunset scheduled on Budaj’s fantasy relevance. Get pleasure from the journey right until then.
Minnesota Wild: Practically nothing to see listed here other than the class of the NHL this season involving the pipes. Only Holtby and Bobrovsky can challenge Dubnyk as your most secure bet to shut out the season as the greatest fantasy goaltender at this position.
Montreal Canadiens: Carey Price tag is much too fantastic not to do the job by means of his present challenges and really should be back in kind sooner than afterwards. That kind, of course, is elite for fantasy uses. It almost certainly is not going to get you any place, but go in advance and concentrate on a hurting Price tag owner for a trade correct now. You never know, as his quantities have been quite poor for a month now.
Nashville Predators: The over-all consequence has been solid, but it has not been pleasurable getting a Pekka Rinne owner this season. Up a single month and down the subsequent, Rinne entrepreneurs could want to batten down the hatches as February ways. That explained, he really should be high-quality. We proceed to advocate for handcuffing Jusse Saros as a precaution.
New Jersey Devils: Cory Schneider entrepreneurs suffered by means of some poor moments before this season, but he is rounded into kind in 2017. Logic and keep track of file suggest he’ll be a No. 1 fantasy goaltender for the duration of the season.
New York Islanders: Parting techniques with Jaroslav Halak and mentor Jack Capuano has left Thomas Greiss in a really fantastic location for the rest of the campaign. One particular a two-game shutout streak and enjoying like a No. 1 fantasy netminder, Greiss could appear shut to that benefit if the group continues to convert all over its fortunes in 2017. He is obtainable in half of ESPN leagues, and is a excellent pickup for the extend operate.
New York Rangers: Henrik Lundqvist is in the midst of the worst statistical season of his job, only manufactured a lot more about by the exceptional ratios supplied by Antti Raanta in aid. Raanta is on the mend correct now, which buys Lundqvist some time, but you greater think the Rangers will start off whomever gives them the greatest shot at a acquire down the extend. Lundqvist entrepreneurs really should be handcuffing Raanta anywhere they can obtain him.
Ottawa Senators: This has been a weird problem, with starter Craig Anderson off for the bulk of the season to be with his ailing wife. Mike Condon has done a excellent task of holding down the fort, but like Budaj with the Kings, there nonetheless seems to be a very clear sunset on his benefit. Anderson is predicted back before the end of the month and to stay with the group for the rest of the season at that position. The intelligent move is to scoop up Anderson now, who really should give No. two fantasy goaltender quantities at a bare minimum.
Philadelphia Flyers: Exterior of a extend of good results before this season by Steve Mason, the Flyers’ crease has not been a location of fantasy goodness. Desperate entrepreneurs could want to stash prospect Anthony Stolarz, who could wind up starting up a bunch of games late this season right after the group ultimately pulls the chute on both Mason or Michal Neuvirth, as both equally sport a sub-.900 preserve proportion this season.
Pittsburgh Penguins: Marc-Andrey Fleury has been brilliant when Matt Murray is not all over, and dreadful when he is. Murray has regained the starting up part and it appears to be like increasingly like he’ll only cede it by means of injuries. Fleury is nonetheless well worth stashing in leagues in advance of the trade deadline he could wind up elsewhere, with a even larger part, and also simply because Murray has a troubling injuries record in his quick NHL job.
San Jose Sharks: A marvelous plans-from regular (two.24) to go with a significantly less impressive preserve proportion (.917), but a ton of wins (24) that is Martin Jones in a nutshell. The end consequence is a single of our several steady No. 1 fantasy goaltenders. He is only a action or two down from the elite.
St. Louis Blues: Remaining guiding by his group on a road vacation in order to hit the reset button, Jake Allen demands to do just that. Neither Carter Hutton nor Pheonix Copley are the answer listed here, so the group demands Allen to get his head straight. He went eleven-3-3 with a two.39 plans-from regular for the duration of the 1st two months of the season, so there’s nonetheless a No. 1 fantasy goaltender in listed here someplace. Do not abandon ship yet.
Tampa Bay Lightning: Andrei Vasilevskiy is the anti-Marc-Andre Fleury. When Ben Bishop has been healthy, Vasilevskiy has looked like he really should be the starter. When Bishop was harm and Vasilevskiy became the starter, he is looked like he really should be in the AHL. Exterior of a hole in his quick aspect from the Coyotes on Saturday, Bishop has looked solid considering the fact that returning from the hurt reserve, and is the a single to individual heading ahead, but Vasilevskiy helps make a intelligent handcuff.
Toronto Maple Leafs: Frederik Andersen is a lot more probably to let a few plans than two most nights, but his group has been finding him wins. The sum has been a minimal-end No. two fantasy goaltender, just barely in competition for a starting up part in most leagues. There are no signs that problem will modify in the subsequent two and half months.
Vancouver Canucks: After on the lookout like neither goaltender would have any benefit early this season, the Canucks discovered a way to play group defense. The consequence has been a impressive turnaround and resurgence in benefit for Ryan Miller. Since Dec. 13, Miller is 8-1-3 with a two.31 plans-from regular, which is bordering on No. 1 fantasy goaltender territory. He is obtainable in fifty % of ESPN leagues, and is a smart pickup to shut out the season.
Washington Capitals: Braden Holtby is as Braden Holtby does. Whilst an additional file-location season for wins is heading to be rough, it is really not out of the realm of likelihood. If Holtby is just not the top fantasy netminder at the end of the season, it is really only simply because Dunbyk a bit edged him out.
Winnipeg Jets: Last in the alphabet, and probably most messed up from a fantasy perspective. After Ondrej Pavelec was banished to the AHL to start off the campaign, he is back and profitable games for the Jets. Connor Hellebuyck is just not fairly prepared for the frequent starting up gig, and Michael Hutchinson is significantly greater suited as a backup, so Pavelec could just be the answer listed here for the Jets. As prolonged as they can rating four plans for every game, they really should be high-quality. As for fantasy usage, Pavelec, as he has in the previous, will be a location starter at greatest.
Forwards mounting and slipping
John Tavares, C, New York Islanders (up six spots to No. 27): How the elite players can modify their season on a dime. On Jan. eleven, Tavares was on tempo for 23 plans and fifty nine details this season, which would have been an enormous disappointment from the consensus superstar centre. Exactly 12 days afterwards, Tavares is now on tempo for 35 plans and sixty seven details thanks to an eight-plans-in-5-games outburst. He could not climb back to top-20 standing devoid of greater wingers, but Tavares already appears to be like like he is prepared to have the Isles on his shoulders again.
Aleksander Barkov, C, Florida Panthers (down eleven spots to No. 99): Whilst we consider mentor Tom Rowe’s “down for the season” opinions were being taken a bit out of context, it is really nonetheless scary to hear a mentor muse on the possible for no a lot more Barkov — nor Johnathan Huberdeau — for the remainder of the campaign. Until eventually we get a thing concrete, there’s no reason to jump ship totally. That explained, the ominous experiences really should have fantasy entrepreneurs discovering solutions.
Jordan Eberle, RW, Edmonton Oilers (up sixteen spots to No. 132): This is just not all from Eberle’s four-position Saturday evening. In actuality, his Saturday evening was a solution of what Eberle has been doing currently. Eberle’s been flashing his breakaway pace again of late, whether scoring on the odds or not. Despite the fact that, for the file, he has been scoring on the odds with six details in his previous four games. Irrespective of whether this signals a significant modify to his season-prolonged pattern of fringe benefit continues to be to be found, but when Eberle is on his game, he is about as harmful as wingers appear. We consider it is really well worth using a nearer look at him for the duration of the coming days.
Evander Kane, LW, Buffalo Sabres (up 34 spots to No. 147): On the entire, Kane has of course been greater currently, but nonetheless won’t look like a fantasy stalwart on the area. Just for pleasurable, toss out his 1st 5 games of the season and look at what he is done considering the fact that finding his 1st position of the campaign on Nov. seventeen. In that time, Kane has all 12 of his plans and 19 details in thirty games. In an eighty two-game season, that is a tempo for 33 plans and fifty two details. Toss in his 103 shots and forty five penalty minutes in that span, and all of a sudden you’ve acquired on your own a tidy little fantasy participant. Kane’s obtainable in sixty % of ESPN leagues.
Defensemen mounting and slipping
P.K. Subban, D, Nashville Predators (up two spots to No. 65): Again in action on Saturday, Subban won’t quickly rocket back to his lofty standing in the rankings. We require to see a lot more shots, a lot more minutes and a lot more scoring out of Subban before he can get back into the No. 1 fantasy defensemen tier again. We anticipate him to get there, but it could get a several games right after the All-Star break and finding Roman Josi back into the lineup.
Rapid hits
Whilst Tyler Bozak certainly justifies to be picked up on his present scorching streak, he is scored on 36 % of his shots for the duration of the previous 7 games. He’ll cool off shortly, so it could already be much too late to appreciate him.
Conor Sheary‘s precise position tempo this season, with zero changes, is 61 details in 75 games. Why in the earth is he only owned in forty six % of leagues? We get it, he is a star by affiliation with Sidney Crosby. But that is not modifying.
Jason Zucker is now a in addition-27 on the season. Even if you have some players on your roster who are probably to get a lot more details than him this season, never low cost the benefit he’ll convey to that class for you.
Andrew Ladd has further time to return from an undisclosed injuries for the duration of the All-Star break. When he is back, it will be his 1st games underneath new mentor Doug Weight. There could be a mandate for Weight to consider Ladd on the top line again. With the way Tavares is enjoying currently, the effects could be distinct.
We explained before the season started out that Ivan Provorov may end up getting ranked in advance of Shayne Gostisbehere by the end of the season. Whilst we are not prepared to replicate that in the rankings right until both participant is scoring at a greater tempo, Provorov is now foremost Gostisbehere 21 details to just 19.
Patrik Laine is using get hold of at follow, and hopes to get a game in with the Jets before the All-Star break.
Leading 250 rankings
In this article are the up-to-date rest-of-season top-250 rankings of forwards, defensemen and goalies, such as situation ranks.
Take note: Sean Allen’s top 250 players are ranked for their predicted effectiveness in ESPN common leagues from this position on. ESPN common stats consist of plans, assists, energy-play details, shots on intention, in addition/minus, penalty minutes and regular time on ice for skaters, and wins, plans-from regular and preserve proportion for goalies.

Ramblings: Dobber’s thoughts on Drouin, Chytil, Zacha, Seabrook, Howard, Hinostroza, Comtois, Kovalchuk and so many more…(Nov 22)
Ramblings: Dobber’s thoughts on Drouin, Chytil, Zacha, Seabrook, Howard, Hinostroza, Comtois, Kovalchuk and so many more… (Nov 22)

To all my American friends out there – Happy Thanksgiving. I enjoyed my favorite meal of the year a month ago, as I’m Canadian. But now I’m jealous that you get to enjoy it now. Although you’re stuck watching football on your Thanksgiving (we’re blessed with hockey games on Canadian Thanksgiving!). Have a safe holiday and leave the belt at home.
*
So it turns out that all Pavel Zacha needed was to show that he dominates at the AHL level in order to properly get a chance at the NHL level. Prior to this latest stint, his only time in the AHL was a three-game run back in 2015 (three points). This time he was down for four games and got five points. Upon this latest recall he saw 16 minutes four out of five games. In his first 10 games before being sent down he saw 16 minutes just three times. A big part of that, too, is the fact that he is now playing with Jesper Bratt as opposed to Tommy Stonehands or Jimmy Lunchpail. Zacha has four points in his last three games and those are his only four points of the entire season. He’s earned PP time as well – Wednesday he saw 18 minutes of ice time and one minute on the second PP unit and scored on it.
Looking at Zacha’s career numbers, as a rookie he had 13 PPPts with just 1:50 per game. Between that and the AHL it tells me that he thrives when given room, but has trouble creating that room himself. I suppose Bratt’s speed opens things up a little for him.
Taylor Hall has a two-point game (Wednesday), a four-point game and five zero-point games in his last seven. Frustrating for fantasy owners.
Damon Severson has six points in six games, five at even strength. Will Butcher is pointless in eight games despite manning the top PP unit. Butcher has just one point at even strength this season. Playing with Ben Lovejoy is tying his hands, in my opinion. Meanwhile, Severson thrives thanks to his partner Andy Greene holding the fort. I also think at 24 and in his fifth NHL season, Severson is coming into his own. I’m not saying he’ll get his 57-point pace. But he’ll absolutely get his career high (currently 31 points).
*
Jonathan Drouin has 19 points in his last 19 games, seven of them on the power play. He’s been at his best with Max Domi and Andrew Shaw. He and Domi are helping each other rebound.
Domi has 26 points! Last season Domi picked up his 26th point on February 15 (funny enough – against Montreal).
Carey Price allowed four (or more) goals for the 16th time in his last 38 starts.
*
Alexandar Georgiev got shellacked in his first game in early October. Since then, thanks to Wednesday’s shutout, he is 4-1-0, 2.02 GAA and 0.936 SV%.
Filip Chytil now has a goal in five consecutive games. He’s seeing regular PP time and Wednesday his ice time topped 20 minutes. He’s now playing with Chris Kreider and Kevin Hayes and the line has been very effective. It also allows Mika Zibanejad to play with Vladislav Namestnikov, which boosts Namestnikov’s potential.
Kreider now leads the Rangers with 12 goals and 20 points already, having his big breakout in his seventh NHL season. Power forwards take an extra couple of years and I feel like he would have this last year had he not been injured. All 20 of his points have come in the last 20 contests.
Ryan Strome picked up his first point as a Ranger and saw over 17 minutes of ice time. He’s been playing with Brett Howden and Jimmy Vesey, and getting no PP time. This makes him a solid third liner and 35 to possibly 40 points.
*
You don’t need me to tell you that Sidney Crosby returned to the lineup and picked up three points. But I feel like it’s pretty big fantasy hockey news so there – I said it.
A few things to come out of that Pittsburgh – Dallas game though:
With Matt Murray giving up 16 goals in his last four appearances, seeing Casey DeSmith get a win and continue to add to his stellar numbers has to concern Murray owners. But to me, DeSmith’s value is a house of cards. The team is just playing better in front of him right now. It’s “buy low” time on Mr. Murray.
Tanner Pearson is still playing with Evgeni Malkin and Phil Kessel at even strength, and he’s a part of what is now a pretty decent second PP unit alongside Jake Guentzel and Derick Brassard. He has three points in his last two games.
Landon Bow is a 6-5 goaltender who was never drafted despite a solid WHL career. He had been invited to camp by the Ducks (2015) and the Stars a couple of times before finally getting signed to an NHL contract a year ago. His AHL numbers leave something to be desired and he’s a career NHL backup. But he finds himself in the NHL this week thanks to the Ben Bishop injury. After Anton Khudobin got pulled, Bow came in and stopped all 14 shots he faced. He is definitely not the answer for you if you need short-term help though. His purpose is to warm the bench while Colton Point gets some badly needed games in for Texas.
*
Tom Wilson is up to six points in five games now. His Hit totals are down, from the usual 250 per year to a pace that would put him at about 170. He already has two PPPts and with TJ Oshie and Evgeny Kuznetsov sidelined, he will continue to see the ice time there.
*
Brent Seabrook had nine shots on goal for Chicago. Under the new coach he’s being given tons of power-play time and he has really been letting loose with that shot. It hasn’t developed into a lot of points, but the situation bears watching and if your league counts the SOG stat he is worth owning right now for that reason.
*
Geez, Carolina fired 29 shots on goal in the first period alone against the Leafs.
Carolina line combinations with Victor Rask (zero points, two SOG) back in the lineup:
#1
24.8%
MCGINN,BROCK – STAAL,JORDAN – WILLIAMS,JUSTIN
#2
22.2%
MARTINOOK,JORDAN – SVECHNIKOV,ANDREI – WALLMARK,LUCAS
#3
20.9%
AHO,SEBASTIAN – FERLAND,MICHEAL – TERAVAINEN,TEUVO
#4
15.9%
DI GIUSEPPE,PHILLIP – FOEGELE,WARREN – RASK,VICTOR
  *
Jeff Skinner has 13 goals in his last 15 games and the Buffalo Sabres have won seven in a row.
Shayne Gostisbehere is minus-6 over his last three games and his now third-lowest in the league at minus-11 (Mathew Barzal minus-12, Tomas Nosek minus-13).
*
I don’t know how, but Detroit has won nine of its last 11 games. What?
What that means is that Jimmy Howard is a great goalie own right now. Way better than Murray, Mike Smith or Cam Talbot. Howard has won six of his last seven starts and he’s allowed two goals or fewer in five straight.
Andreas Athanasiou scored twice Wednesday and he now has 13 points in his last 12 games. He’s also fired 19 SOG over the last four games.
David Pastrnak doesn’t have a point in either of the games without Patrice Bergeron around. Pastrnak’s great, but I’m a little concerned about this. He’ll still get his points, but I’m doubting it will continue at the superstar level without that line (with Brad Marchand) being complete.
*
Mike Hoffman is up to 17 straight games with at least one point. He did it with less than four minutes in the game. Oye. I’ve never owned him, but I remember in the summer saying I wouldn’t touch him with a ten-foot pole. Hopefully you didn’t listen to me.
But Louis Domingue and Steven Stamkos were the stories. Domingue stopped 40 of 43 shots and he’s actually faced 153 shots in his last four starts and yet he’s won three of them.
Stamkos had four points, which snapped a bit of a mini-funk for him. JT Miller (three points) was also in a slump, with just a point in five games heading in. Miller played with Stamkos and Yanni Gourde, while Nikita Kucherov was moved to a line with Brayden Point and Tyler Johnson.
*
Under the new coach, the Blues saw some line shuffling. Robert Thomas and Robby Fabbri played with Brayden Schenn. Thomas also saw the most ice time of the season, up over 19 minutes, and he scored the Blues’ only goal – the first of his career, set up by Schenn. This is his big chance to make a rookie impact and so far so good.
*
This really bothers me. Looking at the Top 10 scorers on the Ottawa Senators, Chris Tierney sits fourth with 18 points…yet he’s 10th in PP ice time per game among that group. And despite seeing the fewest minutes there, he’s still sixth in PPPts. So he’s getting it done, yet last night the likes of Bobby Ryan gets four minutes on the PP and Mikkel Boedker gets 3:27. Tierney just 1:50.
*
With three assists Wednesday, Mikael Granlund now has 22 points in his last 19 games.
*
After a couple of partial seasons, Cam Atkinson had 39 points in his first full NHL year, followed by 40 and then 53. After that he broke out to 62, but then was hurt the following year and produced similar numbers though in just 65 games. Now in Year 6 as a full-timer (Year 8 overall), he is on a point-per-game pace. Watching Vinnie Hinostroza a couple of times this season (and of course last year), and listening to what the local commentators say about him, as well as coaches, scouts and GMs over the years (I lock onto this stuff, put it in the vault, about all players – I devour this stuff and never seem to forget it which is why I don’t easily adjust my opinion in future years), I can’t help but feel that his career production will follow a similar path to Atkinson’s. A 40- or 45-point guy for a couple of years, mid-50’s in 2020-21, low- to mid-60s in 2021-22 and then upward from there if given the right linemates (which Atkinson has). If you’re patient with this player, I believe it will pay off.
*
Josh Mahura got some time on the PP for Anaheim and picked up his first point – an assist on the power play.
Max Comtois’ game with San Diego Wednesday marked the last one he is allowed to play there in his conditioning stint. The Ducks now have to decide if he plays in the NHL or goes back to junior hockey. No other option. Considering he has played 10 NHL games and activated his entry-level contract, my guess is that he is back in the NHL.
*
I’m panicking about Ilya Kovalchuk, but it’s too late. Nobody in my league wants him. Can’t even give him away. His ice time is down under the new coach, and that coach was quoted as saying he didn’t trust him in tight games in the third period, and called him a “power-play specialist”. So we have another Sam Gagner on our hands, folks.
Adrian Kempe left the game in the third period with an LBI and did not return.
*
The one game I didn’t comment on, of the 14 Wednesday, was the game that I was watching as I wrote these entire Ramblings – Winnipeg and Calgary. But I have nothing to say – nothing jumped out at me worth noting in fantasy hockey.
*
See you next Monday.

Ramblings: Impact of a new family on production. Also, the kids are arriving – Tolvanen, Andersson (Mar 26)
Ramblings: Impact of a new family on production. Also, the kids are arriving – Tolvanen, Andersson (Mar 26)
***
I was reading a Wyshynski article last week where he interviewed Ryan Getzlaf (link here). Regarding Corey Perry: “He has a family now. Last season was his first year with a kid. And that adds a different element to the game. It can change your preparation away from the rink and all those kinds of things. I think it all contributes into it.”
Getzlaf on his weak season 2011-12: “my first year as a dad was one of my worst years in the NHL. [Getzlaf had just 11 goals and 57 points in 82 games, and the Ducks missed the playoffs.]” And then: “there's really not a whole lot that can prepare you for parenthood. You have to just live it. Especially in our world, with how much it changes your daily life and how much more important things feel for you away from the rink.”
As I said on Twitter a few days ago, I would bet good money that a player sees his production drop significantly when he has a second or third child when one of the other children are toddlers. Significantly. No data available on this, of course. But my thinking is that if a player has a couple of tough years and then suddenly has a good one, I would check on his family – did he have a kid during that first tough year? If so, I’d be more inclined to believe that the good year is the norm and not an anomaly. The toughest year of my career (other than the last one obviously – ha) was when my oldest daughter was two and my youngest was born. Very hard – “terrible twos” is a label for a reason! Imagine being an athlete used to a workout regimen in the summer – I don’t know, three hours per day? Now suddenly it’s a couple of 30-minute sessions and a broken-up 10-minute attempt as you try to juggle.
Anyway, I found it interesting, it got me thinking and I wanted to share this new perspective. After I Tweeted these thoughts, I was quickly reminded by some followers that Cam Talbot had twins this year. So…hmmm…
*
Jordan Weal had a three-point game Sunday, which drives me nuts. I’m always panning for hidden gold, and Weal has come up on several occasions. A prospect who was a bit of a long shot, Weal dominated junior hockey. But most players who do that still fail to become fantasy relevant. However, he took to the AHL quickly with 139 points in 149 games in his second and third years there. Then he had a strong training camp with some clutch goals back in the preseason of 2015. Plus, he had to clear waivers that year to be sent down, so I drafted him as a late sleeper. But Weal became one of those guys who still needed another AHL season yet couldn’t be sent down there because he would get claimed – so the Kings played him sparingly and later when he went to the Flyers in the Lecavalier trade he was used sparingly there too. A complete lost season. And that almost always kills a player’s upside. So I dropped him…
Then last year, after clearing waivers and again dominating the AHL, he was called up and played his way onto the top line, tallying eight points in the final 10 games and 11 in his last 16. And that was going into a UFA summer for him. He earned a two-year contract and again I slapped on the “sleeper” status to his name. But he’s been brutal this year, even with decent linemates (often Wayne Simmonds and Nolan Patrick). Last season’s tease was good enough to get him re-drafted in my league and I re-acquired him in January as a throw-in, playing a hunch (which until Sunday had completely failed). I’m in a deep keeper league and with five draft picks I’ll need to choose between dropping Weal, Lars Eller or Jordan Staal. Or I acquire two more picks and drop all three? It was an easy decision to drop Weal until he gets these three-point games and you realize he is entering his prime and his fourth NHL season. Not a life-changing decision, but one of those meaningless ones that could surprise. And of course it will kick you in the teeth if you make the wrong one. Fantasy hockey is fun!

You laugh at the name Lars Eller, above, but he’s going to end up with 42 points which is by far a career high. And at the age of 28 he’s in his prime and could likely be semi-counted on for 45 next year. That number out of a playoff player has some small depth value in a league like mine.
*
It took Sean Couturier 16 games of sitting at 29 goals before scoring his 30th, but now that the monkey is off his back he scored number 31 just two games later.
Nolan Patrick has 12 points in his last 19 games. The 19-year-old is finally finding his footing.
Alex Lyon gave up two quick goals early in the second and got pulled. The 25-year-old has virtually no chance of making his mark in the NHL as a part of this organization because they have three proven NHL goaltenders plus Carter Hart on the way. So he needs to make his mark while he can – the two Band-Aid Boys have made it possible to get this audition. He’s been okay in seven games, but not strong enough to make a lasting impression.
*
Derick Brassard has points in each of his last six contests.
Since the Penguins acquired Brassard, Jake Guentzel has 10 points in 13 games. That being said, he had six points in the three games leading up to the trade (so 16 in 16 in all) and his season was turning around anyway. But this move certainly freed up Guentzel, as has been alluded to here on several occasions.
Sidney Crosby is seven points away from reaching 90 for the first time in four years and he has six games to do it – so it’s in the bag. Funny how it’s still not enough to get him into the top seven or eight scorers. That’s how this year has been  – Vegas has added to the player pool of strong scorers and overall scoring is up seven or eight percent.

Lias Andersson and Filip Chytil have been called up by the New York Rangers. This is especially interesting in fantasy circles because the Rangers play four times this week. This is also the time of year where non-playoff teams start piling on ice time for their prospects to give them a taste during meaningless games. In my one league I had picked up Chris Tierney Sunday afternoon and dropped Adrian Kempe. An hour later I had to drop Tierney to make room for Andersson who could no longer sit in my minors. Wasted transaction. Anyway, Andersson has 14 points in 24 AHL games for Hartford while Chytil has 31 in 45. Read up on Andersson here and Chytil here.

That being said, those two are small potatoes compared to this guy. Eeli Tolvanen’s Jokerit team was eliminated from the KHL playoffs on the weekend and he can now sign with Nashville. He supposedly has one in place already, now we just need official word on the signing. Tolvanen can play as many as nine games this year – including playoff games – without burning the first year of that contract. My guess is that he will get into the lineup for several regular season games so the team can gauge whether or not he’s ready for playoff action and can make enough of a difference to burn that first year and give him a regular playoff roster spot. My second guess is that while he will be good enough to do that – I’m not so sure that they will. Traditionally, Nashville is cautious with their prospects. But I think he’ll make his mark in the regular season and make them think long and hard about it. His 19 goals and 36 points as a KHL rookie were the highest by any player under the age of 19 in that league’s history. He also had six goals in 11 KHL playoff games. Read our scouting report on Tolvanen here. He is the No.1 prospect on my Top 200 Fantasy Prospect Forwards list.
*
Continuing on with that theme, the Chicago Blackhawks signed their top prospect Dylan Sikura to a two-year ELC. Sikura just finished his senior year with Northeastern and tallied 54 points in 35 contests. He’s ranked 40th on my Prospects List. Read more on Sikura here.
Warren Foegele had a great training camp and has been an excellent AHL rookie so far for Charlotte (42 points in 65 games, with 26 goals). Carolina has called him up and he’ll likely make his NHL debut Monday. He’s ranked 86 on my prospects list and you can read our scouting report on him here.
Washington isn’t a team out of the playoffs, so when they signed prospect Shane Gersich on the weekend it wasn’t to play him and “see what they have”. He may get into the lineup once a playoff spot is clinched, but training camp is the time to keep an eye on him. His upside is capped. He had 37 points in 40 games a year ago, but that’s because his teammates were Tyson Jost, Brock Boeser and Tucker Poolman. With those three gone, Gersich slipped to 27 points. He’s earmarked for a future checking-line role. Read more on Gersich here.
CJ Suess was signed by the Jets. Although he had 43 points in 40 games for Minnesota State, he’s a bit of a long shot. Not only are the Jets deep with young forwards, but Suess himself is 24. He was drafted in 2014 as a 20-year-old. So he has a short window to make an impact, with little opportunity to do so. He was Minnesota State’s team captain the last two years.

With two more points Sunday, Viktor Arvidsson has 21 points in his last 18 games.
Here were Nashville’s line combos Sunday night:
#1
21.2%
ARVIDSSON,VIKTOR – FORSBERG,FILIP – JOHANSEN,RYAN
#2
18.8%
FISHER,MIKE – HARTNELL,SCOTT – SALOMAKI,MIIKKA
#3
16.4%
FIALA,KEVIN – SMITH,CRAIG – TURRIS,KYLE
#4
16.4%
BONINO,NICK – HARTMAN,RYAN – SISSONS,COLTON
With Calle Jarnkrok and Austin Watson out with injuries, I’m looking at the above depth chart and wondering where Tolvanen slots in. A checking line would be useless, so perhaps he gets in there for Craig Smith on the second line, bumping Smith to the Fisher line and taking Salomaki or Hartnell out of the lineup.
*
Patrice Bergeron returned to the Boston lineup for the first time since before the trade deadline. So it was interesting to see the line combinations with Ryan Donato and Brian Gionta around.
#1
28.2%
BERGERON,PATRICE – MARCHAND,BRAD – PASTRNAK,DAVID
#2
22.1%
HEINEN,DANTON – NASH,RILEY – WINGELS,TOMMY
#3
21.5%
DONATO,RYAN – GIONTA,BRIAN – KREJCI,DAVID
#4
14.9%
ACCIARI,NOEL – KURALY,SEAN – SCHALLER,TIM
But then…what does this tell us? Since David Backes, Rick Nash and Jake DeBrusk are out, we still can’t get a feel for what the playoff line combos will be.
What was most interesting is the fact that Ryan Donato was part of a four-man PP unit to go with that top line and Torey Krug.
With two more points Sunday, Brad Marchand has 80 in 60 games. His 1.33 points-per-game average is second in the NHL behind Nathan MacKinnon (1.37) and ahead of Connor McDavid, Nikita Kucherov and Evgeni Malkin. Remarkable. Earlier, I had stroked him off my Hart Trophy voting list of five players. Time to tap the UNDO button on that one.
*
Tyler Myers has just one point in his last 15 games. He ‘had’ been on track for a career high in points. He’s still getting solid secondary PP minutes, but he’s not producing there. Nearly half his total points came via the power play, so if he’s not getting it done with the man advantage then he’s not going to give you much production otherwise.
*
Embarrassing. Dallas has free-fallen out of a playoff spot by losing eight games in a row in mid- to late March. And that includes a loss to the Canucks Sunday. Not officially out yet, but…pretty much yeah. Two teams have 89 points right now and only one of them will get in – and Dallas has 84 with six games remaining. Anaheim tying the Oilers late Sunday night and winning in OT put another nail in that coffin, too.
*
Is Ty Rattie playing his way into an NHL job for next year? Often I would say no to this and I would say it quickly and easily. After all, he’s 25 now and has had his chance. Just another failed highly-touted prospect who is making a mark on a non-playoff team when games don’t mean anything. Usually, you’ll see that team re-sign him but also sign (or trade for) other players to fill the ranks on the wing, thereby forcing him to the press box or the minors. Or to a depth line and dismal production. In other words, my Jordan Weal example, above. But I suspect that this team could fire their GM in the summer. In which case, the philosophy changes. The focus should be on defensemen and if deals and signings are geared towards that, then maybe they count on Rattie lining up with McDavid. Why not? The Penguins did that with Conor Sheary and Sidney Crosby and it worked just fine. Draftable? If your league is deep enough, I think he’s worth a flier in the final round when hunches are played. Unless something massive happens to change things among Edmonton forwards in the summer.
Ethan Bear had his first NHL goal here:
{youtube}rIES-slawI0{/youtube}
He also added an assist and has four points in 14 games. While I don’t see more than a 25-point year as a rookie next season, I do really like his long-term value with this team. The Oilers are dying for a puck-moving defenseman and he’s a very promising one. I assume they make a play for a game-breaker like John Carlson, though, if they can afford him. If only they didn’t have that Kris Russell contract…

I’ve been asked when the Interactive Playoff Draft List will be available. This list, which was the first thing I ever started selling on this site way back in 2005, should be available by Thursday April 5. I have the structure in place and the players, I’m just going through it and tweaking expectations and filling in notes. I will update this list on April 7 and April 9, so you can re-download it. Not only does the Excel sheet have my own playoff list, but it also allows you to run your own scenarios and create as many different lists as you like – the player projections will auto-fill based on your playoff tree. I generally run two playoff scenarios and then bring both lists into my draft. Then, based on who is taken (and which teams have the most players available) when I make my second-round pick, I throw away one of the lists and just go with one. This way I’m not tied down to a certain scenario and just go with the best situation (of the two I ran) based on how the draft is going. You can pre-order the IPDL here. Only six of you bought the Ultimate Fantasy Pack because I had to pull it from the shop due to my cancer situation. A common question I’m asked is “is this included in the package I bought last summer?” Chances are you bought the Keeper League Pack, so no – it is not included in that. Unless you were one of those six who got in early before I could pull it, you bought the Keeper Pack. At the time, I didn’t know if I would be around or if I would have the ability to put together this Draft List so I couldn’t in good faith sell a package that included it.
That being said, I feel great, things are going great, and you can expect the Ultimate Fantasy Pack to return for 2018 and come out on sale in May!
*
Announcement: I will be making this Draft List available FREE during all 2018 Montreal Canadiens playoff games.
(Sorry, saw that joke in social media, thought it was a marketing masterpiece! Had to share)
*
Another thing I’ve been asked – will I have the free playoff box pools available again this year. The answer is: yes. Look for that in a week or so. You can follow the box pool Facebook Page for the announcement when that is out.
