I had a double scopy yesterday, and I had an all-female team. Female doctor, female nurses in the room, female nurses on the ward. The amount of relief I felt seeing my team be female-only was immense.

They were so kind too. They had read my file and felt sympathetic, hopeful. When I was struggling they touched me for comfort and held my hand, told me I was doing well, etc. It made the entire experience so much better.
