Scooby bites
Shaggy has lice
Velma is the best hunter
Daphne & Fred are going through a rough patch
(Fred and his plans are "always what go wrong")
Finale fic idea: Genre jumping
The Scooby gang should’ve showed up in 15x20.
Due to Sam and Dean, they continued to slip back into existential crisis after existential crisis ...until they broke out of their own world.
So now they’ve come to help Sam, Dean, Cas, and Jack break out of their own narrative…again.
Because they can’t see that they’re still in it.
Best finale ever.

Overthinking Barns
Overthinking Barns by ImYourHoneyBee (@imyourhoneybeespn) Rating: Mature Word Count: 6.5k
The djinn kidnap Dean to use as bait to lure Cas back to their Queen. Big mistake. --- “Come and get it,” Dean snarls, jabbing the pitchfork forward at gut level. All he has to do is hurt them badly enough that he can get away. It galls him to run from a fight, but self-preservation is a hell of a motivator. He needs to get back to the bunker. He has to warn Cas, has to protect him from his wife. “We’re going to have to put you to sleep,” the djinn tells him, almost disappointed. “Been there, done that,” Dean grunts, jabbing at the second djinn when he tries to lunge forward, using his companion’s words as a distraction. “Didn’t even get a t-shirt, so you can go fuck yourself.” “She will allow you to visit the angel.” This time it’s the male trying to reason with him, hands held out almost placatingly, “We are not heartless.” “Oh,” Dean says sarcastically. “Sure, yeah, that makes using my - using Cas as some kind of stud ok then.” Both djinn have the audacity to nod at him. “No, you freaky-looking dicks, that’s not happening.”
I will forever love this fandom because it will always deliver a story to fill in the blank on an incredible possible storyline that canon deprived us of. This fic is a perfect example. If you’re unfamiliar with THE Episode, “Scoobynatural”, in a throwaway line, we learn that in order to obtain an ingredient in a spell they need, Cas goes to Syria, and somehow marries the Queen of the Djinn’s with little other explanation, leaving us to fill in the blanks of how it came about and the fallout when his boy bestie finds out.
In Overthinking Barns, two Djinn minions snatch Dean up, hell-bent on using him as bait to lure Cas back to his wife, knowing he would never come on his own without the proper motivation. Needless to say, Dean doesn’t exactly appreciate this idea. And neither does Cas when he pieces together what’s going on.
This fic is short and sweet, seeming longer as the POV switches back and forth between Dean as he’s being taken, and Cas as he’s figuring it out. This fic also provides another huge oversight on canon’s part, which is having Cas drive the Impala at least once. It also provides us with a healthy serving of bamf!Cas, which we all need every once in a while. Seal it with a Destiel first kiss and you’ve got the makings of a great fic. Don’t miss it!

happy wincest wednesday!!
my question for this week: what would a typical "date night" look like for the brothers?
Oooh! Actually! I've kind of written this in my upcoming fic, so as a sneak preview:
Post Scoobynatural, the brothers have gotten a projector screen for the Dean Cave to replace the tv, and they watch movies together. What's featured depends on whose turn it is to pick, since Dean loves his Westerns so much and Sam sometimes just wants to watch Anything Else for a break, but they enjoy bantering and cuddling no matter what they watch.
Sam does love to tease Dean about mouthing the lines to his favorites, though. And Dean teases Sam for liking the cheesy Sci-Fi Horror movies, but he loves those, too. It usually ends with some kisses and heavy petting, sex comes after they break for dinner (candle-lit table in the kitchen, beef burger for Dean, tofu burger for Sam).

what episode are you excited to write the first time part for
Oooh, there's a few:
Sacrifice (8x23): THEY GET MARRIED! Need I say more?
Dog Dean Afternoon (9x05): I just need an excuse for Dean to hump Sam's leg.
The Purge (9x13): Dean in a hair net and yoga!Sam delight me.
Soul Survivor (10x03): Okay, so I already wrote almost 40k of demon!Dean being a creep, but the world could always use more!
About a Boy (10x12): Sam being embarrassed that he used to have a crush on this dork (and still does).
Just My Imagination (11x08): More exploration of Sam's childhood crush.
Red Meat (11x17): Do I really need to explain?
The Chitters (11x19): I strongly suspect this one will turn out Very Soft.
Regarding Dean (12x11): amnesia!Dean hitting on Sam. Practically writes itself.
Stuck in the Middle (With You) (12x12): I'm thinking of trying to parody a different Tarantino film for the fic, which might be fun.
Scoobynatural (13x16): Scoob! And I can't wait to make @jinkieswouldyoulookatthis happy. :3
Exodus (13x22): For some Sam suffering after being alone with Lucifer for an extended period of time.
Mint Condition (14x04): Specifically for the end scene.
Lebanon (14x13): Something about them coming together for the first time after seeing their parents torn apart again is both heartbreaking and very weird.
Atomic Monsters (15x04): Sam's visions reveal a little more than what was shown on TV... ;)
Carry On (15x20): I basically already have it worked out.
Post-Series: This one too.
Okay, so that's more than a few... But making it through the average episodes are worth it when I hit the ones I'm looking forward to! I will admit that in the past my excitement has backfired on me, though, when I've hit a big episode and then gotten choice paralysis because there's so much to work with. But fingers crossed these all work out when I get there.

Fic-tober Masterlist
Summary: You and Dalton watch Scooby-Doo and find yourselves in the episode, offering to help solve the mystery.
Warnings: spoilers for Scooby-Doo, Where are You? episode "Spooky Space Kook" (1x15), fluff, slight jealousy, brief mentions of the events of The Red Door (2023). 2.6k+ words
A/N: This is inspired by my love of Scooby-Doo, and the Supernatural crossover episode "Scoobynatural" (13x16)! I hope you enjoy and please let me know what you think! Happy Halloweekend! :)
Tumblr media
You’ve been begging Dalton to watch Scooby-Doo with you for weeks. It’s a Halloween must, but he keeps telling you he’ll do it later.
“It’s Scoob-tober, Dalton!” you exclaim as you collapse onto the bed.
He stares at you before shaking his head and dropping his shoulders. “Fine. Which episode are we watching?” he asks as he sits beside you, tossing an arm over your shoulders.
You squeal excitedly and grab the remote before leaning against his chest and answering, “Spooky Space Kook, A Night of Fright is No Delight, or Mine Your Own Business. Those episodes have the best villains, but you have to pick.”
Dalton looks down at you with furrowed brows as he asks, “Umm, Space Kook?”
“Excellent choice,” you say, nodding as you find the episode and press play.
As you settle into Dalton’s side, your head resting above his heart, he’s glad you convinced him. Even if he watches you instead of Scooby-Doo.
Just after the Space Kook lands the first time, red sparks light across the screen.
You lean forward as Dalton says, “Please tell me you see those too.”
Before you can answer, the TV turns off, and you fall to the ground.
➣➣➣➣➣
You hit the ground with a painful thud and turn to check on Dalton, shocked to see him in cartoon form before a cartoon background.
“Dalton, you’re a cartoon,” you say nervously, standing and wiping the dirt from your pants.
“You’re a cartoon,” Dalton parrots as he points at you.
“What just happened?”
“We were watching the show and then those sparks showed up,” Dalton answers.
“The red sparks. Do you think this is a Further thing?”
“No, we closed the door.”
A car sputters somewhere behind you, and you stop speaking, turning to follow Dalton’s hand as he points to a farmhouse in the distance.
You gasp as you see the source of the sputtering noise, hitting Dalton’s shoulder as you squeal, “That’s the Mystery Machine! We’re not just cartoons, we’re in Scooby-Doo!”
➣➣➣➣➣
You and Dalton approach the farmhouse from the same direction as Mystery Inc., listening to their conversation as you wait beside a tree, invisible to Scooby and the gang.
“Like, nobody home,” Shaggy says after their knock goes unanswered.
You point to the side of the porch just before the farmer appears with a shotgun and bellows, “Get off of my property! I’m sick of you reporters pestering me night and day! Now, get!”
Dalton pushes you slightly behind him as you watch the ordeal from the yard.
“Reporters? We’re not reporters,” Fred responds.
“No, uh-huh,” Scooby agrees.
“We just want to buy some gasoline,” Daphne says.
“Gas, huh? I don’t believe you. Now, get on out of here, the lot of you!” the farmer yells. “You two in the yard, too!”
Dalton steps back, pushing you with him. Your eyes are still on the gang as Fred glances over to see who the farmer is talking to. His eyes catch yours, and he smiles before turning to the farmer as Velma speaks.
“Excuse me, sir, but why would reporters want to bother you?” she asks.
“They’ve been running me ragged ever since it showed up.”
“It? What’s it?” Fred adds.
“A ghostly craft from another world moving across the sky like an evil spirit.”
Dalton tenses, and you raise your hand to press between his shoulder blades. It’s your silent way of reminding him that you’re with him and he’s not alone.
“Evil spirit?” Scooby repeats before swallowing harshly.
“You mean, like a haunted flying saucer?” Daphne questions.
“Right, but that’s not all. Something’s been creeping ‘round here ever since it showed up.”
“Then it must’ve just crept by,” Velma announces, “Look over there!”
She points to the footprints, which go right behind you and Dalton. Dalton looks at the tracks and then back to you.
“We need to get out of here,” Dalton whispers harshly.
“Footprints,” Fred says.
“Zoinks!” Shaggy exclaims.
Your eyes widen, and you tap Dalton’s back excitedly at the firsthand experience of hearing Shaggy say, ‘Zoinks.’
“I’ve never seen footprints like those before,” Daphne says.
“Neither have I,” Dalton agrees.
“They’re boots dipped in phosphorous,” you tell him.
Dalton turns to look at you with raised brows, and you shrug and say, “What? I love this episode.”
“I see ‘em all the time,” the farmer informs.
“They sure are strange-shaped tracks,” Velma says, leaning over to inspect them.
“Let’s us make tracks the other way,” Shaggy implores.
“He gets it; let’s listen to Shaggy,” Dalton mutters to himself.
“I’m with you!” Scooby agrees.
“Hold it!” Fred demands as the footprints fade. “They’re gone!”
“Hmm,” Velma begins, “Ghostly flying objects, strange tracks that glow in the dark…”
“And something creepy creeping around in the night,” Daphne finishes.
Dalton cocks his head as he watches Scooby get his tail bitten by a chicken before jumping toward Shaggy. Scooby overshoots his goal and lands in Dalton’s arm as he exclaims, “He rot me! He rot me! Oh, help, he rot me!”
Shaggy walks over to Scooby and Dalton, and he says, “Aw, you big chicken. It was only a chicken. Get down.”
Shaggy pushes Scooby from Dalton’s arms, and Dalton sighs with relief. Scooby chuckles as he hits the ground, and you kneel to pat his head as you listen to Fred.
“Well, those footprints weren’t made by a chicken. It looks like we’ve found ourselves a mystery,” he announces.
“Um, excuse me,” you call as you stand, laying your hand on Scooby’s head. “I’m a huge fan of Mystery Inc., and this is Dalton. We have some experiences with creatures like this. Any chance we could help solve this one?”
“Sure!” Fred agrees. “Sounds swell.”
You silently cheer and stick your hand into your pocket, surprised to see a Scooby Snack in your hand when you pull it out.
“Scooby,” you whisper, passing it to him as you and Dalton walk to the Mystery Machine.
“Mmm, rank rou,” Scooby says as he licks his lips.
Fred says your name, and when you look up, he smiles and asks, “Want to sit in the front with me?”
Dalton’s jaw clenches beside you as he waits for you to answer.
“I can sit in the back with Dalton and Scooby,” you respond. “But thanks!”
➣➣➣➣➣
“Sure was nice of the farmer to give us some gas,” Daphne says as Fred drives down the road.
“Yeah, now we can go look for that ghost craft,” Fred agrees before a high-pitched pulsing cuts him off.
“Well, we don’t have to look any further. There it is,” Velma points out.
“Zoinks! What a creepy-looking crate,” Shaggy yells.
“We’re in luck. It landed behind that hill,” Fred says, turning to follow it.
“Yeah, we’re in luck, and, like, it’s all bad,” Shaggy adds.
Dalton looks at you over Scooby’s head and nods his agreement.
➣➣➣➣➣
“It looked like it landed somewhere around here,” Velma says as everyone exits the van.
“What is this place, anyway?” Daphne asks.
“Looks like an abandoned airfield. Hasn’t been used in years,” Dalton answers.
Fred agrees with Dalton before smiling at you, causing Dalton to step closer to you.
“I’m for abandoning it, too. It’s, like, got the creeps!” Shaggy adds.
“Uh-oh!” Daphne calls. “Do you guys see what I see?”
“It’s those spooky glowing tracks again,” Shaggy says.
“Oh, no!” Scooby exclaims, jumping behind Shaggy’s legs.
“It’s our first clue, let’s follow them,” Fred says before walking alongside the footprints.
“Let’s don’t and say we did,” Shaggy suggests.
“But the gate’s locked. How will we get in?” Daphne points out.
The gate opens on its own, and Dalton turns to roll his eyes at you before flinching and smiling when you elbow him in the ribs.
“This is awesome,” you whisper as you step closer to him when Scooby jumps between you and Shaggy.
“Ghosts!” Scooby yells.
“You mean wind. The gate wasn’t locked. Come on!” Fred says.
➣➣➣➣➣
Fred calls you over and asks you to help him follow the tracks. Dalton stays right beside you as everyone heads toward a shed. The prints vanish into the shed, and Scooby jumps up to look in the window, surprised to see himself.
“What’s in there?” someone asks.
“Scooby!” Scooby answers.
Fred steps closer to you as you look into the window beside Scooby.
“It’s his reflection,” you say as you stand up.
“Window’s dirty,” Scooby adds.
As you step away from the window, you hear a humming sound from the other side of the door. Daphne asks what the sound is, and Fred expresses his confusion about how to get inside.
“May I?” Dalton asks before kicking the door and opening it.
“Wow!” Daphne expresses, grabbing Dalton’s bicep as she walks by, “You’re so strong, Dalton!”
Dalton looks at you, and you smile before asking, “We’re even?”
“Not even close,” he whispers as you walk in front of him.
You stop when you reach the generator, and Dalton’s hands land on your waist as he waits behind you.
“It’s the generator,” you announce, pointing to the device.
“Why would an abandoned airfield need a generator?” Daphne asks.
“And, like, why is it on?” Shaggy adds.
You turn your head at a strange sound and see the spaceship land in the field. Dalton turns to and alerts the gang.
“Let’s split up, gang, and find this space creature!” Fred commands. He invites you to come with him and Velma, but Dalton’s hand on your lower back feels like a better invitation.
“I think Dalton and I should go alone, we can cover more ground that way,” you suggest.
Fred agrees, and everyone goes their separate ways to find the Space Kook.
➣➣➣➣➣
“Do you know what’s happening right now?” you ask Dalton as you walk toward the radio tower.
“Fred is developing more of a crush on you?” Dalton suggests.
You bump your shoulder against him and laugh. “No, Fred just got stuck in a hoist, Scooby and Shaggy got caught up in sheets and think the other is a ghost.”
“You really do love this show.”
“Yeah. We do you think I tried so hard to get you to watch it with me?”
Dalton stops, wrapping his fingers around your wrist to make you stop.
“I’m sorry if you thought I didn’t want to watch it with you. I- just- I was trying not to spend time with you because I didn’t want to have to walk away if you didn’t feel the same way.”
You twist your hand to hold Dalton’s and step closer as you brush some of his hair out of his eyes.
“I do feel the same way, if it’s the way that makes you want to spend time with me.”
Dalton raises his hand to your neck, pulling you against his chest and tilting your chin toward his.
“I really want to kiss you,” he whispers.
“While I’m a cartoon?”
“You’re a very pretty cartoon.”
You shake your head and hear Scooby yell. Smiling at Dalton, you keep your hand in his and gesture with your head to where the gang is meeting.
“You still missed the entire episode,” you point out as you turn the last corner and see Scooby and Mystery Inc.
“We can watch it as many times as you want when we get back,” Dalton says.
“Will you actually watch it or just try to kiss me?”
Dalton simply looks at you as you join the group. Mystery Inc. expresses that no one found any clues.
“It seems to me that this ghost is using this airfield for something else besides haunting,” Velma says.
“Gas,” Scooby announces, pointing to the exhaust pipe of an old Jeep with flat tires.
Dalton looks under the car with Fred, telling the girls about the extra set of usable wheels. As they stand, the car drives away, and an entire army of Space Kooks appears. Scooby and Shaggy retreat to the radio tower as Fred, Velma, and Daphne run the other way.
Shaggy uses the radio speakers to call the gang to the tower, expressing that he found something, but you remain still.
“Should we go?” Dalton asks.
You shake your head and answer, “Space Kook beats them there and Shag and Scoob parachute down. We’ll wait for the sheriff.”
Dalton wraps an arm around your shoulders, content to wait with you. When Scooby returns, you give him more Scooby Snacks and kneel to pet him.
“How did you know to come, Sheriff?” Velma asks.
“I called. I saw your van was still here and got worried,” the farmer answers as he approaches.
Space Kook appears behind you, and when he sees the sheriff, he runs into a building labeled ‘Research Lab.’ Fred is waiting by a panel and presses a button after Space Kook runs by, turning on the wind tunnel. As the wind picks up, the helmet comes off, and the phosphorous on his boots illuminates.
“Well, I don’t believe it,” the farmer exclaims. “It’s Henry Bascomb, my next door neighbor.”
“But what about those weird noises and the flying thing?” Daphne asks.
“C’mon, I’ll show you!” Shaggy announces before leading them to the radio tower.
“It was a very clever plan. Here’s our ghost craft,” Fred says before turning on a projector.
“But what about those odd voices?” Daphne asks.
“It was just a speeded-up soundtrack…” Fred begins.
“Played over the loudspeaker,” Shaggy finishes.
“But we did see a whole bunch of those creepies over by the motor pool,” Daphne points out.
“Stuffed dummies, if I had to bet,” Dalton suggests.
“And I’d bet that crazy jeep was run by remote control!” Shaggy agrees.
“The last remaining puzzle in my mind is ‘why?’” Fred says.
“I can answer that. This Bascomb fella got wind that the Air Force was planning to open the field again and would be needing more land for jets,” the sheriff explains.
“Aha! So that’s it! He wanted to scare us off so he could pick up the land cheap,” the farmer concludes.
“And I’d have done it, too, if you kids hadn’t come along,” Bascomb yells.
“Weren’t you kids scared like the rest of us?” the farmer asks.
“Oh, no. Solving mysteries is our hobby. It takes a lot to scare us,” Shaggy answers.
Fred turns on the Space Kook laugh soundtrack, causing Scooby to jump into Shaggy’s arms and Shaggy to jump into Dalton’s.
➣➣➣➣➣
“So, where are you going now? We’re on the hunt for another mystery if you’d like to come,” Fred offers as Daphne talks to Dalton.
You look at Dalton and smile. “We have to get home. Thank you so much, Fred, this was a dream come true. Working with you was everything I dreamed of.”
“No problem,” he says, hugging you. “It would be an honor to have you back sometime.”
You smile, and he climbs into the Mystery Machine, followed by Velma and Daphne, who wave at you while Dalton returns to your side. Scooby stops before you, and you kneel, petting him as you feed him Scooby Snacks.
“Can I have a hug, Scooby?” you ask, smiling as he indulges you and lets you hug him.
“Like, thanks for everything,” Shaggy says before opening the door for Scooby. “See ya around!”
You watch the Mystery Machine drive away and turn back to Dalton. He pulls you into a hug and brushes his hand over your hair.
“Thank you,” you whisper against his chest.
“Of course. Now let’s get home so I can kiss real you.”
“Scooby Dooby Doooooo,” you howl.
When your voice fades, you look expectantly at Dalton. He sighs before copying you, and everything fades to black.
➣➣➣➣➣
You open your eyes and find yourself on the couch, wrapped in Dalton’s arms again.
“Start the episode over,” Dalton says, slipping his hands onto your cheeks.
“We’re not going to watch it, are we?” you ask as you press play again.
“Does Scooby-Doo like Scooby Snacks?” Dalton responds, smiling against your lips as he kisses you.

Is there any spn eps you haven't seen? (spnwin included)
Most of the show post season 10!
I dropped off the first time during season 10 because I was extremely bored and didn't at that point have a love and appreciation for Crowley and Rowena, both of whom I found annoying (what a fool I was...mostly I was frustrated by the flatness of the season which to be fair I was frustrated by this time around too lol). That plus my feeling that Fan Fiction was the writing team firmly saying NO to destiel "That's your interpretation and it's wrong but that's okay <3" which I felt was cowardly, and Kevin's death last season AND Charlie's death only a season apart, both of whom were fan favourites. AND my bestie was like "the finale is SO BAD. They kill Death [her all time spn favourite character]." I jumped ship lol.
I DID come back for Scoobynatural and the start of season 12 for Mary. But then it becomes Anti-Abortion-Natural for a while and if there's any people I do NOT want to hear "the abortion debate" from it's the creative team behind supernatural so I stopped again.
So currently I am flying blind! Plot points that aren't extensively discussed by fandom will be a surprise for me! Which is exciting! And I haven't watched The Winchesters. But I HAVE read @mrcowboydeanwinchester 's brilliant fic Sing A Hymn For Mary which I HIGHLY recommend.

14. What's your all time favourite ship?
I can't choose. I love many ships from many fandoms however it can depend on my mood as well so at the moment I'm going through a Sylki phase lol.
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
There are several Supernatural fics I do want to finish but it's so much harder now the show is finished but I don't want to leave them unfinished so I will finish them eventually...hopefully fingers crossed lol.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I would say humour. I love writing comedy. I love coming up with what if suitations writing AUs of episodes or add ons.
17. What are your writing weakness?
I could say smut still I am much better compared to what I was a few years ago but there are other smut fics that are better written than mine. I would say I still want to improve on my writing become more descriptive and express more detail.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
I'm cool with it as long as there is a Google translate nearby lol.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Supernatural.
20. Favourite fic you've written?
I love my fics for various reasons but Who is a Wee Cutie Pie continues to have a place in my heart it was a fic that started out as a one shot joke but then it turned into a full blown fic with some added on one shots. It is always the most unexpected, not planned fics that I end up falling in love with it is like the characters take control of your writing and lead the story and you just go with the flow and end up being surprised. :D
Tagging: @unmistakablyunknown @awkwxrdapple @vallygirl285 no pressure. :)
20 questions for fic writers
@chrononautintraining tagged me for this, thank you!
1. how many works do you have on ao3?
24
2. what’s your total ao3 word count?
162,445
3. what fandoms do you write for?
Almost exclusively for The Untamed/MDZS. Did a little fic for Legend of Fei as well, but I guess that was an exception. XD
4. what are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Five Serious Late-Night Conversations & ...
Hanguang-Jun's Flawless Taste in Men
Rumour Twarting, Gusu Lan Style
A More Practical Approach
Sign Me Up For That Full-Time, I'm Yours Which isn't a surprise since those are the oldes ones in that fandom.
5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?
Yes I do. I appreciate that people take the time to leave a comment and so I want to at least thank them. Then again, I'm not exactly flooded with comments, so it's easy to keep up.
6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I'm not much of an angst writer. I guess the angstiest would be Bitter Flies My Longing Soul, which is angrily pining LWJ during Sunshot.
7. what’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Almost all of them are happy. XD I guess the happiest is likely Five Serious Late-Night Conversations, because it's a fluffy fic in general. I also think that Jade Reflecting the Morning's Glow ends very happily and is overall a very soft fic.
8. do you get hate on any fics?
So far I haven't and I hope it stays that way! But I guess it's far easier to get hate if your fics take off or if you've got "controversial" tags that draw in the haters.
9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?
So far, I've posted one smutty fic. Currently trying to write another one, we'll see how that goes. XD I tend to write T-rated stuff tbh.
10. do you write crossovers? what’s the craziest one you’ve written?
No I don't. Or I haven't yet, but I also don't have ideas for crossovers so I don't see one in my near future.
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of, hopefully not!
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
No I haven't.
13. have you ever co-written a fic before?
Also no. (Wow this is exciting XD) But I could see it happening.
14. what’s your all time favorite ship?
I usually have a main ship for each fandom and it would be difficult to decide on my all time favourite! It's usually whoever is the one from my current main, I guess.
15. what’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I think I'm going to finish all my current WIPs. Or well, the ones that actually have good chunks written which are 4. I don't count the tiny snippets or tentative ideas because those are usually just me wanting to get the idea out and then letting it lie around to see if something happens with them.
16. what are your writing strengths?
I think I'm good at humour and feel good stuff, and also with dialogue! Most of my fic ideas start with an idea for a conversation. Also, I'm good with grammar and spelling.
17. what are your writing weaknesses?
Action scenes, which I haven't even written yet. XD Trying to avoid them. I'm also really insecure about smut but I guess that's one of those things that people are either super sure about or fear. XD
18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I don't mind it? At least if there's a footnote or something to translate.
19. first fandom you wrote for?
Sherlock. Which was for a holiday exchange, otherwise I wouldn't have written anything for it at first. And then I liked it well enough to write another fic for it. And then didn't write anything for 8 years or so. XD
But I started at, like, 10 with drawing/writing stuff for The Animals of Farthing Wood. XD I'm sure those comics are still lying around somewhere at my parents' house. It was a whole epic thing. There were so many fox OCs! XD
20. favorite fic you’ve written?
Oh that is mean! I don't really have a favourite. I think everything came together the best in A More Practical Approach, as it came out pretty much exactly as I'd wanted it too. But I'm proud of all the other ones as well, of course!
I'm too lazy to think of people to tag and I've seen a lot of people already do this on my dash. So, if you want to answer this, go for it!

Brave New World (A Scoobynatural Fanfic)~
So, I’ve been writing this on and off since the Scoobynatural episode aired. At first, it was just for myself, just to get this scene out of my head. The past couple of days I’ve been feeling the urge to share it though, so…here it is!
I’m planning on writing more for it, but can’t say for sure when the next chapter will be uploaded. It depends on reader feedback/response I suppose (it’s not worth sidelining my main WIP for this if it’s not getting a reaction from readers, ya know?).
So, if you like this little tidbit of fic, please reblog and let me know (of course, if you’re shy it’s okay to just like the post or reblog with a reaction gif, that’s cool with me! :) ).
Enjoy!
* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *
Shaggy couldn’t sleep.
He stared up at the ceiling of the room he was sharing with Fred and Scooby, listening to their breathing as he tried in vain to count sheep. It was a wasted effort on his part, because he never made it past ten or eleven of the fluffy figments of his imagination. He was too distracted. Everything that had happened in the past few hours ran through his head for the hundredth time, and he shuddered. Wishing they were back home, where everything was normal and safe.
Ghosts, monsters, demons, even angels; according to Sam, Dean, and Castiel they were all real after all! And alternate realities too, as it turned out. Thanks to a freaky purple light, that had appeared out of nowhere and enveloped the gang while they were walking to the Mystery Machine to go celebrate the victory of their joint investigation with the Winchesters and Cas, he and his friends were now all trapped in one of these other realities. Unfortunately for them, it just so happened to be one where all the things that go bump in the night seemed to thrive.
It was everything he ever dreaded, and worse!
Scooby whimpered from his spot at the base of the bed, jolting Shaggy back to the present. He quickly sat up and leaned forward to pat his sleeping dog. Whispering ‘it’s okay, Scoob’ soothingly, over and over again with each gentle stroke, until his best friend stopped twitching and settled down into a more peaceful slumber. The scrawny teen stayed like that for a moment, studying the dog, and then he let his eyes wander over to Fred’s sleeping form.
He couldn’t help feeling a little envious of how his friend had just, more or less, rolled with the insanity that had been thrown at them that night. Then again, Fred was usually the first to recover from a surprise thrown their way. Velma and Daphne still seemed a little unsure of the situation when the five of them had parted ways to turn in for the night, but they did their best to not let it show much. Shaggy knew his friends well, though. By the morning, the girls would be just as calm and collected as Fred seemed to be about the whole thing.
It still rattled Shaggy though, how different everything looked in this world. How different they themselves looked. It was like walking around in a 3D movie, or a cartoon! And it wasn’t just the physical change that disturbed him, he had noticed other changes since they had arrived in this world.
His appetite wasn’t as strong here, although Velma and Sam both theorized that might just be his nerves. Velma’s eyesight seemed a little bit stronger since her arrival, which she had been surprised to discover when her glasses had gotten knocked off when they first found themselves in the bunker. And Daphne had noticed, whispering to the rest of the gang as to not offend their hosts, that their new friends looked older in this reality than they had back home.
The biggest change, though, had been in Scooby.
Shaggy had noticed something was off pretty quickly after they had arrived in this frightening new reality. When he realized what it was, it had come as a terrible shock to all of them. Scooby Doo couldn’t talk in this world.
Dean seemed almost as upset by this revelation as Shaggy had been.
Castiel had tried to fix that. After revealing to the gang that he was an angel of the lord, a fact that Shaggy was still processing even now, he had tried to restore Scooby’s ability to speak. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. The best he could do was allow the rest of them to at least feel the unique dog’s emotions, a kind of psychic connection, but as comforting as the existence of the link was…it just wasn’t the same.
“At least you can still understand us,” Shaggy thought as he ran his hand across the dog’s shoulder one more time. Then, with a tired sigh, he got up.
Even though he wasn’t actually hungry, he figured it wouldn’t hurt to try to find his way back to the kitchen and help himself to a midnight snack. That always seemed to help back at home when he couldn’t sleep if he was too worked up over a case, maybe it would help now.
The bunker was still hard to navigate. Instead of locating the kitchen, he stumbled across a recreational room instead. He flicked on the lights and smiled. “Zoinks! Like, this is a pretty groovy space!”
Dean’s so-called ‘Dean Cave’ was a room that Shaggy could easily imagine himself and the rest of the gang hanging out in a lot in the coming days. He wasn’t much of a foosball player, but he knew Fred would be eager to go a few rounds with everybody. “He’ll coax Dean into playing, no doubt about it.” The jukebox in corner showed promise, and he found himself wondering what kind of music their new friends liked listening to. Would it be bands he and his friends were familiar with, or some groovy new future music?
It wasn’t until he noticed the miniature fridge plugged in by the in-progress bar that his eyes really lit up. Shaggy’s stomach grumbled at the sight of it. Maybe his appetite was coming back to him now that the shock of their trip was beginning to wear off?
With a sigh of relief, Shaggy strode over to the fridge. Walking between the foosball table and the two reclining chairs that were placed squarely in front of the TV that Dean had set up there, having replaced the one he had broken with the one that had been in his own room before calling it a night a few hours earlier.
Shaggy jumped a little in surprise when he stepped on something hard, and heard the click of the TV turning on as he lifted his foot to get a look at the object. It took him a moment to figure out what it was, he was used to the clunkier TV remotes back home, but once he did he was grinning with childlike wonder as he picked it up and flipped through the channels. There were so many stations!
If there was one perk about this creepy reality, it was that they were so much more advanced than the one he came from. “I guess it won’t be too awful, staying here for a while.” He thought to himself as settled on a random station, not paying much mind to what was playing as he turned his attention back to the fridge.
“Like, Scooby and I can stay here and investigate the kitchen!”
Shaggy’s eyes widened with surprise at the sound of his own voice, and he glanced at the TV again. Stunned by what he was seeing, he let the fridge door close on its own and wandered over to stand behind the reclining chairs. He rubbed at his eyes, and blinked with astonishment as he watched the rest of the scene on the small screen continue to unfold. He was on the TV! So was Scooby and the rest of the gang, looking like their normal selves!
“Wha-what’s going on…” Shaggy murmured, feeling the all-too familiar sensation of the hair on the back of his neck standing up and goosebumps rising across his arms.
He remembered the case he was watching.
Was there some kind of TV crew secretly taping them the whole time? But, no. That didn’t make any sense. Way too many cameras would have needed to be used in order to pull off what he was seeing. Plus, he remembered how cramped and creaky that particular house had been; even if both he and Scooby had been oblivious to a camera crew, he was certain the others would have noticed a bunch of men hiding in the house filming them eventually.
Not to mention the fact that this case was close to a year ago now, and no one ever approached them about it.
He was starting to wonder, as he rubbed his eyes again, if he was dreaming after all. But he knew he wasn’t, and as the program ended he felt a sense of unease begin to prickle at him.
“You’re watching The Classic Cartoon Hub!” Said a narrator as the lineup for the next two hours displayed on the screen. “Up next is another episode of Scooby Doo!”
Suddenly feeling weak in the knees, Shaggy gripped the top of the closest recliner. Stumbling his way around it, he slowly sank into its plush cushion and stared on in shock as the screen went black for a moment before the sound of squeaking bats rang in his ears and the opening theme began to play.
“This can’t be real…it has to be some kind of crazy joke!”
He spent the first ten minutes of the program repeating that thought in his head. The case being shown in this episode was a much more recent one, the gang had solved it just last week, and he found himself quoting word for word the conversations he remembered most clearly from that night. By the time the program went to a commercial break, he was too dazed to really pay attention to it anymore. An ad that played a few commercials in advertised a Scooby Doo marathon for the best episodes and movies from 1969 to the present day, and Shaggy felt the dread he was feeling sink its claws in deeper.
“We’re not real…I’m not real…”
Shaggy never did fall asleep that night.
