Does anyone else find it hard to do the dishes? The amount of pain I have for standing for like 10 minutes is crazy.

My Scoliosis story

This is my scoliosis story. I was born with it. I wore a corset brace for a while, when I was at school. After a while I didn’t need to wear it anymore. Years a go, a doctor said it would be too dangerous for me to have surgery so I didn’t have it. I am short in stature for my age because of Scoliosis. I can walk but when I go out I use a wheelchair (one that someone pushes me in) because I get tired walking. Every 4 or 8 months, (depends if my results are good) I have lung function appointments at a hospital.  My results were good at my appointment in April. My next appointment is in December.

I finally did it! I am now a published author! Dancing with Scoliosis: An Ellie the Ballerina Story is an introduction to Scoliosis for children. This children’s book follows a young girl, Ellie, who dreams of becoming a ballerina, but is diagnosed with Scoliosis. This children’s book follows Ellie through her journey of dealing with the pain that is associated with her diagnosis and almost giving up on her dream. Some may not know, but I was diagnosed with Scoliosis at the age of 13 and almost gave up on my dreams. Well, one of them came true today! I think I can’t get on roller coasters anymore😭 The amount of pain I had when I got home was absolutely ridiculous. The bad part is that I knew better 😥

Been a long time….but I didn’t realize that my mild scoliosis would make me so fragile. I’ve been dealing with the pain of my rib becoming misaligned for over a year now. Everyday I’m learning something new about my scoliosis

Do you ever take a deep breath and you can feel how stiff your back is?

Yesterday my back hurt so bad, I was limping. 😒

Also it’s been a while, how’s everyone doing?

The pain is really killing me this week.

But I still walked my dog today. Persevere!

The pain doesn’t stop at my back. It moves to my neck, shoulders, legs and toes. Did I miss one?
