I review books and I also write short science-fiction stories.

I have used Procreate and a huge amount of patience and caffeine to make it work on my website as a header video.

I am an absolute novice in drawing and in any kind of animation, but I wanted to make something on my own for my website.

I know it's not the best, but it shows the things that I love and makes my website a little bit more active and lively.

I have genuinely just googled NASA pictures as inspiration and tried my absolute best to make them look like their real counterparts. I am not sure this actually worked out. There are a few easter eggs there though!

I also have an online bookshop with bookshop.org more like an affiliate shop where I get a commission if someone buys their books through my link. I curate a few book lists there!

I use it to keep my website up and running and to make more book reviews. Now I really want to get better at animation, I don't know there is something so amazing about seeing your drawings come to life. I'm thinking to learn how to make lo-fi tracks, as I'm a huge fan of the genre since it actually became a thing. So I can put my own little music accompanying my own little animation. I don't know why but it makes me so happy just to think about it.

the long way to a small angry planet by Becky Chambers

The first book of the Wayfarers series and I'm pumped up to start a new science-fiction journey after (and in between) the Expanse. By the way I saw that a new series is coming from them so I feel like 2024 is going to be a good year regarding books and games too.

I love the fact that first this novel was self-published by a Kickstarter campaign and I also love how the author basically grew up to be a science-fiction author. To my little Astronomy and Planetary Science undergrad self with writing ambitions this is way more meaningful than just simply being inspirational.
