as a genderqueer swiss person, i am absolutely overjoyed by switzerland winning this years esc.

MAYBE this will help push the swiss government to actually legally recognize non-binary ppl and give us a third gender option in the near-ish future <3

as a swiss person i have to disagree. I’m so sorry but i just don’t understand the point and cant read ß as a double s

HOWEVER smth very interesting tho is that in switzerland ß isnt part of our Highgerman (its not in our alphabet at all), so its easier to tell when a text is AI generated / assisted.

In school we dont learn about ß, like when to and when not to use it. We know it exists but we arent taught the rules. So because of that almost no one from german Switzerland genuinely uses ß. Why would we, yk?

So anyway, AI doesnt quite get this. so if, for example, a student turns in an essay and it has ß in it its almost guarantee its AI generated / assisted.

And for some reason many ppl dont check this? So ive seen a bunch of SWISS MADE things w ß despite it being incorrect here lol

In light of my ß appreciation post making its round again, can we also talk about how much the cursive ß fucks

Swiss tumblr meet up!

Yooo Schwiizer!

Ich han vor öppe 3 Johr scho mol so en Meet-up-Post gmacht. Ich finds eigentlich e mega cooli Idee und ich ha au scho zemli vell Lüüt uf tumblr kenneglehrt und nochher isch e real-life oder zmindescht e mega starki online-fründschaft entstande und das fendi mega toll :) 

Vor 3 Johr hemmer e Whatsappgruppe gmacht, aber es isch irgendwie ned so geil gloffe, will irgendwie hets es Chaos geh und Stress und alles und ich bi au nie amene Träffe gsi. Es isch irgendwie alles chli komisch gloffe. 

Ich würds aber mega gern nomol versueche und e Whatsappgruppe mache, wo mer eus denn chli vorstelle und chli schwätze und bespreche, was und wenn und wie und wo mer eus mal wennd träffe. Ich weiss, jetzt sind de Sommerferie und so, aber das cha ja au nach de Ferie mal klappe. Mir gsehnds ja denn :) 

Allerdings gits au es paar “Regle” bzw. Sache, woner müend beachte:

Also ich bi 22i und ha im Prinzip keis Problem demit, wenn öpper einiges jünger oder älter isch. Mir isch das Wurscht ^^ Ich bi jetzt au ned meeeega erwachse und was weiss ich ^^ Aber ich find scho, dass ihr mindestens 16/17 müssted sii, um “mitmache” z chönne, will suscht gönd d Interesse eifach z fescht usenand, was ja ned schlimm isch, aber wenn mer sich ned würkli öppis z säge het, ischs ja au doof ^^

Ihr müend Schwiizerdütsch chönne bzw. zmindescht chönne verstoh. Suscht gits weder eis huere Durenand mit de Sproche.

Id Gruppe chömed nur Lüüt, wo au en meh oder weniger aktive tumblr account hend. Ihr hend sicher alles netti Kollege und so, aber es isch es tumblr meet up :)

D Whatsappgruppe isch ned zum Spamme do. Ich stoh ned eso uf Gruppe, wo all Stund irgendwelchi Videos und Bilder teilt werded oder generell gspammt wird. 

Falls öpper, wo de Gruppe biiträte isch, nümm wett mitmache, denn isch das keis Problem und mer cha mir das eifach säge. Und au suscht, falls irgendöppis isch - ich bin da :p 

Irgendwelchi Beläschtigunge, sexistischi Comments, Drohige, rassistische Scheiss, Diskriminierige, etc. werded ned toleriert! Aber das sett eigentlich klar sii :)

Also, es würd mi freue, wenn ihr euch bi mir mälde würded. Schribed mer eifach euche Name, URL, Handynummere, Alter und de Kanton woner wohned und ich duen euch adde! 

Ich fänds mega lässig (sones grusigs Wort aber ja haha), wenns würd klappe :)
