Ana wore a smug grin, nodding in response his his obvious scepticism. "Mhm!" She started cheerfully. "The last Witcher who rode me into town hadn't bathed in two weeks." She couldn't help but chuckle at her own crude humor. Ana was hardly a ladylike person. She could be when she needed to, and had the beauty of a lady, but a personality that showed a headstrong woman, brought up to be wild from her first day alive.

The young woman huffed when he told her to stay put, and watched him approach her horse. She gave a slight squeeze of her legs, testing to see if she could ride, and winced when the squeezing shot pain through her leg. There was a frustrated sigh before she shook her head. "I can't ride." She admitted albeit annoyed by it. "Just give me a lift into town and I'll hobble to a room and be out of your hair. Buy ya a drink for your troubles."

The woman seemed to be getting a little more comfortable against him and Geralt didn't mind in the slightest. She was quite pretty even though she seemed a little roughed up at the moment. He would take a guess and say that she was on the road a lot like him, though he wasn't sure what her profession was ... something secretive .... and that usually meant something dangerous. "Hm. I haven't had a bath in a week and i'm covered in swamp muck and monster guts and you've smelled worse?" The Witcher let out a deep chuckle. He smiled to himself when she said that she liked his name. Geralt waited a moment but when she didn't share her's with him he let out a sigh before spotting the horse in the trees.

He was right it was her horse and she seemed eager to jump off and get to it. "Whoa...You need to not be putting pressure on that leg. Let me get him...." Geralt hopped off Roach and walked slowly over to the stead. He made a soft hum to show he was no threat and then carefully took the reins. "You want me to put you on your horse? I suggest you still stay a night in White Orchard, though." He was sure she'd want to be on her own stead which was too bad because he'd miss her body nestled up against his. "Or I can tether the lead to Roach so he doesn't get away and you can still ride with me."

It was something to get used to...the way Geralt reassurred her, but she had learned to find his meaning easy enough. While he was a man of few words, she could always find his true meaning in his eyes. She couldn't see him being anything like her at any age, he seemed so much larger than life and not just in size. Geralt was something else entirely, and it was hard to feel sure enough in yourself to believe something like what he was saying. She still gave a small smile though, and nodded before pulling her hands away when he let go of them.

The promise of getting out to go hunt and forage was nice. Ciri nodded with a small smile on her face. "Sounds great! I've been needing to get out of here anyways." She paused, rolling her lips. "And...I'd like the company, if you're still offering."

"I know for a fact because you remind me of myself at your age. I had nightmares that haunted my dreams every night. I see that same strength in you that I learned to fight them off." Geralt gave her hands a squeeze and then let go. "Don't doubt yourself." There was a gentle smile on his face before he turned to look at the window as the rain began to pelt off it.

"Storm's coming in. Looks like we're in for a rough night." Lightning flashed in the sky lighting up the bedroom. "If it clears up by morning though how about we go out and hunt some game and forge for some wild mushrooms." He wanted to get her mind off fear and give he something to do to build up her strength and her skills. "I believe it's our turn anyway."
