man was already up, having just came off his phone and laying like this 😐 in bed as he either waited for himself to fall asleep or was thinking about an awkward interaction he had earlier that day 

anyway, as soon as you turned to him like ‘tsukki, do you wanna come with me to get ice-cream?’

he was suddenly 😴 fast asleep, fake snores and all

you were stubborn though, so you hopped out of bed up to go get ice-cream by yourself if he was just going to ignore you 

although, once you threw your coat on, tsukishima decided to start questioning your unusual behaviour, ‘why do you want ice-cream? it’s night; can’t you just sleep like a normal person and have ice-cream in the morning?’ 

honestly, tsukishima probably finds your nightly antics more endearing and cute rather than annoying 

he’d never admit it though- 

if you talk to him after midnight, on the outside he always looks displeased but really, he loves talking to you period

whether it is at 5PM or 1AM

you shrugged, without an explanation for your craving, ‘i don’t need to reason my midnight urges to you.’

with that, you turned on your heels to head out the door with the full intention of going to get ice-cream - this wasn’t a game 

tsukishima groaned as he finally deduced that you were being dead serious and not just doing this to irritate him

‘ugh, wait.’ he scoffed, forcing himself out of bed to follow you, ‘we have ice-cream downstairs, dumb-ass. don’t bother going out.’ 

you didn’t spare him a glance, continuing to venture to the front door, ‘yeah, but we don’t have strawberry.’ 

tsukishima glared at you, realising that persuasion would not work in this situation so he’d have to resort to brute force and trickery

‘ah, alright.’ he let out a sigh of defeat, ‘at least give us a hug before you go then.’

you paid no mind to how he referred to himself as plural, which is something he only does when he is lying or guilty as he is talking on behalf of his two faces 

also, you should’ve realised something was up when he actually asked for a hug instead of just expecting you to give him one

obliging, you wrapped him in a hug; allowing him to scoop you up into his arms, throw you over his shoulder and carry you to the kitchen

‘let me go, you whore!’  you squealed, lightly slapping his back as if that’d make him let you go 

tsukishima snickered at how childish you were being, ‘you can’t go out in the middle of the night to get ice-cream. you’ll die.’ 

‘i won’t die!’

anyway, he ends up making you both a bowl of ice-cream and eating it with you at the kitchen table while watching Spirited Away

and despite the fact he had some too, he’ll tease you about this for..the rest of your life 

like sometimes he’ll just wake you up in the middle of the night (during holidays ofc - he respects your sleep schedule) and whisper in your ear, ‘(y/n), do you wanna come get ice-cream with me?’

okay lets get the easy ones outta the way : 

- namjoon and y/n deadass met on the train 1st year it was the most boring meeting of them all

- actually im a liar , she was in a compartment already just minding her damn business when all of a sudden

- a feral “YEET” was heard just outside of her door, followed almost immediately by some first year boy hitting the ground like a high-speed sack of potatoes

- all of his shit was everywhere and he was just face down on the ground not moving at all 

- like is he dead or nah 

- so y/n opened the door to the compartment and went

- “ARE YOU DEAD OR NAH”

- so he responded by rolling over, in the middle of this train hallway thing, and stared up at her for a second before flashing her this cute ass little smile and said

- “i think the world wants us to be friends”

-ok and then namjoon and hobi met bc theyre roommates 

-but hobi was kinda spooky bc hes aggressively smart and namjoons like how the fuck did i not end up in hufflepuff 

-but then within the first month of classes they had at least two major nerd battles and a showdown in the courtyard about the politics of whether or not a hot dog is a sandwich 

- which actually has never been resolved but its fine they fight about it once a year its healthy for them

- and then hobi met y/n bc one time he came back to his room and she was just sitting there talking to roger,, and namjoon wasnt there so he was like okay are you rogers friends and she was whats a roger and roger really deserves better thats all i gotta say

- and then she said smth to him along the lines of “you got a big mouth bro, how many marshmallows can you fit in that thing”

- anyway by the time namjoon [who didnt even invite her there] got back there were marshmallows everywhere and they were both knocked out on the floor and roger was sitting in a corner looking very afraid

- but yoongi had gifted him a little potted plant as like a “hey we’re gonna be roommates until we leave this place, lets be friends!!” kinda gesture

- and jin was just so confused bc how can one person literally radiate sunshine and warmth

- and he was already a grumpy, sleepy kid so he was like uh thanks im jin?

- and then one time forgot to water the little plant and woke up to yoongi standing over him with a menacing glint in his eye

- he never forgot to water that plant again, its name is Cappuccino and it is doing just fine

- he also actually wasnt a coffee drinker until the middle of first year when he and yoongi really needed to study for an exam but it was 3am and he was ready to fall asleep which is impossible next to yoongi who just breathes naturally produced energy hes like a plant for energy he never sleeps

- so he dragged jin down to the kitchens and convinced a house elf to make jin a coffee 

- he convinced her with a plant and his litto gummy smile bc she definitely did not want to give an 11 year old caffeine but she eventually did 

- and so CoffeeJin was born

- so the hufflepuffs actually met the ravenclaw-y/n trio the day of the Hot Dog Showdown

- after some of the profs got tired of seeing these two dummies argue and actually stir up quite the crowd bc this is a very controversial topic, they made everyone get lost 

- but jin and yoongi stayed behind and asked the three of them if theyd ever want to get a midnight hot dog snack tg and continue the battle

- so every friday night they would sneak out as a squad of 5 and just sit in the kitchens talking about random shit 

- also they had a precise 35 minutes of that time scheduled for whatever food topic they wanted to argue about that week

- jin and y/n still get into it regularly about the “milk or cereal first” question

- and thats how the older kiddies became friends!

- jimin and tae met on the train

- actually they just battled on the train, they didnt really meet properly until they were both sorted into slytherin

- “there can only be ONE troublemaker in this school”

- soooo for about a month into their first year the school was a huge mess of them fighting it out 

- and jungkook had gotten caught in the middle of their first train battle so he already knew and kinda liked them even though they were snakes and he was a lion

- so one night on his way to the kitchens he came across them fighting it out in the corridor and just kinda interrupted with a litto

- bc jimin and tae laughed their asses off

- and then they were like wait a minute the coconut has a point 

- so basically jk is responsible for their entire relationship not fate im calling it rn 

- and they just kept bothering him after that tbh until he said fuck house discrimination im gonna be besties with some slytherins

- and y/n did actually notice this bc he ate alone and did work alone and would only hang out with two troublemaker slytherins from time to time

- so he just sat there with his head down and was like eating quietly and kinda listening to them talk and kinda responding to y/n when shed talk to him but really he was quiet and didnt really look at anyone bc he was like why are these second years asking me to eat w them im scared mom come get me

- and when he was done eating his sandwich he was like ok i should go do hw or smth so he was gonna get up

- but then a little hand reached out and put another sandwich on his plate and then a little voice said “dont leave yet !! you barely ate, and lunch isnt over for a while -- stay and talk to us?” and when he looked up

- oh boy we love a yoonkook meeting 

- he was staring at the cUTEST BOY HED EVER SEEN HE ALMOST EXPLODED

- and from that moment on, jungkook was Obsessed 

- and kept asking y/n to sit with them during meals so he could talk to yoongi

- so over time he naturally just became one of them 

- and then at some point jimin and tae were like he ABANDONED US 

- and tried to confront him but it was in the middle of one of jk’s creepy stalking moments so jk just

- and also caught them

this is a dumb post

ok so like after almost 5 months of putting my life on hold to write that fanfic and only 3 hours of sleep last night bc i had to make dinner and i couldn’t fall asleep when i laid down to take a nap, i thought

you know, i wanna stay up until midnight so i don’t fuck up my schedule too bad, i need something low-stress and easy to do for a couple of hours, i have been wanting to play a video game for MONTHS, let’s start the link’s awakening remake

because i played it a lot as a teenager but this whole time i’ve been like “well as an adult i just barely remember it” so i’ve been really excited to like, see what it’s about sort of! even though i already know! because i don’t know because my memory is full of holes!

uhhh except that didn’t go as planned because. maybe it’s just the profound lack of sleep i’ve suffered the last 2 weeks. but like as soon as the theme music came in i started misting up...adn like i remember where some of the stuff is...and i don’t know it’s hard to explain! but i didn’t know that i knew that! i didn’t know that i remembered that! i think without the same music playing i wouldn’t have remembered but it just hacked into some part of my brain that’s like...still 16...??? 

and like i wasnt a fan of the art style when i saw it in trailers and shit but like now that it’s in my hands...it looks SO good...like it looks and sounds and feels so good i am LITERALLY. like i can’t play it because i’m crying!!!! alright. i just...love zelda...SO MUCH. there aren’t good words to describe this feeling...there’s just so much uncomplicated Joy and Wonder attached to this series for me...i have such BIG FEELINSG and they do not fit into my tiny human body!!!!

“Alright, get into position!” The director yelled and you yawned for the tenth time that hour. You were getting sick and tired of being tired all the time. You tried to go to bed at a normal time so you could wake up early to go to work but that never happened. You had a slight problem with sleeping.

You weren’t an insomniac but the doctor did declare you to have some sort of sleeping problem. See, the problem was you couldn’t fall asleep before a midnight. You didn't know what it was but you’ve tried listening to calm music, drinking warm milk or tea, taking sleeping medication and just about everything else in between.

You couldn’t fall asleep before midnight and right when the clock said it was midnight, sometimes you had no problem falling asleep. Other times, you would have trouble since you’ve been on your phone and stimulating your brain so it wasn’t tired. However, last night, you tried everything in the books and took medicine on top of tea on top of everything else and you couldn’t fall asleep. You only went to bed around 3 am and woke up 3 hours later. You were exhausted and the worst thing about this particular scene you were filming, you had to pretend to be asleep.

You worked on the set of Supernatural and it’s been nothing short of amazing. You had an amazing cast behind you, amazing director and crew. Everyone got along and there weren’t any problems. But today was going to be different because today was going to be a problem.

The scene you were supposed to be filming was in a motel you, Sam and Dean had to be at for some case. Your character got sick overnight in the middle of the case and was sleeping when Sam and Dean decided to interview potential witnesses. Your character then goes along with them, not telling them you are sick and things spiral from there.

But you knew, based on how tired you were, you didn't know if you were going to be able to stay awake when you’re lying in a comfortable bed with blankets on you. You had to try and stay awake but your eyes were starting to cross.

“Okay, Y/N, you’re going to get into the bed and Jensen you’re going to be in the bathroom getting ready and Jared, you’re going to be all ready and sitting on the table, looking at your laptop. We’ll start at Jensen’s line when he comes out of the bathroom, everyone good?” The director said and everyone agreed, getting into positions.

You slid into the bed and sighed at how comfortable it was against your skin. You got comfortable and closed your eyes, already feeling yourself drift off into darkness. You had to force yourself not to succumb to it but it was becoming harder and harder.

“And… action!” The director yelled.

“I don’t know, Sam, you sure you want to go back to that woman’s house? I mean, she probably wanted more from you than just an interview if you know what I mean.” Jensen said, playing his character perfectly. Jared, already in the mindset of Sam, shifted uncomfortably and changed the subject immediately.

“Why isn’t Y/C/N awake? We really should get going soon if we want to finish everyone by tonight. I wouldn’t want to cut into your ‘beer time’.” Sam said with an eyeroll.

“Damn right you don’t,” Dean smirked before fixing his tie. He looked at you on the bed before picking up a discarded pillow on the couch by him and throwing it at you to get your character to wake up. “Wake up, sweetheart. You’re lagging.”

Now, what your character was supposed to do was groan and bark at Dean since you weren’t feeling well. Sam was supposed to notice your pale complexion (thanks to the makeup department), and the brothers were supposed to grow concerned about you but you assure them you’re feeling fine and then you go get ready.

That’s what was supposed to happen.

But it didn’t.

You were actually asleep and didn’t feel the pillow hit your face. You were already gone and you were going to stay gone for at least a few more hours. When Jensen and Jared saw you weren’t moving, they broke character and looked at each other with confused looks.

“Y/N?” Jensen said, walking over to you.

“Is she okay?” The director asked with the cameras still rolling. Jensen picked up the pillow and saw you asleep, dead to the world. Jared laughed and got up, making his way to you.

“Is she really asleep?” He asked, looking at Jensen.

“Cut!” The cameras stopped rolling and Jensen knelt by the bed and moved some hair away from your eyes.

“Y/N, wake up.” Jensen lightly shook your shoulders and you groaned, moving your head away from him. You didn't want to wake up and leave this bed.

“You know, we have a job to do,” Jared said from behind. Jensen and Jared knew of your sleeping problems since you would come to them and tell them all about how tired you were and things like that.

“Can we take a break for a little while? She has sleeping problems and I don’t think she’ll be getting up in the next 5 minutes to do this scene.” Jensen asked the director. The director sighed and looked at his editing crew before talking with them.

“Uh, yeah. We’re a little bit ahead of schedule so that’s fine.” He said before getting up and leaving to do whatever he wanted to do.

“Okay, sweetheart, come on. Let’s get you back to your trailer.” Jensen said before scooping you up bridal style. You groaned and rolled your head on his chest.

“I know you’re tired. We have a break.” Jensen said, walking with Jared to your trailer.

“Thanks.” You muttered.

“You’re welcome, sweetheart. Get some rest. We’ll be here when you wake up.” Jensen said but you were way ahead of him and fell back asleep. You were lucky to have such a nice cast and crew behind you to understand.

Whenever he’s on break he goes into the little play area and hangs out with the kids

Has never given a single shot or taken blood

Lets the “evil” nurses do it for him

Normally works the noon to midnight shift

Once worked the midnight to noon shift and that night all the kids we’re complaining that they didn’t have Dr. Hoshi to help them go to sleep

The kids called him Dr. Hoshi

In Korean it means tiger’s gaze and the kids say his eyes look like a tigers

Also his Japanese patients like it because it means star in Japanese

Dr. Hoshi was a star in all of their eyes

It looked like a messy confession to someone but was cut off at the end

The third email was gibberish, it was just a bunch of randomly typed out characters

You look to see when it was sent and it was sent at 11:50, ten minutes before he got off shift

He probably fell asleep at his desk  

You reopen his first email and look over the referral and email Soonyoung back saying you would take him on to your schedule at 2pm

It was a little boy who was in a car crash and had shrapnel lodged in his chest and had to have his left leg amputated

You finished with a little girl who had be paralyzed from the waist down at 1:45 and then took her back to the neurology ward

You decided to go the the paediatric ward early instead of going back to your office for 10 minutes

All the nurse knew who you were so you all exchanged a hello and then you went to the patient's room

You walked past all the rooms and saw the little boy, whose name was Jinsoo

Whenever you would get a referral from Soonyoung he would always leave a folder with more information about the child's handicaps and the accident or incident that led to them needing to see you

You wish they were all accidents but you had one case with a little girl whose mother had abused her so badly she was unable to walk because of the tissue damage

In Jinsoo’s case it was a horrible, avoidable accident

A drunk driver hit his parents car after the three of them went out for dinner

Jinsoo’s mother was killed and Jinsoo was badly injured due to the fact the car hit their side

Jinsoo’s father was devastated and was always with his son as a result

You put the folder back and walked into the room

Jinsoo was watching Pororo and his father was in the corner eating his lunch

Time to call Doctor Hoshi in

You look over at Dad and tell him you’ll be back

You go over to the nurses station and explain whats happening

The nurse say he doesnt respond to anyone but his father and Soonyoung

You page Soonyoung and he comes out

You tell him whats going on with Jinsoo and he confirms what the nurses told you

He walks back with you to Jinsoos room

“Y/n. I’ll start going with you to Jinsoos appointments so hopefully he’ll trust you more”

Soonyoung picks up Jinsoo and puts him in the wheelchair

You get behind the wheelchair and start going to your wing with Soonyoung at your side a little Jinsoo in his chair

You make small talk with Soonyoung on the walk as well as talking about other patients

One you reached your wing you put the breaks on Jinsoos wheelchair and pick him up

You take him over to a bench and sit him down, with Soonyoung behind you

Bc occupational therapy is all about trying to give the kids the best life they can, you want him to start walking as soon as possible

Korea isnt a very wheelchair friendly place, especially in the city so you want him to start walking soon

“Soonyoung, can you refer him to the prosthetics maker? I want to get him a leg soon.”

Soonyoung takes out his phone and makes a note of it and then has to look up the prosthetics maker email bc he completely forgot it

“Hosh, can you get the the crutches?”

You never called him Hosh or Hoshi. What was happening

But he still none the less got you the crutches

The crutches went around his forearm with a grip at his hands

“Alright Jinsoo. I know you haven’t tried to walk in a while, but let’s get these on you okay?”

Jinsoo looked up at Soonyoung, unsure

Soonyoung nodded his head and then Jinsoo whisper a small okay

You got the crutches around his arms and helped him stand up

He balance was off bc of the missing limb but he was standing

You helped him move the crutches and to help him start moving

He was unstable at best but he was moving

The whole one hour block you had with Jinsoo was focused on using his new crutches and gaining balance

You wanted him to gain a sense of independence that he hasn’t had in awhile

After your session with Jinsoo, Soonyoung picks him up and sets him down in the wheelchair

“See you soon Ms. Y/n! Say thank you Jinsoo!”

“Thank you Ms. Y/n….”

Soonyoung wheeled Jinsoo back to the dorm and you looked to fit Jinsoo into your schedule

You didn’t work in two days and then your schedule for tomorrow was full so

You put Jinsoo in your schedule for 3 days out at 3pm

You have Soonyoungs number for professional reasons

(that was at least Soonyoungs reason for getting your number)

And told him when Jinsoos appointment was

After you sent that text Soonyoung just kept a conversation going

He asked about everything he could think of

(he really likes you but doesnt wanna tell you bc ???)

The next day comes and you go back to the paediatric ward to get a little girl named Jimin who lost her left arm

Little did you know Dr. Hosh talked with Jimin and Jimin was gonna ask all the questions to help him, but he also told Jimin that he liked Ms. Y/n, so things could go south v fast

“Alright Jimin! Are you ready?”

Jimin smiled and got up from her bed and walked with you to your wing

“Ms. Y/n…”

“Yes Jimin?”

“Do you like Dr. Hoshi?”

“Well of course i like him! I work with him every day we’re here. He’s a very good doctor.”

“No Ms. Y/n. Do you like him? Because Dr. Hoshi likes you a lot. If i start telling what I did with you he waits for me to finish and then doesn’t stop talking about you. It’s weird. Adults are weird.”

You are clearly taken back by Jimins comment, “Well Jimin, if Dr. Hoshi asked me out to dinner i wouldn’t say no.”

“Who wouldn’t say no to dinner though!”

Little Jimin was so pure but you knew Soonyoung set her up to ask that

She just went a little further than Soonyoung probably wanted her too

You have your session with Jimin and take her back to the Paediatric unit

That next day Soonyoung was off work. He get 2 days off a week, Sundays and Wednesdays

Worked 8-4 6 days a week, and got off Wednesdays and Mondays

So as both you and Soonyoung had the following day off he decided to make a move with the newly acquired information from Jimin

It was the end of your shift and you were finishing up with one of Jihoons patients as you worked with both adults and kids

Soonyoung had a tea and coffee in his hand

He knew you didn’t really like coffee thanks to forced helped from the nurses you were friends with

You tell Jihoons patient he did a good job and send him back to the oncology ward

In comes Soonyoung

“Hi y/n.”

“Oh Soonyoung! Hi how are you?”

“Good. Heres a tea.”

“Oooo tea. My favourite.”

“Mhm. How was today?”

“Good. Jimin is improving a lot. She's a lot more comfortable with her bionic hand…”

While you were talking about Jimins improvements Hoshi just kinda stared at you focused on the details in your face

After a little bit he saw you snap your fingers at him, “Hello? Earth to Soonyoung! Were you paying attention to anything I was saying?!”

“Wanna out for lunch tomorrow?”

“wHAT?!”

“You. Me. Lunch. Tomorrow?”

“Fuck it. Why not.”

“Pick you up tomorrow.”

Walks away kinda dying inside but also v proud of himself

Gets back to paediatric ward and tells Jimin he’s going out to dinner with you tomorrow

Jimin is happy but confused bc like who doesnt just wanna go out to dinner?

Also tells nurses who he forced to help him

They tease him

Doesnt care at this point

Runs rounds on all his kids and then turns out lights for them

Texts you excitedly

Refuses to tell you where you’re going for lunch  

Gets off shift and goes home and sleeps until 8 (gets home at 1am)

Starts getting ready and making sure hes showered, smells nice and looks good for you

Decides to take you to a traditional korean restaurant

Picks you up from your apartment and you look super cute in a nice dress and sandals with your hair and makeup done nicely

Normally he see you in scrubs with no makeup on and your hair pulled back

If he thought you were pretty before of god he thought you looked like a fucking runway model now

You listen to music on the way to the restaurant

You get there at 12 and dont leave until 2

You just keep talking and talking, feels like you get each other so well

Pays for everything

Takes you shopping after

Also insists on paying for everything

Takes you home after

Kisses at the door of your apartment all cliche and shit

Texts you as soon as he gets home

You guys just keep talking honestly

Takes you out on another date next wednesday

Finally asks you to be his girlfriend

You agree

But on a side note Soonyoung still comes to all of Jinsoos appointments even though Jinsoo finally warmed up to you

He uses them as an excuse to see you

Debra doesn't know who Harry Styles is if it isn't because of Lola. Though they tend to have classes in the same building, Debra isn't the type who lets her eyes wander and watches people. She's the type who actually doesn't mingle in the building too long once her classes are done. She prefers to wait outside, sitting on one of the benches on the green space near the library than waits in the crowded hallway with a bunch of people around her.

Besides, she’s given up on trying to find a boyfriend. She thinks she just can’t find her match with one of the guys on campus, and she figures she’ll just focus on her studies and wait until the right time. That is definitely one of the factors why she never really pays attention to any guys anymore, and another factor is that the last relationship she had—it was last year—only lasted about three months. So, yeah, she thinks now is not the right time to be in a relationship.

So, when one of Harry's classmates, Lola asks for her number on a particularly busy afternoon, Debra furrows her eyebrows and looks at Lola weird. "Harry who?" Debra asks with arms full of rolled up flyers.

"Harry Styles. He's my classmate. You probably recognize him from the footie match last year," Lola says casually.

Debra distinctly remembers that there's a Harry Styles requesting to follow her on Instagram a few nights ago—she was scrolling through her phone aimlessly while singing along to Kodaline songs when she saw it. She accepted that request and followed him back without thinking much further, though she didn't actually know who he is. But some of her mates followed him as well, so she thought there's no harm in following him back. She realized that he didn’t seem like the type who posted a picture on daily basis, so she’s good.

"He followed me on Instagram a few days ago actually, but-"

"You followed him back, right?" Lola cuts, before Debra can finish her words. She nods anyway, "That's good! You know, he kinda takes a liking at you. Thought you're cute and he wants to know you better. That's why I'm here to get your mobile number. ‘s that alright?"

To say Debra is taken aback by those words is an understatement. She's confused as to why Lola is the one who asks for her number, not Harry himself. Is the guy that much a coward or is he simply gone to do other things? Why is Lola doing his dirty work? There are so many things she wants to ask, and she is going to, if her friend, Poppy isn't nudging her and telling her to hurry.

"Deb, just give her your number. We need to get going. Niall is waiting for us. C'mon." Poppy taps her feet impatiently on the ground, causing Debra to groan inwardly. Lola smiles at Poppy's words and opens up her contact to add Debra's number as Debra recites her mobile number carefully.

"'kay! Thanks a bunch, Deb!" with that, Lola walks away with an easy smile and a promise to let Harry know that Debra is such a sweetheart for giving her mobile number. Debra watches Lola walk away with a racing heartbeat and sweaty palms, not knowing what she's just gotten herself into. It has been a while since she found that a guy took a liking at her, and Harry could be a creep for all she knows—like Nolan from fresher's week—and she curses herself for giving into the pressure easily. She could’ve asked a question or two about this Harry guy to Lola, but she guessed the chance is now thrown out of the window.

All of this reminds her of what happened back in high school—when her friend's boyfriend asked for her number because his friend wanted to get her know better. She was also too easy to give into the pressure and in the end, she got her heart broken. It was all so messy, and she wasn't in a good place for a few months—even her parents noticed that, and that's saying a lot because her parents are usually pretty laid back about this kind of stuff.

Shivers run on her spine at the memories, and sweats break out on her temple once she realizes that she probably just made another wrong move.

"Deb! C'mon!" Poppy's voice stops her train of thoughts, and Debra shakes her head faintly to clear her head and focus again at her previous task.

"Right. Okay. Let's go." Bouncing the rolled up flyers in her arms once more, she walks from the library to the parking lot where Niall is waiting for them by his beat-up Honda.

Debra likes to think she's good at studying. Genuinely, she likes the process of clearing a space on her desk to set up her stuff—turning her laptop on, placing her notes strategically near her laptop, using her favorite gel pen to write, and listening to her study playlist that is full of instrumental songs. Also, there's something about the calmness and peacefulness she feels before she starts the whole process that motivates her to get it done. As weird as it may sound, she enjoys studying.

It’s a bit odd that she can't find herself focused on the task at hand when she needs to get at least a thing done that night—she starts sweating at the thought of her mounting coursework for the next week. It's probably because of her noisy neighbors—the freshmen that just moved to the flat right next to her last week—or the overwhelming temptation to keep checking her phone every few seconds. It's driving her mental, but she still forces herself to do her coursework anyway.

It's not even two hours later—and she's not even halfway done with her coursework—when her phone vibrates from beside her. She glances at her phone, reading the text pop-up with furrowed eyebrows. It's a text from the number she doesn't know. With curiosity bubbling up inside of her, she leans back on her seat and grabs her phone, her thumb swiping on the screen to open the text.

Hey, Debra. It's me, Harry. Wanna ask you if Louis and the others are joining the footie competition next month?

Debra frowns. Why would Harry ask about the footie competition to her? She doesn't even know there's a footie competition next month.

Have u asked Louis about it? Bcs I don't know either

Letting out a huff, she locks her phone and places it back on the desk. To bring her focus back on her coursework, Debra takes a few deep breathes and sits up straighter. But just as she's about to get back on writing, her phone vibrates again.

Not really no. Have you got his contacts?

She sends Louis' contact and hopes that he would stop texting her for a while, but when her phone vibrates again, she realizes that this won't stop anytime sooner. So, she keeps responding his texts and replies it as short as she can to let him know implicitly that she's not really up for any kind of socializing with anyone. But even if Harry gets the message, he doesn't show it because he's persistent. And the next thing she knows, it's almost midnight and she's nowhere done with her essay.

Annoyed at herself for letting it get too far, she pushes back her chair and gets up to move to her bed. Ignoring Harry's latest text, she pulls up her contacts and dials Poppy's number.

"How are you not asleep yet? It's midnight." Those are Poppy's words when she answers the phone. All of her close friends know that Debra can't sleep later than midnight. She's an early sleeper and an early riser as well. If she falls asleep later than midnight, it will mess her schedule up and put her in a bad mood, which will put a damper on everyone's mood because she will annoy the shit out of them all day.

"Harry's been texting me since, like, hours ago," Debra confesses in a small voice. Letting the words out of her mouth just makes it more real and she hates how she wasted hours just texting a guy. She rolls on her stomach and buries her face in her pillow.

"Harry who?" she grunts at her friend's question.

"Harry Styles. Lola asked my number a few days ago to give it to him, remember? She said he liked me or something." Poppy lets out a hum from the other line. "'s that it? You're not gonna say anything?"

"Dunno what I'm supposed to say, to be honest. Just let it flow for a while, yeah?" Poppy finally says after a moment.

"Should I tell Penelope?" Once Poppy reassures that it would be best if Debra tells Penelope, they both end the call and Debra is left staring at her ceiling, her mind racing with endless possibilities and outcomes of this Harry thing. She realizes that she isn't supposed to overthink about it, but she always overthinks when any guy shows interest in her.

And maybe, telling Penelope can bring some positive outcomes to the whole situation—though she isn’t sure if there’s a situation—because Penelope was on the student council for 2 years and she actually has friends from other departments. So, maybe, just maybe, she can ask around about Harry and help Debra to get some information about him, because she has no clue at all of him. For all she knows, this guy is as shady as his Instagram page. All of those sunsets and black and white pictures don't really show who he is, and that's bothering her.

Overwhelmed at her own long train of thoughts, she grunts at herself and gets up to get some snack from the kitchen before she could overthink some more—like thinking about going on dates with Harry, seeing each other at campus, and introducing him to her close friends as her boyfriend. It's kind of silly how she already thinks about this when she hasn't even spoken to him face-to-face.

"I got a question for you." Debra looks up from the phone and furrows her eyebrows at Poppy who's sitting across the table with pursed lips and puffed out cheeks like she's thinking hard about this question. "When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? I don't mean, like, being a doctor or something. Like, your first real dream career."

The two girls are waiting for their food at the Chinese restaurant near their flats when Poppy lets out that question—unexpected, but Debra isn't surprised because Poppy always does this kind of things. Debra props an elbow on the table and leans her head on her hand as she mulls over the answer to the question.

"Well," Debra speaks after a moment, "I think I wanted to be a flight attendant, you know? Probably it's because I went to the airport a lot to see my dad at work and lots of planes. And I used to think that it's cool to see all those flight attendants pass by with their uniforms, so probably that's what I wanted to be before my parents told me how dangerous it was and that it's cooler to be a doctor instead." She sits straighter and leans back on her seat, dropping her arms and tapping her fingers on the table impatiently.

Poppy lets out a chuckle and takes a sip of her iced tea. "I still think being a flight attendant is cooler, though. All those traveling and meeting lots of new people intrigue me."

"Says the extrovert one," Debra teases. "And let me guess, you wanted to be an astronaut, right?"

Poppy nods. "Yup, even my old e-mail address is based on that. How silly."

They put a pause on their conversation when the waiter comes back with their food. The steam from the fried mixed vegetable and fried rice are so mouthwatering and make the food look tastier than it actually is. It seems like the food put them in a trace so they both just stare it for a while as the waiter place the food on their table.

A ding pulls Debra back from the trance she got in because of the food—as weird as it may sound—and she reluctantly grabs her phone from her bag. And she wishes she didn't just look at her screen because she just receives a text from Harry—again. She can see the message from the pop-up, but she decides not to read it now. She'd like to focus on the food splayed in front of her for now.

"Who is it?" Poppy asks as she grabs two pairs of chopsticks and passes Debra one. They both grab a tissue to clean it—just to make sure that it is clean—before finally devouring their foods.

"Harry," she answers shortly, causing Poppy to look up and stare at her for a few seconds. "Strangely, we've been texting for days now. I'll tell you later over ice cream. For now, let's eat." That's enough to close the lid on the conversation about Harry for a while. Though Debra can't literally wait to tell Poppy all about it—though it's nothing much because she hasn't seen Harry around campus and really talked to him—she has to wait because the food is better when it's hot and she’s sure that not even a guy (i.e. Harry Styles) will get in between her and her food.
