I was seriously about to consider to knock these reviews down to two episodes per go, mainly to lighten my work load, but honestly when so much happens in such a little amount of time, it feels impossible for me to deny ‘The Farting Sex Tourist’ the right to its very own review. Since the man who is referred to as 'The Farting Sex Tourist’, Principal Novak (Thomas Lennon of 'The Odd Couple’ & 'Reno 911’) could be a potential dinner for Sheila, as well as a key to figuring out just what the hell is going on with her (you know random Serbian art at a bookstore depicting the exact way that Sheila became a zombie), Novak living with his grandmother who just so happens to speak Serbian, and of course Sheila putting Novak in his place and reminding her family that even though she’s turned into a flesh eating California mom she still would literally do anything for them… All add up to laying some serious storyline groundwork for 'Santa Clarita Diet’.

It was actually pretty cool to see Joel and Abby come together and just have a joined freak-out moment with one another, side by side… They needed the release, and to have it as a father/daughter conjoined 'WTF?!’ moment was not only funny but an accurate representation of how I feel too… The pacing of SCD is off the charts and the characters and the audience clearly both feel that… And it’s kinda nice to be able to kick back and relax & laugh while these characters do the worrying for us. Make no mistake about it, there is definitely some worrying to be done and now that the underpaid nosy cop neighbor has found an entire finger in their backyard, things just got even more intense. Commence screaming altogether!

You know, I would’ve really loved to see how Joel made it out of Loki’s house without a massive black eye or some cracked ribs… Something tells me that whatever went down in there… that it totally had something to do with the Molly. I’m telling you guys, MDMA heals everything! Don’t believe me? Consort with your local *trusted* dealer and a *test kit*. Sorry, it’s that harm reduction specialist inside of me that just can’t let an Ecstasy reference go. It will never happen.

And I’m sorry, but is Ryan Hansen literally in everything now? Good for him, get those roles, Papo! But if Ryan Hansen (Bob, Sheila’s latest target by way of Dan) is not a sex trafficker and just Dan’s wife Lisa’s thing on the side… Then that brings major questions into who Loki is and if he’s really a bad guy at all (except for the fact he too is now a flesh eating zombie)… His friends were on Ecstasy, let him go, and the dude had a rescue snake… So maybe Loki wasn’t the hardened criminal Dan made him out to be… Maybe he was someone who was threatening to expose Dan as a crooked cop. There we have another huge development as Abby & Eric find Dan’s 'crooked cop stash’… And now that Dan has pushed Joel to his breaking point, 'Santa Clarita’ is spiraling further and further out of control as we approach the end of S1… Just 4 episodes left!
