Where are you from?

I was born in Tucson, Az but honestly I've moved around all my life from being in a military family and then from making music and miscellaneous reasons as well. Right now I live in El Paso,Tx actually. Shoutout 520, 915, and 254!

Describe your sound:

I've always called it Scat Rap ,kinda like scat jazz, plus I be sh**ting on these rappers in the booth. My biggest influences have been Nas, Zro, and Tyler the Creator, which sometimes shows in my music but in a different way than you would expect. For sure though nobody can say my music lacks originality though so for that it's hard to explain exactly. You just have to hear it. I will say forsure though most of my stuff is pretty in your face and assumedly offensive, though that would be the opinion of someone who only heard those types of songs from me.

Tell us about your new project:

My latest project is my first actual fully fledged album where i can say I have taken all the necessary steps to ensure consistency and cohesiveness as well as it's the first album I can actually profit from it and perform legally, and that's what it's about right? It's called "Prologue Again: Syzygy" for those who don't know what Syzygy means heres Merriam Webster's definition. "the nearly straight-line configuration of three celestial bodies such as the sun, moon, and earth during a solar or lunar eclipse."

Who inspires you?

I’d say really it's life that inspires me and the people I meet daily and all the trials failures and successes equally as well as my fans. Im not very eager to point out one person as a sole influence.

It started out as just freestyling really, I had a homie who wouldn't allow you to walk in his house basically unless you participated in the music and I became really good at freestyling. And then another really good friend of mine basically gave me the desire to make a career out of it because of the faith he had in my music. It truly laid the groundwork for alot of this, we forreal had all the trapspots bumping my stuff constant.

Where do you see your career in 5 years?

In 5 years I plan on having already been a giant in the industry for 3 years, you feel me? I'm going to build an empire forsure, I have the drive , passion and not even trying to sound arrogant or overconfident but the intelligence and skill to make it. In 5 years I don't want to be defined as a rapper anymore, I hope to be a major influence when it comes to all aspects regarding the music industry as well as other forms of art. I've always hated structure in that its monotonous typically and found art in general to be the spontaneity I crave, but I've always been really good at delegating in a structured environment. Basically this industry is something I was made for and I hope to be dominating in 5 years.

Anywhere you like to listen to your music probably! I'll let you know that SoundCloud and YouTube have the majority of my content forsure. But I'm starting to build up my Spotify following as well. But whatever you use just search G.umfvnk .Luckily there's few names even similar to mine so I'm pretty easy to find.

BIO:

Edmundo, or Eddie, as he likes to be called, was born and lived his entire life in El Paso, Texas, until the moment he moved to Lima, to work at the hospital there. The oldest of two siblings, his mother was the person his father had claimed when they were younger, and after a couple of years they got married, and soon after Eddie was born, and then his sister, Mariana. His childhood and teenager years were rather uneventful, except for the moment when he realized he liked girls, and boys the same way, which even if it was a sort of surprise for his family, they never stopped loving and supporting him.

Eddie was always known for being someone always up to help others, in any way he could. After he graduated from high school he thought at first that maybe he would find his calling by becoming a police, like his father, but after taking a couple of months to travel through Central America, he knew where his heart was. He knew what he wanted to become to help people. So he returned home and entered the School of Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas. After all the due time was done he received his degree in General Medicine.

It was a series of several circumstances which made him end up at Lima, Ohio. But if he was being honest, not only was he looking forward to what he believed would be a quiet practice at a small city, if was made even better when he learned that his cousin Javier was actually studying at the Stonewall Prep BDSM school, the most prestigious in the country, located in Ohio. Maybe settling there wasn’t a bad idea after all.

Describe your occupational journey and how you got to where you are.

I assume you’re referring to my chosen profession there. Let’s just say I’ve always known I wanted to do something that meant helping people in any way, and to me, the best way of doing that was to become a doctor. There was a job offer here in Lima, and it felt like the perfect opportunity for someone who’s practically fresh out of Med School.

How would you describe yourself as a Dominant?

Maybe this is question more for Sylvia, my submissive, than me; but I can tell that I consider myself strict but not harsh, or intimidating in any way. I relay my desires and needs to her openly, and we have a relationship based on respect and communication.

How do you feel about authority?
