Dahmer’s behaviour in prison
Jeffrey Dahmer, Stone Philips Interview, 1994
Regarding Dahmer’s behaviour in prison, there are various opinions on why he would act like that. He was known for playing with food, putting ketchup on his meal to resemble body parts; he once placed a sign in his cell “Cannibal Anonymous Meeting”; he taunted scared guards next to him making them jump by whispering “I bite”.
Following the prison staff insight, he was a model inmate, but based on Christopher Scarver’s opinion, “He crossed the line with some people — prisoners, prison staff. Some people who are in prison are repentant — but [Dahmer] was not one of them”.
However it's important to consider Scarver never really had a direct contact with Dahmer, plus he suffered from a severe mental illness, which makes his statement of doubtful authenticity.
The same Gerald Boyle, Jeffrey Dahmer’s defence attorney, stated “Dahmer was such a milquetoast. He would never have done that stuff. He killed people, but he didn't taunt people. I never saw him do anything that would lead me to believe that he would mimic the deaths that he caused. I just don't believe that.”, claiming it wasn’t the serial killer’s “style”.
On the other hand, Roy Ratcliff, the pastor who baptised Dahmer, backed up the topic saying he'd been told by prison guards Dahmer would joke about cannibalism, effectively affirming the serial killer's ambiguous behaviour.

On why of these actions, the theories are three:
Causing outrage to find death: we are aware of Dahmer’s death wish. He claimed multiple times he wanted to be dead, from having suicidal thoughts, to requesting for the death penalty. He was conscious of the risk of his health by being included in the general population, yet, even after people’s recommendations, he chose to be moved anyway. He wasn’t able to commit suicide himself so he provoked people to get what he wanted. Relevant information is also they didn’t find marks on Dahmer’s body, meaning Dahmer didn’t fight back during the attack, accepting his fate. He also said these words no longer before his death to the mother Joyce “It doesn’t matter, Mom. I don’t care if something happens to me”.
His sense of humour: it is known that Dahmer had a particular dark humour. During highschool years Dahmer was known as the clown/mascotte to the students at Revere High School. He staged pranks and he bleated and simulated epileptic seizures or cerebral palsy, which became known as "Doing a Dahmer". Even during interrogation, “He picked up the brown bunch and commented that they held a remarkable resemblance to a person's fingers after they had been immersed in muriatic acid for a while. He placed the banana in his mouth and chewed. "It's not bad."”(cit. Grilling Dahmer). It’s possible he was just spending time as he could.
He had become a shadow of himself: he portrayed himself as THE cannibal in an attempt to attract attention, giving people what they expected from him. He didn’t have real friends, he never had, so he kept this attitude for say “stay away from me”. He toyed with the idea of cannibal quite a bit, because he didn’t trust people. This is the insight Roy Ratcliff gave after he learnt about Jeffrey’s behaviour in prison. Roy became one of the latest and only true friends Jeffrey met.
Roy Ratcliff holding the card Jeffrey Dahmer gave him for thanksgiving
After 28 years, we don’t know why of this behaviour yet, and we will never know. All the theories above are valid, meaning he could’ve acted that way because of a mix of those reasons. Jeffrey Dahmer will find death at Columbia Correctional Institution on 28th November 1994.

WHAT’S IN THE WISCONSIN WATER? (Part 4) - Jeffrey Dahmer “The Milwaukee Cannibal”
Jeffrey Dahmer, known as “the Milwaukee cannibal” was a serial killer who took the lives of 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991.
This is another case that I’m sure we all know of by now, however it is from Wisconsin so I’ve included it in the list.
Over the course of more than 13 years, Dahmer sought out his victims, the majority of which were Black men, at gay bars, malls, and bus stops, lured them home with promises of money or sex, and gave them alcohol laced with drugs before strangling them to death, and doing unspeakable things to the corpses, before dismembering and disposing of them.
He would often keep body parts as souvenirs, and take photos of his victims at various stages of the murder process, so he could recollect each act and relive the experience afterward.
Dahmer was captured in 1991 and sentenced to 16 life sentences. He was killed by fellow prison inmate Christopher Scarver in 1994.

The Milwaukee Cannibal - Jeffrey Dahmer
Jeffrey Dahmer has gotten popular in the last year because of the netflix series that came out about him. The series was called ‘’Dhamer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer story’’ which explained how he killed his 17 victims. Jeffrey started drinking at the age of 14. When he reached puberty he knew he was gay, and at the age of 16 he had his first plan of doing harm to another person. In 1985, he would meet men for sex in a bath house in Wisconsin. Jeffrey's only problem with that was he’d prefer to dehumanize the body, since a living one moved a bit too much. He would drug the men with sedative-laced liquor, which would then become his chosen method to commit rape and eventually murder. The staff at the bathhouse did actually discover what he was doing, but instead of initiating any legal action, they just revoked his membership. From 1987 to 1991 he lured 15 men to his apartment, with offers of money for sex or posing for nude photographs. He would then drug and strangle them before having sex with their corpses. Earlier on in his murdering career, he tried to collect keepsakes of his victims body, but they would often decompose. It wasn't until later in 1989 when he figured out how to retain parts of his victims. The interesting thing about the Dahmer situation was how many times he was almost caught. My question is how was he not caught so early on. Well it is because like Ted Bundy, he knew how to sweet talk and get out of situations. But the amount of times he got away with stuff is almost frightening. For example, in 1988 he was sentenced for molesting a 13 year old, which he somehow managed to argue down to one year work release and five years probation, by pleading that he needed treatment and not punishment. Another was with a 14 year old boy, who was coincidentally the 13 year old’s brother. In 1991 Jeffrey offered the 14 year old money for pictures of him. He agreed and Dahmer took nude photos of the boy before drugging and molesting him. Once unconscious, Jeffrey did things to the body, which I cannot say what he did here. When Dahmer returned to his apartment early in the morning from a bar, the boy was sitting outside naked, bleeding, and surrounded by women who called 911. When police showed up, Jeffrey explained that they were lovers, and that he would usually act disoriented when he drank too much. The officers covered the boy in a towel and walked him back to the apartment of Dahmer. Once inside, the officers noticed the smell of a body Jeffrey had killed 3 days prior, but made no further investigations. They didn't even check ID for both, because if they had they would have learned Dahmer was a registered sex offender. Dahmer knew how to smooth talk, which was why he was out killing for so long. His last encounter, he got really close to convincing the officers it was all a misunderstanding, but when they spotted polaroids of dismembered bodies, they knew something was up and arrested him. In jail he was very unpopular among his fellow inmates, and on the 28th of November 1994, Christopher Scarver was left unsupervised with Dhamer, in which he bludgeoned him with a metal bar. He was rushed to the hospital, but pronounced dead after an hour.

The Story of Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer Part 3
Dahmers killing spree ended when he was arrested on July 22, 1991. The body parts found in Dahmer's refrigerator and Polaroid photographs of his victims became inextricably associated with his notorious killing spree. Two Milwaukee police officers were led to Dahmer when they picked up Tracy Edwards, a 32-year old Black man who was wandering the streets with handcuffs dangling from his wrist. They decided to investigate the man's claims that a " weird dude" had drugged and restrained him. They arrived at Dahmer's apartment, where he calmly offered to get the keys for the handcuffs. Edward claimed that the knife Dahmer had threatened him with with was in the bedroom. When the officer went in to corroborate the story, he noticed Polaroid photographs of dismembered bodies lying around. Dahmer was subdued by the officers, after which he muttered the words, " For what i did, i should be dead." Subsequent searches revealed a head in the refrigerator, three more in the freezer, and a catalog of the other horrors, including preserved skulls, jars containing genitalia, and a extensive gallery of macabre Polaroid photographs of his victim. Dahmer later said he had planned to build a private alter from his victims skulls, adorned with incense sticks, and globe lights. He hoped the alter would be " A place where I could feel at home," according to Dahmer. Dahmer initially pleaded not guilty to all charges, despite having confessed to the killings during the police interrogation. He eventually changed his plea to guilty by virtue of insanity. His defense then offered the gruesome details of his behavior, as proof that only someone insane could commit such terrible acts. The jury choose to believe the prosecution's assertion that Dahmer was fully aware that his acts were evil and chose to commit them anyway. On February 15,1992, they returned after approximately 10 hours' deliberation to find him guilty, but sane, on all counts. He was sentenced to 15 consecutive life terms in prison, with a 16th term tacked on in May. Dahmer reportedly adjusted well to prison life at the Columbia Correctional Institution in south-central Wisconsin, where he was later brutally beaten to death by Fellow inmate Christopher Scarver on November 28,1994.

Happy #MLK Day Weekend!
Meet Christopher Scarver. In November 1994, he single-handedly killed Jeffrey #Dahmer and Jesse Anderson with a metal rod while he was on latrine duty with both of them in the #Wisconsin prison they were housed at. According to Scarver, he killed Dahmer because he creeped him out with his incessant need to depict body parts with his food during mealtimes. His rationale for killing Anderson was that he believed he was a bigot because of his well-publicized false alibi about two Black men attacking him and his wife (who subsequently died of her injuries and which all evidence pointed to her husband, Jesse, as the perpetrator) and his disfigurement of a fellow inmate's portrait of MLK.
Now, I believe there are different types of justices that are meted out on a daily basis, both big and small, to every one of us, eventually, and for whatever level of transgression we may have committed. Some of us might know it's coming and others of us will have no inkling of its timing and trajectory. And #justice isn't necessarily violent or even dramatic; it could just worm its way into someone's life and manifest itself in whatever manner that's appropriate.
In the case of both Dahmer and Anderson, I would argue that at first they met with institutional, due-process, justice. But Christopher Scarver meted out a more karmic and satisfying justice to them because of the annihilating and heinous crimes they committed for their own self-serving needs. They were snuffed out as they had snuffed out their prey and they were awarded no dignity in death in much the same way they disregarded and violated their victims' will to live a life on their own terms.
So I salute Christopher Scarver for his foresight and gumption to do what might not be seen as right, but should certainly be considered just.

In my humble opinion; the real hero in this case wasn’t the cops because they didn’t do sh!t to stop his killing spree sooner. No the real hero was Christopher Scarver. The young black man who put that monster (Jeffrey L. Dahmer) to sleep. I know that it’s pretty bold of me to praise a murderer but he did what any of the families of the seventeen victims would have done to him. Plus that bastard dahmer deserves death anyway so yeah. My deepest sympathy, condolences and prayers are with the victims families. 🙏🏾

Jeffrey Dahmer’s murder crime scene:
The twenty-inch bar that Christopher Scarver used to beat Jeffrey Dahmer to death.
The crime scene photograph of the bathroom of Columbia Correctional Institution where Jeffrey Dahmer was killed.
On the morning of November 28, 1994, Dahmer left his cell with other two inmates to conduct his assigned work detail. At approximately 8:10 a.m. Dahmer was discovered on the floor of the bathrooms of the gym suffering from extreme head wounds: The inmate Christopher Scarver beat him to death hitting him with a bar. His head had also been repeatedly struck against the wall in the assault. Although Dahmer was still alive and was rushed to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead one hour later. Dahmer’s official decease was set shortly after 9 A.M.
