It makes me so happy to see how others have grown into their bodies. There's just something so inherently beautiful about someone's body suiting them, like you can feel their personality through the way they physically show themselves to the world and see how being in the world has shaped them

[ID: Three digital drawings of Curly and Jimmy from Mouthwashing at different ages.
The first two images are comparisons of Curly and Jimmy against their 15-ish years younger selves. Young Curly is slimmer, and has more vibrant hair and skin, and he is wearing a sweater and button-down shirt. Regular Curly is buff, a bit wrinkled, has gray in his hair, and his eyes look tired.
Young Jimmy is slimmer, with longer hair and a patchier beard, and he's wearing a hoodie. Older Jimmy is also graying and his hair is shorter. He also has a scar over his lip, and his expression hasn't changed at all.
The last image is of a gaunt younger Curly sitting on a tattered couch in sweatpants next to Jimmy, who is sitting upside down and mostly out of frame. He has a scruffy beard and his hair in a ponytail, and his eyes are red and tired. He thinks "my couch used to look so nice...." as Jimmy talks indistinctly next to him. end ID]

thinking more about young thems. i think they started living together at some point and it was the worst decision curly had ever made in his life (at that point)

A pair of elderly patients: Part 1 Poochie
Poochie the dog is owned by a family among you dear people. He is over 60 years old, about 7 or 8" tall, and very well loved. He's had repairs before to his shoulders, and he'd been wearing a red dress for years to try to protect his skin from further wear.
His person (his original person) wanted to keep him as close to original as possible, but also wanted to stabilize and reinforce him. Here are his original diagnosis photos, sent by another family member:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm showing larger versions in the hopes that you can see not only his holes, but the runs where his fabric is see through.
Poochie came to the hospital last month for wound repair and supplemental stuffing... just a touch to protect him on the inside. He wasn't getting a spa, he needed to stay as original as possible. And we were keeping old repairs where possible too. Rather, the treatment for Poochie was to stitch wounds, adding fabric under his runs to take the pressure of stitches, and patches where he had holes. Just enough to stabilize him. He wasn't going on adventures with toddlers anymore, but he wanted to feel safe watching over his family. Here's Poochie all better:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's sort of like a kintsugi vase with its visible seams, or an older person, whose wrinkles and gray hairs tell their story. Poochie earned every scar and new seam, but he's huggable and lovable specifically for those patches and seams, which are reminders of all the adventures he's had. And now, he can be hugged again and share his memories (and make new ones) with his family in Washington.

when we were young [levi ackerman]
now playing: when we were young - adele
tags: fluff, old levi reminiscing, established relationship, flashback, canonverse, mentions of violence (non-graphic)
Tumblr media
levi didn’t mind getting old, not really. he didn’t care for the deep smile lines or the wrinkles around his eyes. however, he did mind that he couldn’t pick his wife up and carry her to bed with ease anymore. he especially hated that his knee would still buckle if he didn’t use that bloody cane to get across a room.
levi ackerman, for the first time in his fifty-five years of life, had managed to nick himself while shaving. you stepped into the bathroom to grab something, eyes wide at the stream of blood running down his neck.
“what happened?” you were quick to grab the first-aid kit from the cabinet, eyes panning at him.
“i was just shaving, keep it down.” he rolled his eyes, sitting at the edge of the tub. he unbuttoned his shirt, already stained at the collar, and discarded it on the floor.
you looked down at him with a smile. his muscles were still there, though much less defined. the scars from his youth, long healed, a painful reminder of what he had been through.
you dabbed alcohol on a cotton pad before sitting down on his good leg.
“this is pretty deep, levi.” you muttered. he winced when the alcohol came in touch with the cut on his cheek, his fingers pressing against your waist.
“my hand still shakes sometimes.” he looked down at his three remaining fingers with a sigh. the nerves were all messed up, but he was insistent on using that hand for everything still.
“it’s okay, old man. i’ll shave you from now on.” you chuckled, cleaning up the dried-up blood from his jaw.
“you know what this reminds me of, brat?”
levi’s brows were furrowed, a scowl permanently etched in his features as you tried to make him sit down.
“captain, your face is full of blood.”
“it’s not mine.”
“some of it is yours.”
you weren’t really sure what had happened. it was all so fast. a soldier calling you a slut, you punching him, him slapping you back. that’s when levi had stepped in.
you finally managed to get levi to sit down, opening the first-aid kit beside you on his desk.
“he shouldn’t have slapped you.” was all he muttered before getting up again. you brought your hands to his shoulders, pushing him down with all the force you could muster.
“hey! let someone help you for once.” gray eyes shot up at yours, growing wide when you sat down on his knee to keep him in place. he didn’t utter a single word as you cleaned his face up with a damp towel, not even wincing when you dabbed alcohol against his busted lip.
he realised he didn’t particularly mind your breath fanning against his cheek, or your hair falling in his eyes. he certainly didn’t mind you shuffling on his lap, like you weren’t his soldier and he your captain.
“you’re sitting on me.” he said, more like an acknowledgment. you panicked and tried to get up, but levi’s arms wrapped around your hips. “thanks.”
“for sitting on you?” a smile played on your lips in the dimly-lit office, “captain.” you added, to be safe.
“don’t call me captain like that.”
“like what?”
“you’re making it dirty.”
“what does it remind you of, captain?” you shook levi out of his thoughts. he wrapped his arms further around your waist, pulling you closer. he knew you remembered the same thing.
“almost thirty years later, you’re still cheeky.”
“it never goes away.” you sighed, leaning down to peck his lips.
in his memory, he was lifting you up with one arm to plop you down on the desk and kiss you. in the present, you had to pull him up carefully and hand him his cane.
levi didn’t mind, though. some parts of him still worked just fine.

Part 1: The Awakening
His eyes opened. His sight was free of cataracts, blurriness, nor glaucoma.
His heartbeat was steady and strong. His brain was sharp and ready.
He raised his hands closer to his face. Deep wrinkles and saggy skin were no longer there. Instead, it was replaced by smooth skin and soft lines. He lied if he said he wasn't impressed.
The constant beeping noise coming from his many machines distracted him. He remembered it being so faint he could barely hear it. Has it always been this loud?
"Prof. Jeon, are you okay?" A man in his 40s rushed to his side.
The man called Prof. Jeon could've sworn he knew the voice of his assistant, but now he wasn't so sure. Has his voice always been this high pitched? And what was up with his assistant's graying unruly hair? Did he get here without brushing his hair?
"I'm fine," Prof. Jeon answered. His voice was strong and clear. No signs of aging.
Prof. Jeon broke into a huge grin before letting out a laugh. He did it. He was now stronger and better. Younger.
Prof. Jeon swung his leg to the side of the bed and sat up. The feeling of rushing blood to his brain was no longer there. And as he stood up, he didn’t need support nor walking canes. His body was perfect.
"Jinho, stop that." Prof. Jeon whacked away his assistant's hands that hovered around his torso, ready to catch him if he fell.
Not too far from where he stood, the shell of his old self laid perfectly still. Wrinkles and saggy skin decorated the body throughout. Grayed thinning hair brushed and gelled to absolute perfection, just like how he liked it. He might be over 80 years old, but fashion lived forever.
Prof. Jeon walked towards his old body. The body that resembled his late father. He shuddered with fear at the uncanny similarities. He was grateful for finally succeeding in defying what was once inevitable.
"Jinho, get rid of the body."
His eyes narrowed at the walking cane beside the body. The same cane that his late son had bought him years ago. And he didn't get the chance to revive him as his project hadn't been finished yet. He gritted his teeth as his mind wandered to his son.
He should've saved him, his research shouldn't have taken too long to finish. It shouldn't have taken 50 years. His son should've still been alive. He had failed. He was a failure before. Now he succeeded. He no longer had to bend to the physical boundaries of his body. He was now beyond biology, beyond weakness. And Y/n, his lovely wife, had to know first.
With eyes still on the cane, he ordered Jinho, "Make a glass box to preserve this cane. I'm going to see Y/n."
"You can't!" Jinho grabbed Prof. Jeon's arm. "We still need to run checks and see if you're okay."
Prof. Jeon frowned and shrugged off Jinho's hand. "I'm fine."
"Remember what happened to the kitten. We can't let that happen again."
Prof. Jeon's mind flashed to his previous test subject, a stray cat he found one day on his way home. The poor cat went deranged and ate everything in vicinity, including Prof. Jeon's calf that still had the scar and the limp.
"Fine," Prof. Jeon finally said. "How long should we wait?"
"We can run the medical checks now. I think we'll need to wait about a week or so, just to make sure."
"No. One day. I'm visiting Y/n tomorrow. She's already waiting for me."
Jinho let out an exasperated sigh. "Five."
"Two."
"Three."
"Fine. Three it is."
Part 2: The Encounter
Y/n was the top student in her class in university. And just like any other top students, everyone knew her, including Jungkook.
Jungkook was second to her in everything. In class, outside of class, in extracurricular activities, Y/n was the best and shadowed him. Despite that, he didn't resent her. Instead, he was fascinated.
He would follow her everywhere. If Y/n joined the volley club, then he was in it. If Y/n was in the theater club, then Jungkook would join. But during all of those many close encounters, not even once had Y/n spoken to him. It was as if he was invisible to Y/n. Until an opportunity struck that left Jungkook no choice.
“So, are you sure you want to run with Y/n?” asked the theater club's current president. He was a typical jock with dyed blonde hair and cocky smile. A smile that Jungkook had initially underestimated. After all, it was weird for a jock to be joining a theater club, but it was weirder when said jock became the club’s president.
“Can’t I?”
“You can. But you never talk to her, don’t you?”
“Yeah. Is that a problem?”
“Well, no. But we still don’t know whether Y/n and you would be a good match to run as president and vice president next.”
Jungkook had to change his strategy. “Then, do you have someone in mind that might be a better candidate to run as her vice?”
“I do.”
“Say the name,” Jungkook asked through his gritted teeth.
“Park Seyeon.”
Jungkook bursted a laugh. “Her? She’s too soft spoken!”
“Y/n and Seyeon have been working together on multiple projects and they smash them. I mean, weren’t you like in one of their projects?”
Jungkook bitterly snorted. “As a tree.”
“See. You don’t have enough experience to be a vice president.” The president leaned forward and whispered, “And I don’t think you have the talent, unlike Y/n.”
As if Jungkook was possessed by a demon, his eyes saw red and he growled, “You make it work or else.”
Needless to say, weeks later Y/n and Jungkook were announced as the next president and vice president for the following year.
Part 3: The Visit
The hospital floor was still wet, a warning sign was put in the middle to ward people off the way, but Professor Jeon didn’t care. He had been a long-time financial donor of the hospital for all he knew.
Y/n's room was located at the top most floor of the hospital. It was secluded yet luxurious complete with its own elevator which kind of reminded him of their own penthouse. Prof. Jeon had smiled in satisfaction when he knew his lovely wife would be put in the best room the hospital had.
Inside the room, it looked much like a hotel. It had everything a person would want. A kitchen; a living room; two bedrooms, one for the patient and the other for the family. There was even a bathtub in one of the two bathrooms. It was as if the patient and their family were on vacation instead of being in a hospital.
Upon seeing crumpled paper on the coffee table in the living room, Prof. Jeon made a mental note to ask the cleaning service to clean the room.
"Y/n? Are you up?" he said after knocking on the master bedroom.
"Yes. Come on in." The familiar weak voice of Y/n's could be heard.
He knew Y/n didn't have much time. She was getting weaker and weaker and he had to act fast. So he opened the door.
The first thing Prof. Jeon noticed was Y/n's wide-eyes when she realized what she saw.
After what felt like eternity, Y/n finally asked, "Jungkook?"
Jeon Jungkook broke into a grin. He knew his wife would recognize him. After all, he looked like the Jungkook Y/n loved the most, mid to late 20s Jungkook.
"It's me. I did it." Jungkook walked to the side of the bed and held her wrinkly hand. He took note that she couldn't grip his hand back. She was running out of time. "I'm sorry I took so long."
"I thought it failed."
"Well, I fixed it. I perfected it. It won't fail again," Jungkook reassured mostly to himself.
A smile broke in Y/n face. The same smile Jungkook fell in love with. "You're always smart like that."
"Because of you." Then he traced with his eyes the oxygen tube that was running from her nostrils to the oxygen tank behind the bed. "How have you felt these past few days? I'm sorry I couldn't come straight after the transfer was done. Jinho didn't let me."
"I'm fine. The nurses are kind. Some are new, though." Knowing Jungkook too well, Y/n continued, "Did you do something about it?"
Thinking it would be better to lie, he shook his head. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Weird," Y/n mumbled to herself.
Jungkook shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe the old ones were fired. But that's not important. What's important is, you can finally go home!"
This was the second time Y/n's eyes widened in surprise.
"Really? How? I'm still far from cured, though."
Then Jungkook broke the news to her. "I want to transfer you, too. Do you trust me?"
The smile on Y/n's face faltered. "I don't want that, babe. I just want to die peacefully."
Unknowingly, Jungkook's grip on Y/n tightened to the point Y/n grimaced.
"Sorry." Jungkook let go of her. His hand gripped the bed railing instead. "But I can't let that happen."
"Why?"
Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows. What could Y/n possibly mean by 'why'? Couldn't she see that he was trying to save her? All of this he did for her, including the sacrifice of the cat.
"What do you mean? Don't want to be with me?"
"Of course I do. But we've had more than 50 years together. I'd rather reminisce about our moments together."
"We can do that in our new bodies!"
Y/n sighed. "True. But I still don't think it's fair."
"What?"
"It feels like you're playing God, you know. Your technology is still too early to be used frequently on humans."
"I'm not going to use this frequently. Just twice. Me, and now you."
"Jungkook." Y/n's voice was weaker than usual. Probably from being too tired to argue with him.
"Please." He became desperate. He didn't want to hear Y/n's last time calling his name. "Let me try. Then I'll let you go."
Quiet followed. It was so thick Jungkook didn't dare to cut it. He knew the gears in Y/n's brain were working harder than usual just for him. For them.
"I-" Y/n hesitated.
"Do it for us?" Jungkook pleaded.
"For us."
Part 4: The Interaction
One thing Jungkook noticed right away when he became the vice president was that being the vice president didn't mean he had a free pass to talk to Y/n as much as he liked. Y/n was still herself. Busy studying, socializing, going to the gym, then studying again, socializing again, going to the gym again, before taking care of the club she led. Her time was divided between many activities that Jungkook didn't even get the chance to casually talk to her.
And when she was organizing the club, Jungkook still couldn't catch a break with her. Jungkook always had to arrange the club's next project, take care of the new members, make plans for the next meeting, and so on.
"Jungkook," Y/n stopped him just as he was about to go print the timetable he had made. Jungkook really hoped the next words she said consisted of something along the lines of 'let's talk' or 'let's hang out' or 'are you doing okay?' But what came out was just like anything he had gotten too used to hearing. "Can you help the new members with our new play? The performance is getting closer and I don't think they're anywhere finished. Seyeon already did everything and she thought maybe you can help her."
That was the thing about Y/n that Jungkook just couldn't wrap his head around. Why did it seem like she was adamant of making him work as far as possible from her? He was sure he had already taken a bath and put on his best fit. He had also sprayed his most expensive perfume on. He even put on his damned glasses that he hated so much just because he knew you liked smart guys. But of course Jungkook wasn't raised to give up so easily.
"What if we help her together? I think if the three of us work together, it will be faster," he finally said.
Y/n tapped the pen she was holding to her chin before shrugging and nodding. "Yeah, why not. I'm actually working on a project proposal, but I'm stuck anyway.
Upon hearing Y/n's agreement, Jungkook held in his smile. Now he just needed to find a way to get rid of Seyeon and they could finally work together for the first time ever.
Lucky for him, not even 10 minutes into the three of them working together, Seyeon had to go to a class that she had completely forgotten. Jungkook just couldn't suppress a smile forming on his lips. Maybe lady luck was on his side today.
That same day, Jungkook got to tick off a lot on his wishlist. He got a smile from Y/n, got to hold Y/n's hand, got close enough to smell Y/n's aquatic smell of perfume, and even got a compliment from Y/n just after the practice ended.
"Hey, Jungkook," Y/n called. "Nice glasses you have."
Part 5: The Beginning
"We can't let Mrs. Jeon home just yet. Her condition is still unstable." The doctor snaked his stethoscope around his neck after checking on Y/n. "And, do you happen to know why Prof. Jeon is not coming today?"
Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows. "Why? He's resting at home. Am I not enough? I'm her grandson." The lie slipped out of his lips like he had practiced it.
The doctor looked taken aback by Jungkook's defensive stance. "It's fine. But usually, Prof. Jeon himself takes care of this."
"Well, now I'm the one taking care of my mom. Is it wrong?"
The doctor pursed his lips before answering, "Nope. Of course not."
"I thought so. And I still want to bring her home."
"Sir, her condition is unstable. You can't-"
"I can. What do I need to sign?"
"Sir-" the doctor tried to persuade Jungkook again, but what really made him stop was the abrupt grasp on his arm.
Jungkook turned to Y/n who held his arm. It came as a surprise to see her holding something after days of her not being able to. But Jungkook had something else at hand. "Y/n- mom, what's wrong?"
"Let's just talk about it first. Just the two of us," Y/n answered.
"We already did that, didn't we?"
"But the doctor says-"
"The doctor is not a professor, unlike I am- I mean, dad. He doesn't know what he's talking about."
"Don't you maybe want to listen to his explanation?"
"He did enough already."
The grip Y/n's had on Jungkook loosened before she finally let go of his hand. "Okay, then. Let's go home."
'Home' was not actually the home Y/n had imagined it to be. Jungkook knew that, but they had no time to be exploring their actual home.
"Why are we in your lab?" Y/n asked as Jungkook stuck some electrodes on her head. Jungkook already laid her down on the mattress right after they entered the lab.
"We should start uploading your mind to the computer."
"Will it hurt?"
Jungkook shook his head. "This is just to make sure that everything on your mind is uploaded right to the last seconds before your death. It doesn't hurt and that doesn't mean you'll pass away once we initiate the upload. You can live a somewhat normal life."
"That can't wait until I see our penthouse?"
"I'm afraid not."
Y/n pouted in response. The same pout that Jungkook had always thought cute. He couldn't help but to peck her lips.
"It'll be over soon and we'll be together forever," Jungkook reassured. "If you feel tired, you can sleep. I'll always be here."
Jungkook went over to Jinho who was tapping away on one of the screens. "Start now."
"Prof, are you sure this is safe? We don't do two transfers in a month. I'm afraid what happened to the cat will happen again."
Jungkook dismissed him with a wave of his hand. "It's fine. I know what we did wrong with the cat. It won't happen again. Go."
Jinho exhaled before doing what Jungkook had told him to do.
The machine whirred awake in response to Jinho's touch, the same sound that both Jungkook and Jinho had gotten used to. The sound of their hopes and dreams, which was not just theirs but also the entire humanity's.
Jungkook waited out until the machine's loud whirs turned into a low stable hum before walking back to where his wife laid down. He brushed some strands of white hair away from Y/n's forehead. "This doesn't feel so much different from the hospital, right? The main difference is just that the bed is so much nicer here."
Y/n chuckled. "Yes. You're always meticulous when it comes to comfort."
"I know,” Jungkook said proudly. “Now, what do you want to eat?”
Part 6: The Date
Jungkook would still call it a date even if Y/n kept insisting that it was just a favor. It indeed started as a favor, but it quickly snowballed into an adventure slash mission slash objective that they had to do together, just the two of them, just like a date.
It started out funny, as per Jungkook’s standards. One night, he was just in front of the TV as usual, mindlessly hearing the loud obnoxious sound of the TV as his hands scrolled on his phone, looking for some content on social media that could stimulate his brain. But of course nothing was as exciting as a notification from Y/n.
Jungkook? Are you still up?
Jungkook sat up straight from slouching on the couch. I'm up. Why?
Three small dots appeared on the screen. Jungkook waited what seemed like forever until the three dots were replaced by Y/n's text. Can you help me?
With what?
I just realized my book is missing. Did you see where I put my notebook during the club's meeting? I think I left it in the theater club's room, but I'm not sure.
The first long text from Y/n and Jungkook's mind already wandered to a few hours ago when they were still practicing. There was only one way to find out. I'll pick you up in 10, we'll check the room ourselves.
And that was how they ended up in the dark inside their campus.
“Isn't this considered trespassing?” Y/n whispered loud enough for Jungkook to hear her. The moon shone brightly on their faces, magnifying the worry evident on her face.
Jungkook was walking two or three steps in front of her. His steps were sure and definitive from how frequent he already did this. But that was an information he intended to keep until at least they were close enough to be sharing each other's secret.
“Relax. The security doesn’t usually go this far. They only do rounds near the gates. Talk about cowards,” Jungkook said in a mocking tone.
"But we're not supposed to be on campus in the middle of the night. What if we get caught?"
"We won't." He really wanted to tell Y/n about how often he did this, but his faith in delayed gratification was bigger. "We'll just go grab your book and leave. Now come." Jungkook walked towards the theater club's room, the place where the club did their meetings.
"Jungkook, I don't think we should." Y/n's voice was small and unsure.
Having enough of her uncertainty, Jungkook grabbed Y/n's hand, feeling her smooth slender fingers on his hand, before pulling her to come with him.
"Jungkook!" Y/n half-yelled in surprise.
"We need to be quick," was the only thing he said as he opened the door to the theater club's room. "Now, where's your book?"
As Jungkook asked her, Y/n already entered the room and was on her way to a bookshelf opposite of the door. From the doorstep, Jungkook only watched how Y/n long legs carried her, steps swift and glided smoothly. Her hair flowed with each movement, the humidity did nothing to ruin her silky hair. Her hands moved gracefully like every move had been calculated.
She swiftly grabbed the book and said, "Let's go. I don't want to be here any longer."
Despite Y/n kept saying she didn't want to sneak into campus at night, Jungkook could see the twinkle in her eyes as she looked at him. The twinkle of someone who never experienced an adrenaline rush. The twinkle of someone who finally got a taste of adrenaline rush and became drunk on it.
Jungkook smirked. "Let's go. I'll take you to more adventures in the future."
Part 7: The Memory
The room felt colder than usual as if the air conditioning had been working overtime even though Jungkook had already put it on its lowest setting. The weather was indeed cooling down as the season slowly transitioned into winter. Y/n's hands in Jungkook's grasp were equally as cold.
Y/n had complained that she was freezing, saying, "You should turn on the heater, babe."
But Jungkook had refused, "No. The computers are already generating heat, if I turn on the heater, the room will be boiling hot."
It was an exaggeration from Jungkook's part, but it was true that all the whirrings, the clackings, and the hummings of the machines produced enough heat to warm the room. It was only Y/n's fragile and weak body that was screaming cold. And that was how Jungkook initiatively sat beside Y/n and grasped her hands in his.
Out of nowhere, Y/n chuckled. “Not going to lie, this kind of reminds me of the time when you asked me out. Do you still remember?”
Jungkook’s mind wandered to the moment they were huddled exactly like what they did now. With their hands clasped together and them sitting close to each other, trying to absorb the warmth from the other.
That time they were in the middle of nowhere, in a forest God only knew who owned the land, for a reason that still couldn’t be comprehended until now. According to Y/n, it was a yearly activity for team building since they were going to have to work together for at least the following year.
“We were camping!” Y/n said. “And you were grumpy.”
Jungkook shrugged, his hand hovered over the electrode on Y/n’s head. He hoped all the memories they had made together would all be uploaded on the computer with nothing left out. He wouldn’t want to talk to an empty body after all. The uploading must be successful, if not- Well, he had no space for errors. He had to succeed.
“I still think it’s stupid. But I have to admit that I owe Seyeon from that moment onwards,” Jungkook answered.
Y/n laughed. “You still feel that?”
“Of course! She gave me a reason to get close to you and ask you out.”
“I guess that’s true. She somehow had forgotten to bring some warm clothes.”
“And you-” Jungkook booped Y/n’s nose. “-had to be the angel you always were and lend yours to her.”
“What do you expect me to do?! I can’t let her freeze to death.” Y/n then grimaced. “Sorry. I forgot for a moment that she died a couple years ago from hypothermia.”
“Yes, you can’t let her freeze. And I can’t let you freeze.”
“So you hugged me the rest of the night.” Y/n laughed before coughing.
“And asked you out. I thought, we were already that close, why don’t we just be a thing, right?”
“I thought so, too! That’s why I said yes without even thinking.”
Jungkook cackled. “We literally are made for each other.”
“We are.” Y/n leaned her head on Jungkook’s shoulder and closed her eyes in content.
Part 8: The Kiss
To be quite honest, Jungkook didn't care about congratulatory dinners and this one was no exception. But the sparkle in Y/n's eyes when she realized the club had enough funds for a get-together made it hard for Jungkook to resist.
"We should celebrate because next week the club will have a new president and vice president," Y/n said. "And also, we should celebrate this year's success."
The rest of the club cheered, including Seyeon who stood on the left side of Y/n. It was safe to say that Seyeon became some sort of Y/n's confidant for the last year she was president. Jungkook didn't mind though, because at the end of the day, it was him who Y/n ran to.
"What should we do? Should we go camping again?" a boy said. In which Jungkook, who stood on the right side of Y/n, responded by rolling his eyes.
"No more camping," he answered.
"What about we go to the beach?" another suggested.
On the corner of his eyes, Jungkook could see that Y/n was tilting her head to the side, indicating she was mulling over it. "We can. But I was thinking of something not related to nature. Something accessible to all of us."
The room suddenly roared as some suggestions such as 'arcade', 'carnival', 'movies' were thrown into the air. Jungkook couldn't deny that he was interested in the last one.
"The movies," Jungkook whispered to Y/n.
Y/n nodded in acknowledgement. "I think so, too."
"Guys," Y/n spoke out loud. The room fell silent. "What if we go to the movies? I think I heard some of you guys want to go to the movies."
A series of cheers and 'yeah's could be heard.
"When though?" a girl whose name Jungkook didn't know asked.
"What about this weekend? For those who can't come, we'll send hampers. That way, it'll be fair for everyone," Y/n suggested.
Jungkook felt like his head could float anytime as he heard Y/n leading the club. Y/n was such a natural leader and he cherished every moment he could see her in action. No doubt the members also felt the same. Felt the adoration and belonging in the group since Y/n always put the group first before herself. Never left out a member for whatever reason. And Jungkook was the luckiest man to be able to call Y/n his.
"Jungkook." Y/n's familiar voice woke Jungkook from his daydream.
"Yeah?" Jungkook's eyes focused on Y/n's.
"Can you come? Seyeon wants to list those who can and can't come."
"Of course I'll come. Do you need a ride? I can pick you up."
"I'm thinking of going with Seyeon."
Jungkook almost missed the wink and the smirk on Y/n's face, indicating she was just testing his response. He decided to play along.
Jungkook frowned. The corner of his lips were turned downwards. “Why?”
Y/n laughed. “No reason. I just want to hang out with my best friend.”
“You can do that anytime.”
“You know I can’t. We always go out together on weekends.” Amusement was evident on her face.
Then an idea popped into his head. “How about you go there with me, but then you sit through the whole movie with her? Or vice versa?”
“You know you will sit on my other side no matter what. I’ll go there with Seyeon, then on the way home, I’ll go with you.”
“Deal.”
Y/n shook her head in disbelief. “Why are you so adamant on me going with you?”
Jungkook winked. “You’ll see.”
Weekend came faster than Jungkook had anticipated. He wasn’t one to like weekends, because it usually meant Y/n was too busy with her family or friends to go out with him. But this weekend was different, the theater club was hanging out and Jungkook wasn’t excluded. It was safe to say he had high hopes for this weekend. He just needed to find the right timing.
Throughout the entire movie, Jungkook couldn't focus. Y/n today absolutely looked stunning, like she was dressing to impress and Jungkook was her target. If that was indeed her goal, Jungkook had to admit she was successful. So Jungkook did what he had so long refrained from doing.
In a very casual way, or at least he was trying to, Jungkook pretended to stretch his left arm out across Y/n's seat and landed it on her backrest. His slender fingers twirled on Y/n's stray hair.
Seemingly feeling something, or rather someone, had touched her hair, Y/n whacked her hand around her neck which in turn smacked on Jungkook’s hand. Lucky him, the sound of the movie was loud enough to drown the sound of their hands smacking against each other. Jungkook pulled his hand from around Y/n’s shoulder.
“Jungkook!” Y/n hissed. “Stop it.”
“I’m bored. Let’s do something else.”
“No. Stay put.”
“No. Let’s go. I have something cool to show you. I’ll walk out in a bit, and you follow me next.”
“Why should I?”
“Just do it. Tell Seyeon you’re not feeling good or something.”
"What? No!" Y/n pushed lightly on Jungkook's arm. "Just go. I'll make an excuse."
Outside of the theater building, Jungkook leaned on a pillar with his jacket in one hand and his car key in the other. He eyed the couple walking into the building, the boy's arm slung comfortably around the girl's shoulder, quite similar to what Jungkook was trying to do just moments ago.
"Okay. What now?" Y/n's voice made him avert his gaze away from them and towards his own girlfriend.
Jungkook reached for Y/n's hand and linked their hands together. "Let's go inside my car."
"Why?" Y/n raised an eyebrow. "You've been super suspicious today. I don't want to do something we'll regret."
"You won't regret it, I promise." Jungkook began to pull on Y/n's hand which made her reluctantly follow him.
"What is it, then?" Y/n closed the car door once she was seated inside.
Without needing to answer with words, Jungkook leaned in and touched Y/n's lips with his own.
Y/n's lips were much softer than Jungkook had imagined. He thought it would feel more like a cushion, but instead it was closer to a marshmallow. Plump but soft with a hint of strawberry flavor from her lip balm.
At first Y/n was taken aback. Her eyes wide and lips parted, unmoving. Her eyes met with his awkwardly which made him take a hold of her hand and squeezed it gently, signaling her to not be nervous. Telling her wordlessly to enjoy it.
Y/n slowly closed her eyes and relaxed her muscles. Her lips started to move in response to his, dancing unchoreographed moves.
Despite the lack of experience, a sense of longing and wanting washed over Jungkook. He didn't want to stop. He wanted time to stay still. But of course that didn't happen.
Y/n pulled slowly from the kiss, a string of saliva connecting their lips for a slight moment.
With hazy eyes, Y/n said breathlessly, "So that's what you want to show me."
Jungkook nodded. The feel of Y/n's lips still lingered on his. "I've been wanting to do that with you for the longest time." Jungkook touched his lips where Y/n's were just seconds ago, his lips slightly numb from the kiss. "It feels better than what I imagined."
Y/n hummed and leaned back on her seat. Her eyes closed, as if she was trying to preserve the moment and the feeling.
Jungkook couldn't deny that Y/n looked absolutely irresistible. Her half up hair showed a bit of her neck, the collar of her shirt low enough for him to catch a glimpse of her chest. Y/n wore a different perfume that Jungkook liked even more, one that smelled floral instead of the aquatic one that Y/n often wore. He was definitely sure Y/n was trying to impress her.
And as easy as that, he blurted out, "I love you."
For a split moment, he thought Y/n didn't hear him. Maybe she had already fallen asleep, maybe she was too deep in her own thoughts. But then, Y/n opened her mouth. As faint as the sound of the night wind, but clearer than the sky on a sunny day, he could hear her say, "I love you, too."
Part 9: The Desperation
The past few days had been hard on Jungkook, and he could bet all his fortunes that it was significantly harder for Y/n. Y/n’s condition had deteriorated far worse in the last couple of days compared to all the years she spent in and out of the hospital. Her condition fluctuated so rapidly that it was hard for Jungkook to be sure when she was okay and when she was almost literally on her deathbed.
One day, Y/n still could sit up on her bed, of course with the help of Jungkook, and also Jinho sometimes. But the next day, Y/n screamed and trashed on her bed, hand gripped on Jungkook's arm for dear life, it looked like the grim reaper himself was sucking her life out of her.
Some days Y/n could ramble on and on about her hobby of acting, about how she still had a lot to experience in life, about how she hoped she could be cured and go on adventures again with Jungkook. Some days she couldn't even recognize him, claiming that he was too young to be her husband, saying that he could be her grandson with how young he was, then proceeding to cry because she had lost his son too early.
One day Y/n still could joke around with Jungkook and Jinho and the next she was unresponsive, not even when Jungkook pinched her so hard it left a bluish bruise on her arm. And with each passing day, as her condition got more and more unstable, Jungkook grew more and more desperate. It felt like any day could be her last day. So on one of the good days, Jungkook pulled Jinho outside the lab to have a chat.
"I think we need to start the transfer," Jungkook blurted out.
"What? Why? You know what should happen before that, right?"
Jungkook nodded. "I've calculated everything. Today her condition is a bit better, I think I can coerce her into agreeing to this."
Jinho's eyes went wide. "But it'll cost her life!"
"That'll be moved to her new body," Jungkook pointed out.
It felt like a year when it actually was just a few seconds before Jinho said, "I'll go prepare her new body. You can start the euthanasia once she's ready."
Upon hearing Jinho's answer, Jungkook walked back into the lab and went straight to Y/n. Just like during all of her good days, she usually just sat in front of the TV and watched any movie Jungkook deemed good to watch. She probably would want to be able to pick her own movies to watch, but lately her fingers were too stiff to be able to operate the remote control and ended up let Jungkook help her with whatever she needed.
Jungkook took a seat beside Y/n and brushed his hand through her white hair. "Baby, I want to talk about something." He reached for the remote and paused the movie.
"What is it?" Y/n's eyes focused on him.
Jungkook decided to drop the bomb although how she looked at him made his heart quench. "Your health has been getting worse and worse, I think we need to start the mind-transfer."
Y/n nodded. "Just do whatever you need to do. I trust you."
"Really?"
"I trust you. I have to admit I don't understand anything about your technology and I'm kind of scared, but I trust you." Y/n took Jungkook's hand and held it on her lap.
"Y/n."
"Yes?"
Jungkook's vision blurred from his own tears. "I love you so much you have no idea."
"Why are you crying?" Y/n, always sweet as ever, wiped his tears with the pad of her thumb. Her movement wasn't precise, she almost poked him in the eye, but at least she caught some tears. "I love you, too."
"I just can't imagine how much you are in pain right now. I'll do everything I can to make you feel better."
"I know."
"But I'll have to perform euthanasia on you. Only after that I can transfer your soul and mind to your new body."
"It's okay. How long will the process be?"
"I-"
Jinho cut him off. "After the euthanasia, your mind will be transferred right away. The process took less than 12 hours last time."
"It'll feel like you're falling asleep. Zero pain," Jungkook added.
"I'll go get the machine started. The medicine is ready." Jinho walked back to his workstation behind the many computers.
"Let's go back to your bed, shall we?" Jungkook helped Y/n stand up from the couch.
Once Y/n laid down on the bed, Jungkook made sure she was feeling comfortable.
"How are you feeling?" Jungkook grasped her hand in his.
"Nervous."
Jungkook turned his head towards Jinho. "Vitals?"
"All good. Only the heartbeat is slowing down from the last few days, but we'll make it work."
Jungkook looked back at his lover. "You'll be fine. We'll be just like we were during our youth."
A small smile creeped up on her face. "Yeah. Let's meet again in a better condition."
Jungkook pecked Y/n one last time on her old body. "Of course. See you."
"See you."
With that, Jungkook released the medicine straight into her IV bag, waiting for it to slowly enter her bloodstream.
"This should work," Jungkook mumbled to himself as he saw Y/n slowly closing her eyes and falling to her eternal sleep.
Part 10: The Fight
It was a very nice place. It cost Jungkook a lot of his fortune just to book a table for two. The ambient light played with the shimmer on Y/n's dark blue dress, making it sparkle like ripples on a deep lake during a full moon. Jazz music was played by a band on the small stage in the middle of the restaurant. It was perfect.
"How did you know this place anyways?" Y/n's asked, her hands busy with the cutleries to cut her steak.
Jungkook shrugged. He tried to be nonchalant, hiding the fact that he was actively looking for a luxurious restaurant just days ago. "Saw the ads on social media."
"I bet it's very expensive."
His wallet felt bulkier in his pocket. "Yeah, but I'd do anything to make you happy."
Y/n gleefully smiled. "I know. Thanks a lot for this. Work has been stressing me out these days."
"Oh, yeah?"
Y/n nodded, her eyes sparkled under the dim light. "You can't believe it when I say some of our samples got leaked. Luckily the samples aren't dangerous, but we still needed to take precautions." She continued with her rambles of what steps she took to fix the problem, seemingly already having forgotten about the steak in front of her.
Jungkook knew secondhand how hard it was for Y/n to build her own career. Although she was one of the smartest people he knew, it was a well known fact that the bioengineering field was a competitive one. And Y/n wasn't susceptible.
She ended up working for a local branch of a big multimillion company as an intern. The pay wasn't big, it was barely enough for her daily necessities with all luxury left behind. Meanwhile, Jungkook had found himself working as his own father's right hand. Although his father's company wasn't as big, his position made him get paid significantly more than Y/n.
Jungkook had said one day, "Just quit your job. I can provide for you."
But Y/n had been stubborn as she always was. "It's Syntegra. A company where people can only dream of working at. I'm not going anywhere."
Luckily, she had been right with her choice. Her perseverance and determination soon paid off as she climbed up the corporate ladder. Her 1-year internship ended with her finally being hired as a full-time staff member. And after that, her career only soared higher and higher.
Y/n became a supervisor after working full-time for 6 months and became a manager after another 6. Not long after, the position for branch manager opened up as the old one retired. It was wise to pick Y/n to take over the spot. And of course as the branch manager, the highest position in said local branch, she had responsibilities beyond her own experience.
It was an understatement to say that Jungkook was proud of her. After all, Jungkook had seen secondhand Y/n working long hours even before she got accepted as a full-time staff member. He had seen Y/n sacrificing her free time, even her weekends, to continue her studies since branch managers at Syntegra needed to have a master's degree. But it also wasn't hard to deny that Jungkook missed her. He missed the sleepless nights they spent together. He missed going to the movies together. He missed having dinner together. He had hoped that tonight would finally be different. That tonight they could focus on them. But Jungkook could only hope.
"Shoot!" Y/n's profanity woke Jungkook from his daydream. Y/n typed rapidly to her phone which dinged endlessly.
Jungkook noticed the lines on Y/n's forehead. Something wrong must have happened. "What's wrong?"
"I need to get back to the office," Y/n replied without ever looking up from her phone.
"It's Sunday. Tomorrow morning you'll be there."
"Yes. I know. But apparently there's a virus that attacked one of the servers and messed up our systems."
Jungkook cringed. "That sounds bad."
"It is." Y/n finally looked up from her phone. With pleading eyes, she continued, "Can you please drop me off at Syntegra?"
Jungkook felt his heart sink. He couldn't believe his ears. He didn't want to accept that his date had to end so soon. He didn't even get to finish his steak!
Just as he was about to refuse her, another emotion bubbled inside him. It was hot, it made him sweat in the cold air conditioned room. It was dizzying, making him unable to think straight. But above all, it was intense. A force to be reckoned with.
And amidst that bubbling emotion, he said something he would regret. "You have no time for me anymore."
Y/n dropped her shoulders as she stared at Jungkook pleadingly. "Please, I don't have time for this. If you can't drop me there, I can go there myself."
As she was about to stand up from her seat, Jungkook reached out and grabbed her hand, ultimately stopping her from walking off. "I'll go pay, you wait outside." If he wanted to let his ego win, he had to find the perfect timing.
The entire car ride to Syntegra was only filled with deafening silence. Jungkook didn't dare to speak a single word as Y/n emitting an intimidating aura. From the corner of his eyes, he could see Y/n was clutching her purse. Her face tense and jaw clenched. Her eyes stared at the road ahead, but made no comment even when someone was jaywalking in front of the car. And when the car pulled up in front of the main entrance, Y/n only stepped off silently.
Y/n was about to slam the car door shut when Jungkook dared himself to speak. "Baby, I'll wait here, yeah? Take your time."
He could bet all of his fortunes that he saw Y/n pull a tight smile before closing the door.
It was only an hour later that Y/n came back to the car. Her sparkly dress was replaced by a t-shirt and her heels by a flip flop. Jungkook was about to make a comment about that when Y/n beat him to it. "I have spare clothes and sandals for these types of occasions."
Y/n turned her body facing Jungkook. "So you were saying at the restaurant? That I have no time for you anymore?" Her tone stern as if she was talking to her subordinate or a child instead of her boyfriend.
Honestly speaking, Jungkook himself had already forgotten about that. His mind was still fixated on the TikTok video he just watched right before Y/n stepped into the car.
"You should think yourself lucky that you're born with a silver spoon in your mouth. No need to worry about making money or career for yourself," Y/n rambled even when Jungkook just quietly started the car engine and drove out the building.
Jungkook couldn't lie that Y/n's rambles eventually got to him. "Out of all the weekends and the holidays we could've spent together, you instead preferred to be stuck at work. I've prepared countless dates and dinners and vacations, yet all of them fell through. We didn't even get to fully enjoy today's dinner!"
"Oh, yeah? This is exactly what I mean. You never have to worry about bills and rent. Never have to think about saving for the future. You already have everything! The least you can do is let me be."
"I can provide you!" Jungkook realized he just half-yelled to the girl he loved. "I was meaning to take our relationship to the next stage. But of course, your work always gets in the way."
"Arrgh," Y/n yelled. "I don't want to just rely on you! Why don't you get it? Sure it's easy to just let you pay for everything. But does that make me feel any better? No!"
Jungkook snorted. "You and your ego. You should maybe sort that out instead of your money situation."
"And you with your savior complex. You know what? Let's take a break. I don't want this anymore." Y/n clutched her purse. "Drop me off here."
"Are you crazy?" Jungkook didn't slow down the car. "We're in the middle of the road! I'm dropping you home. And then you should think about your decision."
The rest of the car ride felt freezing cold. But true to his words, Jungkook dropped Y/n off at her house. Wordlessly, Y/n stepped out of the car and slammed the door shut without taking a glance both at the car and him. Jungkook watched and waited as Y/n stormed inside her house. And once he was sure she was already safe inside her house, he left. Maybe this was for the best, but honestly speaking, his chest tightened and tears threatened to fall.

More games where character creation is just the beginning of the character's appearance please.
More games where your adventures give you scars, wrinkles, gray hairs, bizarre magical tattoos, eyes that shine in the dark with the force of the curse upon you, patches of scales where you were splashed with the blood of the dragon you slew, sharp teeth from having to eat monster flesh to survive, a million little things that set you apart from the sweet innocent child who first set out on the road to adventure.
More games where other characters see you and know you're no ordinary townsfolk, because you've been irrevocably changed by your experiences and if you ever go home, you won't fit anymore.

Hello, can I request for aged up characters x reader. Like them getting hit by a quirk that can age people up temporarily like them being in their 60's or something. Thank youuuuuu.
A/N: I FINALLY DID IT HERE U GO Characters: gn reader x Zoro, Usopp, Law, Ace Cw: Ace’s gets a little suggestive ;) Total word count: 1.2k
A Glimpse of the Future
Zoro
When you entered the kitchen, you were startled to find an older man walking around so casually. An older man with a scarred eye and green hair you knew so well, now slightly streaked with gray.
“Zoro?!” You asked cautiously, staring at the man.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” he grumbled. His voice was deeper than you remembered, but it was the same voice.
“What hap-”
“I don’t want to talk about it.” He set his swords down and sat on the chair. After a heavy sigh, he finally spoke again. “Got hit by an ability that makes you old. Just a stupid prank from some kid.”
“Is it permanent?” you asked, grabbing the tea kettle off the stove. You had to admit, you liked this look on Zoro. But you were afraid of what it could mean.
“Should be back to normal in a few hours.” He shook his head and sighed. “Everything aches, dammit. I hate this.”
“You always were an old man in soul,” you teased. You were relieved that he wouldn’t be this way forever, and now you could joke around with him.
“I’m not an old man!” he yelled.
You had to turn around and pretend to work on your tea to stifle your laugh. He really was sensitive over this. Just like an old man would be.
“Calm down, now,” you soothed, walking over to him with a warm cup for the two of you to share. “Would you like some tea?”
He eyed it, and you could tell he wanted a drink, so you passed it off to him.
“You don’t look bad, you know.” You ran your fingers through his hair, gently trailing over the new silver streaks.
“Yeah, whatever,” he grumbled, taking a drink and humming in delight. “I’m not meant to be this old.”
“Darling, I disagree.” You paused to kiss his cheek. “You were made for your golden years.”
Usopp
“Quick! Y/N! I need you!” An old man who looked shockingly like Usopp grabbed your hand.
You scowled, pulling away from him. “Who the hell are you?!”
“I’m Usopp from the future!” He yelled, trying to usher you from the deck. “I’ve traveled through space and time just to reach you and give you a warning!”
“What warning?” you asked. You were still cautious, but he did act a lot like the Usopp you knew. The only big difference was the wrinkles and the streaks of gray in his long, tied-back hair.
“Come with me immediately!” he said. “It’s been years since I’ve seen you! We don’t have much time!”
“Usopp, stop. You’re scaring me.” Why had he not seen you in years? Why did he have such little time with you? None of it made sense.
Old Usopp grabbed your face, holding you close to him. “On this day, in twenty years…you’re going to disappear right from this very spot!”
“What?” you whispered, trying to hold back tears. “What do you mean?”
“He’s lying to you!” Nami yelled. “He got hit by an ability that makes him old and he’s making it everyone else’s problem!”
Your fear turned to anger, and you shoved Usopp away from you. “That wasn’t funny!” you shouted, wiping a tear from your eye.
Usopp started cackling. “Oh man, you look terrified! I’m sorry, babe. I didn’t mean to scare you.”
“That wasn’t funny,” you repeated, still glaring at him. In hindsight, it was kind of humorous. You just wished the prank had been played on someone else.
Usopp pulled you in for a hug, his soft, weathered lips kissing your temple. “Forgive me?”
“This time,” you giggled slightly from his stray hairs tickling your skin. “Just don’t do it again, okay?”
“Deal,” he said. “Now let's go trick someone else.”
Law
An older man with Law’s exact outfit stormed into your room and rushed to the bathroom.
“Don’t say anything,” he said.
“Law?” You cautiously peered around the door frame.
His expressions and stance were familiar, but he was older. Much older.
“I don’t want to talk about it!”
You flinched at the sternness in his voice; it was much harsher when mixed with the gruffness of age.
He noticed you in the mirror, wearily standing back and watching him silently. His tone had been extreme, and he knew it.
He gave a sigh and pulled himself away from the mirror to walk towards you. “I’m sorry, I’m just frustrated about all this.”
You reached up and ran your hand across his hair, the black locks now streaked with white. You smiled to yourself. Even in his old age, Law was still incredibly handsome.
“You’re old,” you whispered out the sentence, grinning at him.
Law’s eye twitched, but he said nothing in response. You could tell he was pouting.
“Is it permanent?” you asked, rubbing your finger across his softened skin, now decorated with wrinkles.
“Should wear off by tomorrow morning,” he grumbled.
You hummed pleasantly, still examining his weathered face. His sharp, golden eyes were so out of place on a face that old.
“Well, Trafalgar Law,” you purred, running your hands through his hair and placing a kiss on his lips. “If this is what I have waiting in store for the future, I simply cannot wait.”
Ace
The door to your cabin opened, Ace’s silhouette blocking out the light behind him. You couldn’t see his face, but something felt…off.
“Don’t freak out,” Ace’s voice was far more husky than you remembered it, and his words sent a jolt of panic through your bones.
“Ace?” You sat up in the bed, squinting to get a better look.
“It’s only temporary,” he said.
“Ace, you’re scaring me. What’s wrong?” You stood out of bed and walked to the door to greet him.
Yes, something was definitely off. His body was bigger than you remembered, more stocky and muscular. His hair was longer. It was Ace, but it wasn’t the Ace you knew.
“Something went wrong on the mission, but everyone’s okay. We’re just…”
You couldn't stand it anymore. You turned his body slightly so you could see it in the light.
“Old!” you exclaimed, staring at him with wide eyes. “You’re old!”
You could see a slight flash of irritation dance across his face, and you giggled. He certainly was attractive, even irritated in his old age. The kind of old man who would yell at kids to stay away from his house one moment and then run to play with them the next.
“You’re handsome, Portgas D. Ace.” You tucked his long hair behind his ear and ran your thumb across his cheek.
“You think so?” He gave you a slightly cocky grin, but you could tell he was still self-conscious about it.
Your eyes trailed down his body, sinful thoughts filling your head. “How long are you like this?”
He shrugged. “Few hours, I think. We can just sleep it off.”
You blushed, your fingers trailing down his chest. “Who says we have to sleep it off?”
Ace’s mouth fell open, and then quickly corrected into a devious grin. “You, my dear, have major daddy issues.”
You rolled your eyes. “You’re one to talk.”

Tumblr media
There’s an uncertainty in his eyes. The stiffness in his body, the wrinkles on his face, his gray hair, the scars decorating his body, the emptiness in his gaze… You notice all of it. The small and subtle details and the ones that are obvious to anyone’s eyes.
For Logan, you shouldn’t even be here. It’s been hell and everything you got to do was taking care of the abandoned plant you were suited to call home and give his medicines to the old Charles.
When he asked you some time ago why you were there instead of continuing with your life, you gave him a simple answer:
“You are all the family I know.”
And, oh, how he wishes to this day you would just walk away from the danger and the suffering they had put you through. As a mutant and a former X-Men, being part of the team was all you knew. It was clear for him that you had made a decision, but the sting and the guilt inside his heart was there, adding pressure to his own suffering.
Logan makes his way inside the place late, after a long night of driving, and finds you are sitting on the worn out couch with an old book on your lap.
“Glad you’re early today,” you say, looking up from the yellow pages you were so invested in.
He takes off his black coat and hangs it by the door without a word, but feeling somehow at ease at the sound of your voice welcoming him. He is tired, you can tell.
“Are you hungry?” you ask and his eyes fall on you.
“No, I just need to get some sleep,” he answers before taking a glass of water, drinking it in one go.
He is always tired, and you wish there is something you could do to help. Logan, on the other hand, wished the situation could be different.
There were unspoken feelings and shared kisses you never talked about. But they did happen, and when the intimate touch came to the picture, Logan just pulled back. He just couldn’t afford to lose you. Would never forget himself if anything happened to you. After all, his fate was not having a happy ending. His heart wouldn’t bear dragging you down there.
You shift on the couch, getting on your feet, the book forgotten as you reach Logan standing by the dining table. Softly, you put your hand on his arm. He’s tense under your touch at first, but soon he finds himself releasing the feeling.
That is the effect you have on him. With a caress of your palm, Logan feels safe again, and has to remind himself he is not alone as long as you are there. He looks at you with tired, soft eyes, and he can tell you are yearning for a good night of rest, just like he does.
“You should go to bed now, it’s still kinda early so you can rest.”
Your voice comes out in a whisper, like if you were to wake up everyone around. Logan just stands there, enjoying the touch of your hand on the skin showing where he rolled up the sleeves of his white slim fit. And he remembers every time the late night kisses, make outs, the touching, the intimate happened, when you come like this to him. However, he cannot keep going. He can’t keep hurting you and pretend nothing is going on right now. This was not the life he wanted you to have, as much as you tried to convince him otherwise.
“Do you need anything?” you ask him again when he doesn’t respond back.
You.
He wants to say it out loud, but he keeps the word to himself. He doesn’t need to make things harder, doesn’t need to push you away one more time, burying his feelings for you deep inside his chest. Instead, he clears his throat and shakes his head, looking away.
“No, but thank you. I should go to bed now.”
You nod and move your hand off him, noticing there was a slight discomfort in his gaze. He walks away, passing by your side, and before you know, you follow and take his hand. He stops abruptly when you step in front of him.
“I don’t want to be an intruder but... I was wondering if I could sleep with you…” you say. “The night is a bit cold.”
He shakes his head, the pain already blooming on his chest. “You don’t want to. Trust me.”
You look at him with loving, caring eyes. Your palm cups his bearded cheek and you caress the skin slowly, feeling every wrinkle and texture with your thumb. “How many times do I need to tell you this is what I want?”
Logan takes your wrist softly, wanting to pull your touch away but he cannot find the strength to do so. He just enjoys the warmth of your skin as he whispers. “Please-”
“Tell me,” you order with a low voice. “Anything that is troubling your head, I’ll hear it. I’m not going away.”
Then, your other hand is taking his other cheek, pulling him softly and slowly until your noses are brushing and you feel the urge to kiss him. To show him what you feel. But you want to hear from him first. If this is what he wants, because you have made it pretty clear forever.
He is old, slowly dying, trying to survive a world that has long forgotten about your kind. There were few moments where Logan felt at ease, and they were all with you. Why couldn’t he just say it out loud? Why couldn’t he just let go and accept the unconditional love you give? He deserves to be happy, at least for a few minutes or a couple of hours just sleeping by your side, hugging you tightly. He deserves you.
With a sigh, he closes his eyes shut and his rough hand comes to your cheek as he leans closer until you barely brush your lips. His beard creating a sweet burn on your skin. “I’m sorry… Sorry for pushing you away like this.”
“It’s okay, Logan,” you lean to taste his lips and he doesn’t resist this time. He enjoys the warmth and the softness of your mouth against his own, and he presses your body on his own with his free hand, making the kiss deeper until you both are out of breath.
“I told you,” you speak. “This is what I want.”
His heart shrinks at your words and Logan knows he can’t really hide it anymore.
“I love you,” Logan finally confesses, looking straight into your bright eyes. “Still have no idea why you want me though.”
“I love you too, have loved you since forever, ever since I met you,” you smile beautifully and kiss the corner of his lips. “Let go for me. We’re gonna be fine.”
“Yeah,” Logan nods, wrapping his arms around your waist and kisses you again. This time more possessive than before, deeper and passionate.
In your arms, he should always be fine.

[Chapter 2]
Summery: After moving out of the big city and into the forest, you meet some men that might have some awners about whats been causing your pain.
EXPLICIT under the cut
Tumblr media
Groaning as your alarm wakes you, you glance over while hitting the snooze button. It was 7:30 in the morning and you had to get up. Sleepily you remember that you were moving today. Blearily you rub your eyes and contemplate getting up at all. However, you couldn’t delay since tomorrow the people who bought your house would be moving in.
Struggling to stand up as every muscle in your body ached and pulled on itself, it was as if they didn’t sit right in your skin. Your tummy aches and burns, and the scar from the dog bite that you had gotten on your wrist as a teen pulled and burned like a brand, you were almost in tears as you grabbed the outfit you set out. It was a simple t-shirt and jeans.
Everything else was pretty much ready for the movers. You grabbed your heated blanket, three sleep stuffies, and your blankie picking them all up with care and putting them in the front seat of your car. You just lean against your car for a moment and bask in the cool morning air. It would be nice to leave the city behind, it was a blessing your job could be done remotely as a freelance accountant.
The morning felt never ending as the movers loaded everything up in their truck and you managed to get on the road. The pain you felt only got worse even with tylenol and ibuprofen. It was agonizing and you couldn’t take anything stronger till the end of the day when you unpacked some of your stuff and were off the road.
After a few hours you and the moving truck reach your new home, it was a good size cottage with a garden in the back. It looked like it was going to fall apart in a few places but you had been on the phone with a contractor that would help get it all sorted. It also was against a mountain and had forest surrounding it, the chirping of birds felt comforting as you looked around. It was about an hour from the nearest ‘big’ town and was right on the border of a national park. It would be a nice place to raise a family, if you ever got around to it. Although, at your age that most likely was out of the cards. It was stunning and eased the longing feeling for the forest.
Breathing in the scent of pine you almost moan, you already felt at home. Your body relaxes and the pain dulls to a barely-there ache. You help the movers the best you can, pointing to what went to each room, with their help you put away the small things and they move in the larger things.
The moving company finished moving everything in and you were finally able to lay down and take some real medication. Your doctor had prescribed muscle relaxers, they didn’t ease the ache much and really only put you to sleep, but it was better than writhing in agony all night.
The doctors claimed it was just due to your age seeing as you were getting older. You didn't believe it since the pain had been plaguing you for decades since you were in your late teens. It made no sense seeing as your body still seemed the same as it was when you were eighteen, you didn’t even have gray hair or wrinkles yet!
Grabbing your heated blanket and medication you climb into bed, taking your meds and then laying down your body is wracked with agony. You gasp and moan in pain, you writhe as your bones and muscles pull and burn. Howling in pain as your body feels like it's on fire. You curl up in the fetal position and sob loudly.
Gasping you still cry, grabbing your heated blanket you put it on max heat and pray for it to maybe, hopefully work. Your eyes run with tears and you feel suffocated as your ribs felt as if they were breaking. The noises that come from your mouth were animalistic, if you weren’t in so much pain you would have been mortified.
As the night progresses it only gets worse and worse, it lulls for a while and you relax. Taking in deep breaths you hope it’s the end but a wolf howls out somewhere in the yard and you are brought right back into pain. As you look in the full body mirror leaning against the wall your eyes are a glowing orange and you look off. You looked like the second to first transformation in an animorphs book.
Eventually your body takes mercy and you pass out, crying yourself to sleep. Your dreams are filled with wolves and forests. You felt safe and at home in your dream, it was so easy and you didn’t hurt. The moon was full in your dream, the forest was stunning in the moonlight. As you meander through the woods, an odd feeling takes over you.
You had been horny before but never this much. You felt hot and sticky and so- so needy. Your body contorts in your dream into a face down ass up position. The urge and lust for babies takes over you. Whining you spread your legs more hoping to entice someone into filling you up. You gasp as someone finally does something, licking at your hole, you can’t tell who it is but it feels so good…so right.
“Please please, please….pleaaassseee…” you whine desperately for someone to fill you up.
Your breathing stutters as you feel your hole stretch open, it was so warm and comforting. The pace was slow and considerate before it ramped up to something more intense. You had never felt so good ever in your life, none of your sparse partners had ever gotten you to this peak. Reaching your peak you tense up and dive over the edge of pleasure. You moan loudly and clench down.
Just as you came down from your high, it became cold and your hole clenched around nothing. You whine as you slowly wake up. Rubbing your eye, you were incredibly sore which wasn’t new but the insides of your thighs are tacky with your release. Mortification washed over you as you realized that you had been humping your pillow during your sex dream.
Getting up way too quickly, your body protests and you cry out in pain. Stumbling to the shower you wash off your shame and put the pillow cover in the washing machine. As you dress you hear the doorbell go off.
As quiet as possible you climb downstairs but end up slipping and falling on your wrist causing pain to shoot up your arm. You cry out in pain and gasp harshly. Coupled with the soreness from last night you couldn’t get up and instead curl up in a ball and cry.
Someone knocks on the door again “You alright there?” The voice was rough and deeply masculine “I usually watch the house so I have a key, can I come in?”
“Give me a minute…” You whimper and stand up shakily.
You stumble to the door and open it.

Tumblr media
You’re resting against the trunk of a tree at the top of a little hill.
It’s picturesque — the hill is gentle, sloping down to a field of tall yellow-green grass. You can smell it, wafting up with the pollen from golden flowers. The sky above is alive with pinks and oranges bleeding into yellows and whites. A symphony of coos, chirps and pitter-patters of tiny things skittering around have an oddly calming effect as you settle back and allow yourself to exist.
Eyes closed, you hear the sound of something larger than a mouse rounding the tree trunk.
“I got it!” A feminine voice breaks the calm.
You don’t have to look to feel the other person at your side. They lower themselves to the ground, knees brushing against yours when they cross their legs to sit next to you.
You don’t have to look, but you do.
There’s a woman with you now, with hair so long and blonde it’s almost white. Her chin, lips, nose, and eyes are delicate and soft.
She’s not wearing any clothes, and you can see faint scars and wrinkles against the uninterrupted expanse of her skin.
“It’s so pretty, I’ve never seen one so red.” The woman is happy to see you, speaking with all the familiarity of a sister.
She presents an apple to you, taken from behind her back like a surprise.
It is red. Red like an oversized ruby, or a still-beating heart full of blood. All except for the missing chunk made by delicate teeth, yellow-white meat peeking through.
You accept her offering without a word. Even when it’s imperfect, you’re mesmerized by the fruit.
“I took a bite. I’m sorry.” She gazes at you, eyes flinty. “Does that bother you?”
You shake your head vehemently, holding the apple between your hands as if it’s the most precious thing in the world. “No, of course not.”
The woman’s lips quirk up into a satisfied smile, growing bigger when you lift the apple to your mouth and bite into it. The taste is extraordinary — sweet juice bursts against your tongue when the crisp flesh gives under your teeth with barely any resistance.
You savor the first bite out of necessity but soon you’re ravenous. You can’t get enough.
Your companion exhales gently through her nose and looks up at the colorful sky. She seems to relish in the breeze that passes by, making the leaves above you rustle and the tall grass ahead blow back quietly.
The apple is almost gone when she looks back at you, teeth showing as she grins. “Careful there!”
She giggles, reaching out to tap the hand of your hand in warning. It’s all playful, even when you pout and draw back.
“You’ll eat the seeds if you keep that up.” She says. “Something might take root and grow if you do.”
Her words give you pause, but only for the length of four or five heartbeats. The core of the apple is no less refreshing and before you know it, you’re holding the stem.
“Thank you.” You tell her earnestly.
The stem rolls in your palm, until it appears to wiggle and your brow furrows. In the back of your mind, you think you should be more startled to see it moving on its own. But when it grows pink-gray and ringed, and you realize it’s a worm, you simply place the flat of your hand on the ground below and watch it find its way into the dirt.
Sudden warmth against your cheek has you looking back up. The woman is inches from your face. Her eyelashes are dark and long and you could count them if you wanted.
The woman kisses you without a word, hands coming up to cup the back of your head. Surprise does spark up your spine as her tongue darts behind your lips. It’s as if she’s drinking deeply from you before she lets go.
“Forgive me. I wanted another taste.” She giggles again. “It’s even sweeter than I remember.”
Your face burns. You open your mouth, ready to ask the questions burning the tip of your tongue before the thud of footsteps sound from behind you.
She frowns, light leaving her eyes as she glances behind your shoulder. “Oh I was hoping we’d have more time.”
Her eyes cut across to yours. “Wake up before he sees you!”
———
A wave of pure, unadulterated nausea swept over you as soon as you opened your eyes. You laid still for a long moment, trying to reign in the urge to vomit before you deemed it safe enough to observe your surroundings.
A vague sense of confusion surfaced through the malaise when you realized that you were in your living room. There was a carmine blanket tucked around you, and with moderate difficulty you raised your head to see that, yes, a fluffy pillow was resting under your head.
Your reality conflicted with the still-present smell of tall, wet grass and a chill from the summer breeze against your skin.
With ridiculous care, you turned your head back into the pillow and muffled a whine. You couldn’t recall feeling a hangover of this caliber ever before in your life.
‘Wait.’
You weren’t hungover. Well, maybe you were but not from alcohol.
Your neighbors had invited you to dinner, then drugged you.
Already sick, you forced yourself to breathe deeply before shifting on the couch and pulling up the blanket. Despite confirming that your body was still clothed, you found yourself shaking.
It didn’t make sense to you how anyone could do this regardless of their intentions. You could not fathom why two people willing to harm you in one way hadn’t done more than that.
Your relief was short-lived, as dull and diluted as it was, when you twisted to lay back down and came face-to-face with:
A black glove, some aspirin and a glass of water sat on your coffee table.
You blinked rapidly.
There was a small business card in stark contrast to the otherwise colorless ensemble. It was thick stock, white, and flashing fancy golden script:
Lucifer Morningstar
Your stomach dropped as an unnaturally white face with glowing yellow and red eyes flashed in your mind.
The hallucination you’d seen last night — his image faded from your mind and you were left drifting in a blank, black void.
No thoughts.
———
The headache and nausea were considerably lesser when you woke up again.
Looking at the items on your coffee table — ‘glove, aspirin, water still there’ — you looked at each one and for one, strangely hopeful moment you didn’t see a card.
Oh no, it had just fallen on the floor.
———
Lucifer Morningstar
It was an odd business card, with its little red, white and gold designs on the edges. Fireworks, you eventually guessed. The ‘i’ in both first and last name were punctuated with them as well.
As you’d popped the aspirin in your mouth and downed the water, you flipped the card over. You could feel your eyebrows rising to your hairline at the hastily written message on the back:
Proof you weren’t dreaming.
Please Call Me
1-666-666-6669
Pacing was out of the question. Your limbs were still unsteady no matter how much you willed them to function.
You were trapped on the couch trying to accept what your brain had been screaming at you since you awoke for the fifth time.
How much time had passed?
Heaven and Hell were real, and so were God and the Devil.
And the Devil had paid you a visit.
———
The indent you’d made into your stupid, hand-me-down sofa was probably permanent now that you’d spent who knows how long just rotting there.
Contemplating, processing, fearing.
Fleeting memories of tantrums you’d thrown as a child paralyzed you. Moments in your life that you’d already regretted so much they kept you up some nights — randomly, provoked by nothing — piled up in your brain. Each one harshened that sinking feeling inside your body. This kind of horror was the kind a person feels right before they die.
How long have you been judged from above for your wrongs?
Were you already doomed to Hell? Is that why Lucifer himself wanted ‘to meet’ you? Did he make it a personal habit to visit each lowly sinner and taunt them?
God was real, so did everything actually happen for a reason like so many said?
Why did bad things happen to good people?
Was your dog in heaven, waiting for you and you’d already disappointed her by getting a one way ticket in the opposite direction?
———
You figured out that the ringing in your ears was actually your phone’s alarm when the natural lighting in your apartment was almost gone.
You managed to get to it on the other side of the room half-stumbling from your seat.
“Hello?” You rasped.
“… So you finally decided to answer your phone.”
———
It took you banging on the door and shouting against its old, glossy surface before Cass Farrow cracked it open.
A myriad of expressions crossed her painted face before she opened the door fully. When she faced you, she smiled.
“Honey! It’s been days! We didn’t wanna bother you but we were worried! It’s good to see you up and about!”
The way she acted, as if nothing was wrong, as if the world had turned upside down, had you balling up your fists. Your ragged nails delved into the skin so deeply you could feel the sting of blood.
“I-I need…” You couldn’t stop the copper taste of saliva filling your mouth.
You would not throw up. “I need to speak to your boss.”
Cass blinked owlishly at that. “My what?”
‘Why? Why? Why are you shocked?’ You shouted in your mind.
“Oh honey,” The low tone did nothing to soothe you, only raise your ire. “I don’t know what —”
“The Devil!” Your raised voice made the elderly woman jump. “Or Lucifer, or Baphomet — whatever the fuck you call him! I need to talk to him.”
You scrambled to grab the business card you’d stashed in your pocket.
“You had him in your apartment, so I know he’s in there somewhere.” You said while waving it in Cass’s face frantically.
It was deja vú when Mrs. Farrow eyed the card and her face paled considerably.
“Oh.”
———
Lucifer wasn’t ‘home’. At least, he wasn’t in his personal Airbnb via the Farrow residence.
However, Cass waved it away. “He’ll think it’s you or about you or something to do with you and come running.”
Trying to push yourself and demand she tell you more proved to be too difficult. All you could do is stand with your arms crossed, waiting while the (clearly practiced) worshiper combined a series of dried plants in her hands.
Cass gathered them up and laid them carefully on a side table before fiddling with the furnace and a long lighted match.
The fire blazed to life instantly from the little flicker it had begun as when Cass threw the plants in. It rose higher, and higher, until it had disappeared past where you could see behind the lintel.
You had it in you to be stunned when Lucifer appeared from out of those flames. He was perfectly pristine and intact when he stepped out, hunching slightly to avoid his top hat bumping into the smoke chamber.
The devil was as you remembered him, but also worse in that you couldn’t reassure yourself that his visage was merely a product of your fucked up, overly-imaginative little brain.
He was so… white.
His skin was practically blinding as freshly-painted walls hit by a sunbeam.
Lucifer stepped into the room with a flourish. “I came as soon as I coul-”
‘Fuck.’ You’d been spotted.
And there went Cass, out of the living room to hide away in her smelly kitchen.
“You’re here!” Lucifer cajoled, theatrics on full display as he beheld your presence.
The top hat came off, held in his hands as he graced you with a bashful smile like he was some gentleman caller and not Not-Satan.
“I-I didn’t expect to see you here waiting! But I’m so glad you are. Did you get my card? I thought about just leaving the glove because the card can seem so impersonal —”
“I just got fired.” You blurted out.
The unusually flat face contorted into an anguished expression. “You… you lost your job…?”
“Because of you.”
“B-because of me ?!” His already youthful tenor of a  voice raised some octaves. “What —”
You pointed a finger in his direction. “Yes! You !”
“You appeared out of nowhere and fucked up my entire worldview. I've had existential crisis-es… cris-ies? I don’t fucking — I’ve had life-altering spirals before but that was fucking nothing compared with this!”
“And now I’m out of a job and I’m alone in a city I don’t fucking know with cult-worshipping neighbors because I can’t go back to where I was and you’re just standing here like you have no idea why I’m upset!”
You hadn’t expected to get this far. You hadn’t expected to go on a tirade at all, really. Distantly you felt tears sliding down your cheeks and the frantic beat of your heart in your ribcage.
Shame, guilt and fear began toiling deep inside you.
Lucifer had been backed against the wall, hands raised placatingly and expression mirroring your own internal panic. It quickly turned into concern as he took in your sorry state of being.
“Please, no.” He reached out for you and you retaliated by jolting out of reach. “Oh please don’t… I’m sorry. I'm so sorry. I never… if I’d known…”
He was reaching into his coat and pulling something out before your sight cleared. It was a handkerchief with the red moniker L.M. on one corner.
The King held it out to you like a peace offering. Or a white flag.
The force with which you snatched it out of his hands was unnecessary but you couldn’t bring yourself to care.
“You said you picked me. What did you mean by that?” You mumbled into the handkerchief.
Lucifer’s mouth screwed up into a frown, brow creasing. “We don’t have to talk about that —”
“No.” You made eye contact, watching him squirm. “We need to talk about it. Explain it. Now.”
“Ahh… ok, yes, um…” He fiddled with the bow tie at his collar. “Well, like I said before, I wanted to wait until we got to know each other because… because it’s kind of a big deal.”
Your stern frown implored him to continue.
Lucifer winced. “It’s sort of a-a favor I wanted to ask of you. And I thought that if we talked about it over time maybe it wouldn’t sound so monumental… but actually, now…”
The fidgeting worsened, and his nimble fingers had graduated to fussing with the clasps down his front. Eventually, Lucifer yanked his jacket down to straighten it.
“So, I’ve been around for a really, really, really, really long time.” The Devil started. “And I’ve kind of been on my own for *like* ever and that’s fine, whatever, can’t complain. Normally it’s all about warding off boredom.
“But! Lately, it’s been harder and harder to just —” He made a fist and punched down onto the palm of his other hand to elucidate. “— Just, ahh, not be bored? I guess?”
“And it’s been interfering with all the shit I gotta do. I mean I have no-oo motivation, none at all, and it’s becoming a big problem. The other Sins have actually noticed. Like Satan? You know, we talked about him when we met — yeah, he came up to me not too long ago, saying —”
Your heart stopped as Lucifer’s eyes went completely red, blazing in his skull like magma and accompanied by long horns protruding from his head.
His voice took on an unearthly, gravelly quality as he, presumably, mimicked Satan:
“‘We’re worried for you, man. Ozzie says you haven’t been returning his calls. Levi and Bee miss you on their outings but you always say you’re busy. Whatever’s going on, you know you can talk to us, right?’”
Lucifer was back to normal in a millisecond. “And I do know that. I do! But as much as I wanna take them up on it, I just feel like none of them will really understand what’s wrong. I don’t even understand it. Or at least I didn’t until it came to me out of nowhere, like lightning.”
He mimed being zapped in the head.
“Visits and parties with my brothers are fun and all, but they end... And I find myself all alone more often than not.”
Lucifer sighed deeply.
“I don’t really have anything to live for,” He stressed. “Except for myself and…”
“That’s not much.” He snickered mirthlessly.
You swallowed. The anger, frustration, exhaustion and still-present fear were blanketed by an uncomfortable bout of sympathy.
Sympathy for the Devil.
‘Oh shut the fuck up you.’
“Don’t you live for the suffering of mankind or something?” You sniffled, trying to regain your metaphorical footing in the conversation and, in turn, regenerate that anger you’d been consumed by not a minute ago.
Lucifer looked from the ground to you, the gleam in his cherry-red eyes fighting to come back to life.
“Aha! No, no. That’s-that’s a Bible thing, right?” He groaned, pulling down the brim of his hat in exasperation. “Ugh, I still don’t know why Heaven insists on that overblown press kit! It’s so fucking old! And inaccurate!”
Lucifer commiserated with you. “Too much involvement from human hands, too. Ya know? I mean people use it to justify some of the most insane shit I’ve ever seen!”
He cleared his throat at your blank expression.
“Anywho-oo. What was the question again? Oh! Oh, do I live for the suffering of man — no! No, I don’t. In fact, where I’m from? Being in the middle of that suffering shtick gets old real fast. I’ve stayed away from it for a good while now and really I’ve never been better.”
The blond topped off his statement with a smile, showing those razor teeth while also trying to come across as easy-going and candid.
A beat passed, in which you felt your lips form a thin line.
You couldn’t stop yourself.
You snorted.
Lucifer looked at you as if you’d lost your head as your snorts turned into full-blown laughter. Until he, of course, wanted to fit in like he knew exactly what was going on.
“Hahaha, yeah…” Hell’s king chuckled nervously. “I am pretty funny, aren’t I? Ha ha… ha.”
Shaking your head ‘no’, you tried to reign in the body spasms.
“So when you say you ‘picked me’, you mean you want me to… what? Be your therapist?” You asked. “The Devil needs a friend’s shoulder to cry on? What?”
Lucifer fixed you with the first look of genuine annoyance you’d seen (directed at you) from him.
“No.” He harrumphed. “I need a baby.”

Endverse!Dean meeting Season1!Sam.
Dean is obsessed because this is his baby brother. Before hell, before angels, before apocolypses, before life really started to kick the shit out of them. This is his innocent, young baby brother. Fewer scars and wrinkles, eyes that actually shine with life.
And Sam is obsessed because this is Dean, with his first few gray hairs and age in his eyes. Dean is aging, is growing older. It's clear he's had a rough life, but he's had a life, and for Sam, who is used to Dean making jokes about dying young, this is everything.
When they inevitably fall into bed together, one of them is exploring what he's lost to time and the other is celebrating a lifetime of possibilities ahead of him.

My favorite thing in red dead redemption and red dead online is how the characters are HUMAN! Not just in the way they are,but in their appearances too! They have wrinkles, they have scars and smile lines and gray hair, the works. Sean is missing a tooth (albeit through a painful situation),one of Molly’s teeth in the front is slightly bigger than the other,Dutch has forehead wrinkles,Maggie in red dead online has a blind eye and a huge burn scar,a lot of the characters have crows feet too! They’re all SO human and I love red dead for that!! It’s a beautiful game with details that are still being found all these years later but the details in the characters by far are my favorite

i want crinkles around my eyes. i want hair that is patchy and streaked with gray. i want to wear old fashioned out of style clothes. i want my tattoos to be wrinkly and ugly. i want saggy tits and weathered hands and liver spots. i want a wavery creaky voice. i want scars and pockmarks where my piercings used to be. i want pucker wrinkles around my mouth from drinking out of straws and kissing people. if you try to sell me any creams or serums a big bomb will explode.

Summary: "His day had been awful, the stock market crash gave him an awful headache, his family certainly would be against any solution he could possibly find and at last, her words made him stumble and crash"
Tumblr media
The house was uncharacteristically cold for an autumn night, the wind whistled through the windows crevices and that was the only sound to be heard, even the maids' heels were silenced by the fall of the night.
The crash of the stock market affected the Shelby company to levels no one could foresee, since everyone assumed their currency was safe in Michael's hands. They were far from bankruptcy, as a matter of fact they would never have to worry about going back to the Watery Lane again, but the concern was inevitable.
The big clock in the hallway announced midnight and Y/N jumped at the sound of the heavy pendulum, usually the maids kept the clock from making any noise so it wouldn't disturb Tommy's light sleep, it seemed that tonight they forgot to.
Before entering her shared bedroom, she waited to see if the bang had woken up her baby, no cry was heard, making it feel like she was alone in the house.
However, she wasn't, Tommy sat at her dressing table brooding with a glass of whiskey, his shoulders hung low and he barely noticed her presence. She knew that state of him very well, he was stuck into his mind, thoughts running in his head like a down spiral.
She approached him slowly, as if he was a wounded war horse. Her gentle hand squeezed his shoulder, the tense muscles fitted on her palm begging to be looked after.
All Tommy offered as an answer was a slow blink and another sip of his whiskey, the bottle was full earlier that evening and almost empty by then. Y/N didn't doubt he had a high resistance to alcohol and yet, she couldn't help but worry.
"So what have you decided? I know Linda didn't let you speak," she referred to the family meeting they had.
"Nothing yet," Tommy mumbled, "fucking nothing,"
She took the glass from his hand before he could take another sip, a few drops trickled on his trousers and he cursed trying to take it back. In a quick gulp, she finished the drink.
"What are you doing, Tom?" she scolded.
"Y/N please," he sighed, "not now, not fucking now,"
"Look at state of you, stand up, Tommy," she demanded, but he didn't move at all, "fucking stand up!"
Tommy's eyes widened as she pulled him up with all her strength, he stumbled on his stool and firmly held onto her arms, certainly the spots would get sore later.
"Are you drunk?" she asked quietly, the look in her eyes didn't hide the concern and Tommy didn't have the heart to push her away.
However, he didn't answer, instead his rough hands traveled to her nape and tangled his fingertips on her hair. At that moment he was unable to express the relief only her presence brought, he was certain that he'd go mad if he had to deal with everything alone.
Tommy stared at her gentle eyes and she stared back. The face she very much loved was forming wrinkles, gray hair hid itselves in his well drawn eyebrows, above everything he looked exhausted.
Cupping his cheeks, she traced the scars on his cheek and under his chin, a wave of overwhelming affection washed over her,
"You're my basis, Tommy," she whispered, "I know I don't say it often, I know I don't say it enough, but the truth is that none of this would make sense without you,"
Tommy hid the shock her words caused by looking down at his own feet, he was beyond surprised. So he wasn't just an income, someone actually cared for him, the idea nearly brought tears to his eyes, he always thought being loved would be comfortable and relieving, but it only formed a knot in his throat.
He didn't see himself as worthy of love, especially not hers. Tommy couldn't tell exactly when he started to think she should leave him, he only thought someday she would and he wouldn't have the right to complain, because he was well aware dealing with him was a burden.
Noticing a single tear running down his face, she quickly brushed it off and pulled him to her arms. His chin rested on her shoulder as he held his breath, a trick to keep himself from crying he learnt in his childhood.
Nevertheless, he wasn't able to keep up with it when her hands traveled through his back. While one held the back of his neck, the other traced his spine with gentle, yet firm pressure, next moving to his shoulder blades and lower back.
At last, her embrace became tighter around him, assuring Tommy's silent cry it was okay to come out, if it wasn't for the movement of his back and the tears wetting her clothes, she wouldn't believe such simple words had that effect on him. The truth was, Tommy was much more fragile than he let show.
"It's alright, let it out," she soothed, petting the shaven back of his head, "I got you,"
Five, ten, twenty minutes passed and Tommy started to try controlling his breath, he knew that if he fully let himself go his cry would become compulsive, the tears would run down without control and turn an intimate moment into a humiliating one.
Slowly, he breathed in and out, laying his head on her shoulder. She tried to look him in the eyes, but Tommy quickly hid his face on her neck, he'd hate to be seen with teary eyes and wet cheeks.
He held onto her clothes tightly, at the same time her scent calmed him down, the gentleness she offered made him want to cry again.
"I'm sorry," he sobbed, "I'm fucking sorry,"
"It's alright, love, don't apologize," guiding him to bed, she held him in her arms.
Running a hand through his hair, Y/N respected his wish to hide, the bridge of his nose fitted on her neck as his wet eyelashes brushed on her skin. His day had been awful, the stock market crash gave him an awful headache, his family certainly would be against any solution he could possibly find and at last, her words made him stumble and crash.
Eventually, Tommy's eyelids got heavy, her warmth relaxed his tired muscles and he felt safe enough to let the worries slip away. He fell asleep with his head on her shoulder.
Realizing he was asleep, Y/N took the opportunity of doing the same, in the last few months sleeping near him had become a rare occurrence.
Hours went by, enough for the wind gusts to dissipate and a storm to form. The heavy, gray clouds covered the moon in the dark sky, releasing thick rain drops that hit the window with brutal force.
The noise woke Tommy up, he lifted his head to see his wife in deep slumber, he didn't know how much time passed, but he felt less tired, it had been a long time since he took a nap without waking up from time to time.
Peeking at the clock at the bed table, he squeezed his eyes shut and sighed, four in the morning wasn't exactly a proper hour to wake up, especially if he had slept past midnight.
A sleepy noise from Y/N captured his focus again, his eyes wandered to the drawer in which he kept his opium bottle and he quickly came back at her. Finally, he decided to not disturb her sleep, well aware he probably wouldn't fall asleep again, Tommy snuggled to her and closed his eyes. He wouldn't say it back, but she was also his basis.
