Summary: Your moms found out about your relationship with Kate and are not happy with it. They want to keep you safe, unintentionally hurting you while doing that.
Notes: Sorry for my long absence. Here's a new one shot for you. I think it's the longest work I've ever written so far. Enjoy reading this piece.

You knew you were in trouble. It was obvious. Especially after they broke into the house and you saw a very angry ex-assassin and a very pissed witch in the living room. But, let’s start from the beginning ‘cause what a story it is.
8 hours earlier
“No, there is no way.” your mom said firmly, standing in the kitchen with her hands on her hips. You stood up from your chair and walked closer to her.
“Why? You can’t just do that.” you fighted back. You couldn’t believe this is happening and centrally won’t let it become the truth. You love your moms and you know they always try to do what’s best for you, but this time they were in the wrong.
“I can and I just did. You can’t see Kate anymore.” Nat said with a stern look, tightening her jaw. You turned from her to your other mom. “Mama, won’t you say anything?” you asked, a pleading look on your face.
Wanda, who was standing and listening to the conversation this whole time, walked closer to her wife. “Y/N, sweety, we’re just looking out for you.” she answered gently. You felt absolutely helpless, hurt and angry.
“You can’t make this decision for me. It’s my life and my relationship.” you spoked, hoping that they will change their minds.
“You are our daughter and still a child. It is as we say.” Nat added, not backing up. It’s hard to fight an assassin, even if it is not a physical fight. “Listen, we don’t want to be the bad guys here or make your life miserable. It’s just..” Nat signed. “Kate is an Avenger. This job is very dangerous and being with her can put you in life threatening danger. It’s already risky considering that you are our daughter.“
“I’m not a child anymore, I’m 21 years old. Nothing bad will happen to me. Please, I love her. Y-you can’t do that.” your eyes started to fill up with tears, your voice’s slowly breaking.
“I’m sorry, but that’s final.” Hearing that, you rushed to your room, locking yourself in it. You threw yourself on your bed and started crying.
Everything was good before. Your moms didn’t know about your relationship. You successfully kept it from them for a little over a year, always saying that you were going out with some friends. But of course, they had to walk in on you and Kate making out in the training room when you were visiting the Avengers in the compound, because they had some stuff to take care of. Nat immediately took you to the car. The drive home was silent, but when you got inside, they started saying that you needed to end things with Kate for “your own good”.
You picked up your phone, opened contacts and dialed the phone number. It was three rings after that the person answered. “Hi, Y/N.” said the angelic voice on the other side. It was all it took you to utter a sob, breaking down more from just hearing her. “Y/N? What’s wrong? Does it have something to do with your moms finding out about us?” Kate asked with a concerned tone. You didn’t want to tell her about your fight because it would make it true and you couldn’t let that happen. However, Kate deserves to know. Maybe you can come up with a solution and everything will be great again. At least you hoped so.
“Kate-” you sobbed. “They want me to break up with you.” you cried out. Silence enveloped the room. You didn’t know if it was because she hung up or she was shocked. Pulling the phone from your ear, you looked at the screen; okay, she’s still there. “Kate? Please, say something.”
After a few seconds, you heard her say, you think she’s also crying. “I don’t know what to say.” she cleared her throat and added. “There’s nothing I can do? Maybe they can still change their mind?”
“I don’t think so.” You said. The truth is, if there was anything that would change this, you would already do it. Sad reality hit you. Your moms don’t want you to be with Kate. Then you wondered if it was even important to you. I mean, of course, you want them to approve of your relationship, but they don’t. They just don’t understand that she’s the love of your life. Your whole heart. Your everything. At that moment, you made up your mind. “You know what? I don’t care what they say; I want to be with you. I love you, Kate. ” you said, determined, wiping the tears from your cheeks with the back of your hand. Your moms are not gonna come in between your love life. You won’t let them.
“I love you too and I want to be with you for the rest of my life. Are you sure, though? I mean, they are your moms. I don’t want your relationship with them to be destroyed because of me.” Kate said, her voice slowly quieting. You can’t help but feel your heart grow bigger with love for her if it is still even possible. She cares about you so much, you couldn’t be more sure about your decision.
“Yes, I want to be with you forever, Katie.” you said truthfully. “I can’t imagine my life without you.”
“I can’t imagine my life without you too. What are we gonna do about your moms?” she asked.
“I don’t know, yet.” you said. You didn’t like to lie to your moms, but in this case, you feel like you have to. “Maybe we can meet up today? I can say that I need to go for a walk to clear my mind or something. You can park your car a few streets away.” you said hopefully. “Sure, be there in an hour.” With that, you ended the call.
Kate will be here in an hour, so you intend to spend this time on getting ready. You had to wear something not too fancy for a walk but not too ugly for a hangout with your girlfriend. ‘Girlfriend’, after all this time you’ve been together, you still can’t believe you get to call her that. It makes your heart flutter every time.
After some time of thinking about what to wear and getting mentally ready to lie to your moms, you were ready to leave. Walking down the stairs, you opt to look upset, but without it looking weird. You know it is hard to lie to a witch and an ex-assassin.
You slowly made your way to put on some shoes when someone called from behind. “And where are you going, young lady?” You turned to see Nat with her arms crossed. “I hope it isn’t the girl I clearly said is dangerous for you to hang out with.” She said sternly.
That got your blood boiling. “If you want to know, I’m going for a walk to clear my head, because my mother said I can’t be with the love of my life!” You shouted, tears started to well up again. Nat stood a little shocked at the outburst but quickly recovered. “Quit the tone; you know I do this for your safety. I just want to protect you.” She said the last part a little softer.
“Whatever.” You said and walked out of the house, shutting the door.
You turned left and started going down the street; hopefully Kate is already there. As you walk, you make yourself slightly more presentable, fixing the hair and wiping the tears that once again started to flow because of the encounter with your mom. Turning left, you see Kate’s car parked on the side of the road. Smiling, you increased your speed and got into the car.
“Hi-” Kate didn’t manage to greet you because you immediately pulled her by her shirt into a long, passionate kiss. Your fist, full of the fabric, pulled Kate closer. Her hands flew to grip the back of your neck. Both missed the physical contact. Your lips, made to fit like two pieces, were moving against each other, stealing breath. Your lungs started to feel like they were on fire, but that didn't stop you from giving yourself to Kate in that kiss.
After a few minutes, you pull away from the kiss but still keep close to Kate. Your hand full of her shirt slightly loosens, yet the grip is still there. “Sorry, I just really missed you.” You said, looking down flustered. Finally, your eyes moved up, looking deeply into hers. “Hi.” you added after a moment of silence.
Kate smiled at you. “Hi.” She replied, giggling breathlessly. “I missed you too. So much.”
It’s so stupid how her smile and the little glint in her eyes can make you all giggly and weak in knees. You know you loved her to the moon and back, you can’t give up on your relationship just because your moms tell you to, not when everything in you is screaming that Kate is the endgame, your endgame.
“Hey, hey, hey. What's wrong?” you felt Kate's hands on your face, thumbs wiping your cheeks. You didn't realize that you were crying. Every emotion's built up in you, and right when you saw her, you just had to let it all go. “It's just, I don't want to be away from you. I love you so much and I'm sick of this sneaking out, or my moms telling me that I can’t be with you.” you sniffled, looking into her eyes. “God, you are everything I want. I want to be with you forever. When I think about my future, I see you and me, and I don’t care what our lives will look like as long as we are together; that's everything I want.” You really poured your heart out there. It’s not typical for you to be this vulnerable in front of Kate—actually in front of anyone; you’ve always kept everything to yourself.
Now that you think of it, you think you might have scared Kate. She’s silent, just staring at you, hands still on your face. You think you blew it, that it was too much for her. After all, you’ve been dating for only a little over a year. Thoughts started to flood your mind, creating the worst scenarios and just when you were about to apologize-
“Marry me.” Kate said, her face not showing any emotions. You were speechless; did you hear it right? Kate asked you to marry her? Well, it wasn’t really a question, more like as if she just admitted to herself that she wants to marry you. Nonetheless, there is still a part of you that believes that you heard it wrong. “What?” You breathed out, your eyes searching for reassurance in hers.
“Marry me.” She repeated more confidently this time as if coming back to life. “I’m serious. I know that we haven’t been dating for long, but I also want to be with you forever. I love you and I don’t want to be with anyone else; you are the only one for me. I want everything with you, I want you. This won’t be easy, but that’s great. Easy is boring.” you both giggled at that. “This is reckless and not normal at all, but let’s just be for real. We are reckless and nothing in our lives is normal, I mean, your moms are a witch and an ex-assassin and I am an Avenger. Nothing ever was normal and nothing will be, and frankly, I love it this way.” Kate ended her heartwarming speech with a big smile on her face, tears now also in her eyes. “So, Y/N Romanoff, will you marry me?”
“Yes!” You said matching her smile. “Of course I will marry you.” Pulling the shirt you still had a grip on, you pull Kate into a slow kiss, filled with salty tears. You think you’ve never been so sure about anything in your life. Honestly, that’s all you ever wanted, to marry the love of your life and that is marrying Kate Bishop.
“Good, cause I thought for a second that I went too far.” Kate started to ramble after pulling away. You thought that the best way to stop her from that was to kiss her again. It didn’t last long though, because after a few seconds she pulled back again. She turned so she’s sitting straight, her back to the seat, and started to wave her hands around. “Oh my, I need to buy a ring. God! I’m so unprepared!” You tried to stop her by calling her name, but that didn’t really work.
“Katherine Elizabeth Bishop!” Using her full name did work. She stopped immediately and looked at you. You giggled at her. “You need to stop worrying about that. I want to marry you, not the ring. I don’t need any rings, just you, okay?” Kate looked at you as if looking for clarification, then she cutely tilted her head and pouted and that just made you want to kiss her.
“I know, but I really want to get you a ring. You deserve that, you deserve a big proposal with-with rose petals, a nice dinner and a big diamond ring, not this. A girl who proposes in her car without even a paper ring.” She started having doubts about herself; you could see that. “I love that girl. I don’t need some rich and stuck-up proposal. I couldn’t have imagined it better than this.” You made sure she was looking at you as you said that to her. That was the truth, so you wanted her to believe you.
“Okay.. okay.” Kate clears her throat, then adds. “So, shall we go and get married now?” you both smiled at each other. Reaching for seat belts in order to fasten them, you answered. “Yes, we shall.”
It turned out it wasn’t that easy. You had to have witnesses. After some thinking, you reached out to Aunt Yelena, while Kate called Clint. Although it took some convincing to get the old man to drive here because, as he said, he doesn’t want to ‘deal with angry mothers anymore’, whatever that means, he might have been referring to Laura, but you’re not sure; you also think that he really just didn’t want to move his three letters.
Well, eventually, he agreed. Yelena didn’t need this much convincing; well, she didn’t need to be convinced at all. She said she’d be happy to piss off her sister; she mentioned something about getting back at her for borrowing, without her knowing, one of her vests and then destroying it on a mission, but you could have misheard.
Kate got anxious again, but this time about clothing. Both of you wore casual clothes, not right for a marriage. So that’s how you got dragged by Kate for a little shopping. It took you both a while, but in Kate's eyes it was worth it, because now you and her looked good.
It wasn’t long before you and Kate signed up the marriage license with Clint and Yelena next to you, and you were good to go. You bit your goodbyes with them, then made your way to Kate’s car. While you were both sitting, the car still not turned on, you realized what just happened. ”We just got married.” Kate stated firmly, her face not showing any emotions while looking straight ahead. You turned your head to look at her. ”We just got married.” She repeated, now with a big smile on her face. Also turning her head to you, she started to giggle. Hearing her laughter, you started to giggle yourself, also not believing that this is real.
Kate leaned in and brought her hand to the back of your neck to pull your foreheads together. ”You are my wife.” She said breathlessly. ”I am your wife.” You said in the same tone. Your wife pulled you into a long, passionate kiss. ”Damn, your moms are really gonna kill me now” Kate said after pulling away. This caused you both to burst out laughing. “Well, if this is my last hour, how about we make the best of it and go back to mine, my wife?“ She asked with a smirk on her face, clearly insinuating on doing something really not PG. Your cheeks turned slightly red, but you matched her smirk. “Lead the way, my wife.”
You’re sure that your superhero broke a few laws driving you to her apartment. Both of you are very eager and excited for what awaits you there. So as soon as the door was closed, Kate pushed you into it, trapping you between the wooden surface and her. Hands flying to your hips, squeezing and pushing more against the hardwood. Lips mingling with yours fastily, tongue pushing into your mouth, exploring the inside. Next thing you know, she was tagging at your pants, trying to take them off. Once you’re free from them, Kate’s hands traveled from your hips, over your ass, stopping on it for a second to squeeze, and then went downwards to the back of your thighs. With one swift movement, you were pulled from the door for a second, only to be pushed against it again, but this time with your legs around Kate’s waist.
Her kisses moved from your lips to nip at your neck, for sure, leaving lots of hickeys. You leaned your head back, revealing more skin on your neck. The particular bite on your pulse point made you moan. Your hands flew to her hair in order to pull her closer. With a mind full of thoughts about Kate, you breathlessly conhered some words. “B-bedroom… now.” you gasped when suddenly Kate pulled you both away from the door and started to blindly walk towards the bedroom. While you were stumbling across the living room, you threw your bag on the table, or at least you hoped it landed on the table, not caring about stuff inside. Though you’re pretty sure that your bag opened from the impact.
After some struggling, your back hit the bed with Kate on top of you. Lips once again connected, Kate started grinding her hips on yours. Suddenly, you felt it—the hardness underneath her pants. “Is-is that-?” You stuttered, then moaned because Kate pressed herself harder on you, so you feel it against your core.
“Mhm, a new one.” Kate smirked at you and again pushed her hips into yours, making you gasp. She leaned down to your neck and started to mark you everywhere she could. When she got to your pulse point, you moaned and gripped the back of her head, burying your fingers into her hair, pulling her closer. You feel hands tagging at your shirt. With your arms up, Kate swiftly takes off your shirt, leaving you in only your panties and bra. However, it doesn’t take long for her to also remove these undergarments. “So pretty.. so delicious, just for me to taste.” Kate’s hands started to wander.
Wanting to see more of Kate, you unbuttoned her shirt, slid it down her arms and then the shirt joined the rest of the clothes on the ground in the bedroom. Your hands immediately flew to her arms to feel her strong muscles. Then, to her abdomen, where she clearly has abs. “One of many perks of being an Avenger; lots of training that makes you have these muscles.” You stare in awe, biting your lip.
Kate leaned down again and nipped at your skin, making her path from your neck to your chest. She took your left nipple in her mouth, sucking on it hard, while her other hand squeezed the right breast. After some time, she switched the breasts and started sucking on the right one. ”Please, Kate… I want you.. now.” you pleaded.
Not wanting to tease you, just this night, Kate pulled away and took off the rest of her clothes, revealing the strap-on. “Purple?” You chuckle a little.
“What? I look good in purple.” Kate grinned and once again got on top of you. The strap was rubbing against your clit, making you shut your eyes and groan softly. “You want my cock, sweetheart?” Kate asked, rubbing her strap even harder.
“Yes! Please, Kate, I want your cock. Please fuck me.” You desperately rumble, your mind full of thoughts of how she can ruin you. This strap is definitely bigger than what you were used to, but you are willing to try this, considering how wet you are for her.
Kate leaned to your ear to whisper. “As you wish, babygirl.” Right after that, she harshly pushed at least a half of the strap in your pussy. Your moans and grunts get louder as she continues to slide in. “Fuck, baby. Always so tight for me.” You shut your eyes tightly as you feel more and more fuller with every second.
Finally, your hips were flush against each other. Your breath is more ragged as you try to get used to the fullness. “Kate… s-so full, fuck, so big” you moaned. After a few more seconds, Kate started to pull out and thrust her hips forward, causing you to let out a loud scream.
Your moans only encouraged Kate to keep going. The thrusts were much harder now; it made your head spin. You wrapped your arms around her back, burying your nails into it. Kate hissed into your ear from the harsh scratches, but it fuelled her to give you more. The room was filled with the sounds of your moans and the slapping of your hips with every thrust. “Kate- shit… I’m going to-” you are cut off by a hoarse groan that bursts out of your throat when Kate hits one particular place.
“It’s okay. Let go for me, baby.” Kate said breathlessly. That was all you needed, and soon your eyes rolled back. You arched your back into her, threw your head back and let out a silent scream. Kate was still thrusting into you as you were falling over the edge.
After you calmed down, she slowly pulled out of you. You groaned at the emptiness as you were trying to catch your breath. Kate was peppering your body with soft kisses. When she got up to your face, you smiled at each other. “That- that was incredible.” you said panting. “Glad you liked it, my love.” she pecked your lips. With a swift move, you turned you both over, so Kate was now on her back with you on top of her. “Let me return the favor.” you grinned and leaned down to kiss her.
*****
You were lying on the bed with your head on Kate’s chest. Your arm around her abdomen, leg between hers. Kate has her arm wrapped around your bare body. The covers were loosely thrown on both of you as you were lying together in your own, quiet bubble.
“You know… I was thinking..” Kate started. You turned your head to look at her and wait for her to continue. “Since we are married now” this made you smile. You still can’t believe that this is real and that Kate is your wife now. “Maybe, if you want… you could move in with me.” your eyes widen at her words. A smile spread across your face. You lifted slightly from the bed to move closer to her and give her a passionate kiss in which you couldn’t stop smiling. The same goes for Kate.
When you pulled out, you looked her in the eyes. “Of course I want to move in with you!” you both had such big smiles on your faces that your cheeks started to ache. “Great! I was scared for a second that you wouldn’t want that. What will you tell your moms, though? Maybe you should-” as Kate continued to rumble, your heart stopped. Shit. Your moms, they don’t know anything, AND you said you were going for a walk, which is now about six hours long. Shit, shit. Your phone has been on silent since you went to get married. They probably called you and texted you a million times.
“Shit, my moms! They have to wonder where I am!” you said cutting her off and quickly got out of bed, panicking. You throw on yourself one of Kate’s hoodies, put on your panties and some Kate’s shorts. At the corner of your eye, you see that Kate also got up and started to get dressed. You left the bedroom and headed towards the living room, where you left your phone in the bag. Just as you walked into the living room space, your heart stopped at the sight.
So, now you know the story behind why an angry witch and a pissed-off ex-assassin broke into the apartment and were standing in the living room. They had their hands on their hips, with scowls on the faces. “Mom, mama-” You were immediately caught off. “Don’t mamas us!” Wanda scoffed. She rarely got angry, she preferred to do things the calm way. However, when she did get angry, oh boy, hide if you can.
They had every right to be angry and you knew it. So you chose to stay silent this time. “Do you want to explain where you’ve been?” Nat asked with her jaw locked tight. “And why, when I called Clint to ask if he knew something about your whereabouts, he said that he doesn’t want to get involved anymore?” this time Wanda spoke. “Or why, when I called Yelena to ask if she knew something, she just laughed and hung up?” Natasha added. It was as if they talked it through, because they were literally changing after one sentence. It was creepy. “You lied to us, went radio silent and met up with the one person we specifically told you not to see!”
The person, as if on cue, came into the living room and stopped dead in tracks. “Mrs. Romanoff and..” Kate cleared her throat “Mrs. Romanoff.” She stood right next to you, her eyes locked on anything but your moms. The thick tension could be cut with a knife. You didn’t know what they would do now, with Kate next to you.
“And here’s the person in the flesh.” stated firmly Natasha, her eyes shooting daggers at Kate. “Mom, please.” you pleaded. You didn’t want this place to turn into a war zone. “Please what? Y/N, we've forbidden you from seeing her and the next thing you did after that was see her! You don-”
“What is that?” Wanda stopped Natasha from further shouting at you as she noticed something. You turned your head where she was looking, and your face turned pale. Wands was looking at the coffee table where you had thrown your bag earlier. The bag opened from the impact and some things fell out of it on the table. One of the things was your and Kate's marriage license. Your heart stuck in your throat as Wanda walked closer to it. She reached for the paper, picked it up and for a moment there was silence. But only for a short moment.
“You got married?!” Wanda shouted, turning to face you and Kate. Now she was really, really angry. Like the kind of angry when she has her eyes narrowed, eyebrows furrowed so that they are almost touching, and the worst, the little tilt in her head. Now you were fucked. “You what?!” this time Natasha shouted.
“I-... we just..” you wanted to say something, but didn't know what. What do you say in a situation like that, though? It was tough, but fortunately Kate noticed that you were struggling and decided to speak for you. She reached her hand to yours and interlaced your fingers together. Kate cleared her throat, mentally preparing herself for anything that could happen after she spoke. “We did. We got married today.” you didn't think that was possible, but silence was never this loud.
“Why would you do that? And without any of us knowing” Wanda spoke angrily as she handed the married license to Nat.
Natasha read the license, still not believing what she just heard. Her eyes stopped at one point. “Bishop? You changed your last name to Bishop?” Natasha asked in disbelief, interrupting Wanda. “Yeah…” you said, unsure, waiting for the explosion from your parents.
However, there is something else on their faces. Hurt? Disappointment? Sadness? You couldn't tell, but you knew you didn't like it. “Mom, mama, please don't look at me like that.” you said sadly, there is a stone in your heart. “I've never wanted to get married without you there, but I also didn’t want to marry anyone but Kate. And you specifically told me that I can't be with her… I just.. I couldn't let that happen. I just want you to be happy for me.” you reasoned, tears once again pricking in your eyes. You felt Kate's hand smoothing your back, which calmed you a little.
“Mrs. Romanoffs, I really love your daughter. You care about her safety as much as I do. I promise to keep her safe and sound.” Kate calmly said, meaning every word.
Wanda and Nat looked at each other, having a silent conversation. Soon, they turned back to face you and Kate. “Oh God..” Nat groaned, letting out a breath. “Y/N, darling, we didn't want you to feel like that; we just…” she didn't really know how to say it, so Wanda took the wheel. “We just love you so much, we want to keep you safe. However, I admit that we did go a little too far. We shouldn't get between you and Kate.” she says. Your eyes lit up a little, a small smile started to spread on your face. “Does that mean..?” you asked, still not sure you understood what they just said. “Yes, you can see Kate.”
Now you have the biggest smile on your face. You jumped up and down and then pulled your mothers in a hug, squeezing in happiness. Your moms laughed a little and hugged you back. “We love you, darling, and we are happy for you.”
“Thank you. I love you both, very much.” you grinned and pulled away from the hug. You go back to stand next to Kate, whose smile is as big as yours, and interlace your fingers.
“However,” Natasha turned to Kate with a stoic expression. “If you hurt her, I will hunt you down.” Kate started to feel a little nervous again, but tried not to show it. “Of course, I-I would never hurt her; I love her.” she rumbled quickly.
Soon, Wanda and Nat left the apartment, saying that today they will leave you and Kate alone, but tomorrow they want you both at home for dinner.
You went back to bed, lying next to each other. Both of you fell asleep in a loving embrace.

Y/N and Scarlett had always been the couple that everyone admired. Their relationship was often described by friends and acquaintances as "perfect." Living in a cozy apartment in NYC, they had spent two wonderful years together. Their relationship was marked by sweet gestures, tender moments, and an unwavering bond. Scarlett, who was known for her strong and assertive personality, was always soft and gentle when it comes to Y/N. Every day, without fail, Scarlett would make Y/N feel special, telling her how much she loves her.
Every morning, Scarlett would wake up before Y/N, slipping out of bed quietly to prepare breakfast. She knew Y/N loved pancakes, so she made them from scratch, humming softly to herself as she worked. By the time Y/N woke up, the smell of freshly brewed coffee and warm pancakes filled the apartment.
"Morning, sleepyhead." Scarlett would say, a smile lighting up her face as Y/N shuffled into the kitchen.
Y/N would smile back, eyes still heavy with sleep. "Morning, love."
Scarlett would set a plate of pancakes in front of her, sitting down across the table. "Eat up. You've got a big day ahead."
Y/N would take a bite and sigh contentedly. "You always know how to make my mornings better."
One day, while Y/N was at work, Scarlett decided to surprise her with lunch. She knew Y/N had a hectic schedule, so she packed a homemade meal and headed to her office.
When she arrived, Y/N's eyes lit up with surprise and delight. "Scarlett! What are you doing here?"
"I brought you lunch," Scarlett said, holding up the bag. "Thought you could use a break."
They sat together in the small break room, sharing stories and laughter. Y/N couldn't stop smiling. "You always know how to brighten my day."
On Sundays, they had a tradition of spending the day in their pajamas, doing nothing but lounging around the apartment. Scarlett loved these moments, where they could just be themselves without any distractions.
They would cuddle on the couch, watching movies or reading books. Scarlett would often glance over at Y/N, who would be engrossed in her book, and feel a surge of love and gratitude.
"I love you, you know that?" Scarlett would say, brushing a strand of hair from Y/N's face.
Y/N would look up, her eyes sparkling. "I love you too, Scarlett. More than anything."
In the evenings, they enjoyed taking walks around their neighborhood. The city was always bustling, but in those moments, it felt like it was just the two of them.
Hand in hand, they would walk and talk about their dreams and future plans. Scarlett loved these conversations, where they could dream together.
"Do you think we'll always be this happy?" Y/N would ask, looking up at the stars.
Scarlett would squeeze her hand. "I know we will. I'll make sure of it."
On their anniversaries, Scarlett always went all out. One year, she surprised Y/N with a rooftop dinner. She had decorated the space with fairy lights and candles, creating a magical ambiance.
Y/N's eyes widened as they stepped onto the rooftop. "Scarlett, this is amazing!"
Scarlett pulled her into a gentle embrace. "Only the best for you, my love."
They danced under the stars, holding each other close. Scarlett whispered sweet nothings into Y/N's ear, making her giggle and blush.
"I can't believe how lucky I am to have you." Y/N said softly.
Scarlett smiled, kissing her forehead. "I'm the lucky one."
Some of their best moments were the quiet nights in, where they would simply sit together and enjoy each other's company. Scarlett loved to play with Y/N's hair, weaving it into intricate braids.
"You're so good at this." Y/N would murmur, her eyes half-closed in contentment.
Scarlett would chuckle softly. "I just like playing with your hair. It's so beautiful, just like you."
Y/N would blush and lean into her touch. "You're too sweet, Scarlett."
Scarlett had a habit of leaving little notes for Y/N around the apartment. Whether it was a simple "I love you" or a longer message expressing her feelings, these notes never failed to make Y/N smile.
One day, Y/N found a note tucked into her bag that read, "Thank you for being the light of my life. I can't wait to see you tonight."
Y/N felt a warmth spread through her chest. Scarlett always knew how to make her feel cherished and loved.
Sometimes, they would stay up late into the night, talking about everything and nothing. Scarlett loved these moments of vulnerability and openness.
"Do you ever think about the future?" Y/N would ask, her voice soft in the darkness.
"All the time," Scarlett would reply, taking Y/N's hand in hers. "And every time, I see you in it."
Y/N would smile, her heart swelling with love. "I can't imagine my future without you."
Whenever Y/N felt insecure or anxious, Scarlett was always there to reassure her. She would hold her close, whispering words of comfort and love.
"You're amazing, Y/N," Scarlett would say, her voice firm and sincere. "Don't ever doubt that. I love you more than anything in this world."
Y/N would nod, feeling a sense of calm wash over her. "Thank you, Scarlett. I don't know what I would do without you."
Every day, Scarlett made it a point to remind Y/N of her love. Whether it was a kiss on the cheek before heading out or a sweet text message during the day, she never let Y/N forget how much she meant to her.
One morning, as Y/N was getting ready for work, Scarlett wrapped her arms around her from behind.
"I love you," Scarlett whispered, kissing the back of her neck. "Don't ever forget that."
Y/N smiled, turning around to face her. "I love you too, Scarlett. More than words can say."
Despite all these sweet moments, Y/N noticed a change. Scarlett became distant, preoccupied, and often seemed lost in thought. Her usual warmth replaced by an unfamiliar coldness. It started with missed calls and shorter texts, and Y/N couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. The final straw came when Y/N stumbled upon a message on Scarlett's phone from Addison, Scarlett's ex of ten years.
Y/N's heart sank as she read the messages. They were friendly, but there was an undeniable familiarity and intimacy that made Y/N's blood run cold. She decided she couldn't stay silent any longer. That evening, as Scarlett walked through the door, Y/N confronted her.
"Scarlett, we need to talk." Y/N said, her voice trembling.
Scarlett looked up, her expression guarded. "What's wrong, baby?"
"I found messages from Addison on your phone," Y/N began, trying to keep her voice steady. "Why didn't you tell me she was back in your life?"
Scarlett's face paled, and she took a deep breath. "I didn't think it was a big deal. We're just friends now."
"Just friends?" Y/N's voice rose. "Why have you been so distant then? Why didn't you tell me about her?"
Scarlett sighed, running a hand through her hair. "I didn't want to worry you. Addison came back into my life suddenly, and it's been... complicated."
"Complicated how?" Y/N pressed, tears welling up in her eyes.
Scarlett hesitated before finally speaking. "Addison reached out to me. She wanted to meet up, and... I didn't hesitate to go. We've been seeing each other as friends, trying to be civil." Scarlett admitted, avoiding Y/N's gaze.
Y/N felt a sinking feeling in her chest. "Civil?" Y/N repeated, her voice breaking. "It doesn't seem like just civility, Scarlett. You've been distant, you've changed! What's going on?"
Scarlett looked at Y/N, pain etched on her face. "Seeing Addison again brought back a lot of memories, Y/N. Feelings I thought I had buried. We talked, and it was like we never lost communication. All the old feelings came rushing back."
Y/N's heart pounded in her chest. "What are you saying, Scarlett?"
"I... I still love Addison," Scarlett said quietly, the words hanging heavily in the air. "Seeing her again brought everything back."
Y/N felt like the ground had been pulled from under her. Tears welled up in Y/N's eyes. "So, in the two years we've been together, she was always in your heart? Then where was I, Scarlett? Did I ever mean anything to you?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Scarlett closed her eyes, a single tear escaping. "You were never there, Y/N. I thought I could move on, that I could love you the way you deserve. But it was never fully you. It never became you."
The room fell silent as Y/N absorbed the painful truth. Her heart shattered into pieces. She had given everything to Scarlett, only to find out she was living in someone else's shadow.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Y/N whispered, tears streaming down her face. "Why did you let me believe we had a future together?"
"I thought I could make it work," Scarlett replied, her own voice breaking. "I didn't want to hurt you. I thought if I just tried hard enough, I could let go of Addison."
"But you couldn't," Y/N said, her voice hollow. "And now I'm the one who's left broken."
"I'm so sorry, Y/N." Scarlett apologize.
"It's like, last night we were more than fine." Y/N said, letting out a teary laugh, "You only let me hold you because she can't."
"Forgive me, Y/N." Scarlett said, reaching out to touch Y/N's hand, but Y/N pulled away, her eyes filled with hurt and confusion.
"Don't mess with my head," Y/N shook her head, anger and hurt mingling in her voice. "You shouldn't have told me you're falling if your feet is still on the ledge."
Scarlett stepped closer, her eyes pleading. "I need you, Y/N. I need you in my life."
"Don't tell me that you need me," Y/N shook her head, stepping back further. "You can't keep doing this to me. You can't keep saying you need me when you still have one foot in the past."
Scarlett tried to approach Y/N again, leaning in to kiss her forehead, but Y/N stepped back, holding up her hand to stop her. "Don't kiss me, no, don't kiss me right now."
Scarlett's eyes filled with tears. "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I tried to move on, I tried to be the person you deserve, but I couldn't. Addison's presence brought back so many memories, so many feelings."
Scarlett's tears fell freely now. "I never meant to hurt you, Y/N. I thought I could love you and let go of Addison. But I failed. It was like old times, like no time had passed. We talked, and the spark was still there. I fell in love with her all over again. I'm so sorry. "
Y/N's heart shattered even more at Scarlett's words. She turned away, unable to bear the sight of the woman she loved admitting she loved someone else. "How could you do this to me? To us?"
Scarlett's voice was barely a whisper. "I'm sorry. I wish I could change how I feel, but I can't."
Y/N wiped her tears, her voice cracking. "I thought we had something special. I thought you loved me."
Scarlett stepped closer, desperate to make Y/N understand. "I do love you. But my love for Addison never went away. I thought it had, but I was wrong. I never meant to hurt you."
Y/N's voice was filled with resignation. "But you did. You hurt me more than I ever thought possible." Y/N took a deep breath, wiping away her own tears. "Scarlett, I loved you with everything I had. I gave you my heart, my soul, and you couldn't even see me. You were always looking back, never fully here with me."
"I know. And that's my biggest regret."
Y/N nodded, her resolve firming up. "I can't do this anymore. I can't keep pretending that everything's okay when it's not. You need to figure out what you really want, Scarlett. Because I can't be in a relationship where I'm second best."
Scarlett's heart broke as she realized the finality in Y/N's words. "I love you, Y/N. I do."
Y/N looked at her, pain etched across her face. "On your lips just leave it, if you don't mean it." she said softly, her voice breaking.
With that, Y/N walked out of the apartment, she felt a mix of anger, sadness, and confusion. The place that had once been a sanctuary now felt like a prison. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew she needed to get away from the pain, from the memories, from Scarlett.
Scarlett was left standing alone, the weight of her choices heavy on her shoulders. Scarlett watched Y/N leave, her own heart heavy with regret. She knew she had made a mistake, one that had cost her the most beautiful thing she had ever had. But it was too late. The damage was done, and she was left to face the consequences of her actions alone. As Y/N disappeared into the night, Scarlett knew that she had lost something irreplaceable, and she had no one to blame but herself.
As Y/N walked through the bustling streets of New York, the city lights blurred by her tears, she knew that she would have to find a way to heal from this heartbreak. She had loved Scarlett deeply, but in the end, it wasn't enough. Now, she had to learn to love herself again, to find her own way in a world that had suddenly become so much darker. She needed to figure out her own feelings and decide what to do next. All she knew right now was that her heart had been shattered, and it would take time to heal.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I looked out at the field below my window as I sat on the windowsill, a cigarette between my lips taking small puffs. A calming lull of security ran around me as Queen songs played on in the background. This was something I did when I knew my new mothers were out. It was a lot easier to hide when they hated me. Well, I guess they never hated me but when they decided to ignore me for my own benefit. Something I’m still getting used to is having two parents who care about my health. If they knew I smoked, they would freak out, I would probably get grounded for life.
I heard the elevator ding meaning someone was coming on to our floor which was odd because nobody but me and my mothers ever came up here. I quickly extinguished the cigarette in my hand and stashed the whole pack and my lighter away in a small nook right outside that was kept dry by a stone I shoved over top. I quickly sprayed some body spray around my room and settled back on the windowsill, music still playing in the background.
I heard a knock and yelled come in. My door opened and Bruce was standing in my doorway. “Your moms told me to feed you while they were gone, din-“ He stopped mid sentence and sniffed the air around him. “Why does it strongly smell like vanilla with a hint of cigarette smoke in here?” My heart rate picked up slightly but, on the outside, kept a calm façade. I shrugged flipping the knife in my hand around. “Y/N?”
“Its probably someone outside smoking. I had a candle lit not too long ago.” I muttered looking over at the man in the doorway. “What did my mothers say you were to do again?” I asked placing the switchblade on the dresser beside me.
“Right. Food is on the table in the kitchen. Its pizza and wings. Sorry I can’t cook like your mom.” He said with a small sheepish look on his face. I shrugged and grabbed my phone off my bed, following him as he walks out my door and towards the elevator.
“That’s fine. I was used to less than that before.” I said as he pushed the elevator button and the doors opened with a ding. I pushed past him lightly as I got on, him following up behind me and pressing the button for the main living floor where the kitchen was. We stood in silence as I scrolled through my phone.
“If you’re smoking you need to tell me.” He said out of the blue, making me look up at him with shock. “You’re thirteen years old. Your body is not ready to handle those types of things. Those drugs.” He said looking at me strongly.
I tried to play it cool. “If I was smoking Bruce, you wouldn’t know. I’m to smart for that.” I bit my lip looking down at my feet as the doors opened. I quickly stepped out of the elevator and made my way towards the kitchen trying to get away from him.
As I sat and ate my pizza, the doors opened revealing my two mothers, dirty but otherwise not looking to bad. “Detka.” I looked up and my face broke out into a giant smile. My safe people were home. It had been a week since my breakdown and they’ve been nothing but supportive in everything I need and I knew that tomorrow we would be having the conversation with Fury about taking me off missions, something that I was ridiculously looking forward to.
“Momma!” I said, hopping off the stool and running towards the two women. “Mama! You guys are back early! I thought you wouldn’t be back until early tomorrow morning!”
“We happened to finish early so we thought we would come home and spend the night together! Movie night?” Natasha said with a small smile as I wrapped myself up into their arms. Nat sniffed my head then pulled me back with a raised eyebrow.
My smile immediately faded as I looked up at the redhead in front of me. “Hi mama.” I said sheepishly. Her smile faded as well as she looked over at Wanda then back at me. “We have pizza…?”
“Why do I smell cigarette in your hair young lady?” She asked, nervously I shrugged and went back to the counter where my pizza was sitting. “No. Why do I smell cigarette in your hair?” I shrugged again and took a bite of my pizza, knowing it was fruitless to lie to them, but I still didn’t want to admit it to her.
“Natasha what are you talking about?” Wanda said, making her way over to me and placing a kiss on my head before she stopped and sniffed my hair as well. I knew I had forgotten to spray something, my hair. “You do smell like cigarette smoke. Why?” Wanda said, making me put down my piece of pizza.
I shrugged again but stopped when I heard a cough from beside me. “No lies. Truth. Now.” Instead of taking that properly, my whole body felt like an instant reaction to Wanda’s words, and I immediately went into defense.
“Why should I tell you the truth?” I snapped standing up. I pushed past the redhead on my left and found my way up the stairs and into my room. “FRIDAY, keep my door locked, no one can enter, not even Wanda and Natasha.” I opened my window and grabbed my cigarettes, quickly pulling one out and lighting it. I took a few puffs, tears falling down my face. “Why the fuck would they want to keep me now? You’re fucking stupid Molchalin. Why would they want to keep you now?”
My door was kicked open and, in the wake, stood my redhead mother looking at me with nothing but concern and worry. “Why did you run off detka? Why did you lock yourself in?” She said running towards me, ignoring the currently lit cigarette in my hands, and pulling me into her arms. I felt the cigarette get taken out of my hand and I instinctively wrapped my arms around Natasha, small sniffles coming out.
“I’m sorry mama! I’m sorry!” I cried out looking up at her. She shushed me, tucking a piece of red hair behind my ear and pulled me into her again. Rubbing my back to calm me down. “I’m sorry I lied, I’m sorry I smoked!”
“No more tears malyshka.” Wanda said pulling me into her arms next.
“We just want to know if you plan on continuing to smoke or if you want to stop. We would really like to help you stop. Youre so young detka.” Natasha said, sitting on my bed, prompting wanda and myself to sit next to her.
“It’s calming… it makes me feel serene… something I don’t get very often.” I mumbled, picking at my fingers, being held in my mothers arms. “It was more often from when you guys ignored me… it was easier to just feel spacey then deal with what I really felt on the inside.”
“From now on, when you feel the need to smoke, why don’t you come to one of us?” Wanda suggested, running her fingers through my hair. “You come to us and we talk about why you might be feeling that way rather than smoking and ruining your body hmm?” I looked up at her, eyes wide and full of fear.
“What if I’m not sure why I feel that way?” I mumbled looking back down at my fingers. “Sometimes I feel feelings, I don’t understand and its just easier to float away than feel them…”
“Well momma and I were talking on the flight back and we thought about maybe putting you in therapy… we all had to do it when we first got out of wherever we got out of and since your now in our care, we think it would be very helpful.” Natasha said braiding my hair in small sections. I shrugged holding the teddy they had recently gotten me, tightly in my arms.
“Its scary…”
“But it will be easier with us on your side. Now, movie and cuddles? I can go get the pizza and some snacks?” I immediately perked up when mama mentioned movie and cuddles and nodded my head quickly.
“Yes please!”

In this shot from "Lost in Translation," Bob, played by Bill Murray, and Charlotte, played by Scarlett Johansson, share a tender, contemplative moment after a night of karaoke in Tokyo. The dim, moody lighting and the zebra-patterned wall create an intimate, almost surreal atmosphere that displays their emotional connection amidst the vibrant yet alienating cityscape. Bob's thoughtful expression and Charlotte's relaxed posture, with her head resting on his shoulder, highlight the comfort and understanding they find in each other. This shot encapsulates their shared sense of loneliness and solace, forming a poignant bond amid Tokyo's bustling nightlife.

Natasha Romanoff x Bimbo!Reader
You’re a pretty assistant working at the Avengers’ compound. Your job is simple and easy cause, really, it’s the most you can handle. She gets frustrated at how you keep flaunting your assets at the men, especially other Avengers, Steve and Thor’s eyes practically popping out of their sockets as you bend over the table at a meeting and your cleavage shows. She decides to corner you in a room and teach you a lesson on what being an airheaded little tease gets you.
my first natasha fic! I'm so happy, I hope you like it!
summary - natasha is fed up with you flaunting everything to the other avengers.
warning - smut, female on female, fingering, swearing, slut, bimbo.
18+ only please, the gif I use isn't mine, divider by @newlips
How could you be so oblivious? Did you not know that you were showing everything off to everyone? You always come to work in tiny skirts and revealing tops. Natasha scowled in the corner of the room as she watched you bend over the table, gathering some of the spilled papers. Oblivious to Steve’s and Thor’s eyes practically popping out of their heads as they land on your cleavage. Her jaw clenches as you giggle, standing straight and letting out a small oops. You spin around, giving her a soft smile, her eyes stuck to your glossy lips. She desperately wanted to bend you over that table and punish you for being an oblivious slut.
The whole meeting, Natasha watched you, thinking of ways to teach you a lesson. When the meeting finished, you left the room, clueless to the many eyes watching your hips sway. She decided to follow and smiled when you walked into an empty room. Natasha locked the door behind her, stalking closer to you. She grips your hips and spins you around, a squeak falling from your lips as you stare at her wide-eyed. “You shouldn’t be such an airheaded little tease.” Her hand approaches your face, and her thumb rests on your bottom lip as she pushes it gently, staring into your eyes. “You might give someone the wrong idea, or maybe that’s what you want, huh? You want someone to fuck the bimbo out of you.”
You whimper, your lips wrap around her thumb, and you begin to suck automatically. You barely notice Natasha spreading your legs, her other hand sliding between them, and you moan when her fingers start to play with your puffy clit. “I–I…”
“No knickers?” She growls, glaring down at you as her fingers slide deep into your tight little hole. “You fucking slut, you were just asking for this.” She watches you whimper and squirm, still sucking her thumb as your eyes roll into the back of your head. “Always teasing me with your tiny skirts and tight shirts. Do you know hard it is to stay calm and not ruin you in front of everyone else?” She whispers. Her sultry voice causes your walls to clamp down on her fingers, whining as she curls them into your sweet spot. Her thumb rolled around your puffy clit, making you see stars.
Your lips pout when Natasha pulls her thumb from your mouth, only to moan as she places her lips against yours, moving them slowly as you lean into her. Her fingers curl, and her pace picks up. Your cunt pulses, and your back arches. You whine as your juices flow out, covering her, and she smirks, pulling them out and sticking them in her mouth. “Mm, you taste so good, baby.” The fingers in her mouth move to yours, and you moan around them as you suck your juices off. “You’re mine now. I’m the only one that gets to taste you, understand?” You nod, continuing to suck.
thank you for reading!

SJ - Wedding Day
Hey! I'm transferring my writing over here from Wattpad and AO3!
Summary: Scarlett and Reader get married
Pairings: Scarlett and Reader
Warnings: Swearing
I also have accounts on Wattpad and AO3! The users there are @ paige_vers
Please give me requests! You can submit them here or on my insta, @ scarlettsoutset
ᨖᨖೱᨖ⧗ᨖⴵᨖ🕷️ᨖⴵᨖ⧗ᨖೱᨖᨖ
The day had finally come. The day you were marrying the love of your life. You had waited for this day since you were a little girl, playing with your barbies. Of course then you only thought that boys and girls could get married, and not girls and girls or boys and boys. But now you are marrying your girlfriend of 8 years.
As you stepped into your (clothing if choice), you felt someone's hands snake around your waist. You look back and see your soon-to-be wife, Scarlett.
"You know it's bad luck to see each other before the ceremony." You say as you lean back into her.
"I just couldn't wait any longer." She says as she turns you around and gives you a small peck on the lips. "You look beautiful my love."
"As do you. I can't wait to finally be your wife."
"Soon enough, y/n, soon enough."
As you walk through the doors leading to the park outside, you look down the aisle and see Scarlett at the altar, beaming at you. 'Fuck she's gorgeous' you think to yourself. You are about to walk down the aisle with your uncle, Phillip, but you always call him Uncle P. He took you in after your dad kicked you out for being lesbian. He was more like a dad than your actual dad was.
"You ready?" your uncle asks while patting your hand.
"Ready than ever" you say without taking your eyes off of Scarlett. She looked stunning in her dress. As you make your way towards the altar, everything else around you is a blur. All your friends and family standing for you, the music in the background, the soft chirping of birds in the trees around you. None of that matters. All that matters at this moment is you and Scarlett.
The walk seems so long, but you eventually get there. You look into Scarlett's eyes and you get lost in them, just like the first day you met her. Those sparkling green eyes that glimmer when the light hits them just right.
The moment of truth is here. I already know our answers, but I was still nervous.
"Y/n L/n, do you take Scarlett Johansson to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do."
"Scarlett Johansson, do you take y/n l/n to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do."
"You may now kiss your bride."
The kiss is full of love and passion. Nothing but pure love for each other. You smile into her as you both pull away, ears full with cheering from the people here to support you. Resting your forehead on her head you whisper "I love you"
"I love you more"
You peck her on the lips and say "not possible."

Or anyone who’s not g!p idk I just don’t want to make anyone upset or do something that’s transphobic

Hi! I’ve been really enjoying your stories, and I want to share this feedback with the utmost respect. In your most recent fic, where the reader confesses their feelings for Natasha while drunk, I noticed something that stood out to me. It seems like the same conversation happens twice in different ways. First, Natasha tells the reader she knew about their feelings all along, and later, there’s a similar moment where Natasha repeats that she knew, which makes the reader surprised again. I wasn’t sure if this repetition was intentional or something that slipped through during editing. I really love the story overall, but this part felt a bit redundant, and I think it could have ended naturally after the moment where Natasha leads the reader to get water.
Only mentioning this because I notice it does happen in most of your stories. Again, great work—I’m really enjoying your writing.
Heyy, thanks for ur Feedback!
Yes, I definitely see where ur coming from.. I guess sometimes I jus get to caught up in my stories while editing them. I also want them to be a certain length so yea idk I think it's jus my type of writing haha.
I'm sorry if it bothers you in a way.. I think it fitted the story, i like whenever the reader and Nat get to the point where their feelings are revealed and then later they revisit them in a situation that has died down from the "climax of the story".. yk what I mean? I'm really sorry that's something you don't like about my stories :/
But anyways, Id like to get ur guys opinion, regarding my next stories.
I'll try to change my writing style a little depending on what the results gonna be by the end of this week.. I can't promise anything at all, sometimes it jus slips thru.. I hope you'll read my stories anyway🫶🏼.

Secret feelings
Jess x FemReader
Warnings: fluff, little bit of angst
Summary: You decided to tell Jess about your feelings, and she has somwthing to tell you
Word count: 1510
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You've been in love with Jess since you two had met at college, but you never had self-confidence to admit that to her. And now, she's going to be married. Yeah, it hurted. A lot. But at the same time, you were happy for her. She found love, she's making a career. So if she is happy, you also are happy.
So now, here you are in Miami. At first it sounds pretty cool. A weekend with old friends and a woman who you secreatly love. Oh, and Pippa, Jess's friend from her semester in Australia, she's really nice.
But back to point, it would be delightful time, if Alice didn,t jump on that fucking striper. After you called Blair's uncle and he said you, that you can face up to fifteen years in prison, you threw the body into the ocean. But your lovely neighbors have fucking security cameras.
So know, you're standing on the balcony, watching Blair with them. To be honest, it's not what you would love to watch right know, but it's better than the police watching a video, where you're throwing a body into the ocean, so it will do.
After a few minutes you looked at Jess, who was watching the whole scene with binoculars. You chuckled at that.
And then you thought, now or never. If that what Blair is doing right now, won't work, you'll go to prison. So you decided that it couldn't be worse and you'll tell Jess about your feelings to her. You walked to her and leaned to whisper to her ear.
"Jess."
"Yeah?" She whispered back, slightly confused, why yu were whispering.
"Can we talk? In privet, please." You looked at her with pleadings eyes and she nodded.
You took her hand and pulled towards the door. You saw that Alice was looking at you both with a questioning expression, but it didn't matter.
You walked upstairs into one of bedrooms. After you closed the door you turned around to Jess, who was standing next to dresser. She was looking at you with concern.
"Y/N what happened?" She walked over to you and took your hands in hers.
"Jess" You grabbed her hands even tighter.
"Y/N?"
"You know, if they won't give us the video we will go to jail. And I know you're getting married soon, so it's not the best moment for that, but it is the best moment for that." You started getting nervous and think that it was not the best ideo to tell her now.
"Y/N what the fuck are you talking about?!" She yelled and let go of your hands.
"Jess, I'm trying to say that I'm in love with you!" You yelled back with tears in your eyes. "I've been in love with you since we met! That's what I'm talking about." You started crying after that.
She was staring at you and didn't say anything. She wasn't crying, screaming that you never told her and that she's getting married and that you're fucking insane. The girls were long forgotten.
"Y/N what do you mean?" Jess's broken voice broke the silence.
"It doesn't matter." You shook your head. "Let's go downstairs, maybe they already finished." You laughed and grabbed the handle to open the door, but Jess stopped you closing them again.
"It does matter. It does fucking matter, because you just told me you're in love with me Y/N, SINCE FUCKING COLLEGE!" She also had tears in her eyes now.
"AND WHAT YOU'LL DO ABOUT THAT?! LEAVE PETER? TELL GIRLS? OR MAYBE YOU WILL TELL ME THAT YOU'RE IN LOVE ME TOO?" You were screaming at each other and you didn't even notice that.
"YES, I'VE BEEN IN LOVE WITH YOU!" She screamed back. And that made you speechless. "For a long time, but you never noticed that and I thought that you would never feel the same, so I started dating and then I met Peter and just, I don't know." She sat down on the bed, lookinh at the wall in front of her.
You sat down next to her and grabbed her hand again, squeezing it.
"So, what do we do now?" You asked shyly.
"We'll go downstairs, tell them about that, then I'll call Peter and say that it's not going to work out."
You looked at her and you couldn't believe your ears. She wants to cancel the wedding? Because of you?
"You want to cancel the weeding? Because I told you I'm in love with you? Jess, I don't-" She put her hand on your mouth to silence you.
"I'm not doing this because you told me... Well, yeah I'm doing this because you told me, but also because I feel the same" She took your face into her hands and looked into your eyes. "I'm doing this because I fucking love you Y/N." And she kissed you. SHE FUCKING KISSED YOU. ON THE LIPS.
You kissed back immediately. Her lips were so soft, you were in heaven. Until she pulled back, what made you whine. She smirked and that made you realize what you did, you blushed.
"Now, darling, we're going downstairs and we're going to tell them that the weeding is cancel, but there is new relationship." She got up and pulled you up with her. Befor you left the room she had kissed you.
She held your hand all the way and when girls saw that, they looked at each other and at you two again.
"Care to explain?" Alice asked, sitting on the couch next to Frankie, who also was looking at you with big eyes.
"Wait, wait ,wait. Wait a minute! Are you two? Oh my god!" Pippa stood up, almost falling over. "What about Peter? I mean fuck him, but what about the weeding?" She walked to you, smiling.
"Yes, we just admitted that." You answered her question, putting you arms around Jess's waist.
"And I'm going to call Peter and tell him that I want to cancel the weeding." Jess added.
All four of them stared at you and only Pippa was smiling, what made you a little nervous and you could feel that Jess was a little worried too.
After a while, Frankie stood up and hugged you both. "Fuck him and fuck the weeding. You're finally happy and that matters."
"What dou you mean 'finally'?" You asked confused, hugging Jess even more.
"Something that always amuzed me is that, we knew that you have feelings for each other, but you both are too stubborn to admit that. But look, here we are, finally."
Jess started laughing and you were looking at Frankie with big eyes. "Really? And you never told me that?! You little bitch." After that you started laughing too.
"So, to be specific, we had killed a striper, we throwed his body into the ocean, I had to seduce these people to get a fucking video that doesn't even exist.
"Wait, what do you mean, it doesn't exist?" Jess asked Blair, slightly confused, just like you. A lot happened when you were absent.
"These cameras doesn't work." Alice answered.
"Yeah, and now you're telling me us, you want to cancel the weeding, because you two love each orher and you admitted that adter all these years?" Blair asked, looking at you, trying to understant what just happened.
"Yeah, you just summed up our trip to Miami." You said, still hugging Jess and she kissed you on the cheek. Frankie started clapping.
"Awsome." Blair reached out for a glass of wine and took a sip.
"So, we just summarized our trip, but excuse me for a moment I have to make a call to cancel my weeding." Jess kissed you and went to the kitchen to call Peter. You didn't want to go with her, it was already complicated.
You turned to the girls. "It was really that obvious we have feeling for each other?" They all nodded, except Pippa and you looked at her.
"We just met, but now I think yes, you could see it."
"Okay, so let's celebrate. The video doesn't exist, me and Jess admitted that we love each other and you knew that. But the most importnat thing, we got the rid of the body." You said cheerfully.
"I'm going to get something stronger." Alice said and she stood up quickly.
"Well, Y/N there is a little problem." Frankie said.
"What?"
"The body has washed up back on the shore." Frankie said quickly, that you almost didn't understand her.
"Alice bring whiskey or vodka, please." You said to Alice and you went to tell Jess that it wasn't over.
THE PHOTOGRAPHER AND ACTRESS | scarlett johansson
big reputation, you and me, we'd be a big conversation. it's like your eyes are liquor, it's like your body is gold. you've been calling my bluff on all my usual tricks, so here's the truth from my red lips. i do not give permission for my work to be copied or translated on other sites. plagiarism is a crime!! masterlist whispers of heartache m.list
Y/N'S POV
I'm here today taking pictures for an event, at the red carpet.
My bestfriend is a famous actor and well me, I'm a professional photographer.
If you're wondering who's my bestfriend is, it's the Scarlett fucking Johansson. we met—well, bumped into eachother a few years ago causing her to accidentally spill the coffee she's holding all over my shirt and keep apologising even I told her that it was okay.
She took me out for dinner as apology. I declined at first but she kept telling me that even if I don't want to, she's still gonna take me out. so I said yes, and after that we just instantly click.
Now, we're bestfriends.
Oh, oh, wait, let me tell you a secret. She's also my girlfriend, cool right? I know!
Everyone knows that she's in a relationship but we actually didn't tell the public except our close friends and family that it was me, the public knows that we're just really close friends.
As I keep taking pictures of other celebrities, she finally arrived.
Fucking goddess. She looks ethereal and she's mine. My scarlett, my girlfriend.
She keep looking around until her eyes landed on me and gave me her gorgeous smile. I could die now. Right here, right now.
She walked towards the middle and everyone starts shouting her name.
"Over here, Scarlett!"
"Look to the right!"
"Scarlett, look over here!"
"To the left!"
There's lot of people shouting her name but she just stood still and look into my camera. Posing for only my camera, for me.
What the fuck?
All the other photographers are now looking at me. I took the camera away from my eye and glared at her before I mouthed 'stop.'
But instead of stopping and posed for others, she just smiled before walking away. I heard everyone whispering and some look at me and mutter a 'what the fuck.'
"I'm sorry." I smiled and start packing up.
"I'm gonna beat your ass, motherfucker." I muttered as I go behind the red carpet.
I passed a security and asked me what I need, "Hi! Sorry, I just need some photos with miss Johansson for our program, is that alright?"
"Wait here." He said and walked towards Scarlett who's standing with some friends.
The security talked to her until he pointed at me, smile form into her face before walking over, "Thank you, sir." I said before pulling Scarlett to the corner, out of anyone's eye.
"What was that back there!?" I whisper shout.
"What? I was posing." She casually said. "Yeah, for me. Only for my camera! You can't—" I didn't even get to finish my sentenced when she kissed me. How rude.
"You can't blame me, you're the only one I see." Scarlett said before kissing me once again.
"Stop kissing me, someone might see." I said and playfully gave her a glare.
"Alright, okay, fine. Can I atleast have a hug?" She asked, giving me her best puppy eyes and arms wide open.
I rolled my eyes and hugged her. I felt her pulling me even closer and pressing me to her body.
"Scar?" I whisper.
"Hmm?"
"You're hugging me because you want to feel my boobs, right?"
"Yeah."
very short one. feedback and reblog is highly appreciated!
I Wanna Believe (that we're a masterpiece)
Pairing: Carol Danvers/Natasha Romanoff
Summary: Natasha seems to be unable to take care of herself, so Carol decides she will the one to do that
Disclaimer: English is not my first language
Read on AO3
The first time it happens, Carol had a small smile on her face while one of her hands held a piece of cloth to Natasha's shoulder, using the other hand to apply pressure from the other side. Natasha hadn't been shot, but one of the guys they were fighting against had pushed her through a window and, well, she got a small little cut.
"It's not small," Clint had argued after everyone joined the group when the fight was over. "It's pretty nasty, actually."
"I've had worse," was her reply and, well, she wasn’t lying.
Even so, Clint insisted that she put something to stop the bleeding and Steve had betrayed her when he said she looked a bit pale, and that's how Natasha found herself sitting at the back of a van while the team got back to the compound. Clint was driving and, usually, they would be the only ones there because everyone else could quite literally fly around, but Captain Marvel said she would ride with them to make sure Natasha would actually take care of her injury.
The redhead spent the first minute or two just staring at the other woman, wondering why she was there - not just the van, but Earth as well since she wasn’t known for spending too much time on her home planet before leaving again - but her resolve faltered when Clint's reckless driving made an appearance, making her jump when the car hit a hole. She hissed in pain and that's when Carol came forward to take a look at her shoulder. She had to slap Natasha's hand away, though with an amused grin, before deciding she was more fitting to the job of holding the cloth in place.
"It's not half as bad as you're all making it seem," Natasha complained after a moment, although her voice didn’t have the bite to it that she was aiming for.
Carol looked up, all bright brown eyes and a lopsided smile, and her hot breath hit the side of Natasha's face without her noticing it. The Russian woman did, though, and she had to make a conscious effort to keep her eyes locked into brown ones.
"Yes, we all know you will survive," Carol teased her. "But I also guess you don't have blood bags spreading around to use if you keep bleeding like this."
"I'm not bleeding that much," Natasha mumbled, only slightly irritated.
"Well, you're welcome."
Carol shrugged so nonchalantly that Natasha couldn’t do anything else other than laugh at the gesture. The blonde seemed content with the reaction she got and her eyes shined like the stars that the woman flew by every day in space. Her smile also widened and she looked smug for a second before Clint hit another hole, making them both jump.
"Guess you're right," Carol said, "you're in more danger of dying in a car crash in the next few minutes than from this wound."
Natasha didn’t reply, mostly because she knew she should actually fear for her life there. That's why she didn’t let Clint drive.
[...]
Alcohol, cotton and antiseptic were involved the second time. They were safe from Clint's driving, but Carol had followed Natasha to the bathroom when their post-fight meeting at the compound ended. They had won, once again, however not without throwing a few punches and being at the other end as well. Carol frowned when she saw Natasha entering the room with Captain America by her side, one side of her face already turning a sickening shade of yellow and purple. Her bottom lip was split, swollen as well, as half of her face was, but the woman didn’t seem even a little disturbed by that.
She endured all the talk, the jokes the boys liked to throw around, and then even helped Tony to set a few things on a computer before she walked out to the hall. That's when Carol followed her, making sure she would do something with her injuries. Natasha entered the hallway bathroom seconds later and, before she could close the door behind her, Carol stepped inside behind her.
"The hell?!"
"Let me take a look at it," Carol said before the redhead could actually start screaming at her.
Natasha, on the other hand, only scoffed as if the idea was too ridiculous to be considered. "It's just a bruise. It will heal just fine."
"Your lip is bleeding," the other woman pointed out without trying to hide her worry.
"Yes, that's what happens when someone punches you in the face," Natasha dismissed with an eye roll. "I'm sure you know."
"I know it can happen, yes," Carol answered slowly, "although I don't remember the feeling of it. It must be hurting, though."
Natasha didn’t answer her right away as she was expecting though. Carol was kind of waiting for the woman to snap again, but Natasha only looked at her with what seemed to be a curious expression on her face before she rolled her eyes again and turned to open a cabinet. She pulled a first aid kit from there and, making it look to be the hardest thing she ever did in her life, handed it to Carol, who just smiled happily at her. Moments later, the blonde was cleaning the blood from her chin with a wet cotton ball while holding her face with the other hand.
While her eyes focused on the injury, Natasha's eyes paid close attention to the superhero. To the crinkle between her brows while she was concentrating on the task in her hands, to the stray blonde hair falling down her face, to the strong shoulders beneath the red and blue suit, to the hands that were callous but handled her so gently. Natasha had a hard time thinking after that and, before she noticed it, Carol was pulling away from her with a smile.
"There!" She declared happily. "I think putting some ice on it will help with the swelling, so you should do that."
"I'm fine," Natasha said and immediately looked away when she noticed that her voice was just above a whisper. "Thanks."
"No problem. Just try to keep yourself in one piece next time, yes?"
[...]
She did try, Natasha could argue, but she was also working for the craziest team in the world and they deal with a lot of shitty situations.
So, of course, the third time happened not long after the day in the bathroom.
This time, she got a concussion after an explosion that threw her back several feet. She got up to her feet pretty fast and made sure she took down some of the bad guys before she could get too dizzy to do so. Steve made sure the fight was over while Natasha tried to hide the fact that the world around her was spinning, but she wasn’t so lucky when Carol approached her, already putting a hand on her shoulder.
"You okay?"
Her voice sounded distant, so very far away that it was almost like Natasha had her head underwater. The redhead tried to focus on the face in front of her - the worried eyes and the lips pursed in a fine line - but there were suddenly two Carols in front of her and it was hard to keep standing. Even so, she wasn’t about to say that out loud.
"Sure." She tried to push herself away, to put some space between them and to prove she was fine, but her body wobbled before she could get too far and, suddenly both of Carol's hands were holding her arms to keep her standing. "Do you work here now?" Natasha asked, trying to change the subject. "Like… all the time? Thought your office was, like, up space."
"The amount of times you said 'like' is all the answer I need, really," Carol said with just a bit of humor. "You need to sit down."
"No, I'm fine."
Which would've been a lie if she ever managed to finish the sentence, but, just as she opened her mouth, she felt the bile at the back of her throat. Carol noticed the way her face twisted and got a yellowish color, which gave her enough time to get out of the way when Natasha leaned forward and let all the contents of her stomach meet the floor.
"Okay," Carol drew the word slowly while her hand kept touching the back of the other woman, making sure she wouldn’t fall face-first on the floor. "Guess someone needs to lay down."
"I don't," Natasha tried to insist, but it only made Carol roll her eyes.
Natasha wasn't able to notice things around her or register the conversations that followed. If she did, she would have argued when Carol told Bruce that she needed medical assistance and she certainly wouldn’t have agreed when the superhero said it would be safer if Carol took her back to the compound. Natasha wasn't okay though and all she could do was grab Carol's arm to stop her from picking her up from the floor.
"I can walk," Natasha said.
Carol hesitated for a moment, looking at the woman up and down twice to be sure. "I don't think you can."
The redhead scoffed. "Watch me."
She took one step forward and then suddenly the world around her began to spin in a way that almost made her puke again. She didn't. Instead, the spinning came to an end when everything went black as she fell.
Natasha regained her consciousness slowly. She could hear a steady beep from a machine that she knew was measuring her heartbeats, she could feel a very uncomfortable bed she was lying on, she could smell the antiseptic. She knew she was in a hospital bed before she even opened her eyes, although she instantly regretted it when the white light above her made her eyes burn and her head hurt.
"Yeah, not very wise to do it now."
The voice came from her right side and Natasha turned her head to that direction before she could stop herself, glaring at the woman sitting beside her. Carol had her legs crossed on a chair, flipping through a magazine, and looking very mundane wearing some normal clothes for once. Jeans and a band t-shirt that looked old and worn out. Even if her head was hurting and her eyes teared up because of the brightness, Natasha still forced herself to look at Carol because… well, she was there and she was a sight that couldn’t be missed.
The blonde flipped the pages twice more before she stole a glance at Natasha. "Try not to move your head so much. It will make you dizzy."
Natasha tried to speak then, but her mouth felt dry as if there were a dozen cotton balls inside it. She closed her eyes, trying to focus on a single movement to wet her lips, although she knew it was useless. When she opened her eyes again, Carol’s attention had gone back to the magazine and Natasha didn’t have another option other than to look at her profile for a while. Her tense jaws, her frowned brows, the lack of her usual smile.
"You mad," she muttered in her raspy voice that made her throat burn and her lips crack a bit.
It wasn’t a question. She knew Carol was mad. It was pretty obvious. Even so, she saw the other woman sigh and close the magazine with a harsh movement before her hand raised to pinch the bridge of her nose as her eyes closed. It lasted just a short moment, but she seemed tired when she looked at Natasha.
"I should call for the doctor to check on you. I kinda forgot how this hospital thing works."
"Why?" Natasha asked.
"'Cus I can't get hurt, remember?" Was Carol's answer, but she was already at the door by the time she said it and Natasha didn’t have the chance to clarify she was asking why Carol was there.
The doctor entered the room alone a few minutes later, smiling politely, and Natasha had to endure several tests that the man wanted to make. He told her she had been out for only a few hours, mostly due to the sedatives, and that it was normal for her not to remember entering the hospital or anything like it. He also explained she had a bad concussion and a wound at the back of her head that, luckily, didn’t need stitches.
"It was a bad motorcycle accident," he commented after making Natasha follow the light at the end of his pen with her eyes for a while. "But you will be fine."
It only took her a moment to realize that was the cover story Carol had come up with since they couldn’t exactly say Natasha had survived a bomb explosion that some crazy dude used to try to stop the Avengers from getting him. So, a motorcycle accident it is. Well, Natasha was glad that most people would fall for any lie without too much questioning.
"Your wife had been very worried about you."
Natasha's eyes met his face so fast that her head spun again. "What?"
The man, who was writing down a few things on her chart, used his pen to point at the door that Carol left before. "Your wife. She had been pacing around the room and driving our nurses crazy with her questions." He didn't seem angry about it, though. In fact, he had a soft smile when he kept writing. "She was pretty scared when she entered the ER with you, from what they told me. Your head was bleeding pretty badly and she had to carry you with something to try to stop the blood."
"She's not my wife," was all Natasha could say to all of that.
Which, of course, earned her a stare from the man. He considered her words for a second, then he shrugged and started putting the chart back in its place at the foot of her bed. "Well, put a ring on it, then. And try not to do any tricks with a bike again, okay?"
He left and Natasha was only alone for a moment before the door opened again and Carol entered the room. "They want to hold you for the night to make sure you're okay."
"No," Natasha quickly replied.
Carol sighed. "I knew you would say that, so I told them we would like to leave. I suppose they're just doing some paperwork for that now."
Natasha felt her body relax a bit knowing she wouldn’t have to stay there for much longer, although it didn't last long when she noticed that Carol hadn’t moved far from the door yet. "What?"
"I'm not mad," the blonde said eventually. "You got me pretty worried."
"Sorry," Natasha mumbled.
"I asked you to stay in one piece." Natasha arched one eyebrow that said way more than her words ever could. Noticing the gesture, Carol sighed again. "I know you have to fight the bad guys and all, but… that's the third time I had to stop you from bleeding to death."
"I was hardly bleeding the other times," Natasha quickly argued.
"Well, this time you were," Carol interrupted her just as fast, her voice raising without her noticing it. She did once the last word was out and the blonde took a deep breath to regain control over her emotions again. "Just… rest for a while longer until they come to discharge you."
"Why do you care?" Natasha had asked when they were walking out of the hospital almost two hours later. She saw Clint waiting for them at the other side of the parking lot, but she didn’t know what possessed her to ask the question.
"Because I care about you," Carol replied calmly.
"Why?" Natasha pressed.
The blonde turned to face her with such serenity written all over her expression that Natasha couldn’t come up with any reply after what she said. "Is it too hard to believe that I just do?"
Natasha didn’t bother saying that no one else in her life had ever cared.
Somehow, she knew that Carol was aware of that.
[...]
The fourth time was a bit ridiculous, if Natasha was the one to say it.
She was cooking, something that wasn’t normal but also didn’t mean the world was ending.
Well, it could be ending because Tony, Steve and Bruce left a few hours prior to some mission, however, they said no one else needed to go with them. Clint had taken the opportunity to go spend some time with his family, which meant that Natasha would be the only one in the compound for the night. That’s what she thought when she walked to the kitchen to open the fridge and see what they had that could serve as a quick dinner. She was looking at a carton of milk, trying to find out if it had expired already or not, when she noticed someone was approaching her.
“Boo!”
Natasha didn’t even blink when Carol jumped inside the kitchen with her arms raised and a large smile that fitted her joyful little prank very well. The blonde froze for a second when she got no reaction from the other woman, but her smile didn’t falter when she walked closer to Natasha.
“I thought I could succeed with that one,” she commented when she leaned against the counter beside the fridge.
Natasha glanced at her for a second. “I am a trained spy, you know?”
Carol shrugged and reached out to grab an apple from the fruit bowl. “What are you doing?”
“Dinner,” the redhead replied as she watched the superhero bite down at the fruit.
It shouldn’t be a sexual gesture at all, but Natasha had to look away when she realized some dirty thoughts trying to break free. Carol was gorgeous, there was no denying that. Actually, anyone with functional eyes would be able to agree that she was beautiful. She was taller than Natasha, her arms filled her suit very well and she just had this energy on her that was hard to miss. She wasn’t wearing her suit that night, though, choosing a sleeveless tank top and loose sweat pants, with her hair pulled in a ponytail and bare feet touching the floor without a care in the world. The fact is that Carol Danvers was a gorgeous woman and Natasha had eyes, thank you very much, but the biggest problem was that they had been spending more time together since the blonde seemed to decide she would stay on Earth for a while. She wasn’t just gorgeous, Natasha didn’t take too long to notice. Carol was smart, brave, compassionate, charming, sarcastic and fun to be around. She could put up with Natasha’s smart mouth and they spent several nights playing chess or checkers, something that was way more fun than it should be.
It all meant that now Natasha was finding the act of eating an apple way sexier than she should and it bothered her so much that she had to look away and grab something else inside the fridge.
“Oh, sweet!” Carol exclaimed after she chew. “You’re making dinner?”
“Are you hungry?” Natasha asked instead of saying she was planning on eating whatever she found inside the fridge.
“Yeah!”
And that’s how Natasha found herself cutting things at the long-forgotten cutting board that she was sure Pepper put there for them. Carol tried to help at first, but Natasha took the knife from her hand when the woman accidentally cut through the first cutting board. After that, she sat at the counter again, as if the kitchen didn’t have dozens of chairs for her to do it, and chatted with Natasha while the other woman took care of everything.
“What are you going to do?”
“A Russian typical dish,” Natasha answered. “Raw fish with uncooked potatoes.”
Carol blinked. “Uh-”
The shorter woman looked up with a teasing smile. “I’m messing with you.”
“Oh,” Carol breathed out in relief, putting her hand against her chest when a laugh escaped her lips. “Wow, for a second I thought you were trying to kill me.”
Natasha shook her head in amusement and returned to her task of chopping some parsley. “I’m sure you ate worse things during your trips.”
“Well, yes, but I have high hopes here,” the superhero joked. “So, really, what are you cooking?”
“Golubtsi,” Natasha replied in perfect Russian to someone that didn’t even have an accent. “It is typical from Russia, actually. I think you might like it, but I will warn you that I haven’t cooked this dish for a very long time.”
“I’m sure it will taste great,” Carol said with a soft smile as she watched the woman.
“You made me curious,” Natasha changed the subject suddenly. “What’s the worse thing you ever ate?”
Carol thought about it for a moment, tapping her chin with a finger, before she looked back at Natasha with a grimace. “Not the worse, but the weirdest. Tentacles.”
The redhead arched one eyebrow at her. “Tentacles?” She repeated, receiving a nod in confirmation. “Of what?”
“To this day, I have no idea.” Carol’s face contorted in disgust and a visible shiver ran down her body, which made Natasha laugh lowly. “And I think it’s better if I never find out.”
“Poor Space Cadet,” Natasha teased as she moved to put the parsley inside a bowl so she could cut the onion.
“Space Cadet,” Carol scoffed even if she smiled widely at the stupid nickname.
Natasha only smiled to herself and moved to grab the onion, however, she stopped herself when she saw the jar of olives she took from one of the cabinets. She forgot about it before because her plans included eating the olives while she cooked, so she decided to open it now. Natasha used a cloth to dry her hands and then tried to spin the metal lid to open it, but it didn’t move even slightly. She knew she could open it, really, but her eyes caught Carol just sitting there kicking her legs like a small child and it was an easy decision. The redhead walked closer to the superhero and held the jar in front of her.
“I know I can use warm water to lose the lid and open it, but you’re here and I think you can be a perfect jar opener,” Natasha said before she gestured with the jar when Carol didn’t move to grab it.
The blonde then took it from her hand with an eye roll and had no problem opening the jar with a single movement that didn’t even make her muscles tense. She handed it back to Natasha, who was now smiling gladly at the open jar, and crossed her arms next. “Is that all I am to you?” She joked.
“No,” Natasha answered with an olive already inside her mouth. “I’m pretty sure you could open the tomato sauce can too.”
Natasha winked at her, smiling, then turned around to put the olives inside a small container while Carol huffed, trying to pretend she was mad. The Russian woman had just grabbed the knife again when she realized how domestic it all seemed. Carol watching her cook, opening a freaking jar for her, laughing at her lame jokes and just being there with her soft smile. And Natasha was cooking for her. And she thought about a dish that the woman would like, and she wanted to make small talk, and she wanted to find out everything about Carol Danvers.
Because she liked her.
As soon as that thought crossed her mind, the knife descended to cut the onion, finding her finger instead.
“Fuck,” Natasha hissed, letting go of the knife and the onion out of instinct as she took a step back to take a look at the damage.
Before she could, however, Carol jumped from the counter and was standing in front of her so fast that Natasha barely noticed her move. “Let me see,” the woman demanded, all joy gone from her voice.
She held Natasha’s wrist gently, praying for her to let her see, and the redhead didn’t have to think much before letting the woman take her already bloody hand in her own. The cut on her index finger wasn’t that deep, but blood was running freely from it and the burning she felt couldn’t be ignored. Carol tried to look at it for a while, but the blood didn’t let her assemble how bad it was, so she pulled Natasha towards the sink carefully, where she turned the faucet on and put Natasha’s finger under the running water.
“Sorry,” Carol mumbled when the other woman hissed again. “Just making sure you didn’t cut anything important.”
Natasha bit her bottom lip to stop herself from replying, deciding it was better not to try to fight the worried Carol since it didn’t do her any good the other times she tried. Carol only relaxed when the blood cleaned enough for her to see that Natasha hadn’t accidentally almost chopped her finger off and that it wasn’t so bad that she would need stitches. She actually sighed in relief and her shoulders relaxed so visibly that Natasha stared at her with her eyebrows raised.
“It won’t stop bleeding until we hold something on it,” Carol said after a while, already looking around to find something she could use. She finally saw the paper towel at a reaching distance, which she promptly grabbed to take a few from the roll. She took Natasha’s hand from the water and wrapped her finger with the paper towel, holding it tightly. “Come on, let’s make a bandage.”
“There’s no need for that,” Natasha stopped her before she could start pulling her towards the bathroom. “It will stop in a few minutes.”
“It could get infected,” the blonde argued.
Natasha looked at her with both brows raised high. “I thought you forgot how to take care of wounds.”
When Carol’s cheeks flushed a light shade of pink, Natasha just knew her answer would mean something. “I made some research,” she mumbled under her breath before giving Natasha’s arm a gentle pull. “Come on, let’s at least put a band-aid at it. Humor me,” she added when she noticed the other woman was about to deny it again.
It was perhaps the way her lips curled up again, but Natasha found herself agreeing with that even if she thought it was ridiculous. They walked to the bathroom where Carol grabbed the first aid kit that she knew was there, all while Natasha watched her moves carefully as if she was trying to understand something or crack one of the difficult codes she used to hack computers with. Carol tried not to pay attention to that while she grabbed something to clean the wound first.
“That’s the fourth time you bleed in my presence. I’m starting to pick up a pattern,” Carol joked to break the sudden heavy mood that fell on the room.
“Is that why you made research?” Natasha asked quickly.
Carol opened and closed her mouth a few times, clearly not sure how to respond to that, until she sighed and shrugged. She took the bloody paper towel from Natasha’s finger to put it under water again while she put the antiseptic on the cotton. “Well, I just thought it wouldn’t hurt to know a few things. I mean, I knew, I just had to remember. It has been a while since I needed stitches or a bandage.” She paused then, refusing to take her eyes away from the injured finger. “Humans are very… vulnerable.”
The last sentence was said in a whisper and Natasha wasn’t sure if she was supposed to hear that or not. She did, however, she had no idea how to reply to that. It wasn’t exactly what Carol said, but how she said it. Natasha knew from her late-night conversations with Carol over the chessboard that the blonde could only worry about the safety of her family while she was away in space, so she could assume that the superhero wasn’t talking only about herself getting constantly injured while Carol was around. Even so, it did seem like she was. Natasha averted looking at the other woman’s face when her stomach churned and it was only then that she realized Carol’s hands started to shake at some point.
“I’m going to be fine,” Natasha said. “It’s just a small cut, you know?”
When Carol looked up, Natasha offered her a smile that was equally reassuring and amused. The blonde held her breath for a second before she chuckled and turned to grab a band-aid. “Sorry. Guess I’m still a little shaken after taking you to the hospital,” she teased while placing the band-aid in the right place. “There you go. I’m not a doctor, but I think it’s safe to say you’re going to be just fine.”
“I told you so,” the Russian declared without removing her hand from Carol’s grasp. “You didn’t need to worry.”
“But I do.” Carol frowned and looked down. “I know you’re a very strong, capable woman that could probably kick my ass if you want to, but…”
Natasha waited for the rest of the sentence, but it never came. Instead, Carol brushed her finger over the band-aid. The shorter woman followed the movement with her eyes before she raised them to look at the woman standing in front of her. She wouldn’t be able to explain what possessed her to do it, but Natasha suddenly leaned forward. The tip of her nose brushed against Carol’s and she gave the woman enough time to stop her if she wished. Carol didn’t and she understood that as a sign that it was okay to keep going.
Their lips met in a soft touch that made Carol gasp. Natasha smiled into the kiss when she heard it and the smile quickly became a giggle, a sound that the redhead didn't make very often. Carol ended up laughing as well and their lips parted. Feeling giddy with the sudden feeling that rushed through her body, Natasha turned her head enough to rest her forehead against Carol’s shoulder. The blonde curled her strong arms around her waist, pulling their bodies closer, and Natasha felt the woman’s chest vibrate with another quiet laugh.
"It took you long enough to do that," Carol whispered.
Natasha felt her face heating up. "Why was I the one that needed to make a move, huh?"
"Because I didn't want to be punched in the face, that's why," the superhero replied.
Natasha sighed then and closed her eyes for a moment, trying to figure out everything that had happened, but her mind was immediately filled with doubts and fears. She couldn’t help but mumble: "What are we doing?"
Carol delicately nudged Natasha away so she could look at her face. It was either her bright eyes or the happy smile she was holding, but, whatever it was, Natasha felt some of her worries washing away. "Well, we were making dinner, remember? And I don't know about you, but I'm starving."
"You're right," Natasha replied with a smile of her own. "Let's go back."
They walked back to the kitchen silently. They weren't holding hands and they didn’t kiss again, however, Natasha felt like something major had changed between them. It didn't make her uncomfortable, not even when she noticed Carol stealing glances at her while they walked. It made her grin, though, and she tried to distract herself by picking up the knife on the counter again.
"No, no, no," Carol stopped her quickly, taking the knife from her hand and nudging her to the side. "You need to take care of that finger of yours. I can handle it."
Natasha arched one eyebrow at her and placed both hands on her waist. "Not to be a jerk, but I don't think you can."
Carol laughed loudly this time. "I can!" She insisted, nodding. "Just give me the instructions and I will make it work."
"Please, don't destroy our kitchen," Natasha pleaded as she took a step back. To be fair, she was sure they would end up eating instant noodles because Carol wouldn’t be able to make anything, but she thought it would at least be fun to watch.
So, getting ready for the show, Natasha placed both hands on the counter behind her and pushed herself up, sitting in the same place Carol was before. For the next hour or so, she explained step-by-step the recipe to the blonde all while trying to make sure the entire compound wouldn’t be blown away.
"Taste it," Carol asked, coming closer to her with a spoon in her hand, putting the other hand beneath to make sure it wouldn’t fall on the floor.
Natasha let the woman put the spoon inside her mouth and felt a blush rising from her neck when Carol placed a hand against her tight, watching her expectantly for the verdict. "This is not bad," the redhead declared after a few seconds. "But it needs more parsley," she added.
"On it!" Carol exclaimed, already meaning to turn around to chop more of the parsley that was left, but Natasha quickly stopped her by wrapping her legs around the woman’s hips. Carol froze for a second, wide eyes and open mouth. "Oh."
Natasha only smiled when she put her hand on the back of Carol's neck to lean her in for their second kiss. It lasted longer than the first one, enough so that Carol found a place standing between Natasha’s leg to stay while both of her hands rest on the woman’s thighs, at the same time her lips seemed to tingle in excitement. Natasha kept her hand on Carol’s neck and her other arm thrown over her shoulder lazily, but her ankles crossed behind the blonde and her heart was beating way faster than it should be.
Now, Natasha wasn’t the romantic type. She didn’t believe in the type of love that could move mountains and oceans. Neither did she believe in kisses that made someone see stars behind her eyes. She did, however, felt her entire body buzz with something while her lips danced with Carol’s, the shiver that ran down her spine when their tongues met and the warmth getting lower into her body as Carol’s hands started moving forward.
It made Natasha think why on Earth it took so long for that to happen. She couldn’t remember why she had tried to keep her distance from Carol, why she was scared to feel anything when she saw the woman laughing across the chessboard, why she was trying to run away. It was hard to remember any of that when, at that moment, all she wanted was to get closer. Closer and closer and closer.
The tip of Carol’s hands had just touched the inside of her thigh when Steve’s deep voice was heard all across the compound and the two of them jumped apart so fast that it was like they burned each other. Natasha jumped from the counter while rubbing at her lips with the back of her hand, even if Carol wasn’t wearing any lipstick for it to be smeared all over her face. She didn’t allow the blonde to say anything, though, because she turned around and left the kitchen so fast that she nearly bumped into Bruce on her way out.
[...]
It was a bad idea.
Terrible.
She made a list, which sounded a bit idiotic of her, but it helped her to think more clearly.
Well, it became quite clear that it was a terrible idea.
For one, Carol traveled a lot. Which, okay, fair, it was a stupid reason because all of them traveled a lot, to be fair, but they traveled on Earth. Carol took her spaceship - or whatever she wanted to call it - and she flew across the galaxy jumping from one planet to another. She had been doing that for decades. She was barely on Earth at all, which made her constant presence at the compound the last months ever weirder, but that part didn’t make it to the final list.
Carol was also old. Well, that wasn’t the problem per se because Carol didn’t look a day older than thirty, and that was the thing. Carol wasn’t a normal human, not anymore. She didn’t age like everyone else. It would come a time when Carol would still be young and energetic while all of them - except for Thor - would be all wrinkled and grumpy.
And, fine, those were the only things Natasha could think to put on the cons list, but they were big deals. Huge, she reasoned with herself. Which meant that she ignored Carol for the next two days like she had an alien plague or something. She moved out of the way, she avoided being in the same room as her, she stayed more time inside her room and she didn’t wander into the training room because she knew that’s where Carol spent most of her days. Instead, Natasha locked herself inside the computers room with Tony and tried to think about anything else.
It, of course, didn’t explain why, on the third day, she found herself walking angrily toward an oblivious Carol standing across the yard while putting a few things inside her ship.
“What are you doing?!” Natasha exclaimed, still several feet away, which made the other woman jump a bit in surprise.
“Uh-” Carol looked around in confusion as she watched the shorter woman striking at her like a very, very, very, angry train. “Putting clean socks inside the-”
“Why?” Natasha interrupted her as she finally stopped in front of the woman.
Carol glanced at her, then back to the socks she had in her hands, before setting on Natasha again. “Because all the other ones are dirty?”
Natasha huffed. “So, you’re leaving?”
“Well, I suppose,” the blonde answered hesitantly.
“That’s great,” the Russian sarcastically scoffed. “That’s exactly what I was avoiding before.”
“What?”
“This!” She motioned with her hands at Carol. “All of this!”
Carol looked down at herself in such an innocent way that Natasha felt her heart pang inside her chest. When she looked up again, Carol had a frown and clear confusion written all over her face. “I’m sorry, Nat. I don’t understand.”
“You’re leaving.” Natasha very suddenly lost all fight inside herself. Her shoulders dropped, as did her voice, and she looked up at Carol so lost that the blonde took a step toward her. “You’re leaving,” she repeated in a whisper.
“I thought that’s what you wanted,” Carol confessed equally quietly.
“Why would I want that?”
“Because you have been avoiding me for days now.” The superhero raised one eyebrow in questioning. “I thought you wanted me to be gone.”
Natasha sighed heavily and raised her hands to grab a handful of Carol’s suit. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to push the woman away or pull her close, and, in the end, she did both. “I don’t want that.”
“What do you want, then?” She didn’t get a reply. All the redhead did was shake her head and look down, which made Carol take a deep breath before gently placing her fingers under Natasha’s chin to make her look back up. “Nat…”
“I can’t ask you to stay,” the woman admitted with sorrow clear in her voice. It made Carol’s heart break into small little pieces. “I can’t ask that from you. It would be selfish of me, because you love the space. You’re the Space Cadet.” She said the last line with a small smile.
“I can’t ask you to go with me,” Carol replied. “Your family is here.”
“But do you?” Natasha looked up with her eyes shining with what appeared to be tears she refused to drop. “Do you want to ask me to go with you?”
Carol nodded without having to think about it first. “I wouldn’t want anything else,” she declared. “I stayed here because I didn’t want to stay away from you.”
“Why?”
This time, Carol smiled. “Is it too hard for you to believe I just wanted to?”
Natasha sighed and shook her head in exasperation. “Yes because the most exciting things around the last months were you keeping me from bleeding around.”
“You are very frail, you know?” The blonde whispered after a pause and her hand raised to rub at the scar left on Natasha’s shoulder. “You’re powerful and dangerous, but you’re also human. I’m afraid something will happen to you and that I won’t be able to do a single thing about that.”
Maybe that’s what was on Carol’s list, Natasha thought to herself. It made her think if Carol even thought this through before deciding she wanted to spend more time with Natasha because that lead both of them with a lot to lose and not much to be done about it.
“In our world,” Natasha started after she looked too long into Carol’s eyes, “where anything can happen at any time, I think we should all live our lives to the best of it.” She paused to let her words sink in, but also because she was repeating those words inside her head over and over again. “I won’t ask you to stay,” she repeated.
“That’s okay,” Carol replied quietly. “You don’t have to. I’m offering to.”
“And, just so you know, I’m not usually that clumsy.”
Carol chuckled now, curling her arms around Natasha’s waist without a care as to who might see them. “That's a relief to hear, actually. If we’re making confessions, you should know I snore.”
Natasha’s laugh filled the space around them and Carol was sure she made the right decision.
