Why aspirants prefer SBI over other bank exams?

Bank jobs are the most preferred jobs by the aspirants looking for public sector jobs. There are number of banking exams such as IBPS, SBI, RBI, etc. Out of these SBI is the most soughed bank therefore the moment notification for SBI is published everyone gets excited to grab it.

Duties of SBI Clerk Junior Associate

A.           As a Customer Support and Sales

Dealing with customers and solving their queries and guiding them right.

Manage the counters for withdrawals and deposits where adequate knowledge of cheques, demand drafts, challans and vouchers is required.

Responsibility of verifying and signing financial documents, clearing cheques, issuing drafts and countersigning various documents.  

To do back office work such as data entry, balance tallying, maintaining

Assisting in the marketing of financial products of bank like loans, schemes, deposits, funds, etc.

To make customer calls to sell bank services, advisory services and cross- selling products and it may require outdoor travelling also.

B.           Duties as Junior Associate

He or she has to assist in the basic functions of providing loans and other financial operations to the small scale enterprises like fruit and vegetable vendors, artisans and self employed people.

To assist farmers and small scale borrowers by giving them periodic updates on their related topic.

Thorough checking of the applicants who have submitted their documents for financial needs. It is a very responsible function as it involves the scrutiny of the credentials of the person seeking financial help from the bank if anything goes off beat then his or her pocket will be pinched for the loss.

To verify the loans taken by the customers by checking the routine of the repayment by them. Before submitting such reports to the manager of the Branch he or she has to verify the details carefully.

To encourage farmers and small borrowers to open saving account and invest in their bank in other schemes.

To collect information regarding relevant factors such as land holdings, infrastructure, crops and other credit facilities for small borrowers and farmers.

To liaison with Land record and registration offices and other government agencies or departments related to banks.
