Hey everyone, I need help making a decision.

My Monster Hunter AU is set in a Korea-inspired background(namely suburban Korea, which is where I live). It's technically not Korea, especially since the characters are all European/American/Just Not Korean™️(except maybe TinaKitten, but idk if she'll appear), but it follows Korean societal structures and systems. So, basically what the British and Americans do when writing modern AUs, but with Korea.

So:

(No multicultural monsters, bc I don't think I could confidently portray other cultures' monsters. At least with my own culture, I don't have to worry about accidentally disrespecting anyone's heritage.)

P. S. If anyone's wondering, my Monster Hunter AU is Bedrock Bros-centric/SBI-centric, and I'm VERY seriously considering making it an interactive story, effectively turning it into my second most large-scale fanfiction project yet.

honestly frothing at the mouth for the moment scp The Blade gets his act together and starts treating The Blood God like an actual person and not just a super evil side to repress. Like, The Blood God has proper motivations and philosophies and is just begging The Blade to consider proper team work but noooo. He gets fully walled off and shoved into the sea of voices, constantly pushed away to the point where he can only surface when his vessel is in danger. Of course he’d be constantly trying to buck The Blade’s control, he’s never allowed to just exist! They never talk to each other!

Unfortunately the prerequisite for The Blade to stop suppressing The Blood God and finally actually allow proper communication is a high enough friendship stat with Tubbo (who actually runs the Hivemind pretty well once a few things are sorted out), and if any of you have even glanced at Fault y’all know how well THAT is going…

Funny you say that bc yoink the identity is also a dark sbi au!! Kinda. Its actually just more of a horror au if anything (but also yeah a couple of the aus there have got dark elements i cant remember which tho my memory of them only activates when i focus on one)

anyhow that wip is about a shapeshifter au in which wilbur and Phil are supposed to have their weekly dinner night together, but then Wil gets a call with Phil panicking and screaming on the other end, telling him to rush over to his apartment. Wilbur goes over thinking something horrible happened, but when he gets there Phil has no idea what Wil is talking about with the phone call and he seems entirely fine.

They kinda go on with their dinner night but Phil keeps really odd, not quite getting details in the conversation right, seeming lost in his own house, ect. Wilbur ends up hearing a weird noise and sneaks off to investigate to find actual Phil locked in a closet.

To where he then realizes he was not talking with the real Phil and something is seriously fucked up here. They both sneak around the apartment trying to avoid the not Phil thing, who realizes actual Phil got out and starts to try to lure them out by mimicking their voices (it keeps calling for Phil in wilburs voice, “Phil? Phil, whered you go?” And then it switches to Phils voice screaming for help, which makes Wilbur just keep looking at real Phil desperately trying to reassure himself the noise isnt real)

They end up escaping the apartment and calling Techno, their mutual buddy, for help, but then the shapeshifter starts following them outside and they’re running across the empty streets in the middle of the night to try and lose it. Techno eventually finds them and nearly runs them over, and then proceeds to try purposely running the shapeshifter over upon seeing it come around the corner, looking like Phil but with everything about him seeming just Wrong. (Eyes glinting too hard, his walk stumbling too much, the voice from his mouth still being Wilburs-) so sbi is in the car now. Techno hits the thing with his car. They check to see if they killed it, and they watch as the shapeshifter tries to then turn into a kid, but still clinging onto Phils features, so then it just looks like a kid version of Phil (tommy!! Yays)

Its then crying about getting hit with a car and mimicking all their voices interchangeably to ask for help, and Techno is about to get back in the car to run it over a second time!! Only for Phil to stop him bc he wants to know what the heck the shapeshifter is even trying to do. Here is where i lose the plot a bit but i think from there on it would be cool for the three of them to argue amongst themselves over if they should be pitying a monster thing, not noticing Tommy getting closer until he’s right next to them and he’s taken Technos form and voice to try and join their conversation. This somehow results in them realizing he’s really not that harmful. Family dynamics

The thing is “Tommy” is meant to be a very naive type of shapeshifter who doesnt really have a grasp on humans, and he took Phils place first bc he heard about the dinner and he wanted to meet Wil. And then he sees Techno and how Phil and Wilbur talk with him and thats why he turns into a Techno. He also turns young when hes hurt bc he recognizes that humans treat their young gently. Its a neat concept! Alas its also a wip. I have no idea where the family dynamics will form but by god theyre gonna be somewhere

Need my Cryptid SBI AU to Humanize Techno. Not just because he’s a human, but to force him into remembering that. They’ve been watching him since he was little, they know all about how much he’s dehumanized.

They make sure that Techno is humanized in every way. Verbally, and physically. They don’t hurt him, that’s not what they want. They just make sure it’s know that at the end of the day.

He is still human.

He is a human in the eyes of the Siren. He is a precious child in the gaze of the immortal Angel of Death. He is a wonderful squishy Playmate to the mooshroom blond child. (Or raccoon lmao.) He is not a weapon, or the Blade, or a monster to them.

He is a human, he is their precious soft human who is so scared and yet so resilient. He is the human who has been through hell, and is so uncomfortable and scared when he’s treated with kindness and compassion because he is scared of being used.

The Cryptids don’t like how the monsters have been treating their Human. They aren’t Humans, that would imply they had feelings and cared about others.

It’s a shame the Cryptids didn’t know how humanity worked.

multichapter fics

this is about a stuffed bird, hermitcraft, T (warning: a bordeline M), 78k. in which an apocalypse happens that turns much of humanity into horrible monsters, mumbo gets a distressing call from grian and decides to travel across the country to meet him. still my most popular hermitcraft fic and my second-most popular fic overall. heavy on body horror, themes of what makes someone a person, and also evil x is here. i still love the mumbo voice in this, and it even has a complete podfic by quackingfish if you prefer audiobooks.

the continued adventures of the boatem road trip, hermitcraft, T, 28k. a series of events that take place as boatem is trapped in the void together for three months after big moon. originally written as a series of vaguely-connected oneshots on tumblr, gathered here into one place. the ending is a little abrupt, but if you're looking for something with the highest concentration of some of my favorite jokes i've made sitting right next to some good old cosmic horror, this is the fic for you.

the last days of the free angel of carrows, hermitcraft, T, 79k. the angel joe hills and the zombie cleo, owners of the atsign agency, investigate a strange mystery brought to them by pearl, and must save their city as they go. a noir-inspired urban fantasy i originally wrote for a big bang, and still my longest fic! it's got some of my favorite worldbuilding i've done, a great joe-and-cleo plot, a pearl i'm still obsessed with, and so much angel symbolism. if you like aus or urban fantasies, this is the one of my fics you should read.

solving counting sheep, evo, T, 78k. blade-three, living weapon of the watchers, is stolen by martyn after martyn finds its command words and taken home to jimmy to try to rehabilitate. what neither the property police or three itself know is that three is the ultimate fate of grian, their friend who they presumed dead. a fic that is very VERY much about identity and learning who you are, and also plays into many of my favorite living weapon and watcher!grian tropes--as well as subverts them in some heavy ways. probably one of the most personal fics i've ever written, as well. my understanding is that both people who like watcher!grian and people who hate it like this fic, which i take as praise.

the carriers, life series, M, 40k. PET mail (the group made up of Pearl, Etho, and Tango) are mail carriers after the zombie apocalypse, as well as asymptomatic carriers of the zombie virus. when cleo, a person from pearl's past, asks them to bring her a package, they go on a journey that barrels through all three of their pasts. this one is rated M for two specific reasons (both violence) but if you're chill with violence this one turned out pretty well! it is a very me take on a zombie apocalypse, what with the fact that the remnants of heavy industry are almost as much of a threat as the zombies, and a fic that leans pretty heavily on the double life soulmate pairs.

san luis, dream smp, T, 23k, perpetually unfinished. after the other three members of sbi die, philza tries to put back together the pieces. it would be easier if he wasn't hearing their ghosts. this is a fic i'm unfortunately unlikely to finish because it just makes me too sad to write after irl events, but it has some of my best handling of grief, and i know it brings some people comfort. if you don't mind me at my most unrelentingly sad, or are looking for that, i might still recommend it.

in deference to saint george, original superhero work, T, 42k. superhero superball, aka jack harlan, starts dating a customer he meets at the coffee shop he works at, while at the same time dealing with the attacks of the villain dragon and natural disasters. a hero/villain fic with a very ME kind of ending, i am still SUPER PROUD of this. i think the worldbuilding and characters work and it's my proof to myself i can write ow! also, if you've always wanted to read a superhero au from me, good news: this may not be an au, but it's very much exactly that.

long oneshots

consequentialism, hermitcraft, M, 5k. as the members of boatem start falling in the boatem hole, their own dead bodies start showing up. peak "WOULD THAT BE FUCKED UP OR WHAT" horror from me, and also the first hermitcraft fic i ever wrote! if you like my horror writing and aren't too squeamish, good news: this exists.

to convey a certain brilliance, hermitcraft, T, 21k. joe hills and zombiecleo slowly, and through many death loops, drag their way out of their collapsed base to try to survive after a lunar apocalypse. this is the second hermitcraft fic i ever wrote and i wrote it before we knew how moon's big would end, inspired by super hostile; people still tell me it has some of their favorite joe characterization.

cura te ipsum, hermitcraft, T, 15k. tango, in a world where the hermatrix is canon, wakes up on-board the hermethius after dying to the moon and has to try to figure out how to cope. still one of my favorite oneshots i've written, full-stop, and the culmination of all my big moon emotions. it can be considered fully canon-compliant, and it's mostly about all the big emotions something like big moon would cause.

jevin's egg disaster, hermitcraft, G, 7k. the eggs from the season nine egg hunt turn into real children. chaos ensues. this is technically sorted into chapters, and written as a series of very short ficlets on tumblr originally. it doesn't really "conclude" as a result. however this is me on pure crackfic and contains my favorite joke i've ever made (it's in chapter 7 if you're wondering) so PLEASE read it if all the rest of my 'everyone talks about their big feelings' is causing you to need a laugh because it WILL make you laugh.

attempt thirty-three, hermitcraft, T, 14k. joe hills experiences the thirty-third loop of the time loop he's been stuck in, trying to save the world from the rift. a fic exploring the idea of "what happens in that middle part of the time loop when you've been there a while, but don't have things solved yet?" if you like joe hills and you also like hurt/comfort, this is very much a fic with both of those things, and some of my best with both of those things.

a thing that is thicker than starlight, hermitcraft, T, 13k. after reuniting on an adventure through space, long-lost siblings cleo and gem return home and try to figure out where they're supposed to fit into each other's lives. written for recursive exchange and based on "out to the galaxy steady she goes" by thedepressedcanary, although this fic stands on its own. it's a vaguely treasure planet-like au, but it's also MOSTLY about the trauma your parents leave you and the feeling of knowing you're supposed to care about someone (but don't know how to yet). this is my sibling feelings fic, read it for sibling feelings.

the inner mechanism of a black box, dream smp, T, 14k. techno is trapped, isolated, in a horrible version of the prison with only his voices for company. still my most popular fic, and also the fic of mine that is most describable as 'whump'. i still really love the techno writing in this one; it may be the first complete thing i posted to the account but it's still good. written before we knew anything about the prison, and so the situation is entirely speculative; also written before 'techno in prison' really became a genre. you can tell both of these things, for both good and ill.

revenant, dream smp, M, 11k. jack manifold descends back into hell in order to drag tommy back up and out with him. written in a fugue state during the like, three days tommy was still dead. jack manifold is way cooler than he deserves in this fic (he is also EXACTLY as cool as he deserves). to be honest i don't remember why i rated this one M, but not stuffed bird? if you can read stuffed bird you can almost certainly read this. has some of my cooler weird formatting decisions in it and a WAY COOLER VERSION OF HELL THAN THE DSMP GAVE US I'LL STAND BY THAT.

bad beat, dream smp, T, 10k. techno goes to play a high-stakes game of poker against quackity, hoping to win insurance for his friends' lives. do you like card games? i like card games. most of this fic is a thriller in which they are playing poker. both people who like and dislike poker like this fic, though, because the thriller elements still work. also, my one take on casino quackity, so if you like quackity, give it a shot.

a kind of playing heartstrings, empires smp, G, 6k. jimmy invites scott to a cod empire gathering. an older fic of mine that's a cute take on empires flower husbands with a LOT of music culture worldbuilding for the codlands! this is just a fic that makes me feel cozy and happy. it is uncomplicated fluff.

survivorship bias, empires smp, G, 9k. an amnesiac jimmy is fished out of the water and into a surviving village that exists a few decades after the rapture, but still a great deal of time before empires season two will happen. a combination of worldbuilding of that transition period and emotions about jimmy, who doesn't remember why he's sad but certainly feels it. i enjoyed meshing different empires cultures together for this a lot!

the perils of updating your vault hunters server before even the public release (seriously who qa checks this), vault hunters smp, G, 9k. in which a bug on the vault hunters server turns all of iskall's friends into cute small children and he has to get them out of a vault again. this one is just an excuse for me to write endless Cute Baby Shenanigans, and if Cute Baby Shenanigans sound like they're your kind of thing, give it a read!

it's a long way down if you want to get up again, yugioh dm, T, 12k. mokuba tries to puzzle out why his brother is acting so strangely; as it turns out, this is because kaiba has recently time traveled. a fic shoving DSoD kaiba into the earliest parts of yugioh. he is very bad as a time traveler, and he's not necessarily making things better, but they aren't necessarily worse. also, a fic with a lot of my feelings about mokuba and seto's relationship, as well as their relationship with gozaburo. the kaibas will always make me feel things.

on burdens, yugioh dm, T, 11k. kaiba realizes that jounouchi is both more complicated than he gave him credit for and probably being abused, which changes his perspective on him. violetshipping, but mostly pre-violetshipping. another fic where i write people playing a card game! it is also as much about kaiba having the world's worst emotional intelligence as it is about kaiba and jounouchi both having shitty dads.

selected short oneshots

a question for the dead, life series, G, 1.2k. a script-format fic interviewing the dead players of last life. one of my favorite experiments with formatting of all time, line after line of character study with no wasted words. read it.

different sort of soulmates, life series, G, 926. an aromantic mumbo jumbo hears about double life after the fact, and talks through with grian his fears that he wouldn't have been capable of having a soulmate. cute grumbo friendship and also some feelings about feeling disconnected from the people around you. a personal favorite ficlet of mine.

the long odds, life series, G, 1.8k. martyn is invited to the table with the other writers to play a game. a very meta fic in which martyn plays blackjack with watchers and listeners. this fic is like 80% metafiction and allegory by weight, and i like it very much.

a murder, life series, G, 483. before limited life, jimmy and joel realize it's coming via a flock of birds on empires. a fic both with jimmy and joel's unique friendship and a meta twist on the whole canary thing.

task: answer the following question: do you believe in curses?, life series, G, 1.2k. the surviving members of secret life explain their thoughts on curses. a spiritual successor to 'a question for the dead' and another one of my absolute favorite experiments with formatting. another one with no wasted words that hinges on the character voice of it all.

home, life series, G, 887. cleo and etho have a conversation about their new relationship after secret life, given that cleo's aromantic. man, i love cletho so much, and i also really like the idea of aromantic cleo, so this is my ficlet with both of those things.

do you even lift, bro?, hermitcraft, G, 2.4k. boatem fluff about who can bench press the most members of boatem. this fic is still really cute tbh, not much else to say.

like father, hermitcraft, T, 2k. grumbot prime decides he has to protect grian the same way grian protected grumbot in another world. the horror of being trapped by something you can't escape in a box designed to stop you from hurting yourself; also, the horror of your mistakes coming to haunt you.

forgetful, hermitcraft, T, 977. an interaction between evil x and xisuma near the end of season eight. a ficlet exploring some of my feelings about how season eight evil x can very easily be read as abusive and not even xisuma ever seems to acknowledge that. also, the horror of admin powers in minecraft.

to spite your face, hermitcraft, T, 980. a ficlet where joe gets to be mad about how he was treated by hermitopia during the crossover. i just think i still have so many crossover feelings about joe hills on empires, that's all.

as what you make becomes you, hermitcraft, T, 3.2k. decked out consumes tango, as seen from three perspectives. technically three separate oneshots collected into one fic as one story, the idea of decked out 2 'eating' tango is one of my favorite horror concepts from season 9. this is my execution of it.

missed the shovel talk so this is the next best thing, hermitcraft, T, 941. the rest of the NHO throws a party for doc and then interrogates him about when he even got married to ren in the first place. a goofy, funny fic about the hermits hanging out and being friends. this one is mostly jokes, but i think they're very funny jokes.

THE SBI 'PJO' AU I DESERVE

( The base is PJO but I'm still making shi- up, this is Tommy centric btw )

Philza Minecraft as a Chiron like figure to the camp, just taking in the god's stray children, very in character. He's married to Thanatos (whos is actually Kristen in this AU).

Technoblade as an Athena son but cursed by Ares because of his human family cult and disrespect toward the war god. The curse of the voices is hard to control and he's luckily found by Phil after loosing control once.

He's been in the camp since he was 8 and is 19(?) at the time of the story.

Bonus info: The guy has a lot of respect for Demeter since farming is one of his favourite thing to do.

Tommy as a non-claimed kid, found by Tubbo (a Satyr) while a monster was attacking his school (because of him). They both run away from it, but Tommy has to kill it when the monster grabs Tubbo (He's his first ever friend, he can't just let him die) and that's how our guy made his way to the camp

Bonus info: Mortals just thought Tommy was crazy and seeing monster everywhere, they also put it on the account of him being autistic (Autistic!cTommy <3)

Tommy is very much against all of the rules and very angry about the fact that his godly parent just chose to ignore him so he tends to cause problem and get into fights a lot in his first days at the camp

+ Tubbo being in a semi coma from being injured is really not helping

So Phil kinda puts Techno on the case because of him being one of the best fighter and Tommy clearly needing an outlet, Phil is also worried about the youngling just turning against the gods and even the camp (Luke style yk) which is enhanced when the Pythia (that is possessing Ranboo here) appears and says a new prophecy in front of the whole camp where Tommy is mentioned to be the cause of the world's end or the hero that will save it.

(It's honestly still a messy idea but y'all get it)

no big thread today, just a few little drabbles :)

Cryptid AU where kid Tommy’s accidentally been adopted by the monsters around (and in) his house. 

Just the idea of having a nightmare, then intentionally unplugging the nightlight & going to the monster under his bed for comfort :)

Going for a nice midnight walk for fresh air & being trailed by the things that live in the woods. Shutting the curtains so the monster in his basement can help with chores.

Bonus if it’s a foster AU, but Tommy’s happy because he has a family everywhere he goes!

Vague idea of a Bodyguard/Shifter AU with toddler/kitten Tommy and his absolutely terrifying team of bodyguards.

Just a fully armored group of trained professionals, one with a cross-chested baby carrier that doubles as a bullet-proof box (with a tiny kitten inside!).

Bonus points if Tommy knows *exactly* how scary & competent his guards are.

Doesn’t ask, “Can I swim?” — just throws himself into the nearest body of water and giggles when three uniformed & armored bodyguards dive in to rescue him.

Little Bounty Hunting/Royalty AU where rebel!SBI spend hours dismantling the king’s castle.

And another few hours trying to *find* the king.

But the kid — barely five years old, wriggling in Techno’s tight hold — just pouts that they’re ‘done with the hiding game.’

“We’re here to kill you.”

Tommy doesn’t even blink, trying to pull himself free with tiny, chubby fingers, whining, “You can kill me next time you find me.”

“That’s— that’s called hide-and-seek.”

“Well, I can’t hide if you kill me *now.*”

Okay enough it's enough, now you need to tell me more about the vampire au that you are creating.

Alrighty!

I guess I can share some stuff bout this crazy AU.

• Dream’s a Hunter (for anything and everything).

• SBI are a coven, Mumza’s the matriarch, Phil her right hand and Wil, Tommy and Techno are her ‘children’.

• Neapolitan trio are not blood related, they’re ‘blood brothers’ though (Mumza gave her blood to the three of them for their transformation).

• Scarification for SBI’s coven mark, oh yeah.

• Dream got a job from the town’s mayor to kill a monster that had been terrorizing the town, which the citizens started to call “Blood God”.

• Said “Blood God” turns out to be a vampire (we know it’s Techno, it’s obvious for us), and so when Dream encounters him, it stops being a hunt and starts a battle for their life’s.

• It ends as a tie, but the contract is still up and Dream searches for Techno again. This becomes a usual for both.

• It’s just by mere coincidence that they start to talk while they fight, starting with sarcastic comments, then the closest thing they can give as a “compliment” to each other’s skills, and ending up talking about anything in their mind during, and after their fights.

• Their fights turn from the purpose of killing to simple spars. They get to know more about the other.

• Dream decides it’s useless to pretend anymore and gets Techno to agree to leave the townsfolk alone. To prove the mayor the monster was gone, he brought a piece of clothing and some jewels from the vampire, covered in blood. The mayor accepted this as enough proof and gave the reward, dismissing him soon after.

• Dream got to meet the Mors Corvi (SBI’s coven’s name), Techno introduced him and prevented any kind of misunderstanding his family could have.

• They know Dream tried to kill Techno, and how it suddenly turned into friendly spars, they don’t know all the details, but they’re happy for Techno.

• Mumza offers a place for both of them to stay, remaining inside of her territory but just far enough to get privacy from the townsfolk.

• “Omg they were roommates.”

• Techno likes to get what he wants whenever he wants, so when that stops happening, he gets pissed and if it’s bad enough, he’ll go on a hunger strike.

• This only makes things annoying for Dream, who has to work with a stubborn vampire and the hunting instincts that go haywire for the lack of food.

• If a vampire goes long without food, they can get aggressive, but they’re mostly conscious of what’s happening and what are they doing. If it goes longer than a couple of days, the vampire will turn feral, nothing gets through them as the need to satisfy their hunger is the only thing that occupies their mind. If it goes longer than this, the vampire turns docile, no strength in their system as it tries to keep as much energy as possible, they’re very docile in these conditions and it’s hard for them to understand things that happen around them.

• Most of the times, Dream gets Techno to drop his tantrums and come back to his senses in the first stage, some other times Techno goes feral and Dream has to tie him up, it can be fun for him to do that (more if the vampire got pissy because he’d been wrong (Techno’s a brat, I don’t care bout ooc, this is such a crack AU JAJDJS)).

• There’s been a couple of times Techno has gone too long without food, some were because he didn’t want to eat and one time he couldn’t eat. All of those times, Dream had been able to help him go back to normal.

For the moment that’s what I’ve got planned, not really thinking of making this one an Ao3 work (already got too many), so it’ll stay as these notes with story and drawings.

Hazbin Hotel Ranchers AU: Tango and Jimmy both die in a car accident, Tango wakes up in hell during the angel extermination without Jimmy. While searching for his husband he makes friends, allies, enemies, and even encounters some people from his past he never thought he'd see again.

I have the second chapter started, and a chapter far down the line written, so 1.5 chapters total written.

He’s utterly alone, and he has no idea where he is. Not a single person occupies the street with him, and the location is completely and wholly unfamiliar to him. And everything is bathed in the bright red light.  Looking up, he sees black clouds dotting the sky, and tiny figures flying around them. More of them emerge from a bright yellow circle in the sky. The sun?  “Hello?” he calls out, because what else is he going to do? He just died, and woke up on the sidewalk of a burning street, with a bright red sky above him- Oh. Oh fuck. He just died. He stumbles, because he doubts heaven has red skies. He’s in hell.

Mad Max desert duo AU: Grian has been surviving, alone in the wastelands nearly his entire life. Scar is determined to be friends. Buckle up everyone, this one's a tragedy.

The first chapter for this one is started

This close, he can see the definition in the man’s muscles, the bulk to his body, the scars running along his arm and face. Some small, some looking big enough to kill. This isn’t a man who goes hungry, this isn’t a man unused to a fight. This is a man who isn’t just surviving the wasteland, but thriving in it.  Grian gives a thunderous cry, pouring all his fury into it, in the desperate hope to scare the man away. To tell him I will not go down without a fight. I will not go quietly. I will not be an easy kill.  Still the man pulls him ever closer. This near, he can see the easy smile adorning his face.

From inspired horror AU feat just about everyone: Don't know what From is? don't worry about it, I'm taking loose inspiration. Our cast of characters are trapped in a town they can't leave, where human looking supernatural monsters come out at night to torture and kill anyone they catch out after dark. Follows a lot of different characters across life series, hermitcraft, and empires. Will feature lots of character death

“SHUBBLE!” he despairs, his voice cracking at the rough usage.  It’s only because he’s scanning the tree line so intently that he spots it so immediately. One lone girl, walking calmly towards him, a wide smile on her face.  Had it been darker, or if Oli were a fool, he might have fallen for it. Instead, he takes two quick steps backwards into the house, and slums the back door shut. Locks it firmly. Runs to the front door.  Nobody stands in his way this time, hugging the walls, tears in their eyes. Katherine’s loud sobs fill the silence. Oli tramples through.  “Pearl!” he shouts, right as she slams the front door shut.  “I saw,” she says, throwing the lock shut. She hangs her head, facing the door rather than the crowds behind her. 

Westworld flower husbands AU: this says flower husbands but really it follows a lot of characters. A western-themed park populated by human looking androids for guests to come in and do as they please. Often horrible things. Some of the androids are becoming more aware. Hermitcraft characters as the park operators, empires as the androids, cameos of DSMP characters as the guests. Chapters alternate between the hermitcraft and the empires characters.

He knows who this must be, and he knows why he must be here, still he asks with gritted teeth “who do you think you are, riding in on a dead man’s stolen horse?”  The man beneath the blanket grins, “Why, I imagine I might be the man who killed him!”  And he raises his arms, throwing off his blanket with a flourish, unveiling Joel the bandit leader, murderer of the last sheriff, terror of the hills.  “You-!” he reaches for his holster, only for his heart to sink as he comes up empty handed.  He left it in the office. Joel laughs, a loud ugly thing, “Looks like I’m two for two lads!” he shouts, bringing up his own pistol, and shooting Jimmy square in the chest.

SBI the Host AU: fair warning, this one is Wilbur centric. Started it before he got outed as an abuser, and obviously stopped working on it in the mean time, but I suppose I'd like to gauge interest now that it's been a little while. Alien invasion/invasion of the body snatchers, that creeping sensation where you know something is off but you don't know what.

I have the first chapter for this written, and the second started.

Wilbur opens the front door to his younger brother screaming “I hate you! I hate you! I HATE YOU!”  Wilbur reminds himself that Tommy is thirteen, and thirteen year olds feel things very strongly; especially indignance and injustice. It’s very easy to believe the entire world’s against you when you’re thirteen years old.  “Tommy,” his father’s voice floats down from the living room, exhaustion and anger all in one, “Sometimes your actions have consequences. This is one of those times. If you hadn’t lied to me-”  Tommy gives a veritable scream of fury before stomping footsteps mark his path upstairs, and the slamming of his bedroom door marks his retreat. Tommy had always been a loud boy; a loud baby, a loud toddler, and now a loud teenager entering puberty with all the subtlety of a freight train.

“Yeesh, you guys look rough.” A familiar voice answers, and Jimmy perks up immediately.  “Tango!” he exclaims, nearly vaulting the counter to greet him properly.  Tango has, thankfully, put away his cargo pants in lieu of cargo shorts due to the heat wave, though he had not relinquished the combat boots nor punk vest.  “Why is it hotter inside than out there?” he asks, thumbing the front door. There are visible heat waves coming off the concrete parking lot.  Martyn slams his face into the counter “I don’t know!” He moans. “The A.C. isn’t broken, the thermostat is set to go as cool as it can, and yet!” he waves his arms around him at the sweating customers and dying staff.

Human Compass Pirate Au! (Dark SBI Flavor)

The Ocean is an infinitely vast place, full of magic, monsters, and danger. But, most who sail the seas never witness a wink of it. Following tried and true trade routes, the worst they have to deal with is long boring months at sea, tasteless food, and the ocean's unpredictable weather.

Well, and Pirates.

Those seeking adventure and treasure know that the only way to find the Ocean's magical secrets is to use magic on its own. To find pieces of magic like keys to open up the Sea's secrets. And magic is hard to find. A mermaid's comb. A secret chord. A sigil etched in lime. Such things are necessary, but rare.

Technoblade's father wasn't always a mapmaker.

Before Techno was born, his father was a Naval Officer. Not super well known or accomplished, but he was good at his job. An upright soldier. Honest and brave.

Until an encounter with the dreaded Pirate Captain Philza saw him lose his ship, his men, and his leg all in one day.

He was discharged, unable to uphold his duty. He was given a sum for his trouble, but not nearly enough to live on for the rest of his life. He didn't have a trade before he became a navyman, and even if he did he was down a leg.

But he knew the sea, and began to make maps.

Shitty maps. He was no artist, after all, and was selling them cheap just to get a few coins. He barely scraped by, saving as much of his severence pay as he could. But it was getting hard now that he had a child on the way.

One night, he spoke to some friends and they told him of a way you could earn a boon from the sea. So, he made his way down to the beach with great difficulty, a cruch holding him up as he crossed the sand. He found three sand dollars, a mermaids purse, and an opalescent piece of coral that reminded him of a piece of the moon itself. He tied them in a new wineskin and buried it in a dry tide pool and waited for the tide to rise.

When it did, he saw a woman step from the ocean, beautiful but offputting. She dug into the tidepool, and pulled out the bag and looked up at him. She asked him what he wanted, and he replied that all he wanted was his map business to flourish. She smiled, nodded, and left.

Years went by and though Techno's dad's skill in drawing increased, his maps still sold poorly. And the severance was close to gone. He was stressed.

Barelt more than a toddler, Techno loved to watch his father work, so his Dad had him help draw maps. Maybe Techno could gain some skill, and then when he was older he could surpass his dad.

But, by mistake, one of Techno's childish maps was sold instead of his Dad's map. Techno's dad was worried, because it would be a blow to his business if people thought his maps were bad.

When the customer comes back months later, Techno's dad is already apologizing but the customer just slams down a bag full of gold and demands more maps. Techno's dad was confused, but the customer explained that by following that map, he had found a treasure filled island and was now wealthy far beyond his dreams. He wanted every map the man had.

Techno's dad was smart, and sold the customer all of Techno's maps. Then he turned to his son.

They worked as a team, after that. Techno's dad drawing the maps at Techno's direction. Techno grew and their business grew. And they became more and more wealthy as their business gained renown.

And...Techno's dad changed.

Techno mourned the fact that his dad no longer played with him. Then mourned the fact that he was given less and less time to leave the house. Then he was given less and less free time, all his time devoted to maps. Then, his father decided that Technoblade was skilled enough to draw the maps himself! And then!

Technoblade was very lonely. He used to love mapmaking with his dad. But his dad was now more often out talking to important people, not Technoblade. His dad was rubbing shoulders with old naval buddies who had ignored them during his Dad's discharge. It got worse when his mother died.

When Technoblade tried to reason with his dad, the man brushes him off. Or his dad guilt trips Techno into working harder. Or he yells at Techno, calling him selfish. And Techno just feels very trapped.

Honestly, he very rarely ever sees the sky, trapped in his father's shop. Most barely knew what he looked like, almost never found outside the shop.

But, while magic is rare, some people know how to find it.

He's sixteen when it happens.

Techno is in the back when he hears the front door open with a slam, and rushes to the front as he hears his father shouting.

Techno gets to the front to see Pirate Captain Philza with a pistol to his Dad's head. Techno freezes, looking at the group of pirates that have swarmed inside the shop.

Philza, surprisingly, recognizes Techno's dad. Apparently, Techno's dad had done something that impressed him. Mocks him for a while over the lost leg, but then demands Techno's dad give him whatever magic tool he was using to make the maps. The maps that led to treasure and magic and other impossible things.

Techno's dad denies having anything like that. And Philza frowns, orders some of his men to check the backroom. Techno is pushed aside, and it's only when he stumbles that Philza turns an eye on him. Techno freezes as he is looked over, something calculating in his eye.

Philza's men come back, confirming that there was nothing magical in the shop. Techno is inwardly freaking out because holy crap, the pirates aren't going to find what they want and then they are going to kill them?

But Philza is still staring at Techno, taking in the ink on his fingers and the apron full of tools. And he notes outloud that the first dozen or so maps from the shop were said to look like a child drew them. That they were far from professional quality, but that they were the first ones to take to treasured lands.

Techno and his dad are silent, both not sure what to say.

Philza gives the order for his men to grab Techno. Techno struggles for a moment, but stops when Philza cocks the gun still held to his Dad's head. The men bring Techno close to Philza and Philza stares into Techno's eyes, looking for something.

And he finds it.

He doesn't even look over at Techno's Dad before he asks "How Much?"

Techno's dad emphasizes that he would not give his son away for MONEY. Philza rolls his eyes and tells him that he will either lose his son and not get paid, or he will lose his son and have gold.

Techno's dad is silent a moment, before he names a price. And Techno is floored, absolutely aghast that his father would-

Philza shoots his dad before Techno can even come to terms with what his father said. Philza smiles at Techno, before ordering his men to grab as many of the mapmaking supplies as possible. Techno stands in shock as the pirate ransack his dad's shop, watching his dad's body grow cold.

Philza and his men drag Techno to the harbor, where the Angel sits in port. Techno is almost carried onto the pirate ship. Techno tries to struggle, but he makes no headway.

He's locked in the brig, the ship pulling out to sea, and he may be on a boat but he is DROWNING in confusion.

Captain Philza puts Techno to work, making maps for the pirate crew that would allow them to find the treasure island, but also find impossible ways to circumvent the trade routes. This way they can get ahead of navy ships with ease.

Techno doesn’t really have the ability to refuse, so he complies.

Cue slow burn bonding with pirates, eventually shifting from prisoner to comrade. Growing accustomed to life at sea. But part of him cannot forgive Philza for murdering his dad, even of his dad had tried to sell him at the last moment.

Philza, recognizing this, explains more to Techno

Its revealed that his dad had already planned to sell him anyway. The Navy had offered his father an IMPOSSIBLE amount of money to get Techno. They would wipe out the pirates, once and for all, and would rule the seas. All the treasure would go to the crown. All magic would be made SAFE.

Techno would be trapped forever within some naval base far far from the sea, constantly mapmaking and never experiencing for himself. And that was wrong.

The reason magic would pull you to the sea is because it is returning to where it came from. Magic belongs to the sea, and to the sea it must return. The sea had never meant for Techno to be trapped, when it gave its gift. It was a gift, not a curse. But had Philza not intervened, Techno would be very very trapped.

Techno wouldn't believe Phil, at first, but something would convince him. Idk. This is as far as I thought ahead. I hope you like.

My first thought would go to who else is on the boat. Tommy and Wilbur are obvious choices but a pirate crew is usually a bit bigger than three. So who else do we 'darkify' for this? Tubbo? Ranboo? Niki? Eret? Fundy? Idk, but it's fun to think about.

Also thinking about Techno perhaps discovering more magic in himself as time goes on. Especially if he's connected to the ocean and now finally returned to it (or a lot closer to it than he was in the workshop anyway). Does he unlock any other powers or even physical changes?

As for drama, well, I suspect the Navy isn't too happy to let their promised magic tool go ;)

Butterfly Reign: You know this one, it's the angst full and oddly yellow one. I always end up finding out it updated a day before it released how does that keep happening?. It's a good read, the characters get deeper the more you read it, and yet even with all their hidden lore and ok ish intentions I still want them to suffer because I'm a spiteful bitch. Unreliable narrator to you I believe him.

In the name of the fucking moon: Its a magical girls AU with the benchers and the family, more on the old school monster of the week type of magical girls but with continuity. If you imagine the scenes in your head while reading please add an 80's anime filter over it. Fun to read 👍 I got halfway through and I'm waiting for it to finish so I can binge it.

Guided evolution: Only read this if you have a lot of free time or the time management skills of a lawyer because this here is 300.000+ words and incredibly good. Every chapter I do nothing but worry for my spider son. Hasn't he been through enough I ask, while seeing I'm on chapter 52 out of 75. I know the answer, and it only serves to hurt me.

How to be the biggest trainer ever: Crimeboys go in a pokemon adventure. A very friendly fun read, like the pokemon anime but with your favourite white boys having fun 👍the world is set on gen 1 I think, so use that soundtrack

The stars and their children: Ive only read till chapter 5 and that's enough to know its good (also the fact that I follow the author here on tumblr so I get spoiled every once in a while hehe) This one is more sandduo focused and it has cool sci fi monarchy and it's also very near to end?? I didn't know that. Guess I'll get up to date then. Star tommy did nothing wrong I haven't seen him do much of anything but if he does in the other 19 chapters be aware he did nothing wrong

By the morrow: this one is weird and interesting in the most enticing way possible. What the fuck is going on. I must know all the reasons behind what is happening here. It can be quite macabre so be aware. I only found this one because the author posted the updates to tumblr. Oh yeah the synopsis, superhero au where the ctommy is a nobody who dies and fucks around the town in his ghost form but shit hits the fan incredibly quickly.

Who the ever loving fuck made me a prince: Its an Isekai yipee, our main boy (el ctommy) reads a book where a kid prince dies. L. Then he wakes up as that same kid!!! Oh no!!! Good news is he's reincarnated right in baby zone so he has plenty of time and skill to make sure won't die 👍, its fun, if you like isekais and don't mind some anime trope baby ism then you will live another day

Proof that life hates tommyinnit personally: This is a mystery!!! Spooky!! With touches of angst, perhaps more than some touches but hey the thrill!! The search!! I enjoy the use of the "it's not paranoia if they're really put to get you" tag. Its one of those fics that if it ever gets dropped I would go to the authors house to ask how was it supposed to end. I need. To know. Oh yeah summary: el ctommy is homeless and has many friends in a local mall who don't know that. This is only one (1) of his problems as he's recently gained a stalker, and everything points to being someone he knows ?? Question mark?? Fun.

TommyInnit's Declassified Vigilante Survival Guide: Ah a good old vigilante fic, just like mama used to make. it checks all the marks: benchtrio living together, villain sbi, when the family is founded, heroes yet bad?? and introducing a cool new power to the boy, what a joy! It is funny and it is cool

Thunder on my bones: ANOTHER superhero au listen man this one is good trust me. We have superhero boy being sidekick to mean superhero then gets moved to nice family of superheroes and the family is found :)) but also there's villains that want to fuck him up , uh oh! How will they found the family in this conditions! I also really like the design of the tommy superhero outfit, it has a really nice detail that I love imagining in my head ^^
