Women’s History Meme || Kick-ass Women (7/10) ↬ Sayyida al-Hurra (1485 – 1561)
Such a woman as Sayyida al-Hurra, a Moroccan of Andalusian origin, found no better way to ease the humiliation of defeat than to launch into piracy. She displayed such talent at it that she soon became Hakima Tatwan (governor of Tetouan). The Muslim historians treat this second al-Hurra, like the first, with the same disdainful silence: ‘One finds practically no information in the Arab sources about this queen, who exercised power for more than thirty years [916/1510, the date of the accession to power of her husband al-Mandri, to 949/1542, when she was deposed].’ According to Spanish and Portuguese sources, al-Hurra was their partner in the diplomatic game. She played a key role for many years as governor of Tetouan and as the undisputed leader of the pirates in the western Mediterranean. One of her allies was none other than the famous Turkish corsair Barbarossa, who operated out of Algiers. But corsairs were not her only allies. After the death of her husband she married the king of Morocco, Ahmad al-Wattasi, the third king of that dynasty (932/1524 to 966/1549). In order to show him that she had no intention of giving up her political role in the north, she requested that the king leave his capital of Fez and come to Tetouan for the marriage ceremony. This was the only time in the history of Morocco that a king got married away from his capital. Her family, the Banu Rashid, was a family of Andalusian notables, who like many others decided to return to North Africa after the fall of Granada. The life of Sayyida al-Hurra began amid the anxieties of exile and the uncertainties experienced by all the Andalusian refugees who fled the Inquisition. Her family settled in Chaouen, and there she married al-Mandri, who belonged to another great Andalusian family living in the neighbouring town of Tetouan. Many emigre communities let themselves be deluded by the idea of a return to Andalusia. Conducting expeditions against the Spaniards became the obsession of the bravest among them, and piracy was the ideal solution. It allowed the expelled to obtain quick revenues (booty and ransom for captives), and at the same time to continue to fight the Christian enemy. The history of the rebirth of Tetouan is linked to, and reflects that of, the family of al-Mandri, al-Hurra’s husband, who became head of the community of Andalusian exiles. — The Forgotten Queens of Islam by Fatima Mernissi

🍃🌸🍃 Sayyida Zainab (sa): A Timeless Role Model for Humanity
Throughout the months of Muharram and Safar we hear of the trials and tribulations that Sayyida Zainab bint Ali (sa) had to endure after the martyrdoms of her brother, Imam Hussain ibn Ali (sa), her children, family members, and companions. But what practical lessons do we as a community take from her immense contribution to humanity?
How well do we appreciate the monumental impact she made on the establishment of our faith and the implications that may have on our lives today?
After the tragic, barbaric martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as), the survival of the fourth Imam, Imam Zayn al-Abidin (as), was paramount for the continuation of Imamate. It was Sayyida Zainab (sa) who helped protect him while he was ill, and prevented his captors from killing him through her strength, leadership, and support. It was also Sayyida Zainab (sa) who ensured that the message of Imam Hussain (as) did not vanish from the pages of history. It was with the constant remembrance of the tragic events of Karbala, in the forum of majalis (gatherings of sorrow), that the message of Imam Hussain (as) has remained pulsing with life until today.
As a community, we should continue to recognize the immense contributions that women have made throughout Islamic history. By acknowledging this crucial role, more opportunities may arise for women to be active participants, leaders, and contributors within our centers, mosques, workplaces, households, communities, and schools.
🌸 The Strength of Sayyida Zainab (sa)
With the survival of the Imamate at stake, it was crucial to protect Imam Zayn al-Abidin (as). Sayyida Zainab (sa) knew that the responsibility of the care of the orphaned children and widows would fall on her shoulders. The fourth Imam (as) was in no condition, due to his illness, to offer her any physical assistance in standing up against the oppressors. We cannot begin to imagine the strength required of an individual enduring the kind of trauma that the survivors of Ashura witnessed and suffered. There was also the emotional toll of the immense loss of loved ones and the sad reality of the brutality and inhumanity inflicted upon the family of the Prophet of Islam (S).
Women must not underestimate their strength, even during the most difficult times. These are situations when being proactive may be of the utmost importance. Imam Zayn al-Abidin (as) did not request Sayyida Zainab (sa) to step back and do nothing. In fact, he relied on her strength a great deal.
🌸 The Leadership of Sayyida Zainab (sa)
One of the most important qualities of a leader is confidence. Sayyida Zainab (sa), without question, was not lacking in this area. Islam’s foundation is deep-rooted in the contributions and sacrifices of exemplary women. As mentioned in our previous blog, ‘Raising Confident Young Muslim Women’, one can reference Sayyida Fatima (sa), Lady Khadijah (sa), and undoubtedly, Sayyida Zainab (sa), among many others, as examples of strong, intelligent, and independent women.
How was Sayyida Zainab (sa), surrounded by soldiers who had just murdered her family, able to have the confidence needed to lead the remaining women and children and protect the fourth Imam (as)? Part of the answer was that her upbringing raised her with belief and trust in the ultimate salvation and justice of God. She also learned that her humanity is valuable and precious. It was this personal connection and trust in God that freed her from any fear of her oppressors and made her an immeasurable leader. We must all take note of this when raising our children, especially when it comes to raising our daughters.
Now our communities should strive to increase leadership opportunities for women. Our centers, workplaces, and mosques should continue to work hard to follow the way of life Prophet Muhammad (S) established, and to value, educate, and respect women. In some cases, today, unfortunately, women may often not feel comfortable in pursuing leadership positions due to the lack of female representation. A possible solution is to create specific positions allocated solely for women so that there are many opportunities to hear their voices and perspectives.
🌸 Sayyida Zainab (sa) was a visionary
To be a visionary, you should think beyond the here and now and be a forward thinker. The preservation of the Imamate was paramount to the survival of the religion of Islam. Sayyida Zainab (sa) knew that she had to protect her nephew, Imam Zayn al-Abidin (as) and did so as best she could with God’s Divine protection and help. She remained steadfast, protected him physically when necessary, and publicly spoke out when the truth was distorted and covered.
Sayyida Zainab (sa) also knew that to safeguard the future of her grandfather’s religion and its believers people must always remember the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (as), his family, and companions. Women became the flagbearers of the message of Imam Hussain (as). From one majlis (gathering of sorrow) to the next, they have passed the baton of guidance that contained the true message of Islam up until this day.
🌸 Women’s Role in Society
Sayyida Zainab’s (sa) strength, leadership, and vision are a lesson for men and women alike in today’s world. Women have an important role to play in all aspects of life: at home, at work, in the community, at the university, at our centers, and mosques. Taking the lessons we learn throughout the months of Muharram and Safar, we can strive to build a better community of inclusion and appreciation of one another. We can create more opportunities and positions for women to take on leadership roles to help our communities continue to grow.

What is the connection between Fatima Zahra (s.a) and Abalfazl Abbas (a.s)..?
"How much Fatima zahra (sa) Loves Abul Fadhl Abbas (a.s)..?
The name which was chosen by Fatima zahra (sa)before he was born, the day she said "O Aba al Hasan (as) give my salam when this child is born, and give him the name ABBAS...
No wonder Abul Fadhil Abbas (a.s) has such great status in the eyes of Sayyida Fatima Zahra (s.a), on the day of Judgment She will carry the two shoulders of Abbas (a.s) asking justice's ⚖
It has been reported in Najaf so long time ago,one sheikh who always recite a Majalis of Abul Fadhl Abbas (a.s) in Muharram inside the holy shrine of Imam Ali (a.s)one night he had a dream in the dream he saw One Lady in the haraam cries and says O Abul Fadhl what happen after you lost your two shoulder..?
The sheikh ask the Lady "I have just finished to recite the Majalis of Abul Fadhl (as)!!!.
She the lady said; "I alway come when you recite the majalis of Abul Fadhl(as)but you never finish to the end way is that .?
The sheikh said; "Please forgive me but who are you..?
She said "I am Fatima (s.a) the daughter of Rasulullah (saww) and mother of Hassan(as) and Hussein(as) you never recited how my son Abul Fazl Abbas (a.s) fall down from the house when he served his two hands,I want to her in your majalis, The sheikh in the morning went to the shrine to register this dream and said he wants to recite the majalis the same night, and he was allowed to recite, The shrine was packed with people, when they heard about the dream, and others who came thinking that Fatima zahra (sa)will be present so on the Ladies site was packed and he recited the full majalis and from that day, the sheikh was only reciting Abul Fadhl Abbas(as) majlis wherever he was invited,

The demise of the Queen of Paradise, Umm al-Momineen Fatima az-Zahra RadiAllahu Anha
Blessed be that symbol of honor; Pious Batool, our Prophetﷺ’s daughter,
Blessed be the veils of graces; Which from sun and moon hid their faces,
Blessed be our Prophet’s beloved daughter; Pious, pure and women’s leader.
Sayyidah Fatimah az-Zahra Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha was the fourth daughter of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and Sayyidah Khadija Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha. “Zahra” (having gleaming and luminous face), “Batool” (aloof from the worldly pleasures) are “Tahira” (chaste and modest) are among her exalted titles.
Umar bin Khattab (RadiAllahu Anhu) says that he went to the house of Fatimah (RadiAllahu Anha) the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, “Oh Fatimah! I swear by Allah that I have not seen anyone who is dearer to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than you. I swear by Allah that nobody is dearer to me than you after
your father ﷺ.”
(Hakim, al-Mustadrak (3:168#4736), Ahmad bin Hambal, Fadai l-us-sahabah (1:364#532))
On the day of Judgement in the Court of Allah when the whole of humanity will be gathered. The Anbiya, Sahaba, Awliya & All the believers. Amongst them will be the greatest of all men, Women and the most modest of people. The pure Angels & Jinnaat will also be present. And in this situation what will happen when the Queen of Paradise will enter the Court?
The Messenger of Allahﷺ said, “On the Day of Judgment (when creation will be gathered), a Voice will call out, ‘All, lower your gaze, Fatima the daughter of Muhammed (SalamUllah Ala Abiha wa Alaiyha) is passing by.”
(Musnad Imam Ahmed)
Subhan Allah. What greatness. Only Allah and his Rasool ﷺ know the actual modesty & Purity of the Queen of Paradise, that even on the Day of Reckoning in the court of Allah no eye will be allowed to look at the purest of women.
Sayyidi Alahazrat عليه الرحمة says about the elevated status of Sayyida Fatima tuz Zahra RadiAllahuanha;
‘Noor bint e noor zawj e noor umm e noor o noor’ ‘Light is She, the daughter of light, the wife of light, the mother of light and light’
She herself is Noor, her blessed father the Noble Messenger of Allah ﷺ is Noor, her husband Sayyiduna Ali Radi Allahuan is Noor, and her two sons Sayyiduna Imam Hasan and Sayyiduna Imam Hussain RadiAllahuanhuma are both Noor!
Subhan Allah!!!
FROM A HADITH:
Sayyiduna Miswar bin Makhramah Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha reported that the Holy Prophet ﷺ said:
فاطمةبضعةمنى،فمنأغضبهاأغضبنى
“My daughter is part of me. He who disturbs her in fact disturbs me and he who offends her offends me.” [Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 3767]
The Holy Prophet ﷺ also said:
حسبكمننساءالعالمينأربعمريمبنتعمرانوآسيةامرأةفرعونوخديجةبنتخويلدوفاطمةبنتمحمد
“The best women in the entire world are four: The Virgin Mariyam Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha daughter of Imran and Aasiya Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha the wife of Pharaoh and Khadija Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha Mother of the Believers and Fatimah Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha, daughter of Muhammad SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam.” [Mustadrak al-Hakim, Vol. 4, Page 262, Hadith 4745, Musnad of Imaam Ahmad 2663]
Sayyidah Fatimah Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha thus acquired a place of love and esteem in the Beloved Nabi’s ﷺ heart that was only occupied by his wife Sayyidah Khadija Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha. She was given the title of “Zahra” which means “The Resplendent One”. That was because of her beaming face, which seemed to radiate light. She was also called “Batool” because of her purity and asceticism. She spent most of her time in the recitation of the Holy Quraan, performing Salaah and doing other acts of Ibadah.
Fatima AS, Sayyidah Ayesha Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha said:
أقبلتفاطمةتمشيكأنمشيتهامشيالنبيصلىاللهعليهوسلم،فقال: “مرحباًبابنتي“. ثمأجلسهاعنيمينه،أوعنشماله
“I have not seen any one of Allah’s SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala creation resemble the Messenger of Allah ﷺ more in speech, conversation and manner of sitting than Fatimah Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha. When the Holy Prophet ﷺ saw her approaching, he would welcome her, stand up and kiss her, take her by the hand and sit her down in the place where he was sitting.” [Imam Bukhari in al-Adab al-Mufrad, Page 406, Hadith 421]
No One
No One From The Sahaba Resembled Rasool’Allah ﷺ More Than Sayyida Fatimah رضي الله عنها
In Her Character She Was Like Rasool’Allah ﷺ
In Her Mannerism,
In Her Disposition,
Even The Way She رضي الله عنها Walked Was Like Rasool’Allah ﷺ
She Even Looked Like Rasool’Allah ﷺ.
Subhan Allah!
Fatima-AS
One day Sayyiduna Ali Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha asked her to go to her father and ask for a servant. Sayyidah Fatimah Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha came to the Holy Prophet ﷺ. The Holy Prophet ﷺ said:
ألاأخبركماهوخيرلكمنه،تسبحيناللهعندمنامكثلاثاوثلاثين،وتحمديناللهثلاثاوثلاثين،وتكبريناللهأربعاوثلاثين
“Shall I not tell you of something better than that which you asked of me? I am telling you the words, which Jibra’eel Alaihis Salam has told me. You should say Subhan-Allah (Glory be to Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala) 33 times, Al-HamduLillah (Praise be to Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala) 33 times and Allahu Akbar (Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala is Great) 34 times.” [Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 5362]
This is called “Tasbeeh-e-Fatimah” and brings blessings upon the person who regularly recites it.
Sayyidah Ayesha Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha reported:
“We, the wives of Allah’s Apostle were with him (during his last illness) and none was absent therefrom that Fatimah Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha, who walked after the style of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ, came there, and when he saw her he welcomed her saying: ‘You are welcome, my daughter’. He then made her sit on his right side or on his left side. Then he said something secretly to her and she swept bitterly and when he found her (plunged) in grief, he said to her something secretly for the second time and she laughed. I (Ayesha Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha) said to her: ‘Allah’s Messenger ﷺ has singled you amongst the women of the family for talking to you something secretly and you wept’. When Allah’s Messenger ﷺ recovered from illness, I said to her: ‘What did he say to you?’ Thereupon, she said: ‘I am not going to disclose the secret of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ. When the Holy Prophet ﷺ passed away, I said to her: ‘I adjure you by the right that I have upon you that you should narrate to me what Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said to you.’ She said: ‘Yes, now I can do that. When he (Prophet ﷺ) talked to me secretly for the first time he informed me that Jibra’il Alaihis Salam was in the habit of reciting the Qur’an along with him once every year, but this year it had been twice and so he perceived his death quite near, so fear Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala and be patient (and he told me) that he would be a befitting forerunner for me and so I wept as you saw me. And when he saw me in grief he talked to me secretly for the second time and said: ‘Fatimah Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha, are you not pleased that you should be at the head of the believing women or the head of this Ummah?’ I laughed and it was that laughter which you saw.” [Sahih Muslim, Hadith 6467]
Sayyidah Ayesha Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha reported that when she asked Sayyidah Fatimah Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha the reasons of her crying and laughing when her father talked to her secretly, she said:
سارنيالنبيصلىاللهعليهوسلمفأخبرنيأنهيقبضفيوجعهالتيتوفيفيهفبكيتثمسارنيفأخبرنيأنيأولأهلبيتهأتبعهفضحكت
“Heﷺ informed me secretly of his death and so I cried. Heﷺ then informed me secretly that I would be the first amongst the members of his family to follow him, so I laughed.” [Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 3427 ; Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2450]
This Hadith shows the implicit faith that Sayyidah Fatimah Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha had in the words of her father. She believed that her father was given the Knowledge of Unseen. She was quite sure that the events would take the same turn as her father had informed her. This Hadith also shows that Sayyidah Fatimah Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anha loved her father more dearly than her husband and children, and her meeting with him in the Hereafter was a source of great comfort and consolation for her.

Ali went to space annd put a Boot to Some Ass "Ishallah"
"The Prophet (s) used to send Sayyidina `Ali to these planets that are near the earth.
One time Sayyida Fatima came to the Prophet (s) and said, “I am not coming to complain to you, O my father, but I have a problem.” He said, "Do you have a problem with Sayyidina `Ali?” She said, "No, my father. I feel shy to mention it. But sometimes he doesn’t come at night for 2 or 3 days. I have no doubts, but I am worried about him.” He said, "Don’t worry, I sent him to the planets that are nearest to the earth.”
How was he able to go without space shuttle. Which planets. They say now they are going to Mars and to the moon. More than that are they going we don’t know. We don’t know even, if they made the pictures up. But let us go with it, and say they went to those planets, how long it takes to send that spacecraft to Mars? They send it and even then they cannot bring it back. And it takes 2-3 years. Sayyidina `Ali - it takes him one moment. What did he use? Don’t be surprised what he used. Allah gave His Prophet (s) power, he used that power.
Ya ma`ashara aljinni wa’l-insi ini istata`tum an tanfuthoo min aqtari as-samawati wal-ardi fa’nfudhoo la tanfudhoona illa bi-sultan.
O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass! [55:33]
It means, “O jinn and ins if you are able to penetrate from the atmosphere of this earth you go, but you need a vehicle, a sultan. Not to go and don’t come. “Go and come!” [go there and return] Allah said.
Sayyidina `Ali was going with that sultan, Sultan al-`ilm. Kun
fayakoon. Allah gave the power to awliyaullah. Only drops or crumbs from Prophet’s power he gave to awliyaullah.
So Sayyidina `Ali was going with that power." - Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

🍃🌹🍃 Excellence Of Chief Of Ladies, Fatima al-Zahra (sa)
It is enough to say about Fatima (sa) that she is the beloved daughter of the Messenger of Allah (S). Her status is beyond imagination. She is included in verse of Purification1 and the verse of Malediction2.
She is the wife of His Eminence, Ali (as) and the grandmother of nine Imams (as). She is among the fourteen Infallibles (Masoomeen) and is also included among the Holy Five (Panjetan Paak). Numerous traditions regarding her merits have been recorded. A few of them are quoted below:
According to ‘A’ysha, she had not seen anyone more like the Holy Prophet (S) than Fatima al-Zahra (sa) in behavior, conversation and charity, and neither in the manner of standing and sitting. Whenever Lady Sayyida (sa) entered the residence of her father, the Holy Prophet (S) stood up from his place of honor and made her sit in his own place and kissed her. In the same way, when the Holy Prophet (S) went to his daughter’s house, she stood as a mark of respect and made her father sit in her own place and kissed him.3
Another tradition from ‘A’ysha says that once all the wives were present before the Messenger of Allah (S), when Lady Fatima (sa) arrived.
Her style of walking resembled that of the Messenger of Allah (S). Seeing her, the Prophet said, “Welcome, my daughter,” and made her sit to his right.4 We understand from this tradition how the Prophet (S) loved his daughter, Lady Fatima (sa).
We learn from Sahih Tirmidhi, Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim that the Messenger of Allah (S) said that Fatima (sa) was the chief of all the ladies of the world. Then how the statement of Pir Dastagir that the most prominent of women is ‘A’ysha and also Lady Fatima (sa) could be correct? Because according to his tradition, Lady Fatima (sa) is most prominent of all the women of the world, including ‘A’ysha and Lady Khadija al-Kubra (sa).
This unrelated statement only shows that Pir Dastagir has praised Sunnism by it and nothing else. But regret for those who consider these writings to be authentic and make them a part of their faith. According to Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal, Lady Fatima (sa) is the leader of the ladies of Paradise and in this way also she precedes ‘A’ysha and this also disproves Pir Dastagir’s statement.
On page 556 of Seeratul Muhammadiya, through the tradition of Hafiz Ibn Abde Barr through the chain of Abu Thalabi, it becomes clear that whenever the Messenger of Allah (S) returned from war or travel, he first entered the mosque and performed two unit Prayer; after that he visited Lady Fatima (sa) and then he went to his wives.
This shows how much the Prophet (S) loved his daughter, Lady Fatima (s.a.). Musavvir bin Hadhrama has stated that the Prophet said:
“Fatima is the piece of my flesh. Those who have angered Fatima, have angered me.”5
Perhaps the two Caliphs had no information about this tradition, otherwise, (in the words of Abul Fida) Abu Bakr would not have sent Umar to burn down the house of Fatima (s.a.) and on reaching her house, Umar would not have been so severe with her, and neither they would have harassed and harmed her so much, that when she passed away from the world, she was very angry at them.
What can be a greater proof of her anger that she willed to His Eminence, Ali (a.s.) that Umar and Abu Bakr should not attend her funeral and should not recite the burial prayer? Due to this, His Eminence, Ali (as) buried her at night, without making a general announcement of her death.
Let Maulavi Nazir Ahmad Sahab write whatever he likes about Lady Fatima (sa), but the anger of Lady Fatima (sa) is not in any way beneficial to Abu Bakr and Umar in both the worlds.
We learn from another tradition of ‘A’ysha that the Holy Prophet (S) said: “Fatima (sa) is the leader of the believing women and she is the chief among all Muslim ladies.”6
This tradition also negates Pir Dastagir’s above-mentioned statement.
Obviously, when according to the saying of the Messenger of Allah (S), Lady Fatima (sa) is the leader of Muslim women, how can ‘A’ysha be considered superior to her?
From the traditions of Seerate Muhammadiya7 and Sharh Fiqhe Akbar8, we know the reason of naming Lady Sayyida as Fatima (sa) was that she would save her progeny and the believers from chastisement on Judgment Day and her marriage was performed according to Allah’s command.
What doubt is there that she would not allow her progeny and followers to enter hell and what doubt is there that she was married to Imam Ali (as) by Allah’s command?
It is known that Umar wanted to marry her, but the Holy Prophet (S) knew that Allah’s will was that she marries His Eminence, Ali (as).
In this condition, it was necessary for the Holy Prophet (S) to refuse Umar’s proposal. We all know that this refusal caused a severe enmity of Umar towards Lady Fatima (sa) and her husband His Eminence, Ali (as) till the end.
In Jameus Saghir9 it is stated that the Messenger of Allah (S) said: “Allah has ordered me to marry my daughter Fatima to Ali.”
According to the tradition of Shoban in Isafur Raghebeen10, whenever the Messenger of Allah (S) went on a journey, first he bid farewell to his daughter. How this shows his love for her! In addition to paternal love, he had regard for her due to her exalted position near the Almighty. Another tradition of Isafur Raghebeen11 on the same page says that on the Day of Resurrection, an announcer will proclaim from the empyrean: “O people! Bow down your heads and close your eyes, so that the Lady of Paradise (S) may pass from the Sirat (bridge).”
The third tradition of page 170 of this book is that the Messenger of Allah (S) said:
“Allah is displeased if Sayyida is displeased and He becomes happy from her happiness.”
Tibrani has narrated this tradition from good chains of narrators from His Eminence, Ali (as) and it shows that in Islamic faith, the sorrow and pleasure of Fatima Zahra (sa) has a great importance and it is a fact that the hereafter of all Muslims depends on Allah’s pleasure and displeasure.
It seems that Abu Bakr and Umar were unaware of this tradition, otherwise, they would have refrained from angering Lady Fatima (sa). It is regretful that they displeased Lady Fatima (sa) very much. There is no escape from destiny. Righteousness is not under man’s control. Allah gives it to whomsoever He likes.
The fourth tradition is mentioned in this book12 from Ahmad that Ali (as) asked Lady Fatima (sa), “Some slave girls and slaves have come to your father, so ask for a servant for yourself.” Lady Fatima (sa) went to her father and requested him thus and said, “I am having blisters on my hands due to turning the millstone.”
The Prophet replied, “By Allah, I shall not give you; but I will teach you the best thing that Jibraeel has informed; that when you go to sleep, recite Ayatul Kursi (Throne Verse), Subhanallah (Glory be to Allah) 33 times, Alhamdo lillah (Praise be to Allah) 33 times and Allaahu Akbar (God is the Greatest) 34 times.”
This is called the rosary (tasbih) of Fatima Zahra and it is recited after every Prayer. This tradition is recorded in Sahih Bukhari on page 163. We should know that training of poverty becomes apparent from this tradition of the Prophet and the Prophet loved poverty very much. Such as his saying: “Poverty is my pride.”
A tradition in Nurul Ain Fi Mashhadul Hasnain by Abu Ishaq Asfaraini says that on Judgment Day, Lady Fatima (s.a.) will be mounted on the she-camel of Paradise and a crown of light will be on her head and the announcer will proclaim loudly: “O people close your eyes, so that the Lady of Judgment Day can pass by.” Then she would come to the empyrean and complain to Allah: “Unjust and wicked people have oppressed me and my sons. O Allah, take revenge from them.” Allah would say, “My dear, you intercede for whomsoever you like. I swear by My Glory that unjust people would not be forgiven.” Then Lady Fatima (s.a.) would say, “O Allah, forgive my believers and their sins.” Allah will order His Angels to release her believers as Fatima (sa) has the right to admit in heaven whomsoever she likes.
It seems that the two Caliphs were also unaware of this tradition, otherwise, they would not become the source of Fatima Zahra’s (sa) displeasure knowingly. It seems that they did not know the tradition about Fatima (sa) or they did not consider it trustworthy. Obviously, it seems that they regarded it to be useless. It is a matter of great regret that such an emphatic statement of the Messenger of Allah (S) should be disregarded as mere moral teaching.
Obviously, the Holy Prophet (S) was the one about whom the Quran says: “Nor does he speak out of desire…”13 and his words were the revelation of Allah. The believer cannot turn away from his words. Otherwise, everyone is free to do whatever one likes.
It is mentioned in Kanzul Haqaiq that the Messenger of Allah (S) said, “O Fatima (sa) be patient on the hardships of the world.” It shows training for poverty. Actually, it is a strange saying and for the believers, these words are source of deliverance and no other words can have such philosophical depth.
It is mentioned in Jameul Sagheer of Allamah Suyuti that the Chiefs of the Ladies of Paradise are four: Maryam (sa), Fatima Zahra (sa), Khadija (sa), Aasiya (s.a.). But Pir Dastagir writes that ‘A’ysha (sa)?is the most superior woman, thus making her superior to all the above-mentioned ladies. A greater praise for Sunnism was not possible!
In Tafseer Nishapuri14 and Seerate Muhammadiya15, Jabir Ansari is recorded to have stated that due to poverty, the Holy Prophet (S) did not eat anything. He went to his wives, but could not get anything. At last, he came to his daughter’s house and asked for something to eat. Lady Fatima (sa) said that she had nothing. So the Messenger of Allah (S) moved away from there. After his departure, a tray of food arrived from Paradise. Lady Fatima (sa) asked Hasan and Hussain (as) to go to their grandfather and call him back.
The Holy Prophet (S) came along with them to Lady Sayyida’s house and asked for the tray. The tray was full of mutton and bread. They all had the food as a feast from Allah and became very happy and thanked Allah. She kept that tray before the Messenger of Allah (S). The Messenger of Allah (S) asked where it has come from? This was the same question that Prophet Zakariya (as) asked Lady Maryam (sa) at the time of her pregnancy, as mentioned in Surah Aale Imran. Fatima Zahra (sa) replied, “It is the sustenance given by Allah.” And the same reply was of Maryam (sa) to the question of Prophet Zakariya (as).
Thus, the Holy Prophet (S), Lady Fatima (sa), His Eminence, Ali (as), Hasan and Hussain (pbbut) and some wives of the Prophet ate to satiation, but the food in the tray did not deplete. Obviously, since it was a feast from Allah, how can there be any question of decrease in it? This incident shows that the Messenger of Allah (S) often remained hungry. Hunger is a must for poverty. Then how is it possible that one who has said: “Poverty is my pride,” should not go without food?

"Man kunto maula, fahaza Ali un maula" which translates to:
"To whomever I am a Maula, this Ali (as) is also their Maula"
After this, he added
“I am leaving behind among you, two most precious things: Allah's Quran which contains guidance and light, and my Ahl ul Bayt who are my family members. BEWARE HOW YOU BEHAVE TOWARDS MY FAMILY ."
(HE REPEATED THIS THREE TIMES)
The Prophet ﷺ described him as “My brother”, in another Hadith he said “Ali (as)is from me and I am from him”.
