PSA: Put👏Your👏Collectible👏Books👏in👏Bags👏 My AC leaked. Some of my books are shelved underneath the AC. Three shelves of books were affected. Some were in plastic (Phew. My Dark Shadows. Expensive art books.) Some were not (signed Audrey Niffenegger, Kenneth Patchen, Mary Bogdan, Amelia Fais Harnas, and several others were not.) They are drying and there are now even more piles of books around our apartment. For the ones not in plastic, it doesn't look good. Please don't tell me to move the shelving unit anywhere else. We had the unit before our landlord insisted on putting the AC in (a tax credit for them. Nothing but problems for us.) We live in a one bedroom and make do with the space we have. I'm posting to remind you, if you have collectible books, take care of them. There is a good chance you will not be their final owner.
