1. What’s the last book you enjoyed reading?

I have read a bunch of good books recently, but the most recent one I finished was Deathless by Catherynne M. Valente. It was amazing! Dark and rich, and so very Russian. I loved it. 

2. If you designed a dream treehouse, what would it look like?

I imagine it would look something like a hobbit hole perched in the treetops. There would be a lot of tunnels leading to different rooms throughout the branches, open doors and windows for fresh air and easy tree-climbing access, and a ladder to the top so I could stargaze. It would be full to bursting with cushions and books. 

3. Name 3 standalone movies that are really close to your heart.

Why is this question so difficult!? Just 3?? Ok, I have a ton of standalone movies that I love, for various reasons. However, for a few that strictly speak to my heart, I will choose: Like Crazy, Casablanca, Atonement. 

4. What’s your favorite scent?

Jasmine, the soft spot on a horse’s neck, pine forests, old books, coffee, gardenia...

5. In a stage production, what role would you want? (actor, director, etc.)

Screenwriter, for sure. Or set-designer, if I was more artistically inclined. 

6. If anyone could travel to Mars for an affordable price, would you?

Absolutely, that’d be amazing. However, unlike those nincompoops in the movies, I would not remove my space helmet at the slightest hint of breathable air. Spores, people! Spores. 

7. What is your favorite form of exercise?

I don’t particularly enjoy any form of exercise...does walking my dog count?

8. What food/drink do you think is incredibly overrated?

Chik-Fil-A.

9. If you could have any animal in the world as a pet (assuming they would be happy and healthy in captivity), which would you choose?

Honestly, I’d be pretty content with my dog, cat, and a horse, but maybe a wolf? 

10. What are some song lyrics/lines that really speak to you?

11. How do you feel about silence?

The Sound of Silence cover by Disturbed is amazing, especially the vocals only version. Seriously, go listen. And personally? I love silence. It lets my mind breathe.
