OK ITS RANTING TIME ARGHHHHHH!!!!

Recently I have found that Monster High is going to be rebooted, to be more girly, less 'scary'. The reason I loved monster high so much as a kid is because it was DIFFERENT then all the plastic, blond haired, barbie dolls. Monster High's message is to be UNIQUE, and to be YOURSELF, despite what others might think. Sure it might be a little different, but if Mattel thinks they are going to make monsters less scary by slapping pastels everywhere, well good luck with that. Personally, I think they also might lose a lot of consumers with this change, the animation used to be flawless and well done, and the dolls themselves were already vibrant. Where as now, the animation is just horrible to watch, and the dolls are exactly what monster high was trying to NOT to be. Just like everyone else. Ss a kid monster high told us to EMBRACE our freaky flaws, no matter how weird or scary they might be, and I for one, even as a teenager, used to stay updated with the movies and webisodes BECAUSE they were different. BECAUSE they were something that no else dared to do. THAT is why I loved monster high, and I think changing it because of OTHERS opinions, is going against why monster high came to be in the first place. Please help save this beloved line, im not sure how much it will help but please come and sign this petition, and show mattel how many people loved the way monster high used to be, freaky flaws and all!

What EAH and MH has done for me

I’m 21 and live with Schizo Affective Disorder, Depressive Bipolar, and Borderline Personality disorder. It’s hard, and the Monster High and Ever After High dolls have been such an important and meaningful part of my life. I love them, my dolls are my babies.

They (and Sims) are like an escape in a way. I’m not sure how to put this into words but with the way things are in my life now, I have no job (thanks America), don’t have my liscense and am currently unable to be fully independent; but these dolls they help so much in way I’m not able to put into words. 

Seeing them go in this direction GREATLY upsets me to the point I started bawling so hard in front of my bookcase of dolls that I had my first nose bleed. I know that the targeted age is 6-10 years old and while we adult collectors make up a large portion of the consumers the most important thing is what the kids think. They want kids to play with them as long as possible but eventually kids will become teenagers who don’t want to play with toys, that’s life.

But kids like these dolls just the way they are. 

-I see so many people buying and playing with them. This season in every store we went in the aisle with them was packed.

-Just going to take my grandmother to the grocery store my mom saw one of the neighborhood girls with a Boo York Catty Noir.

-My niece always asks me if there are any new ones coming out, when they are coming out, and if she can see pictures. Every gift giving occaision she asks my mom and I for them.

-Even her 2 year old brother likes to play with them and tries to steal his sister’s.

So many of us are in agreement about this and I know there are kids that are too. So please, @monsterhigh @everafterhigh don’t go this direction.
