Glad to hear about Starbucks committing to doing away with their plastic straws by 2020. I hope this is just the beginning and it will prompt many other big companies to follow suit. With Finding Dory soon to release, it’s important to recognise that currently 90 per cent of marine fish found in aquarium shops come from the wild. #Reeffish populations are already struggling due to warmer sea temperatures and #ocean acidification caused by global warming. The last thing they need is to be plucked off reefs. These fish are best viewed in their natural habitat. However, if you are planning to adopt #nemo or other reef fish, make sure to select nursery-bred fish. #Clownfish are extremely easy to breed and females lay many eggs at a time so there is really no reason to collect them from the wild. Nursery-bred fish are also far happier and healthier in tanks than wild-caught fish.
