Can we talk about how IMPORTANT fostering dogs is not only to me but to dogs in general? Dogs are domesticated animals. They need ppl just as much as we need them. They are also extremely overpopulated. We've run out of people to care for them and places to put them. The shelters are full. The rescues are full. Sure we continue to squeeze them in anywhere possible and a great place to do that is in a regular home like mine or yours. Shelter life is stressful as is life in a rescue kennel for many dogs. Foster homes provide a temporary place for dogs to feel like they're at home and get the love and exercise all dogs deserve. It warms my heart to help these little bops feel safe and cozy for a few days before their transport up north! If your in the oxford area (or willing to drive here to pic up a furiend) and interested in fostering any kinds of dogs of any ages please dm me!! The foster period is usually about 2 weeks!! And trust me your dog will LOVE it!!! Hi!!! I’m haddie and I’m what they call a foster dog. My foster family came and got me from Norfolk animal control today! I am about 25 pounds and full grown. I have a chunk of ear missing but I like to call it my uniqueness. I am learning how to be part of a “pack” I’m a little scared of other dogs but I’m starting to like my foster sister Zhu zhu. I really like my crate, it helps me feel safe. I don’t mind cats at all, I’m a little skiddish about noises and things I have never known but my foster mom says I’ll get used to them. I like food a lot. I really like people, I’m looking for a family to love me forever. I just want to love people. I’m really good at giving hugs and kisses. I want to be your shadow. 🏥🚑PLEDGES NEEDED MED TREATMENT FOR LEFT EYE🚑🏥 Annie the Boxer has had a rough few days. She was found walking on a feeder road off Hwy 45! Thankfully a citizen was able to get her in her car & to the shelter for help. Annie has not been a “street dog” very long. She either recently got lost or dumped. She is completely terrified, & unsure of her surroundings. She does have a serious injury to her left eye. Shelter Vet recommends she see an eye specialist.... she suspects it may need to be removed.
