Impact Wrestling Review: January 12th, 2022
Overall, this was an excellent show and a great final stop on the road to Hard To Kill tomorrow night. Here's my thoughts:
Pretty good recap of all of Bully's antics, sadly they do focus on last week's ending but it looks like D'Amore is gone for a while.
I like Josh's and Bully's back and forth promos, this is doing a lot to get me hyped for the title match tomorrow.
Brian Myers vs. Heath was a really good opening match, good pace and some really hype stuff. Highlights included a sick dive by Heath off the ring apron, and Heath again with a powerslam off the top rope.
Ace and Bey had a really good promo for their match, they might be my pick for winning it.
Taya getting jumped was legitimately sad, but Rosemary's quip about her having too many mimosas was pretty funny.
Rosemary vs Savannah Evans was an excellent match, very intense and impressive offense by Rosemary. Rosemary continues to rule/be one of my favorites on the show, Gisele Shaw was wearing a really cute dress which I loved and Rosemary hit a HUGE T-bone suplex.
Spooky little promo by Taylor Wilde, I'm intrigued by this change in personality.
Awesome video package for Jordynne vs Mickie, I'm hyped for the match.
I really like The Design's entrance, but I'm confused still as to why Sami is joining them. I love how dramatic this is, I just want to see where this is all going.
A surprise GM for Impact? This could be interesting.
Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Anthony Greene was a great match, always cool to see Bailey in action. Greene hit an amazing tope suicida, as well as a mega hype flipping powerbomb. Ultimate Weapon is still an amazing finisher.
An awesome video package for Alexander vs Bully Ray, I'm hyped for Full Metal Mayhem.
Moose, Eddie Edwards & Steve Maclin vs. Rich Swann, Jonathan Gresham & Joe Hendry was a great, hard hitting main event. Joe Hendry hit a majorly impressive stalling suplex, Gresham hit a smooth springboard moonsault and Moose hit a brutal spear for the win.
Highly recommend checking this show out if you haven't, it's the perfect preview for the PPV tomorrow.

𝓣𝓾𝓻𝓷 𝓫𝓪𝓬𝓴 𝓽𝓸 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓸𝓵𝓭 𝓓𝓮𝓮
Impact Wrestling
November 16th 2023
Considering the foul mood that Deonna Purrazzo was in last week, it should come as no surprise to anybody that the Virtuosa insisted on starting this week. It should also come as no surprise to anybody that Tenille Dashwood didn’t argue and was happy to let her partner start the match against the much more powerful Savannah Evans. Despite the obvious size disadvantage, Purrazzo was able to take the early advantage and quickly target the arm and shoulder, at one point even attempting the Fujiwara Armbar but failing to fully apply the hold. A second attempt at the hold brought Gisele Shaw into the ring without a tag. Inevitably, Dashwood also entered the ring to even the sides as the match broke down in near record time.
All four women would ignore the official’s attempts to restore order with Shaw hitting half of Shock and Awe on Dashwood, only for Purrazzo to make the save with a forearm smash to the face. Stunned, Shaw was unable to save herself as Dashwood roughly sends the Quintessential Diva out of the ring. Before following Shaw to the floor, Dashwood returns the favour to her partner by coming to the aid of the Virtuosa. With Evans ready to hit a full nelson bomb, Dashwood connects with a shot to the kidneys. Quickly breaking free and snatching hold of Evans’ wrist, Purrazzo takes the bigger woman to the mat with the Fujiwara Armbar being applied on the third attempt.
As per usual when Purrazzo has a submission applied, Dashwood runs interference with a low drop kick to knock Shaw back off the apron, just as she was returning to the ring. With no assistance coming her way and no way of escaping the tight hold, Evans opts to avoid risking injury and taps out without a single tag being made on either side. Even with the bell sounding, Purrazzo keeps the hold applied for an extra few seconds, letting some of her frustrations out on her opponent. It’s only when the official threatens to disqualify the Virtuosa that she releases the hold and Evans can escape. It turns out that Gail Kim’s attack on Purrazzo following the duos altercation at Turning Point might have inadvertently brought the old Virtuosa back to the surface, and that can’t be good news for any of her upcoming opponents, much to the approval of Dashwood.

Impact Wrestling Review: January 5th, 2023
This is the first episode of Impact in the new year, and (barring the ending) it was overall a very awesome show! Here are my thoughts:
Masha Slamovich vs Taylor Wilde was a pretty good/solid opener, Deonna was great on commentary and the surprise ending with the rollup was good. Masha absolutely wrecking the security guard at the end of it was a nice touch as well.
A great promo by Sami Callihan, I'm interested to see what happens between him and The Design.
A good promo by Rich Swann, should be a good match at Hard To Kill.
Black Taurus vs Anthony Greene was a great, fast paced match; Crazzy Steve continues to rule with his pre-match promos and Destination Hellhole is a SICK finisher.
Kenny King destroying five people in a gym was awesome, and so was Mike Bailey's response. Very intense stuff leading into their match at HTK.
Ernest R. Anthony vs Jonathan Gresham was my Match of the Night, it was short but very entertaining. Loved all the creative ways Gresham worked the leg, and him winning via pinfall WITH a submission applied was a great finish.
Intrigued to see what happens with Gisele and Steelz/Evans, they could be the right team to feud long term with the Death Dollz.
Awesome promo by Deaner, hyped for next week.
Nice video package for Josh Alexander.
An okay promo from Moose, and an AMAZING parody from Joe Hendry. I'm glad to see Impact is letting him do his song parodies now.
Really nice retrospective for Mickie James, I'm impressed that they let her acknowledge WWE.
Really nice tribute video for Don West, I wasn't watching when he was on commentary but I can tell he was amazing.
Matt Cardona vs Chris Sabin was a fast paced, hard hitting, hype match. Commentary arguing over an "accidental armdrag" was hilarious, the Reboot getting countered into Cardona going over the top was absolutely hype, and the Cradleshock is a hype finisher.
Then, sadly there came the ending of the show. Rehwoldt protecting Hannifan from Bully was pretty nice, but why is Scott D'Amore of all people coming out to make the save? I really don't like D'Amore as a good guy, the whole ending segment kinda dragged on. Not a great way to cap off the show, but didn't detract too much from the awesomeness of everything else.
Overall it was an awesome show, and one I can definitely recommend.
