Kenny Omega is the current holder of the AEW World Champion, in an interview with Tokyo Sports stated that right now the WWE is desperate because of the AEW. ‘In the beginning, there was a huge difference between WWE and AEW. AEW was, after all, just a promoter that was just starting out. But have you noticed how things have changed? WWE is desperate. They continue to bring back legends every two weeks. Covid-19 is a terrible thing, and we never wanted it to happen, but it is what it is. As for the partnership between AEW and NJPW, Kenny Omega explains that this was a goal he and the Young Bucks had. ‘We are really open. One of the goals that the Young Bucks and myself have is for us to have an open policy with all promoters, and we hope to make the best content possible. We've managed to make AEW such a place because, whatever you've said, we're confident and grounded enough to stand up for what we've proudly achieved so far. They saw Minoru Suzuki and Satoshi Kojima fight at our regular events that have over 10,000 fans. There are no restrictions behind this. If they [NJPW fighters] have the confidence to come here, I'd love to see them fight at AEW.’ #kennyomega #wwe #aew #aewdynamite #allelitewrestlingnews #allelitewrestling #youngbucks #njpw #minorusuzuki #satoshikojima #wwelegends (at Boston Masashusett) https://www.instagram.com/p/CUaZimbsIN0/?utm_medium=tumblr

With the G1 halfway over, who are your top 5 MVPs of the tournament so far?
/r/squaredcircle thread
1. Yuji Nagata, when all's said and done very few guys will have a perfect record of 'good' or entertaining matches. Block B all have to contend with Yano. Yuji Nagata though hasn't had a single match I would call a dud or even one I'd call 'mediocre'. The guy is going out on his back again and again, but always puts on an entertaining fight doing it.
2. Michael Elgin, he is making the case for himself to be the next gaijin to hold the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. While the obvious gaijin to do it is Kenny Omega, Elgin isn't about to let people forget how great of a performer he is. Probably the best matches for Okada and Omega.
3. Juice Robinson, the guy has really shown his fighting spirit. While he isn't racking up points, he is winning favor with me and others who have watched. His matches with Okada and Suzuki being 2 of the best on that block for me. I loved his fight with Suzuki more than most though.
4. Kota Ibushi, coming back NJPW Kota Ibushi has had great matches pretty much anytime he has been in the ring. I can't imagine him vs Tanahashi, Goto or Nagata will let down. So he will likely stay on this list unless his chemistry with those great workers is just completely not there.
5. ZSJ, this is his first G1 Climax and he is really winning over the crowd with his unique submission/catch style. His matches also are standing out in the field full of strong style. It's nice to have variety and ZSJ brings that to the tournament.
Others :
Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tetsuya Naito, Kenny Omega, Minoru Suzuki and Kazuchika Okada have all done fine, but not really surprising.
Omega/Okada have not really reached the heights they have vs one another earlier in the year... though could have match of the tournament in Block B's final night.
Naito has been great, but not surprisingly so. His match with Ibushi though is my favorite of the tournament so far.
Minoru Suzuki's matches are fun, but I think lean too heavily on outside interference and brawling on the outside. It can be fun, but it's making lots of his matches feel a bit samey.
Tomohiro Ishii, Tama Tonga, EVIL, SANADA, Hirooki Goto, have all put on good matches though seem like an afterthought. I don't think any of them are going to win and I'm not into them enough to really be pulling for them.
I love Ishii, but I have to give the nod to Elgin over Ishii in the G1 Hoss race. Elgin has just been having a better G1, it might have to do with blocks or Elgin might just have more to prove.
Toru Yano, Yoshi-Hashi, Kojima, Togi Makabe and Bad Luck Fale, this is basically the I don't really care for them group. I'm sure all these guys have their fans and can put on great work, but I get a little bored when their matches come up.
Yano is fun and his match with Kenny Omega was golden, but his matches lack an urgency because... it's Yano.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Kojima/Makabe have had decent matches, but I just don't have any investment in them. Kojima in particular always seems outpaced so early in his matches and then always has a comeback sequence before being caught off guard and pinned.
Bad Luck Fale/Yoshi-Hashi/Makabe all have offense I don't really like seeing. Though I'll give Fale/Makabe credit as being good big men people have to overcome, that's what they feel like to me. Obstacles for the talents I do like to overcome and beat. It makes for great moments like the thin as a rail ZSJ getting the pin on Fale.

G1 Night 6 Finishes
Another day and another batch of great G1 Climax matches.
We had two unbreakable lariat machines meet in the opening match where Michael Elgin took on Satoshi Kojima. Probably the best match to feature Satoshi Kojima so far in the tournament, though his night 2 match vs Juice was also tons of fun. This match perhaps had more urgency than the first 2 matches these men had because neither has points on the board, so the loser was going to be dead last in their block after a loss.
Then we had the brawl of Evil vs Tama Tonga, probably the most brawl focused match of the G1 so far. With both men spending much more than even a 20 count outside the ring. Though I’m not sure the bell rang before both men made their exit and brawled to the back of the room. A fun hard hitting bout between two of the middle pack talents in the G1 this year.
Minoru Suzuki vs Juice Robinson was excellent and probably my favorite from both so far this tournament. Juice Robinson showed some real fighting spirit in this toe to toe confrontation with the leader of Suzuki-Gun. Juice even fought off El Desperado who has been constantly helping Suzuki and ZSJ who are both representing Suzuki-Gun in this tournament. While not as brawl oriented as Evil/Tama Tonga this match had plenty of outside the ring action.
This take a turn for the silly as they always do when Toru Yano is around. He and Kenny Omega clashed in the penultimate match of the night and Yano turned up the silly to 11 in the best ways possible. Whether it’s uncovering all the turnbuckles and throwing the pads outside, tying up Kenny Omega’s legs or starting the fight off with a DVD case full of powder Yano pulled out all the tricks in an attempt to get the upset win over Kenny Omega. Omega who was game to play silly... though never dropped the competitive edge that has seen him undefeated so far this year at the G1 Climax.
Finally we had the Main Event, Kazuchika Okada vs Sanada in the final tournament match of the night. Okada being the heavy favorite since he is the current IWGP champion and has been defending that belt in stellar fashion all year. Sanada though has been one of the many stars of Ingobernables that has been winning over fans this year. He performed well in another stellar Okada match. It probably won’t garner 5 stars, but it was an exciting watch and Sanada looked close to winning many times using his Dragon Sleeper and Moonsault along with some underhanded tactics like sneaking a towel into the ring to choke with.
1. Kazuchika Okada vs. Michael Elgin
2.  Juice Robinson vs Minoru Suzuki
3. Minoru Suzuki vs. Kenny Omega
4.  EVIL vs. Juice Robinson
5.  Michael Elgin vs Satoshi Kojima
6.   Kazuchika Okada vs Sanada
7.   Minoru Suzuki vs. SANADA
8.  Kenny Omega vs. Tama Tonga
9.   Satoshi Kojima vs. Juice Robinson
10.  SANADA vs. EVIL
11.  Evil vs Tama Tonga
12.  Kenny Omega vs Toru Yano
13. Michael Elgin vs. Tama Tonga
14. Kazuchika Okada vs. Toru Yano
15. Satoshi Kojima vs. Toru Yano
Yet again, these are after watching them once or twice the day of and not again since. It’s also just personal preference and taking into account how urgent the matches feel. Yano probably isn’t going to win block B, though he might screw someone out of winning block B. Normally matches where people are pretty evenly matched will get me more excited than a match up where one guy is the obvious pick for the victory.
