My case in UNOVA/DECOLORE:

NegaiShipping / SatoAi (Ash/Satoshi & Iris): This was a relationship I absolutely adored when BW first started. FINALLY A JUNGLE GIRL WITH NO BIKE FOR ASH TO ZAP xD Also these two goobers feel like brother and sister, eating at the same pace, adventurous, and have their partner by their side since the very beginning! Out of all the main girls, Iris does have the most similar traits with Ash...you can’t deny that. Yes, even the Kodomo ne/”such a kid” trait since both of them are technically xD I really didn’t find it annoying as most people did, in fact I thought it was cute gesture of her to do that to a friend. Favorite moment - Easy, the episode that was made for NegaiShipping! Their argument and reconciliation at Capacia Island with the flower and apple. It’s one of my favorite episodes too in the Decolore arc. Some cute stuff <3

WishfulShipping / DentAi (Cilan/Dent & Iris): Now this is another shipping I initially thought I wouldn’t like, but eventually found myself enjoying as the series progressed! Iris’s rural homegrown attitude compared to Cilan’s sophisticated intellect was another clash of personalities type of ship that everyone seemed to love. When Ash wasn’t in the picture they backed each other up, and cheered each other on when the time for battle commences. Despite their ideal differences they still consider each other to be good friends.  Favorite moment - The episode where I first loved the Wishful pairing...the paranormal Yanmask episode at the Nacarene Museum. Iris and Cilan argue on whether or not there is a ghostlike creature inside the building, but Cilan ignored all her claims and had a more logical point of view. Later on when Cilan was posses, Iris became concerned for him despite that frustrating debate they had.

BestWishesShipping (The whole Unova trio!): I don’t know why, but for some reason I just get a this feeling that this trio can work well in a love triangle. As much as I LOVED and GREW-UP with the original trio of Ash, Brock and Misty, I would prefer this trio in terms of development and overall chemistry (probably gonna get some backlash with that statement). These three definitely pull it off for me as a damn good trio that have their share of laughs, cries and their willingness to learn new things and improve in order to achieve all their dreams.

ImaginationShipping / SatoBel (Ash/Satoshi & Bianca/Bel): A.k.a. please stop pushing me to a puddle of water. Every time when Bianca appears on-screen (or even temporarily travel with them) it’s always fund to her adorable clumsiness affect Ash. It’s literally like she can’t chill with the three of them until she comes into direct contact with Ash some way or another xD Favorite moment - The episode where Ash defended Bianca from her father that wanted her to give up traveling and come home. Her father was absoultely destroying Ash during that battle but she couldn’t take it anymore to see any of his Pokémon hurt and decided to obey her dad. In the end, her papa saw the good heart and nobleness of Ash's determination for a friend like his daughter. Maybe even a new son-in-law in the future.

SommelierShipping / DanCabe (Cilan/Dent & Burgundy/Cabernet): A tasteful ship indeed! The moment I saw another trainer type of Cilan’s kind, I knew I would love this ship. Burgundy’s career path of becoming a Sommlier/Connaisseuse IS BECAUSE OF CILAN...and a lovely revenge I guess. Even after Cilan knew she’s out for revenge he still treats her nicely and even gives advice on becoming a better Connaisseuse. She may be angry at times, but I know deep down she appreciates it ;) Favorite moment - It was in one of the Junior Cup tournament episodes, where she said that she didn’t really care to see Cilan battling. Georgia then teases her that she may have hidden feelings for him in which she ragefully blushed about the statement (blushing in ships is great isn’t it?).

Honorable mentions: Okay there’s A LOT to mention here with the ships I liked in BW, but I’ll try to keep it as brief as I can...gotta love the BW rivals! Stephan and Bianca’s relationship is built on MUSCLES especially with Stephan’s flexing Sawk. Burgundy and Gerogia may despise each other at times but have similar goals of taking down their respective rivals which can make them a really dangerous team if they ever get together. Finally, Ash and Stephan OR Ash and Cameron is the most boyish brOTP in Pokémon with a lot of spunk, battles and full of testosterone! To be honest, I don’t really ship Trip with anyone, but if I had to pick maybe Iris?(they had some good interaction in that one episode) Iris and Shannon’s childhood friendship is too precious for me not to consider it as a SIStp (does that term exist? lol), but it sucks that we didn’t really get to see much of her either (same with Leona in DP). Iris’s Axew and Ash’s Scraggy are my all-around favorite Pokébuddies in the anime! They’re literally brothers doing things together (Scraggy is the younger brother though they’re kinda like twins). Iris and Excadrill’s relationship however didn’t really start off well until she matured to realize winning battles are not what’s important. On a better note, Ash and Meloetta had a cute relationship in the Operation Tempest arc (kind of gave me the movie Latias vibe). Oh yes, and CafeMochaShipping! Dawn maybe Ash’s best FEMALE tag partner, but Cilan without a doubt takes the cake for being his male tag partner when it comes to battles! Cilan, who is older than Ash, looks up to him and wants to “TASTE” everything that is about him (okay, that came out a bit weird...). Oshawott’s lovey dovey attitude when he sees a cute female Pokémon also deserves a mention (dat male Purrloin ep tho). He is the Brock of Pokémon!

satoru plops down on the ground, stretching his long legs as best as he can to make his lap a comfortable seat for you. he can’t have you sitting on the raw grass after all—you came unprepared, and now he’s taking the role of a blanket beneath you. “park that pretty ass here, love”, he taps on his lap once, then opens his arms big to welcome you. you giggle softly, “so chivalrous of you”, as you crouch down and rest yourself atop of him, back leaning against his chest. his arms quickly and naturally wrap themselves around your waist, holding you close.

“well of course”, his chin nuzzled in the crook of your neck from behind, he breathes in your scent and pecks a soft kiss right behind your ear. “can’t have my lovely wife sit on the ground without a blanket and ruin that lovely dress-like oversized shirt with grass stains, you know?”

“we came to watch the stars, remember?”, you breathe into his mouth before pulling away. a pained growl incurs from his throat at the loss of your warm lips. “no”, his neck craning lower, chasing after what he’s lost. “don’t care about the stars when i have the entire universe in my arms”
