Not every town along the Camino has these big signs that are clearly intended for photos/selfies, but I love them; so here are four photos of me with names of Spanish towns/cities from when I did the Camino this last spring.

Sept 6

Samos - Sarria 15km

We had a great time in Samos. We actually got to have a tour of the monastery. It was incredible but the priest giving the tour only spoke in Spanish . So of course we did not understand what he was explaining. Sometimes I would try and use my translation app , but it did not always work . Anyways, It was still very interesting and worth looking at .

We left at 8 am as we only had a short walk today , around d 16 km . It was a beautiful walk as well . One of the best so far . The only downfall was there was nothing at all like a bar or coffee shop to stop and have a break . Still , as the walk was so beautiful , we really did not mind that much .

Once we reached the outskirts of Sarria a bar came into sight and we could have our first bite to eat for day . I was a little hungry by now .

When we left the bar it just started to lightly rain . Nothing much a few sprinkles. We made it into Sarria by noon . So it was too early to check into hotel so we stopped and a glass of wine and tapas .

I can’t believe how cold it is . I did not bring warm clothes at all. A rain jacket and one long sleeve shirt which is not warm . It was only 8 degrees this morning . We have gone from extreme heat to now cold in a matter of just one week.

I will have to buy a sweater as I am quite cold . We are now in the hotel and I have had a hot shower and feel wonderful. Now we are going to find a laundry mat to clean some clothes, and wander around Sarria as it is kind of a rest day today .

We have now almost reached the 100 km to go mark , time is going fast .
