Just got back from Disneyland, which reminded me of this picture, which I drew on the plane back from Disneyworld a few years ago. Jedi Academy training is the show where they recruit a bunch of pint sized padawans from out of the audience and teach them to use lightsabers. Then, Darth Vader appears, and they have to fight him, 1:1.

...I’ve always imagined that Sarifime and Hezek, age 8, make a beeline straight for him before any of the actors playing Jedi can stop them. He is then beaten back off the stage in a pelter of plastic.

Free Puppies

Well, if you don't want 'em, I'm sure I can find them a home somewhere! (Sarifime Beren, Age 11, Goldenflats Before the Rapture)

An advertisement for free kittens at a pet grooming place near my new office inspired me to pull this old favorite out of the archive and color it. No puppy-free home goes unbadgered in a 10mi* radius of our dauntless heroine.

*50, as soon as she gets a license for the pickup; for some reason, Justice Beren/dad won't let her drive the tractor out onto the interstate.

Angel of Radiance

I have an awesome new job! But learning all kinds of new programming languages and paradigms seems to be cramping the part of my brain that manufactures romance novels. To counter, I'm working through our backlog of unpainted miniatures. Here's an attempt at Reaper Miniature's Angel of Radiance.

...It's a little disconcerting to see them larger than life in these pictures. Also, I couldn't get her eyes to come out even so: war paint! It's all the fashion among this generation of Seraphim. 

Sculpt by Bob Ridolfi. Colors and incandescence borrowed from the undauntable Sarifime Beren. Wing stuck-ness courtesy of Krazy Glue which, after trying for hours with green stuff and some other knock off brand, was probably the best spent $2.72 of the year.
