Can I know more about Blue (Navy and True)? Max/Logan👀

yes oh my god!

So it takes place during a fictional 2024 season where williams are doing pretty well, like not fantastic, they’re not at the top of the mid-field but also not at the bottom, and Logan’s seat is still in jeopardy. Max and Logan’s friendship starts in Spa.

directly after the snippet i posted, Logan sort of goes toe-to-toe with Jos about Max’s place during the race (which he lost) and it’s implied that Logan doesn’t have a good relationship with his father. Max feels something for the way Logan was so ready to jump in between him and his father.

the fic kind of goes from Logan defending Max from that one incident to Logan being someone Max can depend on outside of his immediate circle. The two are able to depend on each other from then on and were usually seen together at the paddock or at other events where Max invited Logan as his guest.

They go from friends to something even they can’t understand or describe until *surprise* they both crash out during a race and have a whole revelation about their feelings.

just saw your post about sargestappen and i'm starting to kind of become obsessed with it?? like max and logan are two of my favorite drivers and i personally need more content of them together!! romantic is fun but also the potential for the angst and hurt/comfort with max being a supportive figure for logan is insane. 🤏 this close to just writing it myself tbh

they definitely have the potential to be so tragic i think about them daily. I did give in to the urge to write something about them but completely lost the plot halfway through because Logan is just so lover boy coded that all the drivers i write him with have the potential to be romantic

[context: Jos showed up after Spa to Max’s hotel room, Logan just happens to be there]

He wakes Max up, talks him through the morning-after anxiety all while ignoring the knocks that are becoming louder as the seconds tick by. Max is still sleep rumpled, eyes half-lidded with the barest of confusion, hair sticking everywhere and the imprint of the pillow still fresh on his face. His eyes are panicked when Logan tells him who’s at the door.

“I can deal with him.” Logan says, “Or I let you and him talk.”

Max snorts, the panic giving way for the tempered anger that seems to become one with him. Logan doesn’t laugh, or snort, or give any indication that he thought the situation was funny. It was, in some fucked up twisted way, funny that a F1 nobody was willing to stand in between Max Verstappen and his father when everyone else has failed to do the same.

Max seems to catch onto this, in reading what Logan is writing. His body sags, like a puppet getting his strings cut. He holds his head in between his hands, his body shuddering.

“I’m just really tired.” Max says quietly and Logan nods.

“There’s food on the table,” He instructs, “I will deal with him.”

the way i was minding my own business (my post about sargestappen and me finding a sargelonso fic) scrolling through the logan sargeant tag was so insane that i genuinely had to go sit down

but so far the fics have been really good and they do play into that, but yeah just that out of any of the grid members, nando was not my first thought for any logan/ older grid member pairing
