Little sneak peak for you guys :3
Knowing he should use his guiding abilities here made him hesitate. Especially as he remembered what it felt the previous time. The protectiveness and danger had just made him almost melt. Guiding his chakra to his hand that was pushed against the barrier he let his instinct guide him to push chakra to the barrier until it started to crack like ice when it was too thin for you to walk on it.
Remembering the feeling of closeness and how right Madara's mind had felt surrounding him he let the barrier crash on the ground.
Wave of wariness crashed against him like a wave before it seemed to calm down to the gentle wind that circled him. Stepping inside the mindspace that had been closed from him, the ground radiated warmth from the sole of his foot to his upper body.
It made him want to just sit down and lay down to sleep, but he needed to find Madara. Tobirama could only wake the sentinel if he found the mind's owner.
Stepping forward he let his instinct guide him the right way. His feet brought him closer to the volcano; the air seemed heavier.
It reminded him of fights that Madara and Hashirama had before in the war when they let themselves go a little too far and resembled more like gods than humans. The pressure of their chakra had this same constrict feeling like his airway was blocked or he was strangled by hot hands.
"Madara, where are you? My Sentinel? Please, come to me," he called again, hoping that his the sentinel heard him call this time.
The ground shook as he sent the call and he fell to the ground. Hissing as he had been close to one of the cracks that pushed lava out. Looking at his hands he hissed as there were burns where he had touched the lava, even if he had expected to find only flesh and bones and not only burn marks.
"TOBIRAMA!" Something heavy crashed into him and he opened his eyes to see blue sky as heavy body was embracing him with force that made him feel his ribs protesting. He was out of mindspace. It felt really disorienting to see blue sky and not eerie red.
"Madara," He called, getting said man's face buried to his neck where Sentinel took deep breath. It tickled his neck and he tried to lower his hands to wide shoulders that bound him to ground but warm hands grabbed his hands and kept them in the ground. Low growl vibrated from that wide chest to his own as he tried to shake the hold off.
"Madara, calm down. Everything is okay. Breathe," He beckoned gently as he got one hand free and softly petted the mess that the mass of hair had turned somehow.

Going to be gone for a baby shower starting Friday and will be making a miniature vacation of it since I'll be going all the way to good old Kansas. I won't be able to write much (if at all) until the middle of next week most likely. I'll be coming and going, but I'll try to answer all my messages/asks whenever I get a moment!
That being said, I'm making progress on the mdtb Fae!AU I've been working on for @sarcasticfoxy so have a little peeksie until I can get something solid out again :D!
[Snippet Below]
Nearly two years pass before Tobirama sees the yōsei again, but it is a brief encounter, for all that it turns out to be a rather impactful one, too.
A band of Hagoromo has managed to catch him unawares while on patrol, and it is only the mere fact that they have dared to cross onto Senju lands that allows them their brief edge over Tobirama in the first place, unexpected as it is.
He curses himself for his complacency even as he rushes for the waters of the Naka, determined to draw the Hagromo away from his younger clanmates who’d had the unfortunate fate to be selected for patrol training that night.
Tobirama is more experienced in terms of battlefield engagements, even though he is not much older than the group of younglings he can sense heading further and further away from the Hagoromo currently dogging his footsteps. By now his squadmates should be drawing close to the clan compound, he suspects. They know to make their forces aware of the Hagoromo’s unprovoked incursion onto their lands, and to send support as quickly as possible. Despite the lack of manpower he currently has to fall back on, he is confident he has the best chances of surviving until then, at least more so than his clanmates who have only recently perfected their sword and weapon work to the point they had been given license to begin their patrol training.
He is his father’s heir, his only remaining son, and Tobirama cannot allow himself to die just yet.
The banks of the Naka finally come into view, its depths turned silver from the light of the large, full moon that hovers overhead and Tobirama dodges the no doubt poisoned arrow that bursts from the line of trees he has just left behind with nimble ease.
It lands with a heavy thud into the center of a wide, old tree on the opposite side of the river as Tobirama spins about, already weaving hand signs to call the water at his back to his call.
“Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu!”
The dragon that rises from the Naka is made of water but just as deadly as the jutsu’s mythic namesake as it crashes into the first three Hagoromo that stupidly rush out of the forest in an attempt to likely herd Tobirama into an ambush of some sort. Tobirama knows that they have underestimated him because of his smaller stature, and he takes full advantage of it in the way he follows up his first attack with a line of water bullets that take down another man that has rushed out of the forest on the heels of his comrades being drowned beneath Tobirama's onslaught.
Tobirama does not flinch when the shinobi’s body hits the ground with a wet, dull thud and instead eyes the forestline tensely.
Four more nin hide within the trees ten standard house lengths away, but Tobirama knows there is a fifth man somewhere among the greenery, though he cannot find him for some reason. Tobirama is certain of it, as much as he is of the blade he holds in his right hand. He had taken a physical accounting of the unit’s nine members with his own eyes when he’d intercepted and drawn them away from the Senju’s laughably underpowered patrol unit. He cannot account for the fifth man for some strange reason, and Tobirama’s red eyes flicker uselessly over the treeline as if to instead physically track the interloper. There is nothing but nature’s own brand of energy humming in the background for all that he tries, and fails, to use his sensing abilities to find the errant shinobi. No matter how carefully he looks there are no additional bright coils of blue tinged chakra to track and it sets him on edge, the lack of presence that should be there but isn’t.
Then, a moment later, there is a flicker of bright-white-cold chakra that flares suddenly to the right of him.
He has just enough time to turn and watch as the missing Hagoromo member flickers into existence an arm’s length away, seemingly bleeding from the shadows of the night before the man’s form begins to shift in a terrifying fashion. Tendrils of black, almost tar-like appendages ripple out from the man’s skin which melts away to reveal a writhing mass of similar tentacles that serve as the strange creature’s body.
Tobirama’s fear is sudden and all consuming, the realization hitting him that he is far too close to the creature at the very moment one of the tentacles shoots out at him, glistening like freshly spilled oil in the moonlight. The tentacle sharpens down to a spike, fluid in appearance but no doubt rock hard. He can almost immediately see the path it takes, his lips parting on a silent cry when he sees how it is due to pierce through his chest and–
An explosion of chakra surges in front of Tobirama suddenly, buffeting the strange creature back and causing Tobirama to fall to his own knees from the sheer concussive pressure that follows. A bright blue light colors the ground and air at all sides of Tobirama's vision before a translucent, monstrous rib cage suddenly forms around him, bracketing him in.
Tobirama shifts onto his now numb knees and attempts to assess the barrier as quickly as he can despite his fear, but no further encroachment towards his person follows. The black creature that had attacked him lingers beyond the strange blue wall of chakra, slithering back and forth like a twisted snake as it looks for any weakness to exploit.
It would seem, Tobirama is reluctantly willing to guess, that he is safe for the moment.
He finally dares to glance up and sees a large, towering skeletal figure that is so tall that it makes his mind spin. He doesn’t even dare to guess the height it must reach and he cannot understand how he is unharmed, much less apparently protected by the strange field of chakra that has come to surround him. Whatever it is, it is the stuff of legends made real, and Tobirama is not certain he is not dreaming it all up.
The low, dark voice that echoes out at his back quickly dispels that notion entirely.
“No matter what, you must not let that creature touch you, brother of Hashirama.”
Tobirama spins around and finds the same yōsei he had met two years earlier hovering behind the skeletal construct, his blood red eyes shining with power and a furious edge flavoring the cloud of chakra that surrounds the spirit like a luminous shroud.
He is wearing the same rich, courtly robes he had the first time they had crossed paths and he looks no different to Tobirama outside of the expression of rage that has settled across his pale features. Gone is the smirking, playful creature he remembers and in his place is a creature of pure wrath.
Tobirama is grateful that he his already kneeling on the ground because he is certain his knobby knees would have given out on him with the wave of pure killing intent that pours off of the spirit.
“W-what is it?” Tobirama has the intelligence to ask, for he realizes quickly enough that the yōsei is the one no doubt responsible for the skeletal barrier that keeps him sheltered from the strange creature’s reach.
“A remnant of a past evil given form and will by old magic,” the yōsei calmly states, not even looking at Tobirama.
Though it is far less important to him in some ways than it had been a few minutes before, Tobirama can feel the few remaining Hagoromo beginning to flee back the way they’d come from and it moves him instinctively into action.
“The Hagoromo–” Tobirama jolts to his feet, only to falter when he realizes he does not know if he can, or should, test the barrier around him even though he knows he has a duty to make certain their lands stay safe.
The yōsei snaps his fingers before two translucent lion dogs with bright red eyes and clouds of blue flames licking beneath their feet appear suddenly at the yōsei’s side, their hulking forms nearly coming up to the spirit’s hips. As a pair they growl, and it is the sound of thunder made physical. Tobirama can feel the hair on the back of his arms raise as if by friction before one of them restlessly throws its head in the direction of the black, slithering creature and bears its deadly looking teeth in a very clear threat.
“I will deal with them,” the spirit promises Tobirama before snapping his fingers again, his red eyes snapping to his two new companions. “Go, render the child’s enemies to dust. I will handle Kaguya’s rot.”
In a flash the lion dogs streak off in a blur of blue flame before the yōsei does the very same.

Decided to share little drabble
Tobirama had known since childhood that his soulmate was shinobi. Of course, he had suspected at first that they were a civilian when his soulmate didn’t seem to get any scars. He did notice later that he had small burn wounds and scars from kunai when you first start to use them. He did find scars from kunai on his thighs too. Hashirama told him one time in the bath that he had a scar on his lower back. They weren’t sure what had caused it but it was proven that Tobirama’s soulmate was shinobi and from another clan. They would know someone from their clan if they had this kind of scar. Tobirama couldn’t help but think what his soulmate was thinking about his scars, he knew he had many of them.
It didn’t change that Tobirama didn’t try to guess or find who his soulmate was. He wanted to believe that his soulmate would see Tobirama as himself but there was a side of him who was afraid it was just wishful thinking. Most people of his clan didn’t like him and found him weird looking. Tobirama wasn’t like Hashirama, he couldn’t just believe in dreams and hope for the best, he had to have proof of things in front of him.
Besides he had much more scars than his soulmate had - All of them didn’t come from missions or territory wars - he didn’t know what his soulmate would think about them. What would he do if his soulmate truly was from enemy clans? As Tobirama grew he got the nickname Demon, a cruel and emotionless weapon who was just leashed by his brother's hands. It didn’t give a good impression of him even though it had been useful against other clans when they were at the war. Nobody wanted to fight against the demon. Tobirama wasn’t sure about Izuna but he thought not. He wondered too if he could kill his soulmate if he knew who that was. It was better for them all that he didn’t know who it was.
Everything changed when Tobirama held his killing strike, sparing Izuna, that didn’t mean he didn’t wound him because that little weasel would have killed Tobirama if he hadn't at least wounded him. Not that Izuna didn’t get his strike on him. He didn’t quite understand why he did it but he just remembered a little Hashirama speaking about peace to him and Itama after Kawarama. They couldn't be so different from them. This was a kind of test and if it went badly Tobirama could say “I told you so.” Not that he wanted to gamble with his clansmen's lives but he had had enough of this war. So he decided to make this gamble, he just hoped he wasn’t as bad at gambling as his older brother.
Tobirama backed away fast from Izuna when he felt ashes-summer-heat closing fast to them. He had moved further away and had got Hashirama to offer peace between clans. Uchiha Madara was more stubborn than that to say yes so Tobirama offered that Hashirama could heal Izuna. He didn’t offer to do it himself because he was pretty sure that his head would go flying if he took even a step closer to Izuna.

TW Character Death
"Where is Hokage?" Tobirama asked the secretary who was behind their own desk.
"They decided to take little walk as they seemed to have trouble to focus on work," Secretary, Yamaka if Tobirama remembered right, said apologetically. Tobirama sighed but his brother had been busy and buried on work lately. Other villages weren't as happy with tale beasts as his brother seemed to have planned. Tobirama himself cursed his brother using that as tactic to make peace with other villages though he could understand why Hashirama wanted to control the situation.
"I will find him and bring him back to here," Tobirama said and turned around to look for his brother. He had a hunch where he would be. Maybe he should tell Mito? No, it was just that his brother was tired and was just avoiding paperwork. He ignored the feeling which wanted him to hurry and find his brother fast, that something wasn't right. Hashirama hadn't been himself after Ma- that Uchiha had attacked village and after that had been that freaking heart stealer freak. What he had been called? Kaku- something but Hashirama had won both fights, so he shouldn't be so worried.
If he had noticed that his brother had some difficulties to focus on meetings and paperwork it just meant he had to check more of his brother's work and do it himself. It wasn't that new. If his brother seemed tired it was just because Mito had been pregrant just a while ago and their child kept them awake and the work in tower kept building. There was the situation with clans too, most of other clans wanted to throw Uchiha's out of the village after Ma- the Calamity. Tobirama did see their point but he was pretty sure this wouldn't be last time something like this happened so it woudl be unfair to whole clan to be cast away just because of one invidual.
Getting closer to place where he thinks his brother was, he could hear Naka River's stream and trees were already surrounding him everywhere. He looked around and stopped to put his hands for one of the trees just to be sure he would find his brother. He felt him, but it was kind of muted. Tobirama didn't know how to explain it but he turned to that way and tried to see his brother somewhere.
His eyes caught familiar red cloth and he hurried closer to see Hokage hat in front of huge tree. It was bigger that others and something in Tobirama ordered him to put his hand on it and check. He had to be sure, because it couldn't be true, his brother hadn't had any symptoms he had read when he heard the first time what mokuton might do for its casters.
He almost choked when he felt familiar sunny, forest kind of chakra shining throught this tree. Tobirama blinked his eyes as his horrendous eyesight seemed to get worse. He could feel tears flowing along his cheeks but he still couldn't understand. What happened? Why? His brother had been FINE just this morning!
What was he gonna tell Mito? The clans? What about the village?
Tobirama hadn't noticed that he had slumped on to his knees and was hyperventilating as he squeezed the familiar hat in his chest. The familiar numb feeling was starting to spread in him, when he realized that he had lost his Anija, his big brother. He did wonder briefly if this was what had drove Madara to madness then he could understand it.

Little snippet I wrote as @marloviandevil put nice dialogue in Naruto discord. Hope you enjoy this 83
Kagami wasn't sure WHY they had started to speak about teachers but it had come up. Though now they were thinking about hypothetical situation about failing a mission.
"Well, I'm pretty sure most teachers would be just happy that we got back alive?" was what Hiruzen said, shrugging his shoulders.
"Oh yeah? You sure Uchiha-sensei would be?" Danzo challenged Hiruzen. Kagami rolled his eyes, only reason Izuna-sama had taken such interest being mean to Danzo was that he always tried to squirm out of blame if he was the culprit.
"Yeah? Like why would he be mad? If you have actually done your best to resolve the mission. It isn't like he is gonna kill you," Torifu said.
"I won't say that he wouldn't punish you making you train more, but like is he wrong to do so? Even Tobirama sensei does that if he finds out you have made stupid mistake being arrogant." Koharu huffed eating one of Torifu's snack which made Torifu cry out.
"I think all Uchiha's would make you train harder if you failed D rank mission, other's would be different thing." Kagami said after thinking about it a little while, "Like Madara-shishou was war general and Izuna-sama was Anbu Commander? They are gonna expect you to do your best."
Danzo glared at him, but it wasn't like Kagami was wrong.
"And if you do fail D rank you would deserve it." Homura said quietly behind Hiruzen.
"I don't want to disappoint shishou! ever! I don't want to see those disappointed eyes! They are so lethal! It is like I had kicked puppy who just wanted food!"
"I would be more worried about his husband. If he ever, EVER found about us failing D rank? It would be hell." Hiruzen said pale. He seemed to remember something what others didn't know about. Danzo scoffed, because of course he would think Sensei wouldn't hurt them. Not that he was wrong, but Kagami had feeling their sensei was using his husband to punish them.
"What about his second husband?" They heard above them. All six of them looked up and screamed when they saw Izuna sama.
"RUN! The Night Shriek is here!" Torifu yelled and was the first one to run away. Koharu was right behind him, so was Homura. Traitors. Kagami, Danzo and Hiruzen had frozen as Izuna smirked them at the tree.
"Boo!" Izuna said as he dropped from tree. Yelling out Kagami got his feet under him, running away hearing evil cackling behind him. Kagami didn't look if Hiruzen and Danzo made it alive. He was NOT getting caught by Izuna-sama when he thought they had failed D rank mission. It was their own fault not running away if they didn't.

This is answer for @writhingbeneathyou ask, which some reason tumblr decided to delete when I tried to change the answer little bit from drafts -_-
"I'm going to pretend you didn't just say that to me."
Smile slowly spread on those pale lips, showing row of sharp teeth, way too sharp to be human and Tobirama couldn't help but gasp for air that was blocked by a hand constricting his throat.
"I do not really care if you do or not," was his breathless answer that seemed to excite this monster even further than his resistant had already.
"Poor, little Senju, all alone in these dark, dangerous woods. What did you think would happen when you stepped into OUR world?" The smile was getting crueler as second passed and Tobirama had to wonder if he had made mistake stepping into woods of Other Wanderers.
I think it became more than five sentences :T but here you go! Thank you giving me this interesting prompt! ❤
The meme is this one
