A pair of signed, stage used jazz shoes from Sara Jean Ford, who played Jellylorum in the Broadway Revival.
It was always my goal to own something from a Jellylorum performer, and these were the shoes I wanted most from the lots sold by BCEFA. They are fairly worn and were put to good use!
As with any of the shoes, the real details in the paintwork can be admired up close, which is something that is not easily done even watching the show in person.
I hope to own more costume pieces from Jellylorum in the future.

Just a note in case somebody doesn't know me but I usually include GIFs and stuff for things like this because I'm extra™ that way. 🤷♀️😉
Also, in alphabetical order because I would never rank my love of my blorbos. Annnnnd I live to ship so you're getting my fav pairings as a bonus. Yes, I included the ships TOTALLY FOR YOU, MY FRENS. No, no, don't thank me, it was my pleasure! 😛

"Dance The Night" fun facts: yes, 00:50 is exactly why I made this, lol! (Though the entire thing ended up being one of the most fun times I've had making a vid! 🥳) Also, most of this wasn't recorded in order to gather vid footage - I was trying out outfit and armor colors to see what they looked like in-game. Hence, the Ryder twins put on a bit of a fashion show here! 😛 Oh, and I was also trying out a new inspired-by-me Sara, which is why she doesn't look like the Sara I've shown previously in my other vid and in GIFs. 😉 Bonus for my Flash friends - if you watch this, see if you spot Scott in his Reverse Flash inspired armor! 💛💖 (The lighting was a little poor in the scene, though, so let me know if you need a timestamp. 😉)
10. The Tenth Doctor x Donna Noble (Doctor Who)
Update, okay, so I decided to come back and do the tagging properly so to absolve my guilt at failing that part, lol!

MIKE: but there's a rumor on a fan page that says [The actors who played Tugger and Skimble in the 2016 bway revival] had some trouble. SARA: [laughing] No. MIKE: Nothing? SARA: [laughing] No. That's hilarious to me. MIKE: Right. So okay. So I'll submit the feedback to the rumor mill. SARA: Well, I mean, there's no rumor mill. That's hilarious. MIKE: There is a cast rumor mill. SARA: Oh, but I'm sure it's like one person said it. MIKE: And- probably! It's just me writing it all at this point.
MIKE: Because that's the rumors Grizabella and Bustopher were friends growing up, and then you were friends with Grizabella. SARA: I was sisters with her- in my world. MIKE: Sisters. Okay. Sisters. SARA: Yeah. MIKE: And then something happened, which is one of the rumors- SARA: Now, what is this rumor from? MIKE: Oh, there's rumors. There's a lot of rumors on that. SARA: But they're not from our particular version is what I'm saying. Every particular cast comes up with their own. MIKE: I would love somebody to tell me any version. SARA: Right. MIKE: Cause I'm trying to break them down and-

Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024 • 9 p.m. EST: Hugh Panaro, Sara Jean Ford & Jeremy Hays (Broadway 2014)
We've been able to see so many recent casts lately, which is amazing, but I'm starting to miss the older stuff! It's been a while! There have been lots of requests for Hugh lately, and understandably so, as his portrayal of the Phantom is iconic. I haven't streamed this boot yet; it's shot from a unique side angle that allows for some amazing shots and closeups.
As always, the stream will be on cy.tube and shy anons are welcome. For more info, please see the Saturday Streams FAQ! Link and password will be posted here at 8:45.

Hi! I'm making Christine's wishing dress cosplay and I was wondering if you might know what kind of fabric I could use if silk is not an opinion. Could strong 100% cotton work, thinking that the bodice needs some boning
As the dress require some yardage, I would probably first and foremost keep the fabric firm, but light. But maybe not quilting-cotton light, as it doesn't always drape well. Think taffeta, silk dupioni, cotton satin, or light brocades. These last couple of years there's been several on Spoonflower etc. who's made versions of the stripy/floral fabric for sale. The option there is usually cotton, and they look gorgeous.
The benefit of using natural fibres like silke, cotton, linen, wool etc. is that they breathe. But if this is out of your budget (as it was for me!) think of lining the bodice, and keep the lining in natural fibres like cotton or linen. It is SO much more comfortable to wear, especially if you will wear the costume for hours out and about rather than "just" a photoshoot.
I think my main thing when being impressed with a replica is if the blue fabric somehow illude stripes and flower ranks, as the original fabric. The general pattern is depicted above.
It doesn't have to be an exact replica of the original fabric, but keeping in mind that the fabric has two main patterns going on, and to play with this in the construction is a cool feature. Maria Bjørnson plays around with the direction of the stripes in her design.
But there's also been stage-worn dresses in the US where they used various floral patterns without stripes, so this is also an option.
One was a type worn by Kathy Voytko in the 1990s, and also re-used by Rachel Zatcoff on Broadwa, as well as Krista Buccellato and Kaitlyn Davis in the Restaged US Tour (where @phantomphashion photographed it). The stripes you see are the velvet trims, the fabric itself is greyish pale blue in two nuances, with black (or navy) floral pattern:
There's also the super-floral one in shades of blue, green and red that was worn by Teri Bibb in the 1990s:
And also the blue-on-blue floral fabric first worn by Patti Cohenour in the original Broadway production, and later by Sara Jean Ford in the US Tour. This was photographed next to a dress made of the original stripy/floral fabric, which is very useful as a reference:
So no, you don't have to buy silk, and you don't have to do stripes and flowers. But think of the drape and weight of the fabric - it should drape well, but also not be to heavy - and think of natural fibres if you will wear it for hours.
Happy hunting and happy sewing!

I know that at least two Jellylorums were also Christines in "Phantom" (Marni Raab and Sara Jean Ford)--would you happen to know who some of the others were?
Are you looking specifically for Jellylorums that were previously Christines, or more like the general Phantom - CATS or CATS - Phantom pipeline? I can give you a decent list of both, since we'd be atom smashing two hyperfixations together.
Format: NAME OF PERFORMER - Role in Phantom (Role in Cats)
Sorted by part played in PotO - I won't be naming all locations of productions these individuals were in for the sake of some kind of brevity. Since you asked mainly for Jellylorums who have been Christine, I have taken the liberty to BOLD them for easy reference.
(Note that this is not an extensive list - just a bulky one - I was already getting too long in the tooth haha)
MAIN TRIO
Sarah Brightman - Christine Daaé (Jemima - OLC)

Seven Cat Calls 2024
Week 6: Jellylorum
Sara Jean Ford Kayli Jamison
(CW: Talk of character death)
Sara Jean Ford!Jellylorum goes with Christopher Gurr!Gus. They can be a tough watch because they bring so much sincerity and weight to the roles in regards to Gus's story. I talked a bit about this in my Gus post too, while Gus is always an elderly character, it's very clear in how they play it that Jellicle Choice or not, Gus is in his last days (in fact I'm pretty sure Christopher Gurr has said he thinks Gus died even right after the Jellicle Ball shown in the play) and they bring so much of that emotion to the scene. Jellylorum's keeping a smile on through Gus's song but her complex emotions are still so clear and she even seems close to tears at times. I adore this way of playing this storyline and it's a top-tier example of the deeper parts of Cats (it is a fun, feel-good musical about singing and dancing cats but it also has serious themes and it's always wonderful to see such sincerity brought to these parts of the story.)
(CW: talk of divorce (no, really))
On a lighter note (for a given definition of lighter) is Kayli Jamison, who is a Jellylorum I saw personally. She was a very sweetheart Jellylorum and deserves a mention because of that and because of her part in the little drama storyline that could be picked up on between Grizabella, Skimbleshanks, and Jennyanydots. This was the cast/run I've semi-jokingly referred to as "Skimbleshanks and Jennyanydots Get a Divorce: the Musical" and Jellylorum's in that story too, as she and Skimble gravitated towards each other a lot and had some very cute moments and I ended up with the perception of Skimbleshanks having growing feelings for her as his relationship with Jennyanydots breaks down for better or worse.

Top 15 Portrayals of Christine Daae (ALW’s Phantom)
As many of you know, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” is an important show to me. As well as being my favorite adaptation of the classic novel, it is perhaps my second favorite musical of all time…and given how many musicals I love, that’s saying a lot. It’s certainly one of the most popular pieces of musical theatre ever created; it’s had numerous tours worldwide, many productions in non-English-speaking countries, has been running for decades straight on the West End in London…and, of course, it currently holds the record for the longest-running Broadway musical in existence, with 35 Years Onstage under its black belt.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. That long-running streak of shows is about to fade away: on April 16th - three days from now - the original run of the Phantom of the Opera will be closing on Broadway. While it is possible the show could return in a revival production, and of course the show itself won’t be disappearing entirely, it is sad that such a long-lasting fixture on the New York stage scene will be coming to an end. In honor of this celebrated musical, I thought it would be good to present a few lists naming some of my favorite actors who have played the key three roles in the show: Christine Daae, our main character; the dashing Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny; and, of course, the Phantom himself, known in the book as Erik. I’ll be naming my Top 15 Favorite Actors to play each part between now and closing day for the Broadway production. There are only two rules in order for performers to count. One, I obviously have to have seen or at least heard their work, and heard it in good quantity; if I’ve only heard or seen a performer do one song, I don’t think it’s fair to give them a heap of credit, because I don’t know what the rest of the performance is like. Two, I won’t be counting JUST Broadway performers: actors from the West End, Las Vegas, Canada, Australia, and many others will be included too, along with cast members from the 2004 movie and the 25th Anniversary production at Royal Albert Hall. HOWEVER, I will be counting ONLY English-speaking performers. Why, you may ask? Well, primarily, it’s because I simply and honestly just haven’t seen or heard that much from non-English versions of the show. The ones I have heard or seen have been great, but the ones who perform in my own native language are the ones I know the best. With all that said, let’s begin with Christine. Christine is a more interesting character than I think a lot of people give her credit for. Her heart, her mind, and her will itself are all put to the ultimate test in this show, as she has to figure out where her loyalties and love truly lie. For her, the events she lives through are equal parts traumatic and exhilarating. It’s not an easy journey, and while Christine never swings a sword or gives great commands, she’s a much stronger and more layered character than many likely realize. The best versions of Christine find solid ways to blend her innocence and her maturity, and all have voices that truly match that of a person whom the Phantom considers “His Angel of Music.” This will be a description-less list, as will be the other two to come: just names and pictures. This is mostly because analyzing some of these actors and performances is honestly really, REALLY hard to do, at least for me. Having said that, I think I’ve prattled here long enough: allow me to present my Top 15 Portrayals of Christine Daae from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera!
15. Jennifer Hope Wills.
14. Kelly Mathieson.
13. Claire Moore.
12. Rebecca Caine.
11. Ana Marina.
10. Emmy Rossum. (Not sure how popular or unpopular this opinion is, but I’m sticking to it.)
9. Lucy St. Louis.
8. Sandra Joseph.
7. Sara Jean Ford.
6. Anna O’Byrne. (I should point out I am NOT counting or considering “Love Never Dies” with these lists. However, when a performer has been in both shows, I do find it interesting.)
5. Katie Hall.
4. Sarah Lawrence.
3. Kristi Holden.
2. Gina Beck.
1. Sierra Boggess.
