It's time to prepare ourselves for Saovine!

From October 1st to November 5th Oxenfurt Archives will host the Witcher Saovine event.

During these 6 weeks, we encourage you all to create all kinds of fanworks, fanfics, artworks, crafts, whatever you can think of, as long as it features characters from the Witcher world or Original Characters from the Continent. And of course, as long as it’s spooky 🧛‍‍♂️

To help you will finding inspiration we prepared these three 5x5 bingo cards full of prompts. The first, red card features classic horror and spooky tropes. The second, green, is all about creatures monster slayers might encounter on their travels. And on the third one, blue, you will find some familiar and not-fully-human faces from the Witcher franchise.

You can get bingo in a regular way, by posting 5 new works inspired by prompts from the same row or column, or you can combine prompts that occupy the same position on all three cards in a single work.

There’s no minimum word count or any other limits, to go wild, have fun and create something scary! And remember to tag your post with #Saovine2021 or #oxenfurt event so we can reblog and showcase them all!

And you can just post here on tumblr for convenience, but if the idea sparked here develop into a whole long fic that’s great! The only real requirement is to either have a) at least one character from the Witcher saga /any media type/, OC included or b) witcherverse setting, and post before 3 Nov, UTC.

Witcher fic: The Graveyard Soliloquy

On moonlit nights much like this one he likes to take a walk down the poplar lined road from his cottage to the old graveyards by the abandoned estate.

In exile in Nilfgaard, Regis walks the graves of the people who were there before and thinks of the friends and companions that he has lost, of the meaning of mortality and why vampires like graveyards.
