Y/n Murphy only knew Daniel Ricciardo because he had friends everywhere. It was only a matter of time before the Irish actress met the famous honey badger. Soon, his friends became her friends and the whole friend group was hanging out everywhere.

One of their hang out spots was the F1 paddock. Daniel insisted for Y/n to come to his favorite race, the Austin Grand Prix. It was no secret that Daniel is secretly a Texan so he wanted his new friend to experience the Texas atmosphere.

“We need to get you some boots and maybe a longhorns jersey. You’ll look so cool, trust me.” Daniel said as him, Heidi and Y/n walked into the AlphaTauri garage.

My Old Ass (2024) Scene from the above mentioned film. The main character's little brother is obsessed with Saoirse Ronan, has begun moving into his older sister's room (who is leaving for college) and is planning on covering every wall with her image. I was struck by this particular scene because I had a friend in High School who did the same thing but the object of his obsession was Winona Ryder. It was a bewildering experience to walk into someone's bedroom for the first time to see every surface adorned with images of an actress excised from various magazines. I immediately thought about the investment of time and energy. And then I imagined spending every day in this room surrounded almost exclusively by Winona Ryder's decontextualized likeness (and probably giving zero thought as to what she might be thinking, feeling, and doing in any of the given pictures). Eventually finding my thoughts coalescing around one question, "Why?" There's a fine line between innocuous fascination and creepy fixation*. It's a weird experience to find yourself trying to determine which side of that line your standing on and how to tell your friend that *slowly pointing at the walls* "This is concerning." *I think the only way one can determine where that line rests and when it's been crossed is the quantity of pictures of said person being displayed. Generously, I would say that more than 12 pictures is too many pictures. This quantity is a provisional baseline and can be adjusted to fit one's own sensibilities.

I'm going to give my opinion of the lesbian movies I've seen so far and I'm going to give them a score from 1 to 5 stars :3 it may contain some spoilers

Bound(1996)

For the year this movie was made, I was actually surprised by the END of it(fuck the obsession with killing the protagonist). I didn’t really have much faith in it by how it stars, but man, I was so surprised, I loved it, be gay do crime. ★★★★☆

Gia(1998)

God, this movie is my new roman empire, I didn’t know about Gia’s story, but the ending of the movie DESTROYED ME. the scene where shes talking with Linda and she says: now we have all the time in the world, I was so moved by it, I loved it. It’s currently one of my favorite movies.★★★★★

Lost and delirious(2001)

ugh shakespearean shit, this movie touches more than one of us when it comes to the experience of liking girls. I liked it but I felt like there was a lot of wasted potential that could’ve made it great, tbh i just wanted Paulie to be happy; the fact the Piper Perabo is in it helps the score too. ★★★☆☆

D.E.B.S.(2004)

lol I think I answer this pretty regularly with a kind of noncommittal 'none except Mark Strong for Stannis' which I stand by, and obvs GRRM's own fancasting of Nicole Kidman for Cers, I think that's pretty pitch perfect.

I liked the idea I've seen around a few times that Joseph Mawle (Benjen in GOT) would make a good Ned - I think he really would, he has the perfect look and I remember him giving a v moving performance in Birdsong (2012) that speaks to Ned's warmer side reserved for his family

Saoirse Ronan: Saoirse Ronan has often played many period pieces, including roles as royalty and queens, so she is familiar on how to play a noble role. She is also around the same age as Emily Rudd as Nami, so the relationship and friendship between Nami and Vivi would still feel close and not too much of a stretch. She is also a very sweet actress, and I could imagine that, with blue hair, she could pull off the role of Vivi very well.

you know how i mentioned that what enraptured me about god’s own country was the motion? the physicality? well imagine if there was a film that had none of that. instead we have repression that involves wearing gorgeous gowns that never get torn off of one another and touching fingers and hands—and then leaving the room and standing in the rain when the Want gets to be too much.

we have staring at back of heads and refusing to talk to one another, intentionally making yourself more alone. we have a plot that bears more than a passing resemblance to portrait of a lady on fire, and considering that film blows this one out of the fucking water, not really a comparison you want to make.

we have one (1) sex scene where our characters breathe heavily into their hands and arch their backs at the wall. where is the MOTION!! where is the CONNECTION!! where is the DROOL!! where is the MUD!!!

For one, thank you, and entirely random tangent, but speaking of Saoirse Ronan, I imagine MC moving to Brooklyn a lot like how Saoirse's character in Brooklyn (2015) moves to Brooklyn. It wasn't inspired by this or by any means an intentional parallel, but my brain does go back to it a lot. That being said, it is set almost two decades before Scapegoated but still!
