What We Do In The Shadows say Nandor and Guillermo couldn’t have possibly had a sexual relationship because of how close they are. That their relationship together and bond is so deeply rooted that it goes beyond the need for anything sexual. (Even though you can be in a romantic relationship and not have to have sex.) Because they’re vampires they see above all of that kind of stuff and just want to feel a connection, like Nandor and Guillermo supposedly has…even though Nadja and Laszlo are madly in love but still have a healthy sex life. But just because they’re vampires, doesn’t mean they can’t be in love!

Look at these two little vampire freaks. They’re in love! They’re vampires! And they still go to pound town! Lestat and Louis obviously don’t have a healthy relationship, but honestly at most parts in WWDITS neither did Nandor and Guillermo. Both relationships probably wouldn’t have the healthiest boundaries and such but the point I am trying to make is that they still love each other. Lestat and Louis have a bond that is far beyond romantic, especially since they have the maker/creation relationship seen in most vampire media going on. But they are still in love.

I personally am asexual, but I still fall in love with my partners, a relationship does not have to be sexual, for it to still be romantic. I am sick and tired of that excuse being used to just not show a couple being visibly queer. Nandor and Guillermo could’ve easily still had a sweet and passionate kiss, and the next episode be about Nadja burning down an office building and Laszlo talking about his beloved witch hat.

Basically, you can’t use the excuse that they’re vampires, they see past romance like that. Oh, they would never have sex so therefore they’re never ever getting together. There is no way the show could still be funny and be a sitcom if we let them be together WHEN THERE IS INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE DOING EXACTLY THAT. OK maybe not the sitcom but you get what I mean.

Even with the example of sitcoms, you can have a slow burn, will they, won’t they, friends to lovers, any of those situations, and it still be a sitcom. Nearly every single sitcom show out there has one because it’s funny and sweet to watch it unfold over the seasons.

ALL OF THESE! Rachel and Ross, Jake and Amy, Jim and Pam, Nick and Jess. They’re all slowburns that happen in a sitcom. All of them. And guess what? They got together, they kissed, and the show went on! It wasn’t awkward or anything, so genuinely I do not understand why they just…wouldn’t let Nandor and Guillermo be together.

the wards santiago and ines

it might seem overbearing for santiago to be moving through the wards with his daughter tucked under his arm, hand tight at her slender shoulder. it's the only way to not lose ines in the crowd, one that can become fights or chaos within a breath. it's busier today than usual, and santiago doesn't like it. he thinks he can smell trouble in the smoggy air. a tension that years of experience tells him can snap unexpectedly.

if he could, ines would be perched on his shoulders. just as she was when she was a child. he still could now, but only this time with more protest from her. 'i got a message to isla that you're up there today. she might come down to see you for lunch or something. whatever it is you do.' he mentions, but his attention is constantly scanning as they walk. he takes ines to the station every day since her acceptance into the ascend program. seeing her off, and collecting her from the same place if he can. if he can't, then it's ruben. 'you two getting along, right?' santiago then asks, now curious as he peers down to nes.

nothing ever seems to bother her. but from what he's seen so far, he's always caught the sound of isla and ines laughing together. taking it as a good sign. 'i'm not really sure the next time she's gonna come down. maybe ask her if you see her. would be good...' to be all together but santiago quickly remembers that the last time, carina was a face present at the table. and now, he's barely said more than three words to her. conversations barely moving on from anything unless they're to do with tobias. 'you know. get some good food. a real party this time.' @rviner

Observing wasn't anything new to Cruz. It seemed to be a trait that he embodied from as young as he could remember being. Perhaps, it was the curse or gift of being the middle child. Perhaps it was entirely taught by the old man he was watching right now, mingling with names the world seemed to know. Sending his older brother appearing at his side, Cruz didn't glance to Santiago and only grinned slightly. "Think we'll still have to drag our asses around being nice to everyone we see when we're seventy?" he gestured to their father, only then giving a look to Santi. "Gotta hand it to him though, I know he doesn't even like that fucker right there." a gentle wave of his hand pointed out a Hollywood star, Miguel effortlessly engaging with them as if they were life long friends. "You're better at that shit than me and Angel." Cruz offered the simple compliment before turning properly to speak to his brother. "Still think they might be here?"
