You know what's so special about Claire? She's been photographed at weddings by us 5+ times. The first time was at one of her best friend's weddings years ago where Claire was a bridesmaid. Since then, we have photographed every other bridesmaids wedding from that group. ⁣ ⁣ Shooting weddings is an honor. It's such a special day and not only is the photographer partly responsible for how it will be remembered but we spend so much time with the couple and the wedding party. ⁣ ⁣ When Claire reached out we knew right away that we wanted to work with her. After all she had been a bridesmaid in 5 weddings that Pura Soul photographed throughout the years and Taylor happened to be her date to the most recent wedding. She had always been a fantastic bridesmaid so it left no doubt that she would be an incredible bride. We were right. Their destination wedding was such a joyous outpouring of love and respect on a coffee plantation overlooking the sea from atop a mountain in Hawaii. Guys, I felt a lot of pain yesterday. I went to the beach to join @plentyofpetals for cliff jumping when all of a sudden I was being thrown across some jagged rocks. I stood up to see blood running down my arms and legs. It was painful and it’s not pretty but I’m totally okay. I grew up near the ocean on the east coast and I consider myself a water baby, I usually feel pretty safe, comfortable and knowledge about the sea and it’s tides. But these California rocky shorelines are something else. I was truly humbled by the strength of the sea. I was also laughed at by two adult Lifeguards reminding me not to take myself too seriously. Kasia was also really sweet and helped me laugh at and forgive myself. You can still watch some details in Insta Stories for the next 12 hours.. @purasoulphoto I hope I’ll forever be a little kid. Always wanting to jump off things and getting scratched up from time to time. Luckily I have Doctor Devin to take care of me. Devin is actually a wilderness first responder and loves this kind of stuff. The most painful part was scrubbing the scrapes clean, ouch!
