10NOV2020: Earlier today, I read this paragraph in the El Paso Times and immediately identified with the location(s) because I was in the exact same location 06-07MAR during my Third Annual First Quarter Odyssey, “Tierra del Fuego, 14JAN - 07APR2020” (COVID19 truncated to 16MAR). Overall, beautiful Bólivía has tremendous altitude, usually requiring no less than 24-hours AMS acclimatization, often more. I intentionally made my re-entry (I had first entered from San Padre de AtacamaCHILE on a 3-day motor tour to Salar de UyuniBÓLIVÍA) into this magnificent country with my first overnight in the great Crystal Hotel, La QuiacaARGENTINA. Then, slowly gimpwalking across the crowded pedestrian bridge and getting plucked out of the huge queue for priority passage, I changed money and continued Gimpwalking into VillazónBOLIVIA to the great Santausa Hostel. For the next four days, I would stay on the ground, traveling by Taxi to great PótosíBÓLIVIÁ (one of the highest communities on Earth, more AMS acclimation), then a day bus to great SucrèBÓLIVIÁ, followed by a torturous night bus to great CochabambaBÓLIVIÁ. 12MAR, Whilst at the amazing HI (I am a life member) Hostal Versalles, I received an urgent phone call to return home ASAP. I immediately began air flights: first to La PázBÓLIVIÁ for two nights (14MAR, cycled the “Death Road”), then LímaPÉRU in the great Holiday Inn-Airport before my final flight on excellent AeroMexico to Cd. Juárez/taxi, then Gimpwalking across puente libre/Cordova Bridge/BOTA a few hours before the border closed. Anyway, throughout all of rural Bóliviá, I saw nothing but colorful endorsement of Señor Morales. Nearly Everybody with whom I explained the antiquated 538-member Electoral College of the USA and my effort to amend the constitution, nodded agreement because former President Morales would be facing a constitutional crisis case as well. VillazónBOLIVIA was a very busy, populated community which would undoubtedly become even more thronging with the arrival of Eva Morales. It was also the first time I fell in love with the local brekkie staple: API. Along with GRAVITY BOLIVIA (and many more incredible features)this is a delicious drink!
