Sheheryar admitting that he and Mahira fight over who to be Asim Raza’s favorite is not the flex he thinks it is. Why are you fighting to be a mediocre man’s favorite?

Well, maybe it’s because Sheru is less-than-mediocre himself. I feel bad for Mahira at times that such a talented woman has to work for crappy directors like Asim Raza due to the limited supply of good DOPs in Pakistan, but my sympathy only goes so far if she’s actually vying to be his fave.

Asim is one of the most laughably bad storytellers I’ve seen in film; sherry isn’t even a has been—he’s a never been. MK is good and all, so I hope she gets the opportunity to work with better people in the future.

Mahira is bigger than most of the industry but also not talented enough to be able to work with the best of the industry, ya know what i'm saying? besides, her relationship with Asim goes way back and it's more familial than professional. Asim's camp is some of the most narcissistic and incestuous bunch so I guess she fits right in there with them alongside Sherry. pretty sure Sherry is still living in the Shakar Wanda glory days and equates Asim's successful songs and tvcs to him being the best director of the industry (god i am embarrassed of how my love for maya/saniyar had me defending that mediocre af PHL) but again..since these particular stars live in their own delusional world so ab inhen kon hi samjhaye. khush rahen apne kharchay pe.

I can’t watch parey but love music videos without getting annoyed. Asim Raza mistreated Maya so badly as the lead female. She didn’t get her own song, and even in the big musical numbers she was overshadowed by a cameo or a feature of an older actress, and of course mahira (whom I have nothing against) got her own song and way more in that movie. Regardless of Maya, Asim is a terrible moviemaker who’s stuck in a dated aesthetic and his movies make no sense. I haven’t seen him do anything besides commercials in the last 5 years and let’s hope it stays that way. Dude loses the plot for anything longer than 45 seconds.

HARD AGREEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! Asim played Maya so dirty. like even in a movie like Teefa which was headlined by Ali "bass main hi asli attraction" Zafar gave Maya an equal treatment where she got her action, drama, romance moments. Anya was a very rounded character and was never relegated to being just the love interest. WHICH IS WHAT ASIM DID!!! the movie was a wish fulfilment fantasy for him and his favs. the big dance numbers..the big dramatic moments..the big story was all given to his favs. while Maya was left to play a shallowly written character who was part of the crowd in a movie that was supposed to be HER love story. God this movie annoys me so much. everything was "saniyar saniyar" until the movie happened where Sania was just...there. i am SO GLAD she's done with Asim's camp now. that place didn't give her anything worthwhile.

یہ امر قابل ذکر ہے کہ دونوں فنکاروں نے فلم’پرے ہٹ لو‘ میں بھی کام کیا ہے جس کی پرموشن بھی جلد ہی شروع ہونے والی ہے۔
