Meet the Saniwa!

Absent-minded and laid-back, which her swords find endearing and frustrating in equal measure. No matter how diligently Kasen washes and presses her yukata, it always looks rumpled and wrinkly, which drives him nuts. It feels like she's always behind on filing reports to the Government and responding to official communications, but she's surprisingly diligent about her duties within the citadel, putting a lot of thought into formations and assignments and always mindful of her swords' wellbeing.

It seems she used to work for the Time Government in some other capacity, helping maintain and improve the technology that citadels use. At some point her spiritual aptitude was discovered and she was transferred to train as a saniwa. She still has a penchant for DIY problem-solving rather than going through proper channels for tech support, which drives her Konnosuke a little crazy.

She's not human, but she is mortal - not a spirit or youkai. It's a matter of some casual debate around the citadel whether she's a cat or a fox. (The purring that can sometimes be heard when she's curled up at the kotatsu indicates the former, but Kogitsunemaru and Nakigitsune's fox are staunch advocates of the latter theory.)

Her attendant is often Tsurumaru, though not always (currently, it's Suishinshi).

I was watching Touken Ranbu today and was reminded of how much I love Mikazuki. I remembered that you too like(d?) him, and also know Touken Ranbu, so I was wondering if you have a Saniwasona?

I used to have a saniwa (her design is here), but I gave her away since I wasn’t feeling as connected with her, and she is no longer under my ownership.

I do plan on prooobably making a new one though! Either I’ll make a completely new one or make a saniwa ver. of Letitia. I’m still kind of debating on that. No matter what though, her starter sword is always gonna be Yamanbagiri Kunihiro because I love my dirty blanket boy.
