A few months have passed and our son has grown surprisingly quickly. He couldn't speak at all yet, but he was already very agile on all fours and was encouraged to get into trouble by Sanise. Ykril and I decided that we were going to raise him bilingually, which would also benefit Ykril, as he could learn Drow too and I wouldn't always have to struggle with the common language spoken on the surface.

I'm bored and have some time to waste so. Storytime!

1. I was about five, my two front teeth badly needed to fall out but they were clinging on for dear life. Like I vividly remember that they were loose enough that I could flip them UPSIDE DOWN so they were laying against my gums. They were really only attached by the roots. One day, I was hanging out with my uncle and my sister in the garden by the bamboo patch, and my uncle found a bit of fallen bamboo. He picked it up and turned around to carry it away, and SMACK. Right in the face. It hurt but I realised something felt different- my teeth had fallen out! I was extremely excited and ran inside to look in the mirror. Not a good idea. I saw all the blood in my mouth and I cried.

2. I have a cat named Sunset Origami. Also two chickens who have full names, but they only ever get called by their first names so they don't count

3. I was a home birth, and I was born super quick. The midwife had another birth to be at a while away, so when she saw everything was going well she told them to call her if there was a problem or when she was nearing birth time, since she was still early in her labour (& my nana was there to help so my mum felt comfortable without the midwife there). Anyway all of a sudden things started happening, they called the midwife and oh whoops there's the baby! The midwife did not have time to arrive lmao. The only race I ever won.

4. Self explanatory. When my mum was pregnant my dad was reading through this book series and picked out my name from there. I'm not sure what he would have done if I was born male because he was very sure about the name, but luckily I was not.

5. My monstera, Charlie! I was reading this fanfic where the characters had a houseplant named Charlie, and thus, he got his name. I love him. I don't have a favourite houseplant bc I'm a good plant parent but if I did he would be my favourite (shhh don't tell the others)

6. Also pretty self explanatory. I loved ducks. 'Duck' was my first written word. I would spend hours just lying in the grass pretending to be a duck on a nest. I once asked for an egg and for some reason my nana gave it to me. I sat on it. It cracked. There was egg on the floor. What did she think was going to happen.

7. This one is self explanatory too except this time there's not much to elaborate on. I'm a high school dropout. I don't regret it

8. Oh I love this story. Let me clarify, I did not ride in the ambulance. I did not go to the hospital. I phrased it like that intentionally to make it sound more extreme, for fun. The real story is a bit pathetic. We had just arrived at a concert, I was running to catch up with my family, and WHAM I tripped over the guy rope on the food stall tent. Badly. Gashed my knee open. Hurt like hell. Some woman came over and put hand sanitiser on my knee? Hurt even worse. Oh my god. Do not put hand saniser in an open wound. It stung so much I nearly passed out. After several minutes of lying on the ground with my family wondering wtf to do the medic found us and took us to the on-site ambulance. By now my adrenalin had kicked in full force and I thought this was hilarious. I'd never been in an ambulance before, and now my first time was because I tripped over and gashed my knee open. I kept taking selfies in the ambulance and giggling. The medic patched up my knee, gave me antibiotics, and I spent the rest of the night dancing. I think after that the wound got slightly infected? But like I said the guy gave us stuff for it so it did heal up just fine. Except then a couple months later I got another infection in the same spot so I guess it wasn't completely fine. Anyway my knee is fine now and I have a hilarious story to tell for the rest of my life. I had to go in an ambulance because I tripped and fell. Incredible.
