Well, now I guess I'm trying to figure out how to take over the whole Blades continent.

I was trying to dramatically threaten Undermount (because I'm playing general release and they're currently being idiots) while talking to someone and instead of saying, "I could have every throne filled by a party member by the end of the month," I accidentally said, "I could have all my party members on thrones by the end of the month."

Unfortunately, the person I was talking to is extremely pedantic and now I have a responsibility to try and make it make sense.

My thoughts are below, but I would love to hear other people's thoughts!

So here's my pitch:

-There are only so many thrones, people are going to need to double up. Ruling together does not necessarily mean there's anything romantic going on (though there could be). -I'm ignoring any possible romances or party members who very emphatically do not want to rule. Sorry people, that's the game. -I'm keeping the current political boundaries; saying, "MC just takes over the known world," feels like cheating.

Ash Empire:

Valax- She's already on there and doesn't need any help to hold it. This one is the easiest!

Flotilla:

Imtura- Yes, we did just go through all the effort to dismantle their monarchy and she doesn't want to be queen. But in this scenario where I'm forcing it, she's got the best shot! Given how much world saving Imtura is doing, I think she could recentralize the government if she wanted.

Mal- I think he has the right energy for the Flotilla. He's not a pure strength guy, but he and Imtura work well together and he's charming as hell. I also think he's got that rogue cunning that could really keep the orcs on their toes.

Morella:

Aerin- Look, this one's gonna be a hard sell, even though I think he would genuinely be good at ruling. Major points for being a Valleros, major points off for the very public treason. Which is why he needs help to keep this throne from:

MC- Especially if they're a human. But even if you're not, Morella is the most diverse of the kingdoms and MC is the most famous/ popular one in the party. MC has the biggest advantage and honestly, I think Aerin needs the most help.

Undermount:

Tyril- Obviously, son of House Starfury. Very passionate about Undermount even if they're being dumbasses.

Nia- She's human, but very devoted to Light, which makes her best suited to identify with Undermount. She also has a more nuanced understanding of Light and Shadow that could really help them get their act together.

Whimsywood:

Willow- Not really a throne, but a gimme, so we might as well.

Zaradun:

Cherta- I felt too bad putting a non-dwarf on the throne, especially given their history. So Cherta is it! If nothing else, she would love getting her hands on all the Elder's secrets.

Kade- He's incredibly responsible in a way that I think Cherta would need. She seems like too much of a free spirit to be in charge of anything for too long by herself. He's also open minded and a frequent visitor to Zaradun who could help them open up to outsiders again.

Because I can't look at this reference image and not think that such a move has some silliness behind it.

This was. so much fun to draw. I might come back and work on it more later, but for now, I had a ton of fun with this, and I think I should draw characters dancing more often.

Also, the reference image I used gives me so much joy, just look at them. <3

Also also, as seems to happen whenever I draw characters being shippy, I listened to "Angel of Wishes" by Sanave a lot while drawing this.

But anyway, here they are! The dorks! I love them. :>

I've been thinking a lot about Cherta and Aerin, who have a lot more in common than I expected.

They're both:

Academics who participate in adventures by necessity.

People who ask you to give them incredibly powerful magically artifacts.

...Because of their family situations.

...Leading to your party getting their asses kicked once said artifact is put into use.

Allies who selectively withhold information so you help them.

Temporary party members who owe me an actual apology!

(I don't think I missed an 'I'm sorry' from either of them? But I'm paranoid now that I know I missed an apology from Valax, which only appears if you romance her.)
