Surprise update to 2DS Modding Tomfoolery log 1, the patcher I used, UniPatcher, didn't patch PMD - EOS correctly, and every time I complete the boss fight against Drowzee, the game, infuriatingly, crashes when I think it tries to load the Giratina or Darkrai sprites or the background when the cutscene where Darkrai comes to bargain with Giratina, no matter if I load it on real hardware or MelonDS Android. All I have for the ROM patching side is a Samsung Galaxy S10, and I don't think there's any good ROM patching software on Android. I really NEED help here!

Over the years, we've seen the controversial TouchWiz evolve into Grace and become simply Samsung UX. One UI is the latest ira. We are familiar with it; from Pie updates to the S9/Not9, the S10s were the first phones to ship it. Its round buttons and menus, single-handed use mind, and colorful icons distinguish it. You have an Always-on display. However, with One UI, it can be set to not-so always-on. It can be kept on, as you already know. They are the same clock faces as those on the S9. You can assign any app to the lock screen with the standard camera and dialer shortcuts. The notification cards, introduced with Nougat and still available on all droids, have been removed from One UI in their default state. Instead, you get just the icons grouped beside a clock. Double-tapping them brings down the notification shade, where the familiar cards are. You can change to the classic view by going into settings. USER INTERFACE If fingerprint unlocks have been enabled, you will also see the fingerprint reader icon. Face Unlock will turn on, and the camera's outline will light up to indicate it is looking for your mug. The Iris recognition feature is gone. There's no space for an IR emitter or an additional camera. Although the setup process can be slow and requires many more taps, it is generally reasonable. It should theorem better recognition later. Samsung promised a software upgrade to improve the fingerprint reader's performance significantly. Some users reported that the update had already arrived. A secure folder keeps your files, memos, and apps safe from prying eyes. The game launcher organizes all your games and ensures your sessions are uninterrupted. You cannot disable Bixby altogether. We appreciate the changes. SAMSUNG GALAXY S10 PERFORMANCE Samsung's new S10 lineup features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset or Samsung's Exynos 9920 chipset, depending on which market. Exynos is a common sight in our area, as is our S10 unit. The 8nm chip's CPU has a 2+2+4 arrangement. It includes two large Mongoose cores running at 2.7 GHz and two Cortex A75 cores at 2.4 GHz. Four Cortex A55 cores running at 1.9 GHz for more demanding applications. Mali-G76MP12 is the GPU. The S10+ can only be purchased with 8GB or 12GB RAM. However, the S10+ comes with 8GB. CAMERA Samsung added a telephoto module to the back of the Galaxy S10, allowing for a versatile and complete triple setup. Ultra wide-angle cameras have a view field of 123 degrees. This translates into a focal length of 12mm in 35mm film terms. It's extensive, to put it bluntly. It has an aperture of f/2.2, and the focus is fixed. There's no autofocus. The 16MP sensor is behind the lens, and the Samsung Galaxy S10 produces 16MP images as it should. Two cameras were left over from the Note9 and S9+. The primary module has a 12MP sensor with 1.4um pixels with dual phase detect autofocus. The front has a dual aperture lens that can switch between f/1.5 for darker situations and f/2.4 to improve sharpness in bright light. It has a focal length of 26mm on a full-frame camera with a 77-degree field. Stabilization is available. Samsung Galaxy S10 only has the primary 10MP selfie camera. Although the primary cam is listed as 10MP, it's not true. It does capture 10MP stills at a 4x3 aspect of 3648x2736px, but images would be 3968x2232px if you switched to a 16x9 aspect. The sensor can capture images of at least 3968x2736px, which would be 10.85MP. The long side of the sensor is 3968px, which is sufficient for 4K video (3840x2160px), but 3648px is not. VIDEO The Samsung Galaxy S10 video camera is competent and offers 2160p video at 60fps or 30fps, HDR10+ capture, and 960fps slow-motion recording at 720p. There's also 1080p at 30fps or 60fps. The H.264 codec captures 4K@60fps videos at 72Mbps bitrate. The 4K@30fps – 48Mbps, 1080p@60fps – 28Mbps, and 1080p@30fps – 14Mbps. These numbers can be lowered by H.265, which is also available. HDR10+ footage can be viewed in H.265 with a bitrate of 54Mbps. Stereo audio at 256Kbps bitrate is used for the audio. SOUND The stereo speaker system on the Samsung Galaxy S10 comprises the main loudspeaker at the bottom and the earpiece. Earpieces are usually located on the front. Landscape mode assigns each speaker the channel it is assigned to, while portrait uses the same channel. The dedicated bottom speaker is louder, and there is no way around it. Surprisingly, the Samsung Galaxy S10 produced more decibels than the S10+. The only effect of headphones is a slight increase in stereo crosstalk. Both cases had a solid sound, with loudness well above the average. Everyone else should be happy with both. SAMSUNG GALAXY S10 BATTERY The Samsung Galaxy S10's 3,400mAh battery is a significant 700mAh improvement over the Plus. This is still a significant amount. In WiFi, web browsing tests took 10 hours, and video playback took only a few minutes less than the S10+. Each figure was approximately 2 hours shorter than the S10+. The S10 could not reach the Plus's 24-hour voice calling result, ending at 21:19h. The average Endurance rating is 79 hours, 91h for the S10+. The S10 scores are comparable to those of the other phones: almost identical web browsing life expectancy and a 15-20% advantage in video playback. Samsung's Adaptive fast charger is used to recharge the battery after it has been fully charged. This charger has been in use since the Galaxy S5 was introduced. Its rating is 9V/1.67A or 5V/2A, so it can only produce 15W. The good news is that things don't look so bad after all. A 30-minute charge from your flat will bring you to 48%, while a full charge will take 1:31h.

The Galaxy S10 can be charged wirelessly and supports Samsung's Fast Wireless Charging 2.0. This is Qi-based. Although we didn't have a similar charger, the 9W Samsung Fast Chargers gave us results of around 20% for 30 minutes and 3-4 hours for total charges. The Samsung Galaxy S10 can be charged wirelessly and can charge other devices as well. This feature is called Wireless PowerShare. The toggle allows you to turn it on in the quick toggles. If there is no charge, it will shut off. The best part is that your Samsung Galaxy S10 can charge with a cable while charging a second device wirelessly. This is a great way to charge two devices simultaneously while traveling light with only one adaptor and cable. OUR OPINION As a replacement for S9, the Samsung Galaxy S10 is a great choice. Two more cameras at the back and one on the front seem enough. It's not as definitive if you are coming from the S9+. The PlLasthad b, the Plusetter battery life, and t lack an ultra-wide cam. The Samsung Galaxy S10 is the phone we had hoped it would be. We have been working hard for years to refine the phone to the point where significant changes are impossible. However, it is an incremental upgrade that's more important and easy to recommend. Overall The Samsung S10 Price in Bangladesh is good enough.

Good evening everyone, hope you’re all alive and well. This post is meant to be an update to what I can and will put on the blog and since I love writing so much and always have so many things to say, I thought I should at least give you a proper update.

My daily driver phone

As you all know I use a Redmi Note 10 Pro and I really enjoy using android in general, but lately the phone has given me endless problems and I don't think I can keep up anymore. Why is that?

For starters, my phone was already giving out last year with the MIUI 13 update. When I updated it last year I already began facing problems that quite disturbed my daily routine both in my personal and professional life. For example, the keyboard stopped working and I had to reboot the phone everytime this problem occured. A real kick in the nuts, but I managed to pull through.

Then, I had to wipe the data off the phone completely because for some reason one day when I was off to work my phone stopped working altoghether. Furthermore, when I rebooted my phone it got stuck in a boot loop so I couldn't ever contact my colleagues at work nor tell them I arrived on site.

And finally, the same thing happened again but I managed to mitigate the disruption in a very, very ungodly manner and this happened just today. Luckily I could use my phone to call my mom and whoever was to be called today, but that was when I put my phone in safe mode.

Now that you know about all the phone's history, what does all of it lead to?

Decisions are to be made, and as of right now I'm looking forward into buying a new phone, more specifically the iPhone 11. I know, there are newer models but I just need a phone that works and that will work long-term, and I know damn well the iPhone is the perfect fit.

I also am considering other phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S22 which is in the same price range but I don't want another android phone because having lived with android phones for a lifetime I must say everyone is too quirky and all have their skeletons in the closet. For instance, Samsung tends to be really pushy with their ads, Xiaomi has beefy hardware paired with unoptimized software and so on.

But to be fair, Samsung is the only android phone I could ever trust again because from the Galaxy S10 onwards I have seen only improvements over improvements.

The criteria that is currently leading me to choose a phone is all listed below:

it is powerful enough to produce content on social media such as Instagram, tiktok, twitter and perhaps even facebook.

it has a good enough battery to last me a full day of work (i usually work shifts but you get what I mean, in case you didn't let me put it this way: it gets me through the day without a charger).

it has good enough cameras to take really good pictures and videos.

it has enough storage to store whatsapp, telegram, instagram and other chats.

it can call without having to pray for it to work.

I am not a man with a lot of demands but I sure need the basics covered. A compelling argument would be to be able to use 5G, but as it stands right now I don't even need 5G. I'm quite content on being able to access the internet without a computer. 5G is quite gimmicky and it doesn't work everywhere.

The next best thing I'm about to tell you is...

The next best thing I'm about to tell you is I'm actually giving it all I've got in the things that require all of my focus. I won't disclose what, since it is all personal to me, but just know that my conscience is telling me that I am indeed doing a good job.

One thing I can tell you is that I'm losing weight and my ex colleague showered me with compliments today because he saw that I shed some fat and now I'm slimmer. It's also thanks to my job that I am able to keep up with the weight loss.

What else can I tell you? This is already a long post, but this is a blog after all, so since you're reading this I might as well spill out every ounce of news I can.

Now, with all of this going on will I ever get the much coveted new computer?

To be quite honest with you, the computer became less of a priority for me right now because since my computer is still up and running and I'm not relying on it much as of right now, I can manage using this old laptop of mine. I have no qualms using an old computer as long as it is a working computer with Windows 10. This used to have Windows 11 but it proved to be too much for this 11 year old machine, so I downgraded.

The computer is to be bought when the funds and the circumstances are met. As of writing I don't really see a need for a computer, nor am I considering the idea of it because I'm always away from home and I do a lot of computer stuff on this old laptop that I personally repaired and saved from obsolescence. As for many other things I'm using a 9th gen iPad and it proves to be more than enough.

Dulcis in fundo, I have learned that I should nice things to not buy them twice.

Honestly I don't remember from which Youtuber I got this quote from but he's absolutely right. My old Samsung Galaxy s10 is still going so strong after almost 6 years and is used by my mom for many, many things.

The settings system. Settings in general are sparse. Deciding defaults for yourself is mostly prevented by Apple’s micromanagement of how their users are supposed to use their phones. It’s frustratingly useless.

Call quality. You’d think that should be the least of a user’s worries today. The amount of botched calls I’ve had during three months dwarfs my past ten years of Android smartphone experience.

Wifi tethering. Essentially random disconnects all the time. The quick settings screen is not configurable, so it takes one more click to set up than it needs to.

The Lightning port. I’ve just managed to make the switch to USB type C completely. Now, granted, I mostly load my phones wirelessly, but Apple’s resistance to standards is just laughable at this point. The quality of their cables (which probably sell for some 500% profit margin) is much worse than their phone product itself.

The keyboard. Other keyboards are installable, but they’re pressed to conform with how Apple thinks keyboards should work. Gboard doesn’t even have a setting to activate long press for symbols.

But in the end, it cannot be said in any less certain terms: Apple’s phone product is just plain bad. Not “for the price”. Not “in certain ways”. Just overall. It is frustrating to use, even more so than a Windows machine, which, I think, says quite a lot. I’m not too hot on any phone manufacturer, to be honest. But Apple is the only one that’s managed to replace “stoic indifference” with “outright hatred” in my heart. And I know there’s a fan base there that will likely stick to Apple whatever they do. But I simply can’t imagine this will hold up forever. At some point, people will have to move away from this failed product, and with that, hopefully companies as well. There are better status signifiers to lug around. The day can’t come soon enough.

Like the company's previous devices, the 7T is a phone that showcases much of the best smartphone tech introduced in 2019 at a $600 price—more than $100 cheaper than many top rivals from Samsung, LG, and other manufacturers. What I’ve come to appreciate more is how it uses all that latest tech to enhance my life, often by getting out of my way. Its touch interface is simple and looks just like the brand new Google Android 10 OS it runs on, only a little easier to navigate. I’ve had trouble with Samsung's on-screen sensors in the Galaxy S10 and Note10, but the optical fingerprint reader in the 7T does the trick in a way that’s more convenient than the fingerprint sensors on the back of many phones like the Google Pixel 3A.

The phone's frame is metal, and the back is covered in shimmering Gorilla Glass because ... well ... trends. It’s silly that the back is made of glass at all, given that we probably drop our phones more than anything besides our keys, and there's no big advantage to the glass here since the 7T doesn’t have wireless charging. But the “glacier blue” color certainly is sleek, and the frosted texture repels fingerprints better than some phones. OnePlus thankfully includes a clear case in the box. I suggest you slip it on.

When it comes to smartphones, you ain’t cool unless you have three rear cameras these days, and OnePlus always wants to be cool. Like the 7 Pro, it has a 48-megapixel standard rear shooter that outputs extra sharp 12-megapixel images, a 16-megapixel sensor beneath an ultrawide lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto. This lets you take shots that you can both zoom out a bit, and zoom in to 2X. There’s also a portrait mode, which adds a bokeh effect, the shallow depth-of-field trick that keeps the subject in focus but blurs the background in a close-up photo.

I had a great time shooting plenty of outdoor shots around Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the past week, and I've even enjoyed the extra stability of the Super Stable video mode, which uses the wide angle lens to better stabilize 1080p video; 4K 30 fps video is also available. Everything looks good, especially shots in the Nightscape mode. Like the new iPhone 11 and the latest Pixel phones, the 7T enhances night shots, adding more light, color and detail to areas that would have just appeared as black splotches on older phones. Night shots require a steady hand and a second or two wait, but they are a definite improvement.

In some of the above shots, you can see some examples of Nightscape mode and Super Macro mode. If you press the flower icon in the upper left side of the camera app, you can move in closer to small objects and still see them stay in focus. The effect isn’t perfect, but I was able to get closer to some plants and ants than I ever have before using a smartphone. It’s a blast to play around with modes like these, and they solidify the OnePlus 7T as a phone for shutterbugs.

OnePlus isn’t tampering with the formula that got it to the dance, and that’s good. The 7T is one of the most powerful phones you can buy, and it costs hundreds less than its peers. It also runs on all four major US carriers, and T-Mobile sells it directly.

I've recommended the Pixel 3A ($400) as the best phone to buy for a few months now, and given the performance it offers for the price, for many of you it still is the best phone. But if you are willing to spend an extra $200, the OnePlus 7T will give you a taste of the luxuries you’d otherwise miss out on.

Motorola

The new Moto Razr.

It's Moto Razr day today. The phone stopped by the FCC earlier in the day, and after sending out an event invite for November 13, Motorola just barely made it in time, with an official announcement at 11pm ET. The rumors were true: the Moto Razr is a reboot of one of the most iconic flip phones of all time, updated for 2019. Instead of a tiny screen and a physical keypad on the inside, you get a giant folding OLED display that puts the new Moto Razr in the same category as other futuristic foldables like the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X. The price is also in the same stratosphere as those super-expensive devices: the new Razr is $1,500. It's also a Verizon exclusive in the US. The hinge design of the Moto Razr is probably the most interesting thing about it. The best Samsung can currently do in the foldables space is the Galaxy Fold, which, thanks to folding the display nearly completely flat, develops a permanent crease in the display after the first fold. Motorola's display doesn't fold completely flat, though—there is a large void space around the display hinge, so when the phone folds in half, the display has room to move around. Since it's not being sandwiched between two solid plates, the display collapses into a gentle curve instead of a hard crease. Imagine bending a piece of paper in half just by pinching the top and bottom together versus pressing the fold into a crease. Motorola described how a hinge like this could work in a 2018 patent. Instead of having the hinge mechanism behind the display, like on the Galaxy Fold, Motorola has the hinge on the left and right side of the display, giving the display room to sink into the phone body and bend into a gentle curve. For support Motorola says the hinge "includes moveable support plates that rigidly support the display when the phone is open, but collapse out of the way when the phone is closed." These two design elements allow the phone to have a "zero gap" hinge while also not smashing the display into a crease. Since the display only ever forms a loop, rather than a crease, it never gains a distracting, light-distorting crease down the middle the way the Galaxy Fold does. This design should be easier on the display as well, since it causes less stress to the pixels around the bendy part. We've already seen (pre-release) Galaxy Fold displays die along the display crease, thanks to all the stress. A 2018 Motorola patent showing the display inside a folded phone. There's room for the display inside the phone because the hinge mechanism (502 and 506) lives on the left and right side of the display, rather than behind it. Motorola's official shot of the closed display. It's a loop! As it opens, the display supports swing into place. All flattened out. You can see how that translates to a real design here. The hinge mechanism is next to—not behind—the display, so it sticks out from the phone body a bit. The back of the phone also looks very simple, since it's an empty shell holding the display. The display of the new Razr also looks pretty special. The top and bottom edges of the 6.2-inch, 2142x876 display curve into an arch, which is a perfect throwback to the interior of the old Razr design. The notch at the top houses not just the camera but the earpiece, too. The FCC basically posted a full teardown of the device, and seeing the display outside of the Razr body is really something. Where did Motorola source a display like this for its foldable smartphone? Samsung is the leader in foldable displays, but after having spent six years and $130 million dollars to develop the technology, Samsung seems to want to keep the technology to itself. Early release info pegged China's up-and-coming OLED display manufacturer BOE as the supplier, which also supplies the displays for the Huawei Mate X. Motorola also might be dual-sourcing the displays from TCL, the same company that makes zombie phones branded as "Palm" and "Blackberry." Just like the old-school Razr, there's also a secondary display on the front: a 2.7-inch 800x600 panel. Also just like the old Razr, it seems this is primarily for checking notifications. You can see your incoming messages, control music, take selfies, and even use the Google Assistant, all without opening the phone. The UI for this seems totally new. Instead of showing something like a tiny Android notification panel, you get a full screen UI for each action, and apparently you can swipe between them. It's unclear if this is a new Android feature, or a Motorola Razr feature. The Moto Razr was popular as a fashion phone, thanks to the ultra-thin profile and good looks. It's hard to tell just from looking at pictures, but is that same appeal still present in this device? The pictures and dimensions make it clear this is a super-sized version of the original Razr. The most popular model of the old Razr, the V3, measured 98mm x 53mm and 13.9mm thick. The new Razr is listed at 172mm × 72mm × 14mm. So the new Razr's namesake thinness is near-identical to the old Razr, but a lot wider and taller. These numbers reduce both devices to simplified rectangles based on their widest sections, but in terms of overall volume, the new Razr is 138% bigger—yes, over double the volume—of the old Razr. Our expectations for "thin" have definitely changed since 2004, too. iPhone thinness peaked with the iPhone 6, at 6.9mm, and the thinnest Android phone ever is the Vivo X5 Max, which slimmed down to a ridiculous 4.75mm (and it still had a headphone jack!). That 14mm thickness on the new Razr is ever-present thanks to the chin at the bottom, and since the Razr unfolds, that puts each unfolded section of the phone at around 7mm. A standard smartphone is around 7.8mm thick nowadays, so the Razr's thinness is nothing special. When open, it's about the thickness of a smartphone. When closed, it's about the thickness of two smartphones stacked on top of each other. The FCC's Moto Razr photos. Even on third-party images, this phone has no display crease. Be sure to zoom in! Here's the display out in the open. It's a pretty crazy design, with arched top and bottom edges plus a notch at the top. The motherboard! Here you can make out the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC at the heart of the device. The other side of the motherboard is nearly blank. Here's one of the two batteries in the device, a scant 1245mAh. As for the width and height, I don't think you can call the Razr a compact phone anymore, either. Width is what makes a smartphone feel small in your hands, but at 72mm wide, the Razr is firmly a "medium" size smartphone, sitting between the width of a Galaxy S10 (70mm) and S10+ (74mm). The width also works against the phone's positioning as an update to the old Razr: the proportions compared to the old phone are all wrong, and this "Razr" is a shorter, wider distortion of the original. At 172mm tall while open, the Razr is the tallest phone on the market, dwarfing even monster devices like the Galaxy Note 10+ and OnePlus 7T Pro (both ~162mm). So what are you looking for from a foldable smartphone? The standard answer with devices like the Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X has been "a phone that opens up into a tablet," but that clearly isn't the goal of the Moto Razr. This also isn't a return to some kind of compact form factor, given that the device is more than twice the size of the old Razr. The new Razr is more like "a smartphone that folds in half." The standard smartphone design puts a tall, thin rectangle in your pocket; Motorola is arguing it's better to pocket a thicker square shape instead. As far as running Android on this device goes, the display's arched top and bottom edges and a notch at the top mean there is a lot of unusable space for apps. Android apps need to be presented with a rectangle by default, so those arches at the top and bottom need to be squared off by the system software. There also needs to be room for the navigation buttons and status icons, which also need to be in a straight line. The result is a lot of space at the top and bottom of the phone that is dedicated to system-level Android UI. The new Razr only runs Android 9, by the way, not the newer Android 10. As for the specs, the Razr has a mid-range—not flagship—SoC: the Snapdragon 710. This features eight Kryo 360 CPU cores, with two high-performance cores running at 2.2Ghz, and six lower-power cores running at 1.7GHz. This is a 10nm SoC that's over a year old now, putting it a generation behind the 7nm flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 855. It seems like we're now making budgetary compromises in a $1,500 smartphone. The Galaxy Fold has a Snapdragon 855, but that costs $2,000. The base model has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.The battery is split between the top and bottom sections, with the two parts combining for 2510mAh of power. Tech reviewers have spent the past few weeks dogging Google for the tiny 2,800mAh battery in the Pixel 4, and to see a new smartphone announced with an even bigger display and a smaller battery than the maligned Pixel 4 is a cause for concern. Retro Razr mode. Finally, if the retro hardware design isn't enough for you, how about a retro software mode? The Verge detailed a fun "Retro Razr" mode that emulates a T9 keypad at the bottom of the display and puts the old-school Razr dumbphone UI up top. The old UI actually works. You navigate with the virtual D-Pad, and it can be used as a home-screen launcher of sorts, allowing you to do things like launch the modern Android messaging app when you tap "enter" on the old-school messaging icon. Worldwide, the new Razr will be available in "markets across Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia." In the US, the new Razr is exclusive to Verizon and launches January 9, 2020, with pre orders starting December 26. Yes the day after Christmas. Apologies to Santa Claus.
