Ythosham, the first Grave Witch (and her current appearance)

She was once a fearsome villain, was killed by her own minion, some time has passed, then has returned via a living plush doll that was a memento made by her only real friend, the Puppet Witch.

She no longer possesses the power of her former self since her creation Samomile has usurped all of it. At least she's unbound from the morbid compulsion which made her dominate others, and now she is interested in how the world has been going without her presence and how it is going to be.

Ironically, the Puppet Witch believes that this living doll is only imitating Ythosham because it is modeled after Ythosham. Regardless, Ythosham seems just happy to be with her best friend once again, gladly working as an unofficial mascot of the music shop the Puppet Witch runs

So it has come to my attention that the delightful artist Zerozeroling1 has released more Samomile and Cattawin plushies and last time I wasn't sure how much interest there would be so I didn't promote it

but I accidentally induced a lot of jealousy among my friends group, soooo this time I'm helping out with a promo tip + buying guide (and offer to do group order if you're still confused and we're friendly).

These are the Samomile and Cattawin plush available for adoption this time. Unfortunately the keychains aren't being offered again. This was shared in the promo deck for size comparison of how big your new friends are.

They come as a pair and are listed for 168RMB (approximately $25USD) and are 35 cm tall and 23cm wide (from arm to arm).

They'll come with a green and yellow scarf, as well as some other bonus goodies.

Pre-sale period: September 22nd - September 30th. No refunds will be accepted. Shipping will take place approximately 45 days after the end of pre-sale. (last time the items arrived at the warehouse about two months after I paid for the items).

My guess on shipping estimate: For China warehouse to US, it cost me the lower end shipping option of $20 for the two plush under 1lb. Please expect shipping for these two larger items to cost anywhere between $40-60USD to your location after processing.

I'm not the artist so if you miss the pre-order period, unfortunately you're out of luck.

The way Mile’s love language seems to be quality time and gift giving (or maybe acts of service? Considering the whole KP production? Sorta similar) and Apo’s love language is physical touch and words of affirmation (calling him handsome every possible opportunity, pointing out his smile). Different but understanding is key to communication and strengthening the bond, for any type of relationship.

Sugar daddy Mile is a verified love language ya’ll 😉

😭 OK so I actually do have formal training in psychology and statistics so I actually looked into this again and apparently there is now a cache of research around psychometric reliability of the love languages theory? What??? This actually caught me off guard. The paper is interesting and cites other published research so give it a read.

I will say, the research suggests via factor analysis (which examines the number of naturally occurring underlying categories that explain the data rather than an attempt to force the data into categories) is that "gift giving" and "acts of service" can likely be combined. In my personal experience (not that heuristics is psychometricly valid but) this is how I perceive the two categories as well, thinking about my own personal perspective on how I view giving gifts.

I think the one thing that confuses people about the love languages when it that it asks the survey respondent what their love language is, the question is centered around what makes them feel cherished, not how they prefer to express their affection.

So based on your assessment, the reverse is true. Apo in particular prefers acts of service/receiving gifts, and Mile enjoys words of praise (like the good samomile doggo he is...) I think they both value quality time as well, since that is something they both are in demand of. And they are both very touchy with each other. It's particiularly noticeable since Mile doesn't seem particularly inclined to initiate touch with other people. But we do see Mile praise Apo (who was blushy too) and Apo doing acts of service for Mile too (bringing medicine to him when he had COVID as exposed by Tong...buying him cherries, etc.)

I mean, it's difficult to assess because in a [romantic] relationship, I think a good partnership covers all four (five) areas, and we don't know them personally. We only know what we can see publicly.

But In the beginning you do see them clash and Mile very visibly adjusts his behavior to what makes Apo happy. I think another anon described it as more "rough" in the way guys often show affection for each other...( ironically Apo loves rough housing Jeff and some of the other cast mates and doesn't seem particularly bothered when it's returned from them so... hm. ) Mile's better at hiding their emotions, but Apo did reveal that Pond noticed them clashing and helped them work on their relationship and talk over where they're clashing. You know. As always, use your own judgement
