I strongly think that there must be an actual reason that led to Sami ’dropping’ Enni. Not necessarily like a drama or a disagreement or anything like that, but there has to be a reason. I’m not saying this from either one’s side, actually I don’t even know myself how I feel about this. But there is always a big possibility that media hasn’t been told everything!

Just thinking because him dropping her just because he can doesn’t sound right to me, there must be something else (again, not necessarily a drama).

I have kinda poor communication skills so this is not meant to provoke an argument lol, just thought I’d write what I’ve been thinking

I haven’t posted much about rally this year even though I still follow it but I’m mostly trying to pretend that rally Japan didn’t happen and most importantly… what the actual fuck happened with pajari and Mälkönen?! They win the wrc2 title and the same day is announced he no longer wants to work with her?!?!?!?!!!

wrc thoughts

i gotta start with the elephant in the room which is that i haven't really been blogging about rally that much this year because i'm still mad about the new points system and it has fully drained my interest in wrc as a series. the system is fucking ass and when rally wins aren't appreciated the way they should be how are people meant to give a shit about the championship? i don't know. i hope fia is happy about it because what they've done is alienated people. only singular rallies matter to me now. everything else is pointless circus.

and then to the thing that everyone is talking about, the sami pajari enni mälkönen situation... and how tumblr is blind to nuance. i think we can all be upset that sami is dropping enni as his co-driver while understanding that this is not out of character for sami nor does it undermine the efforts sami has done for female codrivers in the past few years.

sami pajari has changed codrivers after every major victory in his career, this is how he operates. he's been with enni for three years and he's hit the next milestone, this is what he does. we love enni and we hope all the best for her and it would be really fucking nice to have a full time female co-driver at the top of rallying, of course it would, but i fear people are being reactionary about it right now. we don't know what's coming.

i won't be engaging in any discourse about it until all lineups are confirmed for wrc 2025. i wish other people didn't either but whatever i guess. everyone has their reasons and if they're not stated to the media, you don't actually get to know about them.

tl;dr i guess is everyone who's mad at sami for dropping enni "for no reason" fails to understand sami not giving the media a reason =/= there was no reason
