“Insecure When I’m Dancing” is now out on Spotify! Give it a like, save it, follow my page, add it to a playlist, share it, share it, share it. I’m very proud of this song. I’ve been working on it for a year now. It tells a narrative of being at a dance or party where you just feel uncomfortable and scared to step outside your comfort zone. It serves as a bigger metaphor for being afraid of things that are fun. It’s a bit hard opening up about my fears and insecurities but that’s what this whole second album is going to represent. It’s about standing up and saying, “I can be confident and I can do this.” I’ve tortured my friends with this song for over a year in the piano rooms, playing it over and over until it was sorted out into the way you hear it on the track. Thank you to Sierra (@joyfulspence) for not getting annoyed and always saying you couldn’t wait for it to be released so you could learn the words to the wordless melody that has been engrained in your brain. Thank you to anyone who has pushed me out onto the dance floor and helped me have a good time. You’re helping me get past my fears. Now I know I’m gonna get roasted, but thank you to my friends who literally got me to dance to Lizzo last night. It was adorable and I was glad to be apart of it.
