My thing is if you're friend with people who you can't rib a lil over stupid shit they say or even more importantly, address/confront ignorant to harmful rhetoric that they come out with without them guilt tripping YOU for having principles than it's not a friendship worth cultivating imo. And same goes for them if you're a person who can't handle being checked maturely. People have told me I'm pretty cold for cutting ties with people who I've know for years like its nothing but it's like idk when someone shows you who they are, they really do feel like dead weight to me lol

hey no worries man. it’s a fair question (and thank you for not using the full ship name, that’s very considerate) 

i am a serial multishipper, which you’re probably aware of if you’ve looked at exactly one(1) page of my blog. mh has always been on my radar, from the veryvery beginning, and it still is, trust me. i just find that the longer i stay in this fandom, the more i crave i specific TYPE of mh, if that makes sense. 

makoto and haru have been best friends since they were babs. they’ve grown up together, rely heavily on each other for companionship, and have a level of understanding that a lot of people find unattainable or confusing. it’s an indisputable fact that they’re compatible, so it makes sense that they’d go well together in a romantic context, right? weeell. 

the more ive developed an appreciation for them as individual characters, the more i want to encourage them to let that ‘telepathic’ bond mellow out a little. frankly, i dont think it’s super healthy to have a relationship so intensely established around familiarity that it can’t handle change. 

in order for me to go out of my way to ship mh at this point, i need to be assured that the two of them have gotten the opportunity to take a step away from each other, get a world view outside of their relationship, and THEN fall back together. i can’t take them seriously if they stay the same, forever and ever. i just don’t think it’s good for them. 

sousuke and rin are a good example of what im talking about. they were the best of friends growing up, but were physically and emotionally separated for a good period of time afterward. it wasn’t the best of circumstances by any means, but it did give them both the opportunity to be individuals, not just a unit. when they met again in their third year, they had a new appreciation for each other, a fresh perspective, and they STILL were best friends through it all. that’s the sort of thing i want to see mh experience before going into a romantic relationship. 

long story short: yes, i still ship mh, but it’s more fragile than others ships for me. yes, i will most likely draw them again :)

P: Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas). 

Honestly, havent they all been done before? So i feel like inventing one would be hard.

RvB Strip Club AU. Okay hear me out: Two Strip Clubs, on different ends of the same street. The reds and Blues work in different positions there. Church and Sarge are managers, Tucker is a way too flirty barkeep, Wash is assisting with management. Caboose is there to massage the dancers so they dont strain too much and stuff. Kai is the new hire. She is supposed to be a barkeep but keeps finding her way onto the stage, not to the amusement of Wash. Carolina is the chief of security.

Donut is the barkeeper of the Reds and he keeps making healthy organic drinks. Grif is doing the same thing Caboose does. Hes really good at massaging. Lopez is a dance robot Sarge got to one up the blues on the robot market. It isnt working very well. Simmons is assistent manager and tries to make Sarges weird marketing plans (like Lopez) work somehow. Locus is their security guy.

There also is some Strip Club chain that owns both of them but neither of them know and the people at Peoples Fun Lounge (yeah my creativity is really running out here) or PFL for short just dont care enough. Theres also Vic who works for PFL and makes it a point to send Churchs ex Girlfriend Tex when its time for inspections.

I have no idea how strip clubs work, never been to one, but this sounded fun and I bet someone could make it work. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Q: A ship you’ve abandoned and why. 

So i had already written up a paragraph that nothing came to mind but actually, Renora. Reason is that after being told that someone likes them more in a platonic sibling like relationship I thought about that and turned out to agree strongly and now its kinda weird. Idk. I cant think about it romantically anymore, personally.

Z: What’s a ship that you want to ship publicly, but everyone on tumblr hates it so you keep your mouth shut about it? 

Hmmmmmm. So i do keep my mouth shut about bu/mble/by because I know some of my mutuals really dont like it, or rather the people that ship it (which is fair, the fandom is obnoxious about it, especially to writers, which lots of my mutuals/friends are). But then again, engaging with lots of content for that ship would drastically increase the chance of getting involved with those obnoxious people and so Im not really mad? I follow one or two blogs who mainly reblog fanart and I keep my reblogging of that to a minimum so that works for me.
