I'm here today to present to you with a new sapphic couple to simp over and !!! GOOD NEWS !!! it's already renewed to a second season!!!!!!! keep reading to know what the show is about and where to watch it. This show is called "As Five" (We are Five) is a brazilian series that follows the life of 5 girls in their early twenties (25 years old). We see them dealing with love, heartbreak, work and doing lots and lots of dumb shit bc yes they are just like us .

This show is a spin off of a soap opera Malhação: Viva a diferença translated to "young hearts: embrace diversity" (that won an EMMY!) but u don't need to watch the soap opera to enjoy the show! Only thing you need to know is that they met when they were 16 while one of them was giving birth on the subway.

Heloísa Gutierrez (Lica) played by: Manoela Aliperti

She is explosive, ironic and very arrogant. She is full of ideas and desires, which often make her seem spoiled. Lica already dropped out of three colleges, she tried many personal projects, but never finished anything. She is also completely lost in her love life since she broke up with Samantha.

Samantha Lambertini played by: Giovanna Grigio

Lica's ex-girlfriend. She works for an online newspaper and has just edited a storybook. She is focused and knows very well what she wants from life, unlike Lica. 

LIMANTHA :

In Malhação : Viva a diferença, they were school friends (they even shared boyfriends although lica was comphet) until one they at a party they were playing with a date app and they matched, then they started developing feelings for each other.

It was the first teenager sapphic couple on brazilian tv and everybody was shocked bc the soap opera used to air at 6pm (also they had the biggest number of kisses at a soap opera compared to any lgbt couple on br tv).

They begin ‘As Five’ broken up but they start to get closer again (we don't know why they broke up but apparently it was bc Lica didn't know how to be an adult). Also it's not confirmed yet but everybody reads Lica as a lesbian and Samantha as bisexual.

Acabou a novela e eu reparei que precisava de fazer um texto sobre

Eu nem sei por em palavras o quanto essa malhação significou, e nem é forçação de barra. Quantas vezes repetimos ou ouvimos, “Malhação do cabeção e da vagabanda que era boa...”. E era mesmo, mas faltava algo nela e só essa malhação trouxe o que faltava, uma palavrinha que pra muitos não tem tanta graça ou não tem tanta força, ela se chama ‘representatividade’. Foram tantos os temas que entraram nessa palavrinha que eu teria que fazer uma planilha no excel pra caber tudo.  Sabe o que me toca? que uma novela ‘teen’ que passa as 18:00 da tarde, num dos  maiores canais do Brasil fez tudo isso sem medo das críticas.  Sabe o que mais? que esses assuntos abordados pra alguns são cotidianos, seja o racismo, seja o bullying, a homofobia, a depressão, a gravidez na adolescência e entre tantos outros, isso tudo não foi em vão, mais pessoas poderão olhar para tudo que essa novela mostrou e pensar “Se elas fizeram e passaram por tudo aquilo porque eu não conseguiria?”, e isso não tem preço.  Eu como menina lésbica, que me descobri não tem nem muito tempo, me vi ali (mesmo que tenha sérios problemas ainda de diferenças de tratamento em relação aos casais hétero e homo, eu não sou tão boba assim). Quando soube que teria um casal homossexual com duas meninas bissexuais, surtei, vibrei, torci (inclusive pra não morrerem ou mudarem de país como todos os casais LGBT’s em séries e afins, vulgo 3x07 né The100), diria até que me tornei uma chata. Mas a sensação de ter algo que realmente te faz sentir bem e até mesmo ensinando algo para os que n��o entendem, num horário que segundo alguns é só pra passar “coisas leves” é algo que não se mede em palavras. Eu to feliz mesmo. E depois desse texto de alívio sobre meus sentimentos em relação a essa maravilhosidade chamada Malhação Viva a Diferença (olha como o próprio nome diz tudo). Meu mais sincero obrigada!  E meu obrigada a Manoela e Giovanna que interpretaram com tanto carinho Lica e Samantha (Limantha <3) que me fizeram sentir amada e sim, representada.
