In Another Life

- Pairing: Severus Snape x Original Female Character (Angelica Delacour)

- Information: Angelica is Fleur and Gabrielle’s older sister

- Warning: Major character death

It's been a few months since the Battle of Hogwarts, and because of the event, Angelica Delacour has lost her husband forever. To her, it seems to be years already since the battle, but in truth it's only been around 4 months. Angelica is only a 25 years old young lady and has only been married for 2 years, and she is already a widow.

Angelica still remembered the time when she told him that she is pregnant, he is so happy that he is going to be a father. Even though it was the middle of the war, it was a dangerous time, the couple still wanted to have kids. After Severus was killed by Voldemort's snake Nagini, her whole life changed. She will never be the same again, as her heart is already broken into pieces because of his death.

No matter how her parents and her sisters talked to her to move on and live with her parents again, she never listened. Angelica knows very well that it is difficult to live on her own when she is pregnant, but she doesn't want to leave the house that she and Severus had bought before the two married, as the house has everything that reminds her of Severus, someone she sorely missed. She didn't go and checked the baby's gender, as she remembered Severus has said that he wants it to be a surprise.

Angelica tried to recall the times that she has been with Serverus, the little moments they have after the two are married.

- Two months before the Battle of Hogwarts -

It's been a few days since she is sick, Severus is worried about her health. She has basically been vomiting for days and it still happens like every day. Severus soon cannot take it anymore and wants to take her to the hospital wing, and soon realise they cannot do that as Poppy and the others will not helped her, as they all thought Severus is a murderer. As Severus really wants to know what happened to Angelica, he takes her to a Muggle hospital to have a body check, to see what is happening to his wife, but of course he casted a glamour on the them both before they go there, so the Death Eaters or the Dark Lord won't find out.

As they had arrived at the Muggle Hospital, they faked their names as Tobi and Francesca Prince. They waited for 30 minutes before her name was called.

"Mrs Francesca Prince?" The nurse asked. Severus and Angelica immediately stood up and followed the nurse to the room. "Dr Samantha Blake is ready for you. Right this way Mr and Mrs Prince." the nurse said.

"Now we are here." the nurse said as she opened the door to room 3, "Come in," Dr Samantha Blake said.

Angelica slid into the white room with Severus gracefully, the two seemed to be nervous then and yet the doctor smiled at them and did the check ups, soon the result was here.

"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Prince, you two are going to be parents." Dr Samantha Blake said.

Severus and Angelica are in shock, but they are so happy about that, the doctor even put some gel on Angelica's tummy, telling her it is for the ultrasound.

"See here is the baby." Dr Blake said as she looked at the ultrasound, "here is the baby's head, and here are the baby's toes."

Severus and Angelica smiled at the ultrasound, this has shown how their baby looks like, "I want the gender to be a surprise, until our baby is born." Severus said softly while still looking at the ultrasound.

Angelica's heart ached as she remembered that bittersweet moment at the Muggle hospital. The news of their impending parenthood had filled her with joy and hope, even amidst the dark times of war. Severus had been overjoyed, his eyes shining with a mix of happiness and worry for his wife's well-being.

As the days turned into months, Angelica's grief over Severus's death mingled with her anticipation for their unborn child. She often found solace in the memories they had created together, cherishing every precious moment they had shared as a couple. The thought of raising their child alone was daunting, but she knew she had to summon the strength within her.

Angelica had chosen to stay in the house they had made a home, surrounded by familiar objects that carried the essence of Severus's presence. Each corner of the house held a cherished memory, and it provided her with some comfort in her solitude. After what seemed like both an eternity and a fleeting moment, the cries of a newborn filled the room. Angelica's heart swelled with love as she laid eyes on her beautiful baby girl. The healer gently placed the tiny bundle in her arms, and she marvelled at the miracle before her.

"It's a girl," the healer announced, and a mixture of joy and sorrow washed over Angelica. She had longed for Severus to witness this moment, but she also knew that a part of him would always live on in their daughter.

Her baby girl had dark tufts of hair and a pair of curious eyes that seemed to carry a hint of wisdom. Angelica couldn't help but see traces of Severus in those eyes. She smiled through her tears, knowing that her daughter would grow up knowing the love and sacrifice of her father through the stories she would tell her.

Angelica named her daughter Callista Seraphina Delacour-Prince, a name that held both strength and hope. Callista would know her father's legacy, and though she would never meet Severus, the love between father and daughter would bridge the gap between their worlds.

As days turned into weeks, Angelica settled into motherhood with the help of her family. She embraced the challenges and joys that came with raising a child on her own, cherishing every milestone and precious moment. The house once filled with memories of Severus was now filled with the laughter and coos of their daughter, a reminder that love could transcend even the deepest of sorrows.

She spoke of Severus often, sharing stories of his bravery, intelligence, and, above all, his love for them both. In her heart, she knew that their love had not ended with his passing—it had only taken on a different form, one that would forever guide and protect them.

Time moved forward, and as Callista's first birthday approached, Angelica decided to visit Severus's grave. It was the first time she had mustered the strength to do so since his funeral. With Callista in her arms, she stood before the tombstone, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Severus, my love," she whispered, "look at the wonderful daughter we've brought into this world. She's so much like you. I wish you could see her, hold her, and feel her love. But know that you are always with us, in every breath we take and in every beat of our hearts."

As the wind rustled through the trees, Angelica felt a sense of peace enveloping her. The pain of loss was still there, but it was accompanied by a profound sense of gratitude for the time she had shared with Severus and the gift of their daughter.

In the years that followed, Angelica continued to nurture Callista's curiosity and courage. She watched her grow into a kind and intelligent young girl, a reflection of the man who had loved them both so fiercely.

And so, the Delacour-Prince family, with love as their guiding light, continued to forge ahead, honouring Severus's memory with every step they took. They knew that while the Battle of Hogwarts had taken him from their sight, it could never extinguish the love and legacy he had left behind.

Melody’s Movie Reviews #2: Little Women (1994)

I watched the 1994 version of Little Women and I was fascinated! I’ve made it a tradition to watch this classic movie every Christmas season!

First up, what I didn’t like:

To be honest, I would have to say that I didn’t like how the Experiments, Burdens, and Camp Laurence chapters were cut. But everything else was perfect!

What I liked: Everything about this movie was perfect (except for a few cuts chapters)!

The acting was phenomenal! Everyone did a great job making the characters come to life!

Susan Sarandon has to be the best version of Marmee in the history of Little Women adaptations! Nobody can come close to her performance except for Emily Watson!

Winona Ryder is phenomenal as Jo March! To me, she fully embodied book Jo's character, and the only person who could've come close to her was Maya Hawke (along with Katherine Hepburn)!

Trini Alvarado delivers a stellar performance as Meg! I would have to rank her before Willa Fitzgerald and Emma Watson's versions!

Claire Danes steals the show as Beth March and I always get heartbroken over her death! Annes Elwy comes a close second!

Little Kirsten Dunst is so cute as younger Amy & her interactions with the older girls were so entertaining to watch! I wanted to squeeze her cheeks every time I saw her on screen (sorry, but she's so darn cute!) So far she's the only version of little Amy that I actually like (Elise Jones from the 2018 version is a good one).

Samantha Mathis wasn't the best version of older Amy. They never gave her enough scenes to work with.

Christian Bale is amazing as Laurie, and that's all I have to say on the matter! And did I mention that he's just as adorable as he was in Newsies?

Gabriel Byrne has to be the best version of Fritz by far, and I loved seeing his interactions with Jo! I believe that they belong together (sorry Jo x Laurie fans).

The costumes were phenomenal and historically accurate! They were like something straight out of an 1860s painting/photograph (sorry to the fans of the 2019 movie!).

I love how they had it start from their childhood to adult years. It helped with the storyline flowing and we got to see all four March girls grow up (again, sorry to those who like the 2019 version)!

And best of all, the soundtrack goes so hard. I actually use it for my studying music! Thomas Newman did such a great job!

Go watch the '94 version of Little Women if you haven't! You won't regret it! Love you guys!

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month Pt. 2: Latina Seymour Dreamcasts!

I noted in my Hispanic Heritage Month post that, as far as we know, there’s yet to be any Latina actors who have debuted as Seymour. @lightleckrereins and I have talked about that a few times on and off and thrown around some ideas for who we might want to see. We were holding out hope for Cassie to be the first, but of course that didn’t happen. However, that means I’ve had a mental list* of actors who could be the first debuting Latino/a/e/x Seymour for a while now, and in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month I thought I’d post some of them! This is nowhere near comprehensive even just in terms of who I’d like to see, but it's a handful who I'd particularly like to see. A few others are coming up in some other dreamcasts I’ve been working on too.

For some of these I have specific alt covers noted that I’d like to them as, for others I don’t which usually means just Seymour in general. Most of these actors could also play/cover other roles, but since the focus of this post is just on Seymour I didn’t want to get too heavily into all of my individual dreamcasts for each!

She becomes friends with Amit Thakkar, Samantha Dale, Zenobia Noke, Arthur Plummly, Lucan Brattleby, Garreth Weasley and Sebastian Sallow. She also starts dating Ominis Gaunt at some point. She's a good student. Her favorite subjects are Herbology and Potions. She has a hard time during Care of Magical Creatures.

As MC, she wouldn't turn in Sebastian, but she would end up keeping the Final Repository of Ancient Magic containted.

Blake Delgado-Stilinski:

He's half-blood and got sorted into Slytherin. He's friends with Anne and Sebastian Sallow, Ominis Gaunt, Natsai Onai, Nellie Oggspire and Samantha Dale. He dated Imelda Reyes and Amit Thakkar. But he ended up with Sebastian. He's very ambitious and excellent student. His favorite subject is Defense Against the Dark Arts. He has difficulties with Potions. He'd also be part of the Slytherin's Qudditch team. He'd play as a beater and later on a captain.

As MC, he wouldn't turn in Sebastian, but he would keep the Final Repository of Ancient Magic contained.

Gabrielle Tate:

She's a muggle-born and a Hufflepuff. She's friends with Poppy Sweeting, Arthur Plummly and Natsai Onai. Her boyfriend is Amit Thakkar. She's an excellent and gifted witch. Her favorite subjects are Astronomy and Care of Magical Creatures. She has difficulties in Charms and Flying classes.

As MC, she would turn in Sebastian and would keep the Final Repository of Ancient Magic contained.

Yvette Castro:

She's a half-blood and a Gryffindor. She was a student in Hogwarts only since year five. She quickly became friends with Natsai Onai, Nellie Oggspire, Poppy Sweeting, Lenora Everleigh, Charlotte Morrison, Imelda Reyes and Sebastian Sallow. She started dating Garreth Weasley at the end of their year six. She was an average but talented in sports witch. She loves Flying and Transfiguration classes. But she dislikes History of Magic. She played Quidditch as a chaser and was a captain of Gryffindor team.

As MC, she wouldn't turn in Sebastian and she'd open the Final Repository of Ancient Magic.

Azalea Argent:

She's a pureblood and she got sorted into a Hufflepuff. She's friends with Samantha Dale, Lenora Everleigh and Natsai Onai. She hasn't dated anyone during or after her years in Hogwarts. She was a good, but quiet student. Her favorite subject is Transfiguration and Astronomy. She's terrible in Herbology, but suprisingly good at flying.

As MC, she wouldn't turn in Sebastian and she'd keep the Final Repository of Ancient Magic contained.

Kathresse Storm:

She's a pureblood and a Gryffindor. She's friends with Anne and Sebastian Sallow, Ominis Gaunt, Nellie Oggspire, Lenora Everleigh and Poppy Sweeting. She's dating Garreth Weasley. She's a very mischievous but brilliant witch. Her favorite subjects are Transfiguration and potions. She trully hates Herbology and History of Magic. She plays a seeker for the Gryffindor Quidditch Team, a very good seeker.
