Fun fact, @osrictumbles is actually the reason I still cosplay so I extra specially love him! At my first con I did a cosplay and was super self conscious about it, so decided I wasn’t going to do anymore. However Osric (y’know the spn cosplay king) stopped in the corridor to tell me he loved the cosplay & of course my little heart back then just knew I’d never be able to stop making dresses! However I always chicken out of thanking him for this story, so I'll just leave it here instead! 😅

A list of things I’m convinced Raphael must have walked in on their father doing when he was posing as the prophet, Chuck Shurley:

-ordering porn

-Trying and failing to chat someone up at a bar

-laying in a pool of his own sick after drinking himself into a stupor the night before

-giving up halfway through a bread-making phase and eating the uncooked dough in his underwear

-Struggling to remember how to spell Samandriel’s name for one of his books

-Cackling evilly at some misfortune he plotted out for Sam or Dean Winchester

-Cackling evilly as he plotted out a short story about Michael getting a canker sore (oral hygiene isn’t even usually a THING for angels)

-Cosplaying as John Winchester

-Sweating as fans recognized him on the street and started to grill him about the moral alignment of his characters 

-Licking the leftover cheese off a plate of nachos

. . .And Raphael is not one to complain, but it should be known that Chuck wasn’t wearing pants for most of these activities.

(Saving up for more stuff! You will not believe how hard it is to find a Sam Pop figure.)

18. Ever been to a Supernatural Convention: Sadly no…But maybe one day!

19. Ever dressed up as a character from the show: I have unintentionally low keyed cosplayed Gabriel and Mary (S12) without realizing it. But I sure as hell intentionally did it for Sam and Dean a few times. Especially in October of all things!

20. Favorite Monster from the show: I will have to say…Wendigo. Even though it was in one episode, I find the folklore around most of the monsters on the show to be really interesting!

21. Ever felt like you might be the first five minutes of an episode of Supernatural: Yes, so many fucking times!

From 204lbs to 150lbs in two years! I wish I decided to take a 'before' photo, but this photo of my Samandriel cosplay was the closest I could find to a full-body shot of me in Jan 2017 (It was taken in April 2017 I believe?? At which point I had already lost about 10lbs). I put it on again just now (ignore the face, I've been ill) for comparison's sake and it's honestly a surreal experience. The trousers are just falling off and I'm swimming in the shirt. I guess I can't wear this cosplay anymore 😂Oh god what other cosplays do I need to retire now.....

As someone that doesn't watch supernatural how should you describe everyone?!

Okay I’ll describe the ones I write for because there are SO MANY CHARACTERS THAT I DON’T WRITE FOR THAT OTHER PEOPLE DO. My opinions on characters may differ from other people.

Dean: Cocky, sarcastic, he would die for anyone he loves. He will do what it takes to save someone he loves. Oh, kill some other person? Bye! Not a kid though, he’d find another way. He is reckless, a risk-taker. He’s not so great on boundaries when he talks. So he’ll apologize if he realizes that he’s said something too offensive or too blunt. Boy loves pie. Squirrel irl

Sam: He is strong okay? Like not just muscle strong, but emotionally strong and has a strong will too. He is more of a lover than a fighter. He’s also more of a negotiator it seems (between Dean and Sam that is). Sam’s been through hell, so he’s SYMPATHETIC AS HELL. He’ll open up much easier than Dean will. Likes to eat leaves. Moose irl.

Castiel: Castiel can be a bit confused at times. He’s been on Earth a long time now, but there are some things he may not understand. He’s more of a “I’ll smite you if you hurt my friends”. He’s a soldier so we have to remember that. Castiel has a big heart

Gabriel: MY SWEET BABE-RIEL. He’s so goofy and funny. Loves to joke around and have fun. Hello prank wars called, they want their archangel back. He’s so sweet and protective and loving. UGH I LOVE HIM.

Lucifer: Short tempered. Sarcastic. He can be demeaning AS FUCK when he wants to be. He can go from flirtatious to intimidating in seconds. He uses lots of body language too. Can be sweet, but he’s certainly not the lovey dovey type (even though I bend that rule like a fucking rubber ruler. Sue me.) He wants someone to accept him and understand him. IF you can do that, he’ll love the fuck out of you.

Crowley: PROPER AF. Witty, sarcastic, flirty. Sexual innuendos FOR DAYS. Short tempered. He often stands up straight with his hands in his pockets. He likes to insult people, even if he loves you. It’s like his way of showing you that he loves you.

Charlie: Very… !!!!! Nerdy. Energetic. She can be nervous or blunt depending on the situation. She’s not afraid to say what’s on her mind, especially if it’s a girl. Graphic-tees, Cosplay, you know it! Many, MANY, comic references and other movies like Harry Potter or Doctor Who (I’m pretty sure that girl would watch Doctor Who and love it)

Prophet!chuck: Nervous. Unsure of himself. Soft spoken. Sweet sweet cinnamon roll. Smiles and blushes a lot. Probably stammers a bit when he talks. Very vulnerable when emotional.

God!Chuck: More confident. More sure of himself. A little more cocky. An occasional smirk, but smiles more often. (I’M SO RUSTY WITH CHUCK)

Samandriel: He’s not around for long (rip my heart). He’s innocent as hell. Very mission oriented. Speaks more like an angel than a human. No “I’m”‘ it’s “I am”. Very inexperienced when it comes to human interaction. (*everything I based Samandriel on, was advice given to me by a close friend)

Balthazar: F A N C Y. Wine drinker. Huge slut. “Minage a- what is the french word for twelve?” (it’s douze okay??!) Flirts all the time. Does not like humans, but LOVES THE WOMEN. So I guess it’s just the dudes. Loyal AS FUCK. Trustworthy. Funny (to me anyway). Arrogant. He’s the wildcard okay???

My best friend was obsessed and she spent two years trying to get me into the show, when I finally gave in I couldn't stop watching

Sam - he’s devoted, sincere, sassy, not afraid to speak his mind, smart, strong and loving.

Castiel - innocent, kind, hilariously cute but scary, wise, calm, and will do anything for the people he loves.

I’ve made three versions of Samandriel’s little head torture device so far

(Left to right: felt, craft foam, wood)

Technically the wood one is functional?? I mean, I didn’t make the needles sharp or anything, but it attaches to a head and allows you to concisely mark points of a skull (and it’s signed by Mark Sheppard haaaaa)

I’m not sure at which point I was supposed to have admitted that I have a problem but that ship has definitely sailed.
