Currently Playing: stardew valley, dragon age origins, and dragon age inquisition all have playthroughs in progress at the same time lmao been more focused on sdv because i wanted to try the beach map but im also really eager to try ALL the origins in dao

He gets the hang of it halfway through the season, finally going to do things on his own instead of following you

forest farm my beloved

i got lost in the sauce and started thinking about stardew valley damibeck

either its a full stardew valley au or its a modern au and they play stardew valley co-op with each other. either way they moved to the farm together they are both the new farmers

damien goes about it like a normal stardew valley player, farming and taking care of the farm, engaging with the townspeople and working to restore the town hall, he gets up and works with the plants, and when they have livestock, he does the rounds with them as well. he focuses on farming, foraging, and dabbles in combat and mining.

linebeck hangs around and waters plants the first few days, but once he gets the fishing pole he is gone. fishing. every day. he’ll water plants and check on pet water bowls in the morning and then he’s gone either until late in the day or when he passes out. once he gets access to them, he sets several crab pots up all around town and checks on them every other day.

linebeck checks out the mine first because he got curious while checking out the lake, and then dragged damien over the next day to protect him. usually they go spelunking together, damien primarily protecting linebeck while they look for geodes and ore, but as they get used to it linebeck starts getting comfortable going in alone. or he just hangs out on the fishing floors.

damien doesn’t really use fertilizers or anything, since he doesn’t mind having more time to check on the plants (and eventually takes the agriculturalist skill), and cares the most about farm buildings and their placements; he more or less is allowed to do whatever the hell with the layout of the farm. when they buy buildings or upgrade the house, damien gathers the needed materials and linebeck raises the money needed.

on a typical day, damien spends time working on the farm before traveling around for forgeable plants and talking to and doing errands for the townspeople, while linebeck has geodes open before heading to whatever fishing spot he’s decided on for the day. damien does most of the town hall stuff, but linebeck provides all of the fish and cooked food.

linebeck does most of the cooking while damien is fine with just eating foraged plants or fresh crops. they always go to the skull cave together. damien is happy to go to every town event, and linebeck tags alone because he wants him to. damien is too impatient for fishing, and linebeck hates manual labor too much to do much farming, but some days they take breaks to help each other out with their daily activities.

in the winter, damien takes extra care of the livestock and spends a little extra time down in the mines and in town, but overall has a bit more free time, so he usually just hangs out at home. linebeck comes home much earlier in the winter because he can’t stand to be out in the cold much. they both like the rain, and on rainy days linebeck helps damien with the morning’s farm duties before fishing, and returns early. they often might take walks while it’s raining.

damien is good at a lot of the minigame festivals, and linebeck (obviously) has the most fun with festivals that include fishing.

damien is friends with each of the townspeople while linebeck really only interacts with ones he runs into at fishing spots.

they get the most farming done in the summer since it’s when linebeck is most likely to help with crops. theyre a weird duo to the rest of the town, damien is pleasant and hard working and linebeck seems a bit rude and single-minded about fishing but they hang out a fair bit and seem to like the town.

damien helps linebeck catch all of the legendary fish :)

making damien the farmer for my new stardew valley save might be a decent way to get myself to come up with some new stuff about him
