I began the road down glass photography about three months ago, and I must say that it's one of the more challenging photographic pursuits I've encountered thus far. But it's also the most rewarding. The photo on the left was taken last night, and the one on the right was taken 50 days ago. Both represent my best work at their individual moments in time. I'm very happy with my progress and look forward to the next challenge. I work Monday through Friday and when I get home at night I put on some punk rock music, or a movie I've seen a thousand times so it might as well be another soundtrack, and I practice my photography. I try different lighting techniques, different modifiers, different reflectors, different ways to shape the light around the glass in a flattering way. I browse the catalogues of @iamjeffdimarco, @jlzill, @areysocal, @pyroscopic and others as huge sources of inspiration. Wonderful technical and artistic photographers for sure, but all willing to push themselves to improve constantly, which in and of itself is inspiring.
