This story is just fantastic! It is an amazing case fic filled with foreshadowing, growing closer, dealing with trauma together, and growing closer though it all. The angst and comfort is just magnificent.

Blood Stained Gold by Gitten (AO3)

Adore the art and this story both are so fantastic. The journey was just incredible, I loved the trials and the concept as a whole. Sam working through his trauma, even if he doesn't remember the experience, and becoming better for it. I adore seeing Gabe as well helping out and their dialogue was really on point. This was a magnificent and compelling story. Definitely a reread. ❤️❤️

The premise is intriguing to begin with and the author did a fantastic way of representing Sam’s grief for Dean and realistic aspects of grief sprinkled into it. It made me cry in a number of spots and then there is the amazing art from morokolli to illustrate a number of the different Deans.

Someone recced this fic on Discord, I have 100% read it before and it is an amazing SPN/SPN RPF crossover starting out with Dean meeting Jensen at a coffee shop in LA. The writing is detailed, engaging, plotty, smoking hot and has humor sprinkled into it effortlessly.

I loved Dean’s reactions to reader and how flustered he got around them. I enjoyed everything in that fic, it’s one I reread constantly because it gives you that little pit in your stomach when he thinks it’s the wrong number and reader has no idea, and then I’m smiling again when she tells him to call.

favorite sabriel fics that aren't as well known or just ones you like the most?

For being such a sabriel fan you'd think I'd have an alphabetized selection of all the greatest obscure sabriel fic but truth be told i get exhausted very easily trying to find sabriel fic since gabriel is maybe the number 1 most ooc written character in fandom. (But honestly idk if i can blame them since my friend gabe is such a hard character to write.)

Anyway here's a few of the lesser known ones I like~

WEST COAST SMOKER - Stanford era Sabriel. This one is short and sweet, a nice breath of fresh air. Great characterization and late night atmosphere. The author has a lot more great Sabriel too.

What Team? - Sabriel adjacent. The fic is very short and I think speaks for itself. Very funny and cute. (To be so honest I don't remember ever reading this before but it was in my fic history so I guess I must've.)

If Boy King found Gabriel - Title says it all really. This one might be a little OOC?? but it's not too saccharine and it's a concept I really enjoy.

Grey eyes lifted from the table when his door opened. There stood a very tall, very attractive man who looked far more nervous than he had any right to be. Dorian cocked his head to the side, gestured with one hand to the chair across the small table from him, and smiled. "Have a seat," he offered. Candles burned all around them, bathed them both in a warm and comforting glow, and it only made the man more handsome. This was a lark, or a dare, but Dorian just gestured to his cards. "Shall we?"

He wasn’t sure how it was that Josie and Leliana had talked him into this. Only an hour ago, they’d all been standing around Josie’s desk, talking about her latest... appointment with the spirit realm. Cullen had barely contained his skepticism throughout the wide-eyed tale of the amazing psychic who’d given her such fabulous insight into herself. He thought he’d been 100% transparent on his stance regarding all that psychic foolishness, and yet... And yet he’d made the mistake of musing that no so-called psychic would possibly be able read him, and, sure as shit, the ladies had decided to accept his challenge. They’d grinned the whole way over as Cullen scowled... because his dumb damn pride had dictated that he not refuse the bet. 

The first thing he noticed was the sound of his own heartbeat in his ears. As soon as his hand touched the doorknob, his mouth went dry and his stomach fluttered unpleasantly. The room was dim, lit in a way that was, without a doubt, meant to be mysterious or otherworldly. Of course. 

Annoyed, Cullen squinted his eyes, waiting for them to adjust. As such, he heard the voice before he saw the man. The voice was rich and soft like velvet, and Cullen shook his head for such a ridiculous thought, but he obeyed nonetheless. Sitting, he reached a hand up to run rough fingers through the hair at the base of his skull. A nervous habit, he knew, and jerked his hand away to fold with the other in his lap. Now that he could make out this... psychic in the low candlelight, he realized... he had plenty to be nervous about. Handsome, in a way that was utterly inaccessible and entirely too intimidating for Cullen to find any semblance of comfort. 

But he’d asked a question... or something like it. Shall we? 

“Shall... shall we... what?” Cullen croaked, then coughed to clear his throat, “I... er... I’m sorry. I’ve never, ah... well, I’ve never done anything like this. Not sure how it starts...”
